it's not only women who the majority don't like gambling but there are also many men who don't like gambling so in this case I think the conditions are balanced. According to my observations, there is still a big difference between men and women in terms of gambling.  All the same, if we imagine the classic family of a man, his wife and children, then in 90% of cases a man is addicted to gambling, the wife always grumbles and swears at her husband that he does nothing at home, but only gambles and loses family money.  I can hardly imagine the same picture in family life, when, on the contrary, the husband scolds and drives his wife away from the computer because she does not do anything useful and does not look after the children, does not cook food, does not wash dirty things in the house and  etc.  .  .  and does nothing at all around the house.  In my opinion, if such families occur, then this is a rare exception.

Alcohol dependence to me is also addiction because thing you can't do without becomes addiction. Gambling addiction and alcohol dependence is measured to be operating in same way only that in alcohol, you get drunk and misbehave because of intoxication which could lead you to getting naked, harming yourself or other people or total lost of control that can cause you bodily harm. But the salient point about addiction is losing of control towards your normal actions and that is present in both gambling and alcohol dependence.

Women are less prone to entering alcohol addiction, but if they have entered it, then it is harder for women to get out of it than for men.

I don't totally agree that women are harder to get out of alcohol addiction than men. I think it is the same measure. They both need external help and if they receive such help appropriately then they should get out of it because it is the brain that controls the loss of control and not gender or sex based.

You are right, there is likely not much difference from men and women in gambling, aside the fact that we have way more men gambling than women, and this probably have made the whole thing look as if men are more and easily addicted to gambling than women do...

The same way we see so many men who are addicted to gambling on the streets, maybe so also we would have been seeing addicted women as well, if the number of women in gambling is the same, or even slightly close to the number of men in gambling.

Undoubtedly, there is no difference for luck, who is in the place of the gambler. Be it a woman, a man, or even a dog. In gambling (with the possible exception of card games, where you still have to use your brain) there is no need to possess any special physical or mental abilities. The casino doesn't care who the player is and the probability of winning is the same for everyone. Truly, this is the only place in the world where everyone can be equal.

As for addiction, I've heard the opposite, that women are more prone to it. How many people - so many opinions. As long as it is impossible to prove or disprove without proper research, everything remains at the level of rumors and speculation.

Women are not really associated with gambling yes, there are some areas of life that are known with some sex. So if you are a woman and you gamble alot or even openly, there is a way that the society see such woman like they are usually labelled bad but this is not the same with the male counterparts. Moreso, regarding to men, a man who also gambles a lot but takes good care of his family is also looked differently by the society compared to that man who only gambles without taking care of the home but behaves irresponsible.
