The UEFA Champions League match between Dortmund vs PSV team has already started. Dortmund team is leading by 1 goal in the first 3 minutes of the game. If L. de Jong and M. You seem to have forgotten that PSV is not a small side, they are actually one of the strongest side in the Netherlands. Some years that Dortmund will not qualify for champions league, you will always see them qualified and they do that not by mistakes. If Dortmund happens to scale through to the next round, they should celebrate their victory as though the won the trophy because they would have just overcame of their biggest huddles in the tournament. PSV might look ordinary to those who are engrossed in English and Spanish leagues but those who do spare time for other less popular leagues will appreciate the fact that PSV is a solid side.

Yeah I watched this match and Atletico Madrid scored one more goal in the 87th minute this means there will be an additional round, I have to say that Inter Milan is really at risk of defeated because so far Atletico Madrid continues to dominate. Edited: Well, right as I said Atletico Madrid won the match through penalties after Depay equalized the aggregate to 2-2 in the 87th minute, this is not just luck but through more efforts from Atletico Madrid since the first half we can see Atletico Madrid have 23 shots and 9 of them are on target so I'm not surprised if Atletico Madrid wins even through a penalty. The question is, who is the next Atletico Madrid opponent in quarter final? whether the team from the Premier League or from Bundesliga?

Ateltico Madrid played more pressing throughout the second half and they made many attempts which were ultimately able to break through Yann Sommer's goal. Several big opportunities failed to be exploited well because they were unlucky, but Depay's success in scoring a goal gives Atletico Madrid great hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals this season.

30 minutes of additional time gave Atletico Madrid the opportunity to fight until the end, even if they lost it would be quite honorable. I agree with you, just that football has changed and there are no small teams anymore in a champions league tie. in the end, Borussia Dortmund won the game with 2 goals, a goal from Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, and a late strike from Marco Reus as Dortmund qualify for the  next stage. I was hoping to see another shootout and it looks like it's a wish granted. The momentum has shifted but I think Atletico would decrease their tempo a bit after securing the equalizing goal on aggregate. Inter could be the one pressing the attack in most of the extra time.

I thought it's going to be an easy one for Inter, but I was very wrong.
We have 104th minute of the game and there's a big chance we're about to see another penalty shootout. If that happens, Atletico should have psychological advantage of playing at home + mental boost for scoring that goal just before the final whistle.
Judging by the statistics (I haven't been watching the game) Atletico was far more offensive, with 20 shots on goal (8 on target) Vs Inter's 11(5).

Absolutely, Dortmund played surprisingly confidently. Sancho's early goal played into the match plan. Eindhoven was under pressure after that and Dortmund repeatedly tried to go for the next goal with pinpricks. But Eindhoven was too harmless. In the end, an individual defensive mistake leads to 2-0 and the decision. Sancho is getting better and better every game. It was clear that he needed some time to get back to the top level after his bad time at Man U. Today he was even Man of the Match.

This is a very strong game,and I will be looking forward to seeing the club that will qualify from this group,but I think Inter will still qualify if they should proceed to penalties.The games are becoming so hard that teams find it very difficult to score goals,because it looks as if all the teams were ready for this season's champions league round of 16.
Inter Milan surprised people last season by getting to the final of the tournament,before being eliminated by Mancity,and I think they may still get to the final this season through luck,and either lose or  eventually win,but I tip them to cross this round of 16.

Inter is out of the league, as Oblak was able to block two penalties, and Martinez played his over the bar. A great victory for Atletico Madrid as they move to the quarter finals stage of the Champions League.

It is quite a tough match for both clubs, and they both performed perfectly. Penalty is a game of luck, and it happens that Atletico Madrid was lucky, and was able to win with 4-2 in the penalty shootout. I don't know why is it that yesterday and today's match ended up with a penalty shootout, and the home side won it in both games.
