I still can’t believe Arsenal are out of the FA Cup, so much for winning a quadruple this season. I was certain Arsenal would win Southampton without any trouble. A lot of the players had a horrible game especially Kepa, I guess the international games did a number on the players. Disappointed with this loss, the only bounce back Arteta can give the fanbase is a trophy.

Well it's a reminder that, the final owners of the trophies are totally unpredictable,
Arsenal had a good season but still yet unable to get a trophy, it's actually disappointing especially to their fans,

But we all talk so much about them like there are no trophies left, they still have a chance to play better and Win a trophy, this could just be a reminder that they have to try harder,

From my end i think the probability for Arsenal to be crowned champions of England is still sure and certain because Manchester City don't have what it takes to take Arsenal off the way to become champions of England. 
The Arsenal I know may not be consistent in performance presently now but can do all it takes to secure the English Premier League because that is there only hope of going home with something this season because I don’t think they still have what it takes to win the champions league as that is the trophy they have left apart from the champions league that they are not sure of going home with

I can't believe Arsenal players faked injury during the international break to return to England from their various international camp just to lose to Southampton in the FA Cup quarter final yesterday. Arsenal have lost their last two matches in English football which didn't speak well of them in their pursuit of the Premier League title. If Arsenal brings the same attitude in the Premier League, we might see Arsenal bottling the title fourth time in a row.

I am most surprised by the fact that Arsenal's performance and strength is only in the Premier League. Arsenal has lost another cup trophy. Arsenal's performance was not very strong in this match either. In comparison, Southampton defeated a strong figure like Arsenal by 2 goals, which was quite bad. Yes, if Arsenal continues to play with similar performance, it can put pressure on the Premier League. Arsenal should have been able to prove themselves better in these 2 cups and now they are going to play a match with Sporting in the Champions League and if Arsenal does not score many goals in these stages, it can be a very bad defeat for them. Arsenal's performance should be better and this match should be as much as they want because if they lose this match, Arsenal's reputation will be very weak and the strength they have built will be weakened.

I think arteta's strategies are not really working the way he planned lately, whatever he is doing now isn't really working and he should do something before it gets out of hand. Losing to Manchester city seemed to be a mistake but Southampton should not be a team that was supposed to cause any problems for them unless they are not really in form. They are putting their position on the line right now because they might lose it, Manchester is waiting for them to lose points

Well, they gap between them and city is enough to keep them at the top until they get back on their feet but if they keep on being reckless and losing matches then they would lose points and also the opportunity they have worked so hard for would be wasted. Arsenal lacks consistency and they always mess up whenever they are close to achieving something. They cannot secure a win in the champions league the least they can do is at least to win the Premier League title, it would make no sense if they start going backwards now.

De Zerbi is not a novice manager, he has done as much as he could with the teams that he managed, so there is a possibility that he could do better. But the real question is, how long will he stay?

If he does manage to keep the team afloat, then he could manage next year as well, but if he fails, and they do go down then I am guessing that he will be fired as well.

This is a very sensitive period for them, they are about to embark on a few game series that will decide the next five years for them.

De Zerbi is a bright manager. People calling him novice have forgotten his work in the Premier League. Taking on the Tottenham post with 7 matches to save their season was risky. Is De Zerbi going to remain if Spurs are not playing in the Premier League next year.

They definitely need to work harder for a trophy. It’s a shame that with the advantage they had in the beginning, they now have to put their eggs in one two baskets. I feel sorry for Saka, for all the years Starboy has carried this team, he deserves to win the league with Arsenal.

I concur. I too don't think Arteta should be let go even if Arsenal fails to win a single trophy this season. But as it is, Arsenal is still in the lead and still looking good enough to win the EPL title this season. Arsenal and its supporters are hungry for that title win as they strive to win it, coming so close to winning it the last 2 seasons.
Arteta has made a profound impact on Arsenal since he took over. Personally, I think he's made so much of an impact on Arsenal that they'll still keep him as manager even if he fails again to win the EPL title this season.
I'm hopeful they would go ahead to win it this time around.

Only 7 more matches, and Arsenal are actually counting down match by match to win the title. They can look at how Leicester City years ago won their Premier League title and try to do the same but surely Arsenal have better tradition than Leicester City. Manchester City won't give up but with only 7 more matches, it looks to be very late for Manchester City to overtake a first position. Especially Arsenal in this season are more stronger mentally than they were in three previous seasons.

You said it, it's only 7 games and things could go perfectly for them. I'd say things can go Arsenal's way, but if they don't really give it their all, they won't have a bit of luck. That's why they have to work hard. 7 games are like 7 finals, Arsenal should see it that way and work for it. City has won, City is starting to hunt, watch out.

From the look of things it is obvious that Arsenal is already losing form. First, was losing to Manchester city at the caraboa cup final and now they also lose to Southampton and losing to a team as Southampton only shows that they are exhausted. This usually the time of the season were Arsenal usually end up giving up the premier League trophy to Manchester city. I think Arsenal may not win the premier League trophy if they continue with this poor performance.

Arsenal are still in the best position place to win the English premier League title, but you can't just be too confident on them since they are unreliable, and their current form that is not that good makes it difficult for fans to have full hopes on them.
Though Manchester City may still win the English premier league from this arsenal team if they can win their outstanding games and they manages to beat arsenal when they square up against each other at the Etihad, that will reduce the point to just three, and if arsenal fumbles later on against any other team, but as it stands, arsenal are still in the best position to win the English premier league title, unless they have decided to bottle it once again.

I concur. I too don't think Arteta should be let go even if Arsenal fails to win a single trophy this season. But as it is, Arsenal is still in the lead and still looking good enough to win the EPL title this season. What the hell are you saying, you don't think Arteta should be sacked? After many years coaching the team without winning big titles. Mind you Arteta has been given lots of money to buy players so there's no excuse for him. If Arteta was in big clubs like Barcelona or Real Madrid he would have sacked since. Those club wants to win titles they are not ready to have patients with a coach who keep spending their money. You have said it all bro. They should stop making unreasonable excuses for his failing because a lot has been invested into this arsenal team, and he has been given a lot of time to deliver the league title, something most coaches don't have when a lot of money was spent, because instant results will be demanded, but Mikel arteta has all this luxury of being supported in the transfer market and is given a lot of time, and some people are talking about injuries, or are they the only team their players use to suffer from injury?
Injury are part of the game and all teams adapt to it when it  struck, so it should not be used as an excuse if for any reason they are leapfrog by Manchester City, because that's not a valid reason to lose the league title at this point of the season.

It was the same over dependency issue that made Arteta run Saka to the ground and the reason why he’s not in the best form today. However, I think it’s ridiculous to compare Arteta to the bald fraud Ten Hag. Like I said before, Arteta took this team from struggling for top 5 to competing for the league title every season. There are only a few rounds left in the Premier League. And the thirty-eighth round is the final one that will determine the standings for several teams. The top teams are doing their utmost to maintain their positions or even try to overtake the teams right behind them. Other teams near the relegation zone will fight tooth and even nail to avoid slipping further or even being relegated. West Ham is a team currently trying to escape the relegation zone...

You know what's funny? This fight to avoid relegation is actually more fun for me than the title race. Have you seen the situation of West Ham, Tottenham and Forest? What a miserable situation these team are in, fighting with a gap of just one or two points each. With just one win or loss, any team can be completely eliminated, the entire table can change. No way you could relax, now every single meet is sixpointer. Specially when two team who are close to relegation face each other the excitement become sky high. It is a complete chaos, man, because now every team is fighting for their existence. One single mistake mean gambling with your future & the consequences of which can be terrible

I don't think Arteta will be sacked and I believe the board are not even thinking in that direction. Arsenal might be out of the FA Cup and also lost in the Carabao cup final, but I am still more than confident that they will win the Premier League this season, so there is no way Arsenal is going trophyless this season. They are also still in the Champions League and I am sure they are considered amongst the favorite to win it, so I really don't understand why some Arsenal fans are so worried.  I am also sure they will complain if Arsenal won the FA Cup and Carabao cup, but lost out on the premier league,  so I think Arteta should just concentrate on his job and I believe he will still win the premier league.

For now the gap between Arsenal and Manchester City shows that Arsenal has the upper hand in the Premier League title race but if Manchester City wins their outstanding match, the gap will be reduce, and if they win their match against Arsenal, the gap will be further reduce, and we know that if this happens Arsenal will be in big trouble as they find it difficult to handle pressure when the season is about to end. If Arsenal wants to end this season as the Premier League champions, they should avoid defeat against Manchester City because Manchester City last two matches shows that they can win all their remaining eight matches.

Arsenal have worked really hard to be where they are today and God willing, they will win the premier league title, in a league where one team or club is the one who continue to stay in form well enough to keep winning the trophy season after season, such league won't survive for long because fans will sooner than later get tired of watching games from that league when they already know what the outcome will in the end of the season.

Manchester City are really in a better shape than Arsenal recently. First they beat Arsenal and won the EFL Cup trophy. Right after an international break, they just demolished Liverpool at Etihad! 

Arsenal got eliminated from the FA Cup too unfortunately. Besides they have so many missing players due to injury. Will at least most of them be able to recover back soon? Otherwise the remaining weeks will be painful for them...

Arsenal not winning the league would be a very big shock, at this point it would be near impossible for them to get the win anywhere else, sure UCL may not happen and that would make sense, and sure they lost all other places, but the league? The league looks like it's theirs and it would be a very big shock for them to lose here.

I think the best case for all of us would be that we should be considering how this could make the biggest difference. I understand that it is not that easy for Arsenal to keep winning, but they just need to win some of the games and considering City won't win all theirs, it should be possible for Arsenal to recover and start playing good enough to win the league, even a few losses would still be fine.
