It was very interesting and emotional game I have witnessed this season. Honestly speaking, I didn't expect such high level performance from Borussia Dortmund but they surprised everyone with extra ordinary display especially in the first half of the match. Coming this far, they battle against some of the best teams in their respective leagues but they miraculously scale through the challenges to witness the final.

A total of 8 shots in the 1st should have resulted in 1 goal for Dortmund but it failed to happen. Dortmund appeared quite promising in the first half with efforts built by Karim Adeyemi together with Jadon Sancho which made Nacho as Real Madrid's defender have to be extra careful.
From the 8 total shots made by Dortmund, 2 saves by Courtois saved Real Madrid's goal from conceding.

I regret Edin Terzic's strategy when he replaced Adeyemi. Instead of replacing Julian Brandt, Terzic actually took Adeyemi off and brought in Reus. Not long after the substitution, Carvajal scored.
Dortmund should have played with two strikers in the second half if their finishing was bad in the first half.

Dortmund had tried to find a goal with several dangerous attacks, but poor finishing meant they were unable to score a goal against Real Madrid. Real Madrid had to try hard to beat Dortmund, they were unable to break down Dortmund's defense in the first half. Dani Carvajal managed to open Real Madrid lead in the 74th minute and was then complemented by Vinicius in the 83rd minute. This advantage lasted until the match ended and made them the team that managed to win the 15th Champions League trophy in history.

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the top coaches in the history of Real Madrid and also football. He's well groomed when it have to deal with young players. You can't do the comparison with Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti, there's more difference to spot out. Zidane was in possession of big names that knows exactly what to do without awaiting instructions from the coach, we're talking about the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale in the frontline, the midfield and defendlines was pointed out to be formidable. But for Carlo Ancelotti, he brought up young players that knows how to exert energy towards their opponents.
