Antony being bought for 80+ million was the shocking part, like who thought that would be a good idea? Anyone who watched him play, even on his ajax years, would know that dude is just a clown and that is why he didn't look like he was a serious player who can do fine at premier league.

I can agree on one thing there, signing him for 95 million euros was nonsense. That was showing clearly how incapable the previous owners were with managing the budget.  

As for Antony's performance at Ajax, I wouldn't completely agree honestly. There were really time periods he showed impressive performances. I thought Erik ten Hag would handle him nicely at Manchester United too but it didn't happen.

Now, they can't sell him for 50, they can't even sell him for half of what they paid for him, what are they going to do? Even if they loan him out, and get some other team pay his salary, that still doesn't change the fact that they lost 85+ on him, and that means that INEOS taking over is a blessing for them, at least they are not making stupid moves like that anymore and fixing the situation.

He is valued only €25m in the market now which is quite fair after having a terrible time at Manchester United. They should get rid of him immediately. He makes £10.4m a year which is like a joke.

Arteta does not want to waste the opportunity he has because Arsenal know that friendly matches like this must be maximized as well as possible to find talents that can be used for their performance next season.

Pre-season matches give young players the opportunity the opportunity to show their talents, so I don’t really take pre-season matches seriously, and most coaches do make use of young players just to see their performance and to know which ones might be useful when the season starts. And some coaches do use pre-season matches to try different strategies and see which one’s better, so pre-season matches are not something to be taken serious, and that’s why most people don’t really care about them.
 
I don’t really enjoy pre-season matches, and I don’t really give it much attention, I can’t just wait for the season to start, just to see how each player will be performing. Everyone will be making use of their main squad, and I'm sure it’s going to be another competitive season.

Our team has been built under Mikel Arteta to face a lot of challenges, and Manchester City became the great obstacle for us after we have developed a well competitive squad that has defeated almost all the Premier League top teams with exception of Manchester City, but last season, we are able to defeat Manchester City at home and take a point against them at Etihad stadium which is a good sign that we are well ready for the title challenge.

Arsenal should have won the Premier League title last season, but little mistake cost us the league which gave an experienced Manchester City chance over us to win the title with just two points ahead of us Arsenal.

Next coming season is another season to watch out, we are going to defeat almost all teams because we will be all prepared for the title and will try to correct all the mistakes we made last season because it is time to win titles for a well built squad. Nevertheless, we need a reliable striker to be able to achieve all these.

It is impossible to dominate the English Premier league if a club does not have hills amount of money. That’s the first thing a club needs to have. Because with Money, a squad can be built and a good coach can be brought in. And all the other things can also be handled. But just having a good coach is not enough especially in the English Premier league right now.

The next season should be more competitive compared to the last. I hope Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham all of them will be able to compete for the title. I wish Chelsea actually did not change the coach towards the end of the last season. Because Chelsea was bringing in good results Towards the end. I also hope that Arsenal will be able to be consistent towards the end as well.

Most of the time that's true, but we need to remember Leicester as well, it is not a "must". If you are in premier league, the "hills amount of money" is not really unlikely, you are getting paid tens of millions of dollars just to be in that league, nothing more, and with parachute payments and all that, a team could build their club quite strong over course of time as well, just need to learn to spend that money wisely.

I mean I take a look at some of these teams, and I see them not spending their money wisely at all, and some of them earned a lot of money whereas did not spend it, I have no clue where that money went to, if a team made 70 million on transfer selling and only used 15 million to buy, you wonder what happened the rest of it. In the end, I think it is quite obvious that any team could win premier league, it all depends on building a club for that reason, most clubs just want to exist, they do not want that risk, because if you go for it, then you are going to grow bigger than a normal owner could afford, and may even have to sell some parts of the shares, which not a lot of people accept. You see City and Liverpool and Arsenal, but they are basically sold in pieces to become that good.

I think this is exactly what people need to know about Arsenal failure every season, but it is not a enough reason, but to me, I can also include it if I want to mention a reason that stops Arsenal from getting the EPL title. Manchester City are one of the obstacles that, up until now, Arsenal are still finding a big deal to overcome, and seriously, Manchester City are very strong and also the best team in the EPL right now.

If not, Arsenal have the full squad to get the title, but winning luck is not always coming their way, especially when they meet with Manchester City. I hope to see Arsenal win the EPL title one day, though I think that is our main aim now as fans. We need it.

Donny van de Beek must be one of the biggest regrets for Manchester United by the way. Because they signed him for 39 million euros in 2020 but they sold him this month for only 500 thousand euros... 

What a crazy price!!!. Manchester United is slowly copying Barcelona. They buy a player at a silly price, then sell him for pennies. It also saddens me how Ten Hag has ruined Van de Beek's career in Manchester United. It's also disappointed me how Ten Hag could not turn him around.

I thought he was a good buy at the time. Then, I spent two years expecting him to finally kick off at Manchester United. After that, I was surprised for two years. It was every time I read something about his existence at the club. It's bad to see how Van de Beek ended his career at United in such a dramatic way like this.

But, it's not that bad considering he is now moving to Girona. And five hundred thousand euros is a bargain price for Girona. In the end, this shows how Donny is simply not Manchester United quality.

For me since Arsenal doesn't have any need in getting new ones they should as well keep there already existing players intact because if they make any wrong decision it will seriously affect there team work on this coming season, and besides there fans has a great expectation from them on this upcoming season so perhaps it will be very sad if they cannot perform more than or the way they did on this season. For sure Arsenal is having some challenges on their defense so if they allow William Saliba to leave the club without having a good replacement Arsenal defense will not be stable, however I wonder why real Madrid will decide to sign him since they already have more quality defenders.

Indeed. If Arsenal has no interest to sign many players, they must keep their current players. However, Arsenal is still rumored to target some players even if they are unlikely to sign many players. Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Merino, Gyokeres, and Nico Williams become the target of Arsenal to strengthen their squad. But for Nico Williams, he seems to choose Barcelona. Well, Arteta actually targets good players but I am not sure of Arsenal has enough money to sign those players. Unless they sold Saliba to Real Madrid, I am not sure Arteta can sign those players. I have actually noticed that from Gabriel Jesus because his performance is no longer the same as before and one thing that has been disturbing him is injury and considering the fact that strikers are mostly the heart of every team Arteta should be advised to make a good decision about that either to sign someone that can work better on the absence of Gabriel Jesus or he figure out a player within the club.

Yes, Gabriel Jesus's performance is decreasing a lot after he got injury for a long time. That's why Arsenal wants to sign Gyokeres, he can replace the position of Gabriel Jesus as the main striker. I think Kai Havertz is not a proper player to put on the striker position. Gyokeres is the right solution if Arsenal really succeeds to sign him. However, I don't know how big the chance to sign Gyokeres.

I feel Manchester City is just Arsenal's nightmare if not Arsenal would have won the premier league before now but will Pep Guardiola's men still give them the opportunity to win the premier league this new season? I just have this feelings that until Guardiola leaves Manchester City it will be difficult for Arsenal to win the premier league. Arsenal always takes their pre season games seriously in most seasons so am not surprised about their impressive display but what matters is real matches and not about friendly games. If they must win the title this new season, they need to work extra hard and stop this mentality of stopping half way when they are almost about to get a good gap in the league table. Next season the situation will definitely be the same as the last 2 seasons where Arsenal will try hard to stop Manchester City but again must fail because the club coached by Pep Guardiola is still very strong in the Premier League especially with a perfect squad, last season Manchester City was a little unbalanced at the beginning of the season because their squad was incomplete Kevin De Bruyne was injured for quite a long time even though this player is an important factor for the club to help his teammates in creating opportunities.

Well later Man City will certainly play with a complete squad from the beginning of the season so Arsenal will not easily beat Manchester City in the hunt for the EPL title unless Arsenal performs consistently without experiencing many defeats.

This season is the time for Arsenal to win trophies and all the players must give their all for the victory.
And a big test awaits in pre-season against United in the SoFi Stadium, It's a nice kickaround for Arsenal before they face Liverpool.

Gunners remains my favorite to win the Premier League Competition this season anyways, and you have to know that nothing good comes easy. Mikel Arteta no doubts has been solid for Arsenal. Had a rough and bumpy ride to this point during his first seasons in charge of Arsenal, but everything seems to add up gradually during his second and third as he has both been leapfrogged by Manchester City.

They had the ball around them in the spot kick, but they had a terrible kick which went wide last season. Much improvement and additions has not been seen. They need a goalscorer, a machine who can guarantee them 25 premier league competition goals and if they can do that, then peng. Right now I'm just being hopefull for them, but they would also need to sell Thomas Partey to get Fabian Ruiz.
If that works, then, they can boast of winning the Premier League Competition, since they have successfully cleared up the signatures expected for Calafiori from Bologna.

What stopped them last season was decision making from Mikel Arteta against Aston Villa and what else should I add to this statement?They did incredibly great but, t's what t's!

I don't understand this deal at all. Fulham is really serious to pay 41 million euros for Smith Rowe?    I mean he is still young (23). However he hasn't played properly for two years. Doesn't this make them nervous?

Arteta didn't give him much chance in the time period I mentioned because of the arrival of Odegaard and Havertz of course. Otherwise I think he could have still played more than these statistics.



Considering his market value has dropped to 22 million euros in the meantime, it would be a spectacular sale for Arsenal taking the current offer into account.    I hope he can improve his performance at Fulham too.

I am intrigued by the performance the Arsenal guys put out there. They have shown their readiness this season for using their second 11 today. The performance of the squad was fairly penetrating and it showed a strong squad depth. I also liked their level of composure in managing the opponents to the end.

This is what we're talking about Arteta, he was good enough to test the second 11 comfortably and watch over their individual player performances. I will also encourage him to practice this more often to be able to pick stronger players that can substitute the first eleven players in bigger matches.

arteta fielded his second line in the first pre-season match he played, so far it's been good enough to test the young players and clearly many of the young players who were fielded have quite a lot of potential for the long term, they showed good performance on the field, yes the calmness that was displayed made us interested in the first match that arsenal played, and again the performance shown by the arsenal goalkeeper, I think arsenal has a good young goalkeeper.

Thus, it seems like it would be better for Manchester United not to involve Erik ten Hag in plans to buy and sell players in this transfer market. Because after all, if Erik ten Hag is still fully involved in choosing the players who are bought and sold, then I think mistakes will still occur which will certainly be detrimental to the team.

The manager should always be involved with buying and selling of players as he's the only one that knows the players he can get the best out of them in the season and those that are not going to be useful to him. Giving managers your own players will not make it possible for him to be capable of coaching the team very well. The manager will always have players that he believes he can work with very well as they'll be listening to him and oykay for him therefore those are the players that he should be using to play almost every game and get the best result for the team. The board should allow the manager and not get involved.

Many have greater expectations for Arsenal because they have a pretty good performance in the last 2 seasons so it is quite natural that many people expect them to be a competitor for Manchester City in the coming season with their previous statistics which are quite good.

I also expect the same thing because honestly I am too bored to see Manchester City always become champions in the last few seasons even in the last 7 seasons that I have seen Manchester City only once displaced by Liverpool in the race for the trophy the rest they can always get a victory which is clearly disturbing even though it cannot be denied that the competition and the game in the EPL are still very good but still when the champions are only in the same club it seems a little boring to me.

But on the other hand we also can't expect too much because however with the conditions and problems that Arsenal have always faced in recent seasons we can definitely see that in the end their mental problems may have been good but not better than Manchester City until now.

I agree with that totally.    A coach should definitely play a role in transfers made. But some big and rich teams don't allow their coaches be a big part of it I'm afraid. I think it is wrong as the coach will handle those players later.

Earlier in the Premier League competition, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and some other teams were competing hard, but now the competition has become such that Manchester City is number one in the list of favorites and Arsenal is in second position. We have been seeing this for the past three seasons. 

Although Liverpool showed some promise last season, they ultimately failed to maintain their consistency. Manchester City has won the Premier League title in the last two matches but other teams have not been able to stop Manchester City from winning the title only Arsenal have competed with Manchester City in the last season. This season will be no exception as Manchester City favorites this season also do not see any other team who can beat Manchester City to win the Premier League title. That is, if there is a competition this season, then the competition will be between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Lindelof was brought to Old Trafford many years ago but they will need to think of why they signed with Maguire, Eriksen, Casemiro and Antony. Casemiro was old when he was purchased by Manchester United two seasons ago. Maguire is not a too good central defender, Eriksen was old too. Antony is not a too good attacking player but Manchester United spent very big money to get him from Ajax Amsterdam.

Sancho case is acceptable because he played impressively in Dortmund and in one season, he came very near to stats of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The transfer from Dortmund to Manchester United destroys his career and I feel very unexplainable why Sancho failed in Old Trafford.

From now on, this team will really need to be more careful with their signings. Like I said, for now INEOS is doing a good job. Ugarte was on their radar but still not progress as far as I can see. PSG is about to make Joao Neves deal official soon. I think it should be easier to agree with PSG on Ugarte signing after that but let's see. I'm curious who else is going to leave the Red Devils this summer too. There are candidates but no action yet.

There are simply no regrets in my own opinion and head. This is a huge lesson to learn from as they go into the future hoping for the best ahead. He is not the first happening this way and will not be the last happening this way. Manchester United signed players like Memphis Depay and Angel Di Maria and sold them for a much lesser fee than they bought them.

They should focus on getting things right. Who I blame all along would be the glazers, because if they had done better a d made investment back into the club, Manchester United wouldn't have been this poor over the past ten to eleven years.

Their biggest issue with incomings is that they need to sell players before they can buy. At the end of the day people will come out to say bullshit about Erik Ten Hag but they don't know how much improvements Manchester United squad need be. A while lotta players has to to leave the club for good.
Manchester United will possibly get Manual Ugarte if they Paris Saint Germans can get that you g lad from Benfica completely.

Manchester United have always been a very big team, right now they have a very good team, I think they have enough material to be champions, even if they don't find more players I think they're doing great, I don't know, I think the facilities, the money, are something that always limits, and even more so a team, a management, everything affects that, I don't know what the facilities are like, I only know that when CR7 left he said that the club hasn't changed at all since he came in the Ferguson era, and at this point I think they should do that, just look at Madrid, even the Santiago Bernabeu itself they turned into a great sacred temple, and of course it's because of money, money is what limits everything, I think they have to do something, a campaign, something to recover, and the team has to believe in it, to me the Red Devils have always seemed to be on another level.
