I have never liked Simeone and the style of football he is playing at Athletico Madrid to be fair, but I also have to congratulate them that it has been so many years and they are still going strong, even when many of the players change. That is an achievement, yes it is true that they do not win the league that often, but they at least did, and between Real and Barcelona that is a big deal as well. It is going to be pretty awesome to see them lose again lol but at least I can give them their due.

Atletico Madrid might not have won prestigious trophies under Diego Simeone but he has made so much money for the club. The Argentine seems to be the best manager when it comes to raking in money from transfers. He is good at buying cheap players and grooming them to become expensive.

They might not be able to compete for the La Liga trophy this season because of the quality of Barcelona and Real Madrid but they have qualified for the quarterfinals of the UCL and would be meeting a club that is in the same level with them. I also congratulate Simone because he has always proved to be a reliable coach by always ensuring that his club gets a Champion League ticket.

I believe that people should realize that it is not going to be that easy to achieve what they did, look at French teams for example, yeah PSG is there, but anyone else? ATM is getting crumbs left to them and still managing big things.

A big kudos to the manager because he has always maximized the meagre funds available to the club to buy some good players. The club is not wasteful like some clubs in England yet they are still able to be competitive for trophies. If Simone gets the same kind of financial support other too teams have, they will achieve more.

Why do you make a comparison between Girona who is in La Liga and an English team like Manchester City who is currently in the Champions League and is also in a not bad position in the Premier League? I don't think that the two teams can be compared well enough because I think the strengths of Girona and Manchester City are very different.
