They're competitive, we know that but they lacks the confidence and experience to follow up these elite clubs and besides there group becomes the very challenging group in UEFA Champions League this season. Group F comprises of Paris Saint-Germain, Borrusia Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle united, these clubs are here not to jeopardize their actions of not qualifying. The end of the UCL road for Newcastle United this season, the Magpies losts to AC Milan which would have made then see the european spot but got defeated, Eddie Howe will work out plans to become stronger next time.

Newcastle real started the season on a very good note and really did  performed brilliantly in their early kick offs which did made it looked feasible for them to possibly get pass the group stage and probably be amongst the 16 teams who will be competing to get to the quarter finals of the league, it would have been a good achievement.

Winning their very first game at the champions league made it looked like they were really ready and will go far in the champions league, meanwhile they had a good performance in the premier league aswell which further made it looked like they were in good form this season, but it turned out that they lacked the experience to really face the teams that were in the same group with them because these teams have got the experience, PSG have been in the champions league severally and even got passed the round of 16 a few times so they were most definitely not exiting the UCL at the group stage same as AC Milan with the Europa which the happened to qualify for by virtue of failing to get pass the group stage in the UCL. New castle will have to focus on the premier league again and hope to qualify for the UCL again by next season.

I saw the game Newcastle played and lost in the EPL and I was like, ok they have a good reason for losing that game but this game against Ac Milan was so annoying to see the home side getting that goal that should have been the only lifeline they had but they couldn't defend to the last. I expected more from the EPL team (Newcastle) but they played like fatigue had gotten hold of them all.
To me I prefer the Newcastle of last season to this one we're seeing now, these set of players are not really up to the task and I don't see them coming back to compete in the UCL next season, this is the end of Newcastle playing the champions league.

The result of this match is predictable because just like i said before Newcastle was facing storm injured and before the match begin Newcastle have to lost some of their key players just like Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman and their goalkeeper Nick Pope so this make Newcastle was unable to showing good performance so that's why i was predict this match will belongs to Milan but unfortunately although Milan win from this match but they unable to qualify to the next round because PSG has better goals difference than them

For the match on Group H Porto who has crucial match yesterday against Shakhtar and playing at home Porto actually only required at least draw result to qualified but they were successfully to collect 3 points after humiliated Shakhtar with big scores and this result make Porto can able to occupy second place and they have equal points to Barcelona 12 points

Looking at the previous meetings between Borrussia Dortmund and PSG, you'll see that they find it difficult to triumph at away games when facing Dortmund. Luis Enrique should buckle up, the going gets tougher from here..

Yes, that's right, especially at the start of the match, Mbappe could have actually scored a goal because he had passed the goalkeeper if his shot was very fast and precise, but he was able to block it by Dortmund's back line, Dortmund's back line was very good, that's why in the first half the game was very tight without a goal. from both of them and I think Luis Enrique seemed to pressure his team to play better in the second half.

Dortmund were left behind due to lack of communication at PSG's back line so they had to concede and Dortmund won 1 - 0, but not long after that PSG was able to respond quickly without waiting long through Warren Zaïre-Emery's powerful kick taking advantage of the gap which sent the ball into the goal with It's easy, this draw certainly helps PSG qualify for the next round with Dortmund, Acmilan and Newcastle having to be satisfied with the results they got.

Group stage was very unfair for Newcastle United to be honest. Considering how bad Manchester United was in that group with Galatasaray and Kopenhag, Newcastle could go even to next round if they were in that group. I believe Kopenhag is the most generic team into the next round. They have solid defence that can resist even big teams but they will definitely have hard time scoring a goal. Expecting quick elimination from them.

It's hard to accept the reality and this is how group stage is going on. Newcastle was unlucky to be placed in the very difficult group while some clubs like arsenal or barcelona placed at the easiest group in UCL. Did you think that there should be a re draw?
Let's say that if newcastle was just unlucky to face some strong clubs at the same time. This can be considered as a very important test for newcastle as wellI know that newcastle was not that strong but this can be a very important lesson for the club.

Newcastle needs try its luck again in the future. The coach has become the main problem right now. Newcastle needs to sign someone like mourinho who can transform the club to be even better.
Let's hope that newcastle will able to qualify again for the UCL next season but the chance is pretty small though. I consider that if there are some clubs are on fire right now.

 All the laliga teams that participated in the champions league excelled and even moved on to the round of 16, except for Sevilla, but amongst all of them, the club that stood out was Real Madrid who never lost in all the six games, raking in all 18 points. Not like they needed that much to prove they have qualified, it just shows that the group is not that competitive unlike Group F which is regarded as the group of death.

Out of the four  English teams (Man UTD, Newcastle united, Arsenal and Man City) that made it to the champions league, it's just Arsenal and Man City that made it to the round of 16 and I must say the EPL is not as strong as it used to be in the UCL. Before, if it was four teams that participated in the champions league, it's either all four will qualify or three for the round of 16, but now it's not the case and considering that the EPL is one of the best leagues, this is below their standards.
 I just hope the remaining two EPL clubs advance to the next stage, especially Arsenal who haven't tasted UCL action for over 6 years and that their habit of not making it past the RO16 changes this time around.

I will blame that on the injury list which the club has been managing since the beginning of this campaign. Eddie has really done his best but there was nothing more he could have done when almost all the fist team squad are injured. To me Newcastle really did very well, but they have to improve and come back to the competition hopefully next season.

They were beaten by Everton and Spurs with 3 goals difference. Basically Newcastle played well against Milan in the first half by dominating the ball possession, shots on goal etc and Milan was not even able to create 1 shot on goal in the 1st half. Surprisingly Milan were able to improve a lot in the 2nd half and create more goal attempts than Newcastle. It proves that there was something wrong with Newcastle and it may also happen if they were in Man United position.

I don't think fatigue was an issue because other clubs in the UCL are also competing in more than one competition. They would have been consoled by a Europe league slot but they ended up in the bottom of Group F. They are currently in seventh position with 26 points. I think they should consider getting more players during the January transfer opening if they want to compete for the EPL. Well it all depends on the budget of the club and how long most of the injuries will last.

I love the outcome of the game tonight and PSG did what I expected of them because it wouldn't have make sense had Paris St. German crash out of the champion this early. With the the kind of form and determination I saw in Borussia Dortmund team this season's champions league, you will easily tell that PSG will not win Dortmund in their home soil, therfore going their and getting a draw was the best option so far in securing the second spot in the group to qualify for the next round of competition.

Why wouldn't it  had made sense should they PSG had been eliminated from the champion's league last night. Please expand your point, because from all I know following these games from the very beginning apart from Brussia Dortmund, Newcastle was the next team in the group F that played with great seriousness and energy in their games, they had good results won their first games had it not being for injuries on their players

 I don't think PSG would have survived to the next stage of the UCL. They PSG were just lucky to scale through, without them in the next round the competition would have still made sense. I still feel PSG are not ready yet to win the UCL trophy going by the way they are struggling in the competition, I wouldn't be surprised they get knockout from the R16 stage.

Newcastle first season in the UCL has been quite good but because this is a tough competition consistency is needed as well as a mental get used to it. Maybe this season Newcastle failed in the Group stage but  they can still achieve success next season as long as the Domestic League is able to improve it.  It's not easy for Newcastle, where competition in the Premier League is now getting tougher. Several injuries to players certainly affect optimization in the attack line. Milan which usually performs well also had to be eliminated and could only enter UEL, for PSG and  Dortmund their journey will be even more difficult after this. However at least in Group F these two clubs have fought  quite well and have played against tough clubs.  In the future Dortmund and PSG will not necessarily be able to survive in  the last 16.

In my opinion, their problems are from midfielders and defenders who failed in defensive and let opponents scoring too many goals and won over Newcatsle United. In Champions League, Newcatsle United played well generally and they can be proud of their performances. If they can join it again next season, I expect better performances from them.

True but if you compare their champions league form, you will see that they would have at least made it to Europa league, their chances of winning against Spurs was slim especially since Nick Pope was injured and we all know the issues Spurs were having recently was being able to convert their chances to goals and we could see even from the fact that Richarlison got a brace.
Yesterday was another embarrassing day for Barcelona though they still finish top in their group but they beaten 3 goals to 2 by bottom member of the group Antwerp. They were able to convert their 2 shots on target out of 3 to goals in their 11 shots, I guess that's a good stat compared to their recent matches and they also hold a strong ball possession but that didn't stop Antwerp to defeat them, Antwerp having 11 shots, 5 on target and 3 as a goal.

Most expect Newcastle to qualify for the next round but in fact, as I said long before yesterday's match, I said that Newcastle does not have enough experience like Milan, who often have experience in the CL and on the one hand, Newcastle performance is very good but cannot be as consistent as Milan facing the last match because Milan has a strategy that unknown to Newcastle and we have to accept the fact that the hope this time is only to get the best place in the premier league.
But I slightly disagree with you in the first word, you said you want Newcastle to qualify just because this club's performance is good in the Premier League, but that's not the concept because in the domestic league and CL it is very different. In the domestic league a club will only compete as is, whereas in CL matches. All players will work optimally to help their club qualify for the next round. and for me Newcastle is not very stable in the premier league and you can see from the points table that Newcastle is only able to get 2 wins from their last 5 matches.
If the reason is because of injured players, look at MC yesterday match without Haaland, who is clearly Pep Guardiola mainstay, the fact that he was able to compete away, beating Re Star and injured players, is not an excuse for a club that wants to be strong in the CL, the coach should be able to assign reserve players in the right place.

Newcastle's performance in this season's UEFA Champions League group stage might not be enough to have taken them to the knockout stages of the competition but it wasn't as bad as that of their English counterparts Manchester United who found themselves in a more favorable group than that of Newcastle. Despite been drawn in the most difficult group of the competition after twenty years Newcastle's of absence in the competition Newcastle still have delivered a good performance and were seconds away from claiming a huge victory at the Parc des Princes, the home ground of Paris Saint Germaine last two weeks before they were denied by a stoppage time controversial penalty which Kylian Mbappe converted.

 Manchester United on the other had a very poor outing in the competition this year because many including bookmakers expected them to join Bayern Munich as the two clubs that should make it out if the Group B. In a group that consists of other clubs like Galatasaray and Copenhagen, Manchester United was only able to win just one game out of the six games played and finished fourth in the group. I'm still surprised that the club is yet to sack their manager Erik Ten Hag

Maybe Barcelona were already comfortable as they guaranteed finishing the group as the leader. However I still wouldn't have expected them to lose to Antwerp in the last game. Antwerp also had no goal to achieve left in the end. Barcelona should have played better and won this game. Xavi also stated how bad they were in this game.

They lost two games in this comfortable group so I'm curious about their performance in later rounds. If they don't get lucky with the draw I think they would be likely to get eliminated early. But at least there is some progress as they couldn't even get past the group stage in the recent seasons.

Newcastle was very unlucky because they had to enter the group stage in Group F along with strong teams, when in fact the other three teams were the most experienced teams in the Champions League. Milan, PSG and Dortmund. They are all familiar with matches in the Champions League. Because almost every season they always come to UCL. In contrast to Newcastle, which has very little experience in the UCL.

Talking about whether Newcastle will progress to the next stage or not if they are in Group A. I think the answer is quite difficult. Because if you look at the current facts, Newcastle has actually lost its consistency after they lost many players due to injury. And currently in the EPL Newcastle is ranked below Man Utd. So we don't know whether Newcastle will be better than Man Utd. But I personally actually see the potential for Newcastle to be successful if they are in Group A. Because somehow Newcastle has a stronger mentality when playing in the UCL. This is different from Man Utd, where the players' mentality seems to weaken when playing in the UCL. But now it's all over for the group stage. And it's a shame that Newcastle and Man Utd didn't even make it to the Europa League group stage.

Not really in terms of their performance, but taking everything into account, No doubt Newcastle did well but I option for PSG as one of the big name teams that most supporters would not want to see leave so early but want them to progress in the competition ,even to the final game stage. Personally, I prefer to have PSG stay in the competition because I can spare time to go watch PSG games than I will think to spare time to go watch Newcastle games.

Sincerely speaking there is no comparison between Newcastle and Manchester United this season. Moreover the same Newcastle has bitten them in the league. It's just unfortunate that they had to exit the champions league in this manner. I don't even want to talk about Manchester United as their performance is really below their standard. If Newcastle was seeded in the group Manchester United was, they would have come out of the group as runners up or win the group self.

Oh my gosh, it happened again and this time it was PSG's turn to dash my hopes of winning the multibet.

I can't understand why PSG always destroys my winnings when I bet on them in the Champions League and even though the match against Dortmund ended in a draw, they should have won last night's match. So many opportunities were created and there was a moment where Mbappe managed to get past the goalkeeper but there was Niklas Sule who managed to block his shot.

Even though at first I started betting on 65 minutes and above for all matches, I was very confident in the two teams that could possibly win from group F and that was Milan and PSG. For Milan, they managed to answer my predictions and unfortunately PSG disappointed me again. Meanwhile, for the other two matches, I also correctly took the over 3.5 result for the Antwerp vs Barcelona match and am not sure Barcelona will be able to turn things around. On the other hand, Celtic vs Feyenoord is also a match that does not have any impact on the group position so I take a double chance for one of the teams to win.

Well, the Champions League matchday 6 on Wednesday was also not in my favor and it seems like this is the first time I haven't made anything in group stage betting.
