If you look at it as a whole, Real Madrid is a bit of a favorite and that's quite natural in my opinion, but as you said, in the Champions League anything is possible and there are things that are different from the team's performance in their domestic league.

Some argue PSG is lucky, as they got a red card break against Barca. Football requires more than luck. PSG's shown they know how to win, best believe that. The coach is great and knows Champions League. Dortmund's win over Atletico was stunning. They've shown their mettle. PSG had the best of the prior encounters, but here is the next round. Dortmund is on fire, but PSG is ahead. They perform well when needed. PSG will need to play well, but I know they can since they're great players. I respect this challenge's unpredictability.

In football game, there will surely be mistake that will make one team to win for their opponent to lose, and PSG prepared well for that game to beat Barcelona and they made it to beat Barcelona and lock them out from the UEFA champion league competition.

Basically, it is a 50-50 chance, but I have to say that the penalty Silva wasted was a disaster. I would never dare to take a penalty that way against Real Madrid in the quarterfinals (or any other stage for that matter). These guys have great technique and are able to put these penalties very precisely into the corners. Why don't they just focus and then execute like Ronaldo did most of the time. There is no chance for the goalkeeper to get his hands behind a penalty that is taken with force and precision. I would rather hit the post and lose than the way that Silva wasted it. It's dumb to do that. Of course you can always fail to score a goal and maybe the goalkeeper is on point that day and anticipates the right corner a couple of times. But tipping the ball into the middle like that, I would have screamed at him as a coach.

So we agree that if Araujo didn't make a mistake at that time and was given a red card, it wouldn't be certain that Paris Saint-Germain would qualify for the semifinals. but in fact, PSG did play aggressively against Barcelona before Araujo was sent off. that's why Luis Enrique's squad deserves to qualify for the semifinals of the Champions League, and the fact that PSG won the battle against Barcelona regardless of luck. well, in a previous post I said that Paris Saint-Germain has a better chance than Borussia Dortmund. apart from these two teams having met in the Group F phase, now Dortmund and PSG meet again in the semifinal phase.

Talking about Dortmund, Edin Terzic's team is struggling in its domestic league to finish in the top 4 of the Bundesliga. because, if Dortmund is unable to do so and falls in the semifinal phase. so it is a great shame that Borussia Dortmund will not be participating in the Champions League competition next season. so Dortmund must win all its matches in the domestic league, and also fight hard to appear all out in the Champions League when fighting against Paris Saint-Germain. IMO, Paris Saint-Germain has a far greater advantage than its opposing team, the chances of Luis Enrique's team appearing more focused than Dortmund who have to fight in two competitions at once.

I can recall the group stage and here they are again, when you check that last games between these sides, you'd see that Paris Saint Germans are taking the lead for the wins, and having just a single lose against Borrussia Dortmund in the Champions League Competition.

Paris Saint Germans will not disappoint like they did during the group stage, it's also impressive to see two teams from Group H ( HELL ) here together in the Semi Finals.

Parisians have currently seen some improvements, I'm not sure they will let down themselves against Dortmund, they will definitely fight for this position.

Even though Real Madrid is basically still a candidate team to win the title, but there are still a lot of people who expect Bayern Munich can qualify for the final, and that includes me. The effects of a red card on any team is something thst can't be overlooked because it has a way of messing with the minds of the players and even their orientation is definitely going to change because they are most definitely not going to be as effective as they should be as a little amount of pressure will now be exerted on the players to enable them get to see if they can cover up for the space that has been created by the red card.

For the opponent a red card is always an advantage except if it's an opponent that happens to be very weak who cannot seize opportunity in a red card but for a team like PSG we should definitely expect they are going to use the advantage to the fullest which was actually exactly what they did, PSG isn't a team that is to be considered weak and that was actually one reason that got Barcelona pressured because they know that PSG is very determined and will most definitely going to make good use of the advantage they have got and ofcourse it was a very helpful one for them actually.

PSG if they should face Dortmund the way they did with Barcelona i think they will be able to keep the German side in their toes In as much as the German side is also a tough side to handle in the champions league although they don't have much experience but then they are not to be seen as weak either so it's relatively a huge one for PSG to face but then most likely they look like they are up to the task and can handle it.
