It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I may be careful with disposable Exchanges, but your choice. I don't get it. Peoples jump in mass on coins with huge premine, IPO..., and let alone coins with fair launch and no premine..., not sure what to think anymore, hype hype... (scrypt i know). Keep in mind the coin can be MERGED mined! and have a wallet integrated block explorer. { "blocks" : 17650, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.24621205, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 44463440, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Thanks for doing the leg work on that mdawg! Xnigma.com is now running orderbooks for CDN/BTC, CDN/LTC, and CDN/DOGE... CDN/BTC: https://xnigma.com/markets/view/104CDN/LTC: https://xnigma.com/markets/view/105CDN/DOGE: https://xnigma.com/markets/view/106Thanks to Xnigma, really appreciate the vote of confidence and wish them best of luck =D Volume had been light on both exchanges hosting CDN orderbooks because we have been working hard wiring up some services to support this project, and not in the reverse order of publicizing before you have something to publicize... So with that in mind... Our new website went live yesterday (replacing our initial information page which served just as information for launch purposes), with a lot more info accessible to assist those who might be coming at CDN from a non-crypto angle, as well as the relevant info for well-versed crypto folks. There is also a faucet dripping 5.01 CDN and that will be running for the foreseeable future. Check it out, thanks!!

I see no reasons for mining CDN directly now, as merged mining works very well! If you want to test it out without going through the hassle of setting up your own p2pool server, you are welcome to join at my experimental server in Amsterdam. Point your miner to http://95.85.51.210:9327 with your Litecoin address as username and x as password. Litecoins then gets paid out directly to your wallet, when the p2pool-network finds a block, if you contributed any shares. There are currently no functionality to see who found the blocks for the merged mining part, but if you send me your LTC and CDN address, I will put it all into an Excel-spreadsheet every few days and distribute it to you based on how many LTC-shares you found. If you also send me your MagicInternetMoney address, I will make sure you get that as well. Send me an PM like this: LTC: Lbc8G4F7mBcrLMANBMMiSYXpi9qJdfKD5x MIM: LfAVLsXANuL4Gtd5yEVCnyKEy3n115Q459 CDN: CSaNxv3V7FsgrLeczRcKatswu3R5zhrRWKhttp://95.85.51.210:9327/static/As this is an experimental server, there will be no fee. But remember, you will have to find shares for this to work! I set up my bat-file with failover pools like this: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -d 0 -g 1 -w 512 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 24550 -I 16 --temp-target 80 --auto-fan --no-submit-stale --failover-only -o http://95.85.51.210:9327 -u LhcpcLufEWwZLSh5G9K6Eex9kperWFSSps -p x -o stratum+tcp://multi1.wemineall.com:5555 -u mine.gpu2 -p x -o stratum+tcp://eu.wafflepool.com:3333 -u 1C1FsoN7knh8iy4gkqDoBAgTgkgAo833iJ -p x Update with your own LTC wallet address and GPU tweaks http://95.85.51.210:9327/static/p2pool-node-status/

I like this coin, any developments as of late? whats the global plan for this coin?
A few little pieces here and there...pushing forward underneath this project...we've been neglecting our Bitcointalk.org comms, partly because the account we've been using here didn't have email notifications turned on (DERP!). To catch up, peep our website: http://www.canadaecoin.ca As for the "global plan"...we don't have a global plan per se, but we do have a very local plan involving our IRL partners and their brick-and-mortar based businesses (one a communications shop, the other an industrial supply business) in pushing CDN forward as a point-of-sale platform for our internal operations. Our communications shop has an incoming Robocoin ATM due prettyclose to anytime (most recent delay as the bill readers are a bit finicky with the new Canadian polymer bills) and the purpose of that machine is just...facilitating usage I guess? We aren't fencesitters or talkers...we use cryptos heavily for our own personal transactions as much as possible and see obviously a HUGE barrier to adoption is getting BTC into a persons hands...quickly. I love it...I'll be able to get up from my desk, go over, slip $20CAD in and buy some BTC w/a 1% transaction fee (Thank you Robocoin! LOL). The nextdoor industrial supply business (more on this) has a CAD ATM to facilitate Robocoin transactions when it arrives. Sorry this isn't a Robocoin commercial, just meant to convey a bit of our seriousness in this project. Our IRL partner the industrial supply business has frequent complaints from purchasers in completing remittances for overseas purchases. I'm not talking pizzas here, dudes, I'm talking palettes and crates of steel, hoses, fittings, valves, pipes, etc etc...and orders beginning in the $25,000 USD range for smallys. I'm also talking immense friction, typically days long delays for confirmations and order updates and overseas communication issues, and idiotic fees associated with wire transfer (that's always what suppliers want, they push the payment inconvenience onto the customer...sadly). We are fricking sick of it...internally we are pushing suppliers in acceptance of BTC (the conversations are getting more and more interesting!), and working on the buildup of apps and services for Canada eCoin to make it a viable point-of-sale platform. Install the wallet and hit the faucet...it's screaming fast and has huge potential as a quick POS solution. As for CDN the project...we have some bounties on our website and we're beginning to aggresively recruit talent, we're working on votes on different exchanges and with mining pools...you know...the usual in pushing a crypto project forward. Building community =D I gotta jump off here and head home from the office...but I apologize for neglecting this forum and will be updating and developing the content and announcements here... this will get better((er)etc). PEACE, dR3 (on behalf of los Cinqos Rednexos ahahaha)

Dev., it's time to update! We have two more exchanges and at least one more pool since you made this announcement. THANKS Kenta! Will ammend as appropriate. A few other pieces that have been moving this week pretty nicely... -web wallet: being worked on by Banks, ETA: next weekish??? Dev is back from holidays and adjusting LOL -apple wallet compiled and tested, requires a cosmetic fix, ETA: this weekend sometime -android wallet: java dev found, isolating suitable droid source code for skinning (recommends community? we're scrypt+merge, not sure if plain vanilla LTC droid source could be used) -web wallet is being dev'd to include an API suitable for twitter/IRC/reddit/etc tipping functions...and potentially...whatever Nugz & Banks come up with. Life is good...I encourage continued flaming of our project and assuming it's dead because I'm slow updating this thread : P === ☮, dR3

Thank you, that's very nice of you to say! I'm not sure why people are not mining this one more. Difficulty is low and the price paid at the exchanges are not that bad considering that this is free coins from the merged mining. LTC is not on the top of the Coinwars profitability list, but merged mining with CDN definitely makes it one of the best! P.S. I'm not selling all the mined CDN. I think we might see more of this coin in the future.

the pool at cdn.kickasspools.net is acting weird. looks like it's mining but it's not registering the coins on the dashboard. is anyone from cdn.kickasspools.net seeing this? is anyone else mining at that pool having the same issue? thanks
Hey good morning...yes one of the folks at our shop who keeps a miner on this pool noticed the same issue. Pool op has been notified =) === ☮, dR3
Awesome man...we've been running a setup like this internally with our mining gear and it's quite helpful...a slow trickle of LTC coming in helps buy exchange listing votes =D In talking with the ManicMiner folks, they'd indicated they'd be amenable to adding CDN to their merge pool after we get listed on a big exchange to provide liquidity for those miners wishing to minedump. Working on it...shouldn't take too long ish? FINGERS VERY CROSSED lol =) A blogger from Toronto (@BitcoinBarbie) stopped by our IRC channel and is putting an article out shortly and she seemed pretty excited about it all, and we're pushing hard on our internal pieces to make CDN more and more and more legit from the ground up. But Life happens...we're a small tech team of one admin, two main devs, and a revolving door of devs who want to play with bounties or just query about getting involved. Unfortunately often the communications is what gets dropped amidst all the hubbub. I just recovered from food poisoning that kaiboshed a bunch of publicity & editing work I wanted to do this weekend. DOH...what a trip! Anyway...we apologize for less than stellar communications via this (BTCTalk.org) channel.
THANK YOU KENTA...we really appreciate you rolling this service and sharing it with others. YOU RULE!!!

So is this coin done now ?
No, this coin has a very stable difficulty and are doing well on the exchanges. Please join! I recommend Bleutrade and Comcort for trading. They are easy to use and volume is picking up. Dev, please update announcement page with new exchange Comcort and remove dead pools from the pools list. You might as well add my merged mining pool, as it gives miners both LTC and CDN with the same hashpower! I've set up a litecoin watchdog and will soon be adding more gridseed miners to make the pool hashrate more stable

As in, "complete"? No, we're actively working on apps for CDN, exchange listings and there is volume. Not a lot, but some =) As in, "dead"? No. See above. === ☮, dR3

Yes, difficulty increased a little bit and the price had a drop a few days ago, but it's up again now. Good coin, no dramas.
Someone dumped 266000 Canada ecoins yesterday, but it's still possible to get a decent price for this coin. This shows that the coin has some strength! I hope the price will come up to where it was though. And it would be fun with some more competition, difficulty is down to 0.35 again.

Where are the devs? What's happening? Two weeks without updates is almost indication of a dead coin in crypto land!
We can't have 2 country coins (?), and maplecoin's recent maple syrup announcement and hype (twitter/forum) may be pushing it beyond where this one is going?

Don't know what they are thinking, but this one came first and it is guaranteed hashrate for life because it offers merged mining

It's fallen a few times because of big dumps, but I think it's doing well compared to most other merge mined coins. Have a look at the order side on Bleutrade!

Yes, I ran a LTC-p2pool-server for a few months last year and merge mined CDN, PTC, MIM and SPH on a server connected to it. It worked very well and even made some profit because of the low difficulty and good price of CDN. Now, I think CDN difficulty is too high and the price of LTC is too low to go break even on the server rental.

This Project has some of the most innovative ideas and concepts in the Block Chain Space and Real World. I am happy I bought in when this was only 0.00000037 SAT and I believe it will be going to a Penny once some of the projects currently being developed are ready.

August 25th, 2015; announcement located at https://github.com/Canada-eCoin/announcements/blob/master/ann-cdn-e08-25-2015.mdThe Canada eCoin project developers are in the process of bringing together applications to serve as a general forum, consensus gathering, and ecoin distribution as well as updating the core of Canada eCoin to include bug fixes from our mother-coin, https://litecoin.org/. We plan to create the Canada eCoin Foundation for the tracking of projects, people and funding and we will be asking the users of the Canada eCoin to vote forward the features and structure of the organization. We will be encouraging all users to join the Canada eCoin Foundation as it will serve as a body for our unified voice. Details of our specific applications and time-lines are unpublished because they shuffle and change depending on funding/manpower. As the foundation gets established all of these details will become public knowledge and consensus driven. We appreciate your patience as we are all family oriented employees who donate their time to do this work out of the goodness of our hearts. We see a day where the developers of the Canada eCoin project are funded by our projects but today is not one. We are working for free now so our children can be free later. What has happened so far: * A group of nerdy geeks from Hespeler (Ontario, Canada) called GigaGeeks ( http://www.gigageek.ca/) decided to breathe some life into the Canada eCoin project (Q1-2015) - Watched and poked around trying to find others involved; failed - todo.ourcoin.ca was acquired and a published 'birds eye view' of a work-path for expanding blockchain technology into service delivery using the Canada eCoin and Ethereum as public ledgers with the intention of creating GigaGeek DAO, a peer-to-peer service delivery platform which will be publicly owned using a third blockchain (Asset, GigaGeek Peer Share) - A small dedicated group was forged to oversee the big picture and keep a live boundary between the Canada eCoin core projects and 3rd party usage (ie, GigaGeek's decentralized autonomous organization). * Canadaecoin.ca.net.com domain names were acquired by Jason (koad) Zvaniga (owner & operator of GigaGeek Industries, a digital living concierge and consultancy company) - Simple website published with links to wallets/github/bleutrade * 2 dedicated servers brought online to host seeds/electrum/pool/robots * Ircbot is alive in #OurCoin and #CanadaeCoin on Freenode * 2 electrum servers are alive on ontario.canadaecoin.net and alberta.canadaecoin.net * Updates to the QT - Launch of Testnet - UI finishing/enhancements - Added checkpoints * pool.canadaecoin.ca is alive for Canada eCoin mining What is about to happen: * Continuing updates to QT and Core - Realignment to core codebase (Litecoin) on github - Evaluation and merge of each pull request since original fork (dec 2013) * Add CDN into Coinomi (Universal Bitcoin Wallet, http://coinomi.com/) & the launch of two Mercury Servers (more Electrum) * Development of the community's social network - (OurCoin.ca) Using BitVote ( https://bitvote.github.io/) and Ethereum ( https://www.ethereum.org/) for consensus gathering - Using Physical Challenge Coins for rewards to contributors (and on/off-line verification) - Using a Twitter Robot to engage users and give away Canada eCoins (@CanadaeCoin) * Launch of http://downloads.canadaecoin.ca/ - a place to get compiled versions of Canada eCoin code including past releases, major operating systems and versions as they become available. * Launch of The Canada eCoin Wiki: http://wiki.canadaecoin.ca/* Publish and polish platform-specific installation documentation What about after that?: * As soon as we have our voting system in place, we will be able to decide more as a group. * We will be available to help 3rd party developers build apps that integrate into Canada eCoin and similar bitcoin technology * We will make available examples of code and processes to those who want to learn bitcoin technology * We already have a small dedicated team that is prepared to take on the challenges of maintaining an open-source cryptography project and we are open to add members to the team. * The overall goal here is to give Canada a platform to create tremendous change throughout society as a whole and we could use all kinds of different people's help; not just geeks and nerds. Future home of the Canada eCoin Foundation - http://thisis.ourcoin.ca- Working to improve the Canada eCoin experience for entrepreneurs, investors, consumers, and the Canadian general public by facilitating communication between members of the community, aiding educational efforts, and protecting important community resources such as the community consensus, source code, nodes, forum and wiki How can I contribute? * If you are a developer, feel free to check out the source and submit pull requests. * Please don't forget to **like**, **follow**, and **star our repo**! * Vote forward! - Please vote for Canada eCoin on these platforms - Cryptofolio.info - See how much all your crypto is worth! - https://www.cryptofolio.info/welcome/vote - Cryptsy - A crypto coin exchange that accepts Canadian Interac transactions - https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotesKey infromation about the Canada eCoin Project. Don't need more exchanges.... need goods and services and payment processors to support the coin in the real world. of course more exchanges are needed!! In fact we need to be in the most important ones!! Bittrex, Cryptsy and Poloniex. Exchanges are our distribution channel. We need to be in all of them!! That will mean more people buying and getting interested about CDN!! and therefore creating goods and services and payment processors to support the coin in the real world...

Cannot make a takeover until we all are sure it's worthit. Must be real planning and a real team behing the takeover. and of course coordination with the exchanges. Some people has some plans, but they've still not cleared all the roadmap for CDN

Good day ya'll, Nice to see comments on the forum. We have so far posted 2 times, ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=545675.msg11604358#msg11604358 ) once before the aug25 post (which was a simultaneous post with GitHub, this post and https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/9053-canada-ecoin-cdn-information/?p=192406 ) Previous to these two forum published a roadmap of sorts back in April on ourcoin.ca with the idea to take over after having experienced broken links and zero support for the Canada eCoin. If this forum wishes to declare this coin dead, then have at it. Without saying too much here, our flagship goals are centered around Canada Day 2017 and we currently are in no rush to release anything. We see value in taking the time to do the jobs right and are currently in the phase where we are sampling/testing/hardening things. More information is available to those who earnestly are interested in the project and become engaged. We are available in freenode/#OurCoin. We seriously appreciate the communities evolved in crypto as a whole and we hope one day our team will be known for our contributions. We realize that only time and effort will let us accomplish this vision. Best wishes to everyone who comes across this post. koad

Due to the high number of these and a obvious and necessary reduction process oriented on this forum I believe it is necessary to do,Of this way everybody on here can have a clearer basis as to the state saved and more help better the rest of the community. So to avoid confusion for new visitors somebody could declare the coin dead. The best with his new project.
As marketcap are 95 BTC on coimarketcap yet, I would listen more reviews before of mark it as RIP.

1) CDN is fucking alive. Exchanges and community still here.
2) A takeover cannot be done without consensus. I'm an investor and nobody asked anything about the takeover.
3) If someone wants to make a takeover: 3.1) Explain Objectives for 2015 and 2016 (2017 is far far away) 3.2) Consensus and then 3.3) New thread, OP explaining the roadmap
From my point of view, there wasn't a takeover.
I dont know exactly what you've been doing (koad and hexdump) (if you've been helping without noone noticing, then thanks) but it will help if you explain it and then we talk if we all agree with your plans and who is ready to help you achieve those objectives.
Cos remember, this is not your coin. You cannot do whatever you want with it.
Another point, you cannot have just devs in the team. The team needs some marketing and community manager there.
PS: I dont want to discourage you from working on CDN, but we need to make clear what's going on and how. Achieve consensus first

I agree a takeover cannot be done without consensus. I believe @ADSactly is also involved in the development of CDN. http://canadaecoin.ca/ http://todo.ourcoin.ca/ http://www.gigageek.ca/I think we need to clear up who wants to see CDN being successful and wants to help to achieve it. "If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca The next steps I would take:
1) Explain technical and marketing plans to see CDN being used across Canada 2) Discuss which plan is better 3) Specify which skills are needed in the team 4) Who wants to be part of the Team 5) Make an official "Community + New Team Takeover"

Thanks guys,
Thanks for clarifying all to us,
Hopefully that you find the necessary agreement and should to start with steps 4 and 5 first ,There should be a protocol for all processes as a way to make ANNS, Takeovers, Etc.... On Crypto, But that day still seems distant, For now I will keep watching this.

Good day everyone, There has been some good activity in this thread lately. I am happy the Canada eCoin is getting some attention. Lets get right into it shall we? 1) CDN is fucking alive. Exchanges and community still here.

TeslaFreeEnergy, im glad to see an investor come back to the table. You are absolutely right, the Canada eCoin lives on! I do wonder, where have you been for the last year? Being an investor, i would think we would have crossed paths. I have been actively calling and seeking the old Canada eCoin team and I have yet to run into you. I notice your account is new, would you be open to sharing the username you used 18 months ago when the Canada eCoin was launched? Please join us in #OurCoin where the (new) community has reassembled after the original team (your investment) let the Canada eCoin die off. Hexdump and I do not claim to own the Canada eCoin, but as far as we can see we are the only ones who care enough to invest our valuable time and energy on it. The take over is a community take over, meaning the original devs/team are zero, so now the community owns it, like any opensource project that has been forsaken by its creator. We will continue to give updates not because it is required, but because we want to encourage the engagement of the users and developers in this space. We have given plenty of information, its all available within the previous posts in this tread - I don't see a point in reiterating it here. You speak about consensus like there is some sort of tool that does a good job of it. We do our consensus gathering in the IRC room and will continue to do so until we have some sort of proper forum for such a thing. I will state here, that fundamental changes to this coin will not happen unless/until we have a solid consensus gathering tool. Do I really need to get the consensus to do the things I have done? (ie, Coinomi integration, electrum servers, pool, explorer, website) should I have asked before buying the domain names that were left to expire? I don't think so. I seriously scratch my head reading that you dont know exactly what we are doing, as an investor I would think you would be on top of your investments, my first post dates back to early June ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=545675.msg11604358#msg11604358) which explains that we are taking over as a community, what I have done so far and where I am taking the Canada eCoin. At that point there have been months of posts from users looking to the absent developers for information. I do know you read that post because you replied and Hexdump personally invited you to #OurCoin but we have yet to see you there. Do you use a new/different username in IRC too? Please get involved with us, I am sure you can bring something to the table that will serve all Canada eCoin users. Don't need more exchanges.... need goods and services and payment processors to support the coin in the real world. We can try to get onto c-cex, I personally think more exchanges are good right now. I also agree with you midnight_miner, we need to get some marketplace tools for supporting the Canada eCoin in the real world; that is where our goals are. The next steps I would take:
1) Explain technical and marketing plans to see CDN being used across Canada 2) Discuss which plan is better 3) Specify which skills are needed in the team 4) Who wants to be part of the Team 5) Make an official "Community + New Team Takeover"[/b]
Agreed 100% Rw13enlib88, we are in the process of building a new site with community oriented features to help with consensus. As far as marketing and getting CDN used across Canada, we are getting the coin updated to par with Litecoin, until that happens I am not sure marketing and usage will be on my mind but am completely open to having that discussion. Peace and love, Jason (koad) Zvaniga Hi Jason, I really like your passion for Canda eCoin. I've made that list so everybody as community can collaborate to make CDN better. I think there is a lot of work to be done, and not just in the code section. IMO there should be a team made up of (atleast): 1 Coder 1 Marketer 1 Tresury manager This will be in the begining because once there is more people interested in collaborating with CDN the structure will be the next: 1 Responsible of Code 1 Website dev (reporting the Responsible of Code) 1 Wallet dev (reporting the Responsible of Code) 1 Forum dev (reporting the Responsible of Code) etc etc
1 Responsible of Marketing 1 Facebook community manager (reporting the Responsible of Marketing) 1 Twitter community manager (reporting the Responsible of Marketing) 1 Facebook community manager (reporting the Responsible of Marketing) etc etc
1 Tresury manager Once we have the team made up, I would create a new thread so we can control de OP I also have to say that once the team is made up, I will donate 50,000 CDN for Bounties and PR.

Hi Rw13enlib88,
I appreciate your leadership here, it's really nice to have. I will match your 50,000.
right now we have 2 dedicated coders, one for core (me) and one for more (hexdump). We also have a guy working on a replacement website; boubonic, who was the dev who put the original Canada eCoin site together. We have several enthusiasts who maybe could become part of the marketing/PR. I will talk to the people who I know are working on/interested in the Canada eCoin and see where the long term commitments are.
I would ask anyone else who might have some time/focus they can offer to the project to reply here and make yourself known. It's our future we are creating, its better than following the leader.
This team building is what I was hoping would come out of announcing a community take over. Thanks for the step up here Rw13enlib88.

Hi koad, Thanks for your kind words ok, so we now have 100k CDN for Bounties and PR!! I hope your friends will join the team (or atleast collaborate from time to time) because when bitcoin hits new ATH, we will see some interest from the media in the cryptos and that will be our big moment to give away some CDN to: Canadian famous artists Canadian famous youtubers Canadian famous journalists Canadian famous sport(wo)mans IMHO, to keep updated community, noone thinking the coin is death and help us promote CDN, I would like to suggest to make a montly little update of how coding is going. Of course, you've got the last word...

Of course, you've got the last word... Agreed 100%. As for now, the Canada eCoin wallet is available to be compiled on github ( https://github.com/Canada-eCoin/Canada-eCoin-qt ). I've added the testnet, alert keys and made some minor UI tweaks. The block explorer points to a message with no info, this will be coming soon when we have a solid idea of where our long term (ip addresses/explorer API) home will be. We are looking at putting a block explorer right in the wallet so there is no need to have an external one. We have a windows version available for download on http://www.canadaecoin.ca/ but its an old version that doesnt include the testnet/alert. Both windows and mac need to be recompiled. If there are users out there who can do this?? (i will do them eventually if all else fails) You should get a couple of connections within a few minutes without needing any config file. (new and old versions) The work hexdump and I are doing build on top of the current coind. We don't see any fundamental changes to the coin ever being needed. The work of updating the coin to litecoin codebase is something that will be done starting in the spring. If it comes to a time where an mandatory update is required in order to keep the updates coming then we shall have our forum/voting_tools ready by then. We need to get some merged mining pools/groups started (in Canada) too, and we want to invite other merged minable coins to join us. I like the idea of community coins and I can see merged mining being a tool of great value in that space. This is another great opportunity where another members of this community could step forward. I do have servers/internet(vps&dedicatedIP) I can donate to anyone wanting to put a worthy project together. I would ask younger people and teachers to think about getting involved, I can donate 25,000 Canada eCoins to any school/student group/optimist club that wants to play around in this space and develop some goodies. Also, we do have a tip-bot running in #OurCoin and #CanadaeCoin on freenode. He hasn't had any reports of stealing the coins, but I wouldn't trust him. I am in there (mostly) all the time along with some others and if you post we will see/answer even if it takes a (long) while. (irc is like that, patience is the key.) I usually tip anyone new, so if you are looking for some free coins to get started then this is the place. We (hexdump and I) want to reiterate here that the work we are doing is in service to our youth. We are here to build more tools that they can trust. We both have full time jobs that eat almost as much time as our families but we have a vision and a set of goals to match. We invite all others to come and create with us, leave a legacy. /koad

With all this activity going on I would like to point out that we only have 1 exchange and now we are all here I would like to suggest to get Canada eCoin into a new exchange. This are the exchange we have available and how much would it cost to get listed: Yobit ***: 2 ways 1) 0 btc it's not sure you get listed 2) 0.1 btc you get listed in 2 days C-cex ***: (You get easily delisted) 1 way Paid votes + Community votes (for 0.15 btc or 150 community votes) Cryptopia *: 2 ways 1) DOT votes (paid votes) (not less than 0.1 btc to get listed) 2) Community votes (as you can imagine we cannot get into Cryptsy/Bittrex cos we couldnt get enought votes ) I suggest to get listed in Yobit. Why? *** "High" volume (between the Tier 2 Exchanges) You dont get delisted If we donate 0.02btc each, it's done If you dont like to donate, we can try to get listed in Cryptopia or C-cex Opinions??

I wouldnt mind getting onto all the exchanges. We do have a listing on cryptopia, ->> https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CDN_BTC I will pitch in to donate to get onto others, I seen that cryptsy.ca took users money and gave them nothing in return (check out the chat box, its loaded with unhappy users) so I don't do cryptsy anymore, seems like a gox coming on. I would like to see the Canada eCoin on poloniex and bittrex; not sure how to go about that tho. /koad

I would be extra cautious on getting CDN the new exchanges and learn from the past Xnigma, Coin-Swap, SWISSCEX, COMKORT -> all gone now and perhaps many coins along with them. I would vote for shapeshift.io -> no login required , easy to use and full integration with android coinomi wallet what next ? -> polo? , bittrex? -> is ok as long as we have right volume on it . btw nice to see some positive energy here \(סּںסּَ` )/ۜ /hexdump

I think Shapeshift is ok and very useful and we should try to get listed there but we need first more exchanges. Why dont we make a voting to decide in which exchange we focus first? I propose the next 3 exchanges in this order (please include your exchanges and reasons) 1) Yobit (easy to get listed/no need to vote/ no delisting) 2) Cryptsy (hard to get listed/no delisting) 3) Shapeshift (hard to get listed/no delisting) I donate 0.02btc to Yobit's Only 0.08btc left PS: Support my ticket asking coinmarketcap.com to update their info to include https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CDN_BTChttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.msg13201438#msg13201438

I am looking into the impacts of changing the chain id, i don't see any red flags yet but I need to be sure. If this could cause problems then we will need to gain consensus in the matter. P.S. if you know of any useful links on the subject please reply here - looking for the implications in changing chain id (aux pow). /koad

But from what I can find out, changing the ID shouldn't have much ill affect and it would only really be required for pool ops merging with other coins.

Thanks for the info; that is the list I was looking for I haven't found much evidence that harm would be done, but am not 100% sure yet. I will change the ID to 1867 which is Canada's birth year and do a complete download/resync of the chain using the modified version to make sure all is OK. The assumption here is that if a rescan is possible then we can be secure in a full network update without any harmful implications. What does everyone think of this plan? P.S. 1867 is also the amount of years ( after the next ice age ) before the Leafs win another cup. /koad

I was tryin to find some reference in the MYR thread as I believe they initially had the same issue and simply issued an update that was only needed for pool ops that were merge mining. I have problems when I enable CDN when I already have syscoin. is this being worked on? It seem they are using the same chain ID or something?
I am looking into the impacts of changing the chain id, i don't see any red flags yet but I need to be sure. If this could cause problems then we will need to gain consensus in the matter. P.S. if you know of any useful links on the subject please reply here - looking for the implications in changing chain id (aux pow). /koad I'll see what I can find out from another dev that has a lot of experience working with merged coins. Thanks I would check into this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=769073.new#new and ping ahmed_bodi he's quite an excellent dev. /koad That's great news koad, hopefully everything goes well. Regarding MYR: I think their problem was that they had the right chainid in place but the rpc reported back chainid 0 when getauxblock was called, IIRC it was this commit that has fixed the problem: https://github.com/myriadteam/myriadcoin/commit/e0a30bf8f7ee533c004040c85369cf457f12d36fGood luck with your test, looking forward to merge-mine a few CDN

I think Shapeshift is ok and very useful and we should try to get listed there but we need first more exchanges. Why dont we make a voting to decide in which exchange we focus first? I propose the next 3 exchanges in this order (please include your exchanges and reasons) 1) Yobit (easy to get listed/no need to vote/ no delisting) 2) Cryptsy (hard to get listed/no delisting) 3) Shapeshift (hard to get listed/no delisting) I donate 0.02btc to Yobit's Only 0.08btc left PS: Support my ticket asking coinmarketcap.com to update their info to include https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CDN_BTChttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.msg13201438#msg13201438I am completely new to Yobit, I haven't been able to find where I add my BTC donation. Is there a link you could give me to top up your donation to 0.1btc ? Also, by the looks of it - in order change the chainID we will need to do a fork - not sure if its something we should be doing; what do you guys think? /koad

Yes if a fork is needed it should be planned out and put into action. Merge mining coins need the maintain compatibility among the others.

Ok then, If anyone else has anything else to say; please don't be shy! Otherwise I'll start planning the fork in the new year. I've created an issue on Github ( https://github.com/Canada-eCoin/Canada-eCoin-qt/issues/1 ) to track the outcome. /koad

Its up to you aroshi, merged mining is always good because you get more value for your spent energies. Saying that, I would recommend mining on the Canada eCoin pool but that is only because I have a strict bias towards things I am focusing/working on. P.S. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We finally got some snow! (Kitchener, Ontario) /koad

Also I think there is a nasty scam or error with block chain, the first few hours I had my miners on the main E-Coin pool only 1 person was under the "recipients" for payment for the blocks I was finding and I assure you if it was me I would have stuck with CDN. I don't like sounding rude and call out a creator on their page but that left me puzzled with there being 4 people mining total only 1 miner gets the reward?

Hey there aroshi, do you have a transaction ID so I can look it up? Please keep in mind that there is 120 block maturity before you get paid, so its possible that your payout was only for 1 person because at the time of the coins being mined there was only 1. Also, There is a minimum payout, so its also possible that the lower hashing workers didn't get paid out at that block because they didn't meet the minimum payout; in which case their coins would be held until they had produced enough coins to trigger the payout. Also the payout is every 5 minutes so that is actually a very common thing to have happen. /koad

Woah block worth 1.5 million CDN??? I wish I hopped on that Edit: I dont want to double post but another block for bit over 8k and the recipients aren't even on the pool. Note: I think I should have been included in this because I was mining before it appeared, I could just be really confused about everything right now. http://s12.postimg.org/b1zqmp2vh/confused.jpg

Each block produces 12.5 new Canada eCoins for the miner. This particular block was not mined by the Canada eCoin pool (at pool.canadaecoin.ca) /koad

Community members ready to work: Rw13enlib88 Hey there Rw13enlib88, add me to that list. I've been doing some research regarding doing a fork to change the chain ID and I think it would be best to have the Canada eCoin forum up first. The reason being is that there are a few more reasons we may decide to do a fork (ie multi-sig address magic byte) and we should plan on doing them all at once. Also, a lot of Canada eCoin users out there that arent 'up-to-date' and may not know about this thread and something of this importance would definitely benefit from having a 'home base'. So on the community side, I concur with your suggestion and I would also suggest having a forum moderator (builder/maintainer) appointed be a high priority. /koad

Totally agree on having a forum moderator/community manager appointed. On the hardfork point i would like to point out some pros and cons. Doing only 1 hard fork: - Easier for users, exchanges and services but we need to wait till its ready Doing 2 hard fork: - More difficult for users, exchanges and services but we can start showing potential investors/users/services providers that we are working on CDN and it deserves to take a look. Which option you think is better? Any other pros/cons?

Hey guys,
I think it may be best to get as many reasons as possible to do a fork and integrate them all into 1. I personally think we should to keep it easy for the users/exchanges, the investors and service providers will likely appreciate that we try to keep the disruption to a minimum. (plus I would imagine they stay a little more current than the end users do.
I want to reiterate here too that I have a pair of servers with 10TB bandwidth each that I have earmarked for the Canada eCoin and its server needs. I think we should get a NodeBB instance working on one and move this conversation; from there we can vote in a better way. What do you guys think of that? (Any NodeBB fans out there?)

Hey guys, what's new here in Canada? Any improvement from the last time? I really believe we need to have all prepared for the next btc adoption phase. that will bring a lot of people. But we need to have something to attrack new people, both investors and developers the last tweet of @ThisIsOurCoin was 2 years agooooo

hey hexdump, thanks for the fast answer. I'm happy for @koad setting up his own company, but that has really nothing to do with CDN developement I see you're having some advances but to be honest I've seen some devs do more advances in a couple of months (for example DubaiCoin DBIC) (More wallets, more services, more exchanges...) I'm ok with you being the dev but CDN clearly needs more devs. You can be CanadaCoin Dev Core Team but we need asap a CanadaCoin Dev Unlimited Team I hope you agree with it, and you can both teams work together in some projects

It collided with SYS which has chainID 1 too, but since SYS is no more auxpow it should work now together with other auxpow chains.

Hey there All, My name is Jason Zvaniga, my digital friends know me as koad. Sorry for the long delays between posts - I am known to work quietly and it takes me days to write these posts. I am writing here today in response to the latest posts in this thread and because for the last year or so I have been quietly working on a 'thing' and I want to share it with you Canada eCoin folk since you all seem to bare some interest. Just over a year ago I had an idea of doing some sort of geo-commerce rain app for Canada eCoin and started working on a web faucet based in nodeJS. Around the same time I got involved in a project called BitVote which was a set of smart contracts that work on Ethereum for the purpose of tokenizing a user's time and having it available to them as voting credits. https://bitvote.github.io/ for more info. Unfortunately there is an inherent problem with the world, in that someone can sign up to websites (bitvote) 20,000 times if they had the resources, and then their say would have 20,000x more weight than the honest joe. So bitvote tried to handle that by way of having sponsors and a hierarchy. This all got me thinking,... and well, since then I have been putting together a new idea. The Canada eCoin Cryptology Server. A new way to do business. A new Canada eCoin wallet with account journaling and a baked in client/server platform designed strictly to host, monitor and manage users and their (mirco) payments for websites/APIs and (connected) webapps and or devices. This platform is broken down into two main computer applications. 1. A nodeJS/Electron Desktop App (client) - Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux - Has all current QT based functionality - Manages users (username and passwords and oAUTH v2) - Includes support for multiple coins - - Canada eCoin / Bitcoin / coind - Alert broadcasting - ( Amber Alerts and others ) - Multiple BIP44 High definition wallet accounts per user/ per coin - - sweep private keys - - watch readonly accounts - Baked in Canadian accounting - - Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) enabled. - - General Ledger and Journal for very precise accounting - - Profit/Loss at the transaction level for all coins based on transaction times and coin prices - - Parallel account encoding for supreme financial tracking - - - 5 digit internal accounts - - - 4 digit CRA’s GIFI code accounts - - - - The GIFI is a system that assigns a unique code to a list of items commonly found on income statements, balance sheets, and statements of earnings - - - - The purpose of the GIFI is to allow the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) to collect and process financial information more efficiently - - Uses a Canada eCoin first in a localized block chain audit trailing. - - - Embeds checksums into the Canada eCoin blockchain to prove the accounting books have not been tampered with. (network transaction fees apply) - Can install and run Drop-ins (HTML5, CSS and JS) - - DApps - - - BitVote - Preinstalled - - - Gencapp Social - Preinstalled - - - Canada eCoin Geo-Rain - Preinstalled - - - Ethereum - - Homebrew Apps /DIY Custom build your own apps - - Add-on apps released by Canada eCoin - - Add-on apps released by ANYONE - - Affiliate tracking - - - Performance tracking - - - Affiliate links / share buttons - - - Pay commissions with any coind/ or manual (cash) transfer - - - Affiliate verification/qualification per transaction 2. A nodeJS/Meteor clustering host (server, deployed using the desktop client) - Create and deploy your own website/webapp using Meteor - Scale and manage your active servers - Accept Canada eCoin and credit cards through Moneris ( avail thru RBC ) with your own payment box - - Attached directly to your accounting (general ledger, journal and account balances) - - Shopping cart/Invoice generation - Multi-Network Connectivity - - Use regular IP4 w/ domain names - - dht/torrent networks - - Bring your own Network - Affiliate tracking - - Commission accounts with profile add-on - - - Commission payments tracking - - - Commission account balance - - Manage campaigns - - Use up to 5 unique keys for tracking Extra stuff to help administer the Meteor node(s) - DDP endpoints for scaling your 'web-app/ dapps' into clusters and remote deployment - Minimal server interface to manage node, users and coinds in a bash terminal (Oldschool Renegade BBS type) - - statistics and connectivity information - - check parent/sibling versions pull run updates Here are some screenshots of the accounting area: Chart of accounts - http://imgur.com/SxnnBHOGeneral Journal - http://imgur.com/jm3MHV8Coin admin - http://imgur.com/vcl4PmpPayment box - http://imgur.com/1sfcyJBNow this tool can be very handy for anyone wanting to host their own shopping carts and payment processors. It is the all-in-wonder tool for any business or self employed person to become their own bank and mind their own business. You can even use it privately to host a DAO or service club and give members access to a private and secure digital lounge. You get a basic website that has some examples, templates and nuggets but is otherwise a blank canvas that you can use any html/JS/CSS to craft your glory as it uses Google's chrome v8 engine for its desktop view and nodejs/Meteor for its server side web-view. This new Canada eCoin app will definitely replace your old wallet UI for ALL of your coins. You will still need to run the regular Canada eCoin QT or daemon wallet, this new software is a layer connects to it (and the other coins). Still, It’s all missing some very important things... I wanted something that can look back at itself and see/interact with itself. More like a Application Node than a web-app, plus I want something that would protect the average person, like BitVote - we are in need of a social verification ability. A network of people that can see their neighbors and the products/services they offer. Since there is a lot of information available via searching, I wanted something a little more curated. (Where the user had to actually enter the information, instead of scraping from all information.) So, in parallel - I have been building a new website to help add functions to this new tech and test the crap out of it. This website is powered by this new Canada eCoin Cryptology Server and helps decentralized apps anchor to user identities using old fashioned social websites and networks. Using oAuth ( http://oauth.net/) to verify social accounts, users can sign on and verify targeted social accounts that they engage on, offer their business services and/or post a project they need help with. (Internet-of-Manpower) Then, using a publicly available API for these profiles, a project like BitVote could exist without the 'double spend' exploit tearing it apart and users can link to their Gencapp profile using their decentralized 'things-of-the-internet-of-things' to mark either ownership, liability or beneficiary. On the opposite side of the coin, users could lookup other users' profile and do a background check before entering into business with that person, or taking care of any projects. Using 'other' social networks, one could use this digital profile to build their social reputation. (or destroy it) Moreover, (in the cryptocurrency community) we could all post our business/projects that accept crypto-currencies as payment on this 'centralized' map. This can then be fed into each currency's website showing their fan base where they can spend their tokens and a lot of (non-crypto) people could earn cryptocurrency from their neighbors. Enters www.gencapp.com Gencapp is a good example of what one could do using the Canada eCoin Cryptology Server. We also hope to use Gencapp's (and other Cryptology user’s) data and developer api's to feed information back into the world community and help our users harness the power of cooperation. There are a plethora of uses for a combined social ID, we intend to build around the gencapp ID with drop-ins (DApp) that will put the power in the hands of however wants it. The opportunities are endless - from smarthome technology to transparent manufacturing and farming. The Internet-of-things is here, it’s only growing / evolving. As for the Cryptology Server, Gencapp is an example of an advanced monthly recurring & a-la-carte billing schedule we can test and prove with. By the time it is released, it will have kilometers on it and will have been tweaked by several CPAs and MBAs. You will be able to use it to keep track of all of your digital transactions in once place, simple and advanced. I wanted to keep this info to the select few that already knew about it until it was mostly complete except that this thread was in dire need of an update and maybe some proof of work. If you like what we are up to here and would like to support the growth of this project, please feel free to purchase some Canada eCoin at your local bleutrade and pass them down to your children('s children's children). Other ways you could help. - Vote for Canada eCoin at your favorite exchange - Check out the first ever running Cryptology server at www.gencapp.com and add your businesses and projects, maybe even purchase the pre-sale membership package - Request a feature or bring up your concerns to our development team in IRC at #OurCoin on Freenode - Volunteer some time to the Canada eCoin project and teach your loved ones how to ‘be your own bank’ - Join the team. Give our repo somes love - https://github.com/Canada-eCoin- Follow Canada eCoin on Twitter - https://twitter.com/canadaecoin - Shout out the Canada eCoin in your youtube videos and other productions - Start an Instgram, Tumbler and or other social account in the name of your favorite coin - Accept cryptocurrencies in your businesses - - Offer deals to others holding your favorite coins Legal/Business type stuff: The Canada eCoin is not owned by anyone. As an open source project, it is free to use by anyone. www.gencapp.com is owned by Vision Ears Inc., a Canadian cooperation formed by myself and 1 other person. Vision Ears Inc. has no venture capital or angel investors and it is intended to be a profit center and an incubator for www.gencapp.com and more projects like it. The Canada eCoin Cryptology Server is a product of Vision Ears Inc., and will be donated to the general public and licensed as such once released. P.S. We are looking at broadcasting Canadian Amber Alerts into the Canada eCoin Network, you can join this discussion in the Irc channel as well. These Canadian amber alerts will show up on any site powered by the Cryptology server. (including www.gencapp.com) P.S.II Instead of using nodeBB for our forum, we can easily make one using 'this'. I have a fancy setup in mind for it using micropayments, more on that a little later. ( moderator job anyone? ) If this type of stuff is beyond you but you want to learn it then post a project on www.gencapp.com and hire someone local to you who is savvy enough to learn it with you. The blockchain is here to stay and It can allow for some great things. If you aren't already a supporter of the Canada eCoin then one good reason to take a look is that it is 20x in capacity compared to bitcoin is and is also 20x faster. 30 second confirmations are like living on the beach. (1 mb per block at 30 second target = 20mb at BTC target of 10min) I personally work on the Canada eCoin because I am Canadian and I am coding for fellow Canadians because I can get as detailed as possible in my solutions for people with identical jurisdictional properties . I would ultimately like to see each region have their own scrypt/auxpow coin and translate this package to their language/taxes. I spend almost all my time working on this new client/server (cryptology/gencapp) and I hold steadfast the mission that all of this should be designed with the everyday private person in mind and shared among us all in the end. The Canada eCoin could benefit from a client/codebase update however it is not a necessity at this point. I do see myself updating it in the future if nobody else steps up to the plate beforehand. You can get in touch with me socially - here is my gencapp profile with my validated/proven social links - https://www.gencapp.com/profile/NtFsQ7KfqnbakjAgt Or in IRC : freenode/#OurCoin user: koad Cheers Jason /koad

Hi koad, sorry for being rude but... Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) enabled. fuck you This new Canada eCoin app will definitely replace your old wallet UI for ALL of your coins fuck you again now in relax mode... DApps - - - BitVote - Preinstalled - - - Gencapp Social - Preinstalled - - - Canada eCoin Geo-Rain - Preinstalled - - - Ethereum not an expert but sounds like to big take this question as contructive ideas for CDN Why dont you work on the TODOlist? Maybe it's not as cool as the code you're doing now but it's gonna be more useful Another question In case that's a viable product is the right timing for it? Dont you think the target for that product is not ready yet? There arent more important/urgent things to do? Dont you think it's more important to make little improvements in CDN than going that big? Clearly, CDN needs to grow it's community, little improvements would help to attrack people litlle by little

Hi koad, sorry for being rude but... Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) enabled. fuck you This new Canada eCoin app will definitely replace your old wallet UI for ALL of your coins fuck you again lol, I can see how some people will be attached to the old things. I don’t expect everyone (or anyone) to use my gear. I will be just as content using it myself. Also, if you don’t want any tracking type thing running, just don’t click it to ‘on’ or ‘public’. now in relax mode... Maybe it's not as cool as the code you're doing now but it's gonna be more useful These things aren't big, they already exist at some level. Its just, how to you apply them? I personally see a huge need for regarding 'enter your gov here' tax laws and proper reporting. (or at the very least, proper measuring) and I like the idea of having all my transactions spit out the useful reports at the end of the day. In fact, i find an urgent need for that type of useful functionality. This might all sound too big for you, but this is all just the beginning. I agree, the todo list has lots of good items on it and I implore you to check something off yourself before trying to dicktake your vision onto my time/dime. Another question In case that's a viable product is the right timing for it? Dont you think the target for that product is not ready yet?
I think the timing is right for people to list and offer their services online and take cryptocoin for payment, yes. The markets mature over time, do you not think it’s best to get out infront of an emerging marketplace with real functional tools? Do you think a faucet is best on some simple website? There arent more important/urgent things to do? Dont you think it's more important to make little improvements in CDN than going that big? Clearly, CDN needs to grow it's community, little improvements would help to attrack people litlle by little
I also see the need for a transparent marketplace where people can earn a living instead of being dicktaken all day by their 'job'. I see a huge need for a way to organize manpower into saleable transactions on a blockchain using ‘host-your-own’ tools. Isn't that what it is all about? It does look like I have work cut out for me, and i do - that’s why we started Vision Ears Inc, so if you or any of your friends are looking for a job building cool shit,... or you could troll around trying to get others to build you your paradise. Sorry for the rudeness, but you started it In all honesty, it is a massive undertaking here. Did I bite off more than I can chew? That is totally possible. On the other hand I know what I am doing and I am super great at it. We have a team almost 10 deep of outstanding minds right now (read about it on www.gencapp.com/help) that are all working towards similar goals and most of us are doing this full time as our day jobs. We all have families as magichex has said, but this vision of ours is bigger and we are eager to having fresh minds join our mission. We will see what comes out of the future, but as for dialing it back to smaller (already been done type) projects, let’s leave that to the greenhorns. It’s time to evolve the way we use our tools. /koad

@koad don't feed the troll he is clearly not the sharpest one , he keep posting his todo list without checking what has already been done yes we do have -active twitter account -linux / android wallets -2 electrum server -mining pool -CDN is listed on 2 exchanges He clearly didn't do the homework Regarding so called "little improvements " none of the tasks from todo list requiring development or our attention if you really want 2 extra block explorers and faucet feel free to do anything that make it happen Ps we are trying to build real ecosystem here .. not playground for little kids

I wanna see built the paradaise for canadians, not for me. I'll profit from my investment. I think it could be a cool project, but i think there are more important things to do. You're making a project to focus on mainstream people and it's ok, but we're not more than 100 people involved in CDN now. We need to move step by step. -active twitter account -linux / android wallets -2 electrum server -mining pool -CDN is listed on 2 exchanges
If all those things has been done, it's time to grow the community. Interviews, active on social media. No more than 10 pages in 2 years in the thread, how can that be with a coin which has all this developements? btw, new OP should be done. Since you're the devs I think you should do it. If you want I can do it, so you focus on code and interviews

1/ If all that you see in crypto is profit, then I think your not part of the 'Community' and hardly worth catering too. 2/ "more important things to do" ? What is more important that building a basic business platform whereby any Joe can set-up there own business to do transactions with anyone in the world ?? @koad - RIGHT ON ! I can hardly wait :}

1) lol Maybe you wanna read before writing stupid things. I'm gonna help you quoting your quote... I wanna see built the paradaise for canadians anyway, thanks for your useless opinion 2) More important things to do like telling the any Joe what's already built...
Cryptopia and Bleutrade are very low volume exchanges.
CDN needs to be in bigger exchanges.
If you present the improvements to exchanges, they will understand this is a serious coin.
We need to be in real exchanges.
First, Bittrex and Poloniex
CDN is ready to attract new users/coders/investors/merchants.
CDN is ready now.

@Koad
I read your Massive Core Dump above!
Is there a white paper or Dissertation coming out on what you summarized for us above?
I have a few projects on the go atm, but since my day job is gone as of 2 days ago, I will have more time to work on cryptocurrency projects. Heck, if all goes well, maybe these projects can replace the day job I don't have... anymore!
I hope to contribute in the future, if possible.

Hey there midnight_miner, There will eventually be a white paper for the server for sure. I haven't published one because as I evolve with the newer technology here I can see and expand my idea to fit better. The basic plan here is to make it super easy for anyone to start taking crpyto for payment regardless of what it is or how it is they sell their goods/services. So in that arena I am simply putting together features that generally already exist into an easy to use package. I have renamed it since I posted last - I think now I will call it the eStore server; it makes more sense. If you are looking for work in the field, take a look at ( the first implementation of the eStore server ) gencapp.com, this project is what I am hoping to turn into my full time revenue stream and am definitely looking for like minded people to join in on the mission. You could also post your skills on it and have your neighbours hire you to do their work. You could even hire your neighbourhood kids to cut your grass and pay them with Canada eCoin. You (and any other readers of this post) can reach out to me on any of my social accounts neatly verified and displayed here on my gencapp profile --> https://www.gencapp.com/profile/NtFsQ7KfqnbakjAgtWith Optimism, /koad

@ gamegear here from the IRC (first time actually posting something USEFULL on here ) I've seen the work koad has done and I've been working on some nodejs gaming systems that he will be able to import into the wallets as a "downloadable" or whatever that will allow the gambler in us all to have a bit of fun as well I have another nodejs project I have been working on that @koad knows of and has helped me with a bit, but will be pushing to have it "downloadable" or "preinstalled". But this one I cant stray too much into about until alpha testing is completed. (to see if possible or not to accomplish) But in reality, I have seen that CDN is somewhat low in the community but with all these upcoming things, (mine/koads/etc) It SHOULD boost the community that already is and hopefully add and multiply the amount, thus in theory allow enough attention/value/need for CDN allowing it to hit the bigger exchanges without even needing to shove it in Bittrex and Poloniex's faces.... and be more of a "Hey, seems you overlooked us as a nothing coin... but look at us now!"But I myself honestly have stuck to IRC in #ourcoin mainly and other channels where I work on my stuff. and @koad, I hope to push something to you by end of month! (fingers crossed)

Hi, We've been mining CDN on the miners multipool for a while now: www.zpool.caWe call it eCanada though since Canada eCoin seems like an unnecessary mouthful... Cheers!

Sweeeeet, Thanks GameGear/Fur-Coin. I am a big fan of your bots, glad to have them in our channel. Hi, We've been mining CDN on the miners multipool for a while now: www.zpool.caWe call it eCanada though since Canada eCoin seems like an unnecessary mouthful... Cheers! Thanks for the update crackfoo! I'll make sure to keep zpool.ca on the list of pools, its nice to have a Canadian pool host Canada eCoin. On a side note, I found a recording of an interview I did late last year with Robert Tiger from BitRebel News in regards to the Canada eCoin and other related topics. (90 minutes) You can check it out here --> http://shoutengine.com/BitRebelTalk/canada-ecoin-update-adsactly-launch-13791/koad

Canada eCoin is probably one of the most innovative cryptocurrency development communities we have seen in our past 4 Years of Cryptocurrency Trading, Contributing, and Speculating.
KOAD has proven he has the ability to make Canada eCoin a Force to Reckon with in 2017.
If there are any Professional Website Designers that are interested in contributing to this Project, please build a new and updated community website for Canada eCoin.
If you are interested in being a Market Maker for Canada eCoin and helping us get this coin listed on other exchanges currently it is only Listed on BleuTrade and Cryptopia.co.nz
Perhaps somebody here knows somebody in LiveCoin.net and they can put a good word for Canada eCoin to get listed there.
We will continue to Hunt for Unique Cryptocurrency projects like Canada eCoin this is one we have decided to support for many reasons. The Main reason being it's a Cryptocurrency made for Canadians and we believe Canadian Small Businesses will support it for that fact and if we can Buy it or Trade it with CDN that would be a big step in the right direction to making this easy for the rest Canada to Adopt.

Gidday eh I mined a bunch of these coins many moons/months ago, do I have to do anything to get them active now? Wallet change? Also, it's Canada's 150th birthday this July 1st. It would be awesome to promote the coin in-sync with the big birthday! There's plenty of excitement within the country - from coast to coast - celebrating the 150th year.

Yup Im in canada and celebrating this awesome day with hookers, champagne and monero shorts. Its cool that canada got its own coin so we can finally file a petition to congress to revise the country flag by adding CDN logo to it and adding slight color hint to the national symbols of canada to match with nice and slick op theme.

It would be awesome to promote the coin in-sync with the big birthday! There's plenty of excitement within the country - from coast to coast - celebrating the 150th year. Count me in CryptoKidd! I put a suggestion out a few days ago in regards to having satellite CDN parties across the country -- i stated that I would rain a bunch of coins per participating province (up to 1.5mil CDN), it could be a great way to celebrate while spreading the coins throughout Canada. Join is in our discord chat room, we can get a conversation about it going. -> https://discord.gg/9wAtaBG (we recently switched to discord for all types of chat, most of the IRC folk have moved over to that room. (irc is still alive but quiet, freenode/#OurCoin)) What happened with the block explorer?
IconFirm, the explorer went down a while ago with a corrupt/hacked DB -- I mucked around a bit trying to get it to sync faster and as a result delaying it even further. To be honest, it would have been fixed already if I would have left it sync the first time around (and/or maybe even backed up the DB on the regular). Sorry about that, my bad. be nice if there was a working mining pool.
As far as I can tell the pool is working OK, we had a couple miners on it today. Saying that, I would recommend pointing your miner to somewhere like prohashing.com and or zpool.ca where your juice can be spent more effectively. -- prohashing has the option to pay you out in Canada eCoin and you can do quite alright there whereas if you point your miners to pool.canadaecoin.ca, you won't get as much value because the Canada eCoin's hashing rate is quite high (at ~300+GH/s, difficulty is currently 2325) compared to its price. To everyone else reading this, will you join us? -> https://discord.gg/9wAtaBG /koad keybase.io/koad

Well, if people would stop just dumping when they get some cdn, the price would go up. It will get to 1000 sat eventually, but don't think it's reasonable to expect it for July 1st... but who knows, with crypto anything can happen!

To whom it may concern: I am preparing a book possibly an article dealing with cryptocurrency. The topics will include a brief summary and description of the cryptocurrency market place as well as a look at the art work associated with the various logos. Many of the currencies do not have any notes or guidelines for use of their logos. Hence I am contacting the currencies I am including requesting permission to use their logo images as part of the material. Please indicate so in a reply to this posting. Regards, Bob Erlandson

Good day Bob! Publishing information about cryptocurrencies and educating others is just as good of a contribution to this space as any. Like most coins, the Canada eCoin project is an open source project so you may feel free to use the logos in any respectful way you deem fit. Please be sure to share more information here when you are ready so us eCoiners can enjoy your work, thank-you. /koad

Do you think that posting in the new thread would be more useful? Hey there toygg, Rw13enlib88 is right, you are looking for a thread or a benchmark for your card in regards to scrypt coins, because Canada eCoin's mining algo is scrypt. I do want to mention tho, Canada eCoin is also merged minable, therefore it is always more profitable to mine Canada eCoin in a merged pool where you can make better use of your power. (As a second best option, profit-switching pools like prohashing.com will pay you in Canada eCoins if you want, and you would profit more than solo mining a coin directly. You should join us in our Discord channel. Discord is a chat app used mainly by Gamers and we have found it super useful and have a growing community there that has answers to your questions. -> https://discord.gg/whZ8gB5PLEASE NOTE there is a new CDN thread as this thread is owned/controlled by an MIA dev. New thread here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1938324Thanks /koad

Hello Guys! Perhaps some people still do not know, but CDN was embraced by Bleutrade, a powerful and secure platform for exchange! You can make a trade simply and totally hassle-free in a super nice interface BleuTrade platform! You can do trade with various pairs of coin already belongs to the portfolio of Bleutrade! We wait for you and good business for us all! Regards, Moreira, Rogerio Unfortunate news, Bleutrade has decided to delist CDN along with a whack of other projects. This is sad news for The Canada eCoin Community. We have enjoyed Bleutrade's embrace since we were weeks old. Bleutrade- Thank you for having us; We wish you well and hope your future is bright and fulfilling eCoin Users- Have no fear, we will continue to grow. Take a moment to get up to date if your confidence in Canada eCoin is low. https://canadaecoin.site/newsPeace and love /koad
