Although dominating is actually what is needed in a match is a victory. there is no point in dominating the match if the final result loses. but lazio's victory was also not good enough to get a penalty and the opponent got a red card too. it seems that his victory was helped by the referee.

If all you see is victory in a match, why do you accuse a referee of helping a team achieve victory? I think it is appropriate for all football fans to see how a match goes even if one gets a red card and another wins with a penalty kick. Because whatever happens in the match must be disclosed and everything that is considered valid, there is no need to complain anymore after the match, even though some fans of the losing team feel quite sick if the team they like cannot win in today's match.

Asides of being the goalkeeper the figure of the game (im talking about the copenaghe goalkeeper) i think Copenaghe was made a super match against the current champion and also one of the contender of this year, if the last goal didnt enter we can be see a narrow 2-1, i know still not chance in Manchester but you know one goal is only one goal away from the mircale.

The quality, mentality and all of things are very different between city and copenhagen. I have no reason to say copenhagen would win the game even before the game has started. Copenhagen is likely making everything become even better compared to the last season. copenhagen needs more than a miracle to win against city.
Look at the impact being made by de bruyne after he has joined in the club again. De bruyne has been making massive impact that was also helping the club to consistently winning anygame.

Arguing copenhagen could win the game totally non sense thing. I meant the standard of manchester city was very high. Even im sure that the secondary squad of manchester city will able to beat copenhagen easily. The gap was not too big but it's impossible to achieve it caused by city has higher foundation compared to the copenhagen.
Yet losing two more goals as aggregate put copenhagen in very big pressure. The club needs to win the game with at least 3 goals against city only if city will not add another goal.

When I saw the two fixtures of the two games played tonight, I thought PSG victory will be harder than Bayern Munich one. Real Sociedad is a good team and might pick a draw against better opponents, yet PSG managed to beat them by two goals, one of it was scored by Kylian Mbappe as usual!
Now in the other game, Lazio isn't consistent in Serie A but they won against Bayern Munich by one goal. The red card shouldn't be an excuse in my opinion since Bayern Munich could score a goal or even win with 10 players in normal conditions. That was simply not their day. Lazio should be worried in the second leg, Bayern will not let them pass easily and 1 goal difference is nothing after all.

With two goals, they have big advantage for a next match and nearly reserve a ticket for quarter finals. Even they will play home-away next match, it will not likely they will be beaten more than two goals in that match.

Bayern Munich continued to prolong their bad streak and probably Tuchel has the second-leg match to save his position. If Bayern Munich fail to go to quarter finals in Champions League, he will be sacked. At least with only 1 goal difference, Bayern Munich with their home stadium can beat Lazio with two goal difference. I already said this in the europa league thread, but im not really into this matches of the round of 16 in this year, and that is because the matchmaking is shit, for example today, COpenaghe against Manchester City doesnt stand a chance.

I think that this is something normal caused by sometimes the small club was not lucky enough in facing the big club but i think that this is happening through the legitimate process and there's was not wrong thing in the drawing process. Copenhagen was not lucky enough to face manchester and this is pure the factor of luck.
Let's way that if copenhagen was not lucky to have city as its opponent. There are lots of club were also getting the same thing like copenhagen but since this is a competition and that's fine. There was no second chance in UCL once a small club faced the big clubs and this small club has no chance to make it better.

Leipzig can be a good amtch but only when leipzig is in his home, in the overall result they dont stand any chance against Real Madrid.

Even leipzig can do nothing against real madrid at home. Let's talk about the fact that if real madrid and manchester city are the strongest team in the UCL this season. Bayern recently losses against lazio which was surprising anyone.

I didn't expect Munich to be defeated by Lazio in the first leg, even though if you look at Munich strength, it is much greater than Lazio, even though Munich had more control over the course of the match, but unfortunately Munich had to suffer defeat. Yes, PSG is still very strong for Real Sociedad, PSG players are very confident playing at their headquarters. They didn't give Real Sociedad any space to penetrate their defensive area. PSG's attack could not be stopped by Real Sociedad players, the two goals obtained in the second half were enough for PSG and became good capital for the second leg.
The trauma of the defeat to Leverkusen is still hindering the development of Bayern's game, they are still having difficulty scoring goals even though they are facing inconsistent opponents in the domestic league. PSG really deserved what they got from this match that made them to defeated Real sociedad 2-0 to embraced the three points, because PSG manager used the right players to start the match and it was a good results at the end. Bayern Munich was in a good form to defeat their opponent which we saw in the first half that made them to dominated through out the 45 minutes that lead to draw 0-0, but the red card game Lazio the opportunity to take the advantage to achieved victory at the end of the match. Actually, I hope that PSG will be able to score 3 scores in the home match to get safe position in the 2nd leg match to get bigger aggregate score and I'm not worried about the away match, it's just that Real Sociedad when they play at home will have very big strength in their defense I see it very strong and at least PSG must try to maintain the score they have to qualify and yesterday Mbappe was quite aggressive.

I think what makes Madrid strong and favorites is their winning mentality. I think a score of 1-0 is enough for them because they can really perform solidly and have a very good mentality. You can see how they were able to escape the pressure in La Liga when Girona put pressure on them in the previous few weeks. They were able to play solidly and yesterday they were able to beat Girona 4-0 and make them very likely to become La Liga champions this season. I think the same thing will happen in the Champions League. They won't be able to score a lot of goals but they will be able to perform solidly in every match.

It should be noted that Leipzig also played very well, especially in the first minutes of the match they had several opportunities to score... Sociedad being fully dominated by PSG away. PSG was consistently attacking sociedad and some blunders being made by sociedad in the game. No doubt if mbappe being called as one of great winger in the world. His first goal against sociedad was also destroying the mentality from the club. Very disappointed to see that sociedad keeps to use attacking strategy instead of going fully defensive against PSG away. This is the biggest mistake being made by sociedad this time. It's caused by it was only giving PSG opportunities to continuously attacking the club. I think that the result might be different if sociedad was putting the buss in front of the goal keeper.

The only way to play better when you are playing away by going fully defensive against it. Sociedad has been pulling out all of its experience and yeah it can't rush to go fully offensive against PSG.
The next match is going to be even harder for sociedad and the chance to lose in the upcoming game is very big for this club. what a disappointed strategy implemented by sociedad. This guy played 433 which was not even worthy to be used against PSG which has better quality than sociedad.

The win obtained by PSG over Real Sociedad did not surprised me at all, since PSG was unfortunate to face very difficult opponents during the group phase and this forced them to be unseeded, but the win Lazio obtained over Bayern Munich is in fact very surprising, Bayern Munich is one of the teams that is considered to be favorites to win the UCL, and if Lazio is able to kick them out on the round of 16, this will make the road to the title for Real Madrid and Manchester City many times easier.
