I find Inter Milan way better than Atletico Madrid this season and I expect them to win and to qualify for the next round. It is true playing home is in favour of Atletico Madrid but seeing the latest results and performance of each team, I wonder how will Simeone do to overtake Inter. Not obvious in my opinion.

The game is much more interesting so far. Two goals were scored a few minutes ago. The first goal was actually scored by Inter Milan, Dimarco with a beautiful move beforehand to make it 0:1. But only 2 minutes later it was 1:1 through Griezmann and Yann Sommer in goal had no chance. Now it is half-time and Inter Milan still have the better situation with the 1-0 win in the first game. I think coach Inzaghi will play a bit more defensively in the next 20-30 minutes in half-time 2, so that Atletico Madrid risk more and the chances of a goal for Inter increase. I also think that the Italians will win today.

What a fight in the form of a football match between Atletico Madrid and Iner Milan! Antoine Griezmann scored just two minutes after Federico Dimarco gave Inter Milan the first half lead. The early equalizer made the celebration of the first goal short-lived. Before I concluded analyzing the chances of Atletico Madrid in the wake of two zero aggregate, they scored and that changed everything.  Now their morale is so high at the perception of a glimmer of home at making it even in aggregate. The match can turn either was because both teams are playing beautiful football

The Atletico - Inter Milan game is touch and go at the moment. But at first I thought that Inter Milan would have more ball possession than they now actually have. Atletico is right into the game and there is nothing lost. Everyone knows what's waiting during the second half when Atletico plays in the Champions League and they need this one goal to equalize or make it to the next round. I think this is going to be a hell of a Champions League game during the second half.

I definitely prefer it this way. When Dimarco scored, I took a deep breath for a second because I thought that this could in a boring rest of the game. Very good that Griezmann immediately countered and now it's going to be an intense second 45 minutes for Inter.

This is an interesting match because Atletico Madrid actually doesn't want to lose at home. Atletico Madrid still has a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals, that's why they are trying their best to look as good as possible. I know Inter are favorites to advance to the quarter-finals, especially after Napoli and Lazio failed in their respective matches. Inter are the only expected Serie A representatives, so they will do their best too.

Previously, Milan had failed in the group stage, Lazio was beaten by Bayern Munich, while Napoli was beaten by Barcelona. If Atletico Madrid manages to progress today to the quarter-finals, then they will be the third team from La Liga to reach the quarter-finals this season after Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Inter still leads 2-1 on aggregate and even if Atletico score another, Inter steal leads on away goals. Hence, Atletico truly needs 2 more goals just to be clear winners of the fixture.
edit: there's no away goal rule in Champions League anymore. The game goes into extra time irrespective of the away goals. THe rule was abolished in season 2021/22.

PSV showed some heart last time out in the 1st leg and thought it would be the same story traveling to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund, but guess what...BVB had other ideas and they have turned up to spoil the PSV party and look very dangerous tonight whenever they attack ,and already got rewarded with a beautiful Sancho goal...and if PSV don't change tactics in the second half this could see another goal for them as they have been creating several chances...

But Deigo Simoene is known to be a smart tactician who knows how to exploit counterattacks if there is any opportunity. Inter Milan has been having a splendid season and they are coming into this game with a win over Bologna. Inter made it to the finals last season and they are in good shape to achieve the same feat this season.

You don't compare league matches with the champions league because these are two clubs from different leagues that doesn't Play frequently so you can't judge the both teams base on the outcome of their previous league matches and moreover, Atletico Madrid is known to be very good in defending rather than attacking though Inter Milan seems to be giving Atletico Madrid a tough play in this game and of which they were able to score before Atletico Madrid equalized but believe me, Atletico Madrid doesn't joke with their home ground so it's either they would play to maintain this score or they might even win Inter Milan.

Let's forget the consistency of Inter Milan in their league matches, if you watch the group stage matches you would know that Inter Milan struggled before they were able to make it to the round of sixteen and in recent years, the Spanish teams have been dominating in the champions league so it wouldn't be a thing of surprise to me if Atletico wins Inter Milan in this match as they are already 1:1 in the break so let's see how the second half would turn out to be.

Sancho is a very talented and skilled player, it's just that Erik Ten Hag no longer likes him at Manchester United, which is why you won't see his performances in the team. Before he left Dortmund and came to Manchester United, you'd know that Sancho is a good player that any team would want to have on their team. Dortmund has already qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, as for me, because Dortmund are better than them and they are doing well on the pitch, but psv can change their information in the second half and get the chance and score goals to me incurred in the aggregate and probably go to extra time, and if Dortmund mistakenly and psv put goals. in will be very difficult for Dortmund to revenge and qualify to the next around, they shiuld just maintain the one goals if they can't add another goals in the match.

I took my eyes off Athletico Madrid vs Inter game for 5 minutes and two goals were scored apiece. Athletico Madrid started really well and Inter did a good job to fend off those early Athletico Madrid threat. So far, I have enjoyed the game — it's been a 50/50 game but my money is on Inter to qualify for the quarter final


For Dortmund vs PSV, that classic Sancho low drive to give Dortmund the lead. PSV needs to do better because they were not really a threat in the first half; that's if they still plan to make the quarter finals. I will be back at full time.

Actually, that's what I hope for in this fight. Both teams have the same chance of advancing to the quarter-finals even though Inter currently have a 1-2 aggregate advantage. Atletico Madrid performed well in the first half and I saw they had several good opportunities to score goals, but unfortunately Antoine Griezmann failed to convert them into goals.

Atletico Madrid will probably force Inter to play longer in the second leg, I mean until the penalty round. But I also realize that Inter have squad depth that can get them through without needing extra time, especially because the team's performance is very consistent.

If you learned how the performance of PSV in Leg 1 and in group stage, they are quite tough team. So far, they only got 1 defeat in group stage. With the fact, it won't be easy to beat PSV although this match is held in Dortmund home. I just hope that Dortmund can keep their leading until the end of the match although it is 1 goal only. It is nice to see Jadon Sancho scoring a goal again, it means he already gets his confident playing with Dortmund squad. it is so much different when they played with Man United squad.

Watching inter Milan and Atletico playing is actually an interesting game, they ended the first half in a draw aggregating to a 1-2 for inter Milan, I'd it happens that this game ends with the present score of 1-2 then inter Milan will definitely qualify while Atletico will be exiting the champions league at this stage this season, but if it happens that Atletico gets to score another goal then it will be thst they will surely have to play a penalty shoot because the aggregate will be 2-2.

Inter Milan has got great performance in tonight game and Atletico aswell has got great resilience in their performance, they have shown how much they can perform so well in this match and may be able to win if given the chance , although inter Milan was the first to score a goal , it wasn't long there after Atletico aswell got a goal too and since then we are yet to record another goal, late see how it's going to end by the second half. Both team to me are performing very well and have got almost equal chan except for the fact that inter Milan has got an advantage already.

Inter Milan if they are able to get pass this stage, they may be aiming for the finals again like they did last season in as much as it's achievable, they aswell have to try to perform much more than their regular performance in their domestic league as that's the way which they can be sure to be able to get to the next stage of the league an finally a chance to the finals but they still don't look like they have posted the ability to win the champions league.

Dortmund seems promising this season, they have the fire in them. Currently leading 1-0 against PSV. It's difficult and too early for these elite teams to start displaying dissapointing results to their supporters, they sits in good position to win crucial matches and its definitely going to be of good importance. Edin Terzic taking his team to another level but I don't trust him because the presence of other oppositions will served as hindrance to him. Borrusia Dortmund are supposed to comfortably win PSV without having any challenges because PSV doesn't match up the elite side status.
