I'm beginning to love how Mikel Arteta is no longer pressured by the intensity of the game. He reads the game well, takes off the right players and also substitute in the right names who can manage the game until the final whistle.

I must not forget to give credit to that that great defensive unit who held down that goal. And it was beautiful how every Arsenal player consistently fought for every second ball and made sure they covered every distance they could. This is the first time Mikel Arteta has won at Anfield ever since he took over the Arsenal job. The slip of Manchester City yesterday to Brighton yesterday has officially sent gunners on top with this three points victory tonight.

The match looks very difficult for Liverpool. Having trailed 0-1 at the beginning of the match, they are now fighting against Arsenal's strong defense. But it does not seem that Liverpool will succeed, Arsenal is ahead in the midfield battle.

The match ended a few minutes ago with Liverpool losing to Arsenal 1-0. Indeed, it was a very difficult match for Liverpool, because arsenal were well organized defensively and disciplined in the midfield. However, I expected nothing but a win from Arsenal because Liverpool doesn't seem informed.

Liverpool on the other hand tried, but their efforts were not enough to break arsenal defense. The management should sign better strikers because, Alexander isak and Cody Gakpo despite their individual qualities hasn't been clinical enough in front of goal.

IMO, Liverpool  tried in todays game, but what they need are reliable forwards who can convert the chances created and make the difference in difficult matches like this one.

Liverpool had several chances to equalize the goal, but there was no body clinical enough in front of goal to take advantage of those opportunities and get the equalizer.

Eve with the injury Arsenal might be under going right now, Arsenal is far better than Liverpool club, I'm not sliding Arsenal because they are winning right now or neither I'm Arsenal fan, i will deny the fact that Arsenal is good, I'm a Liverpool fan but will not stop from speaking the truth, so Arsenal winning right will automatically lift them to the top of the league and in look of things right now, Arsenal will be topping Manchester City with points, Arsenal has dealing with every clubs that come in contact with, just to make sure they are able of occuping the tap table.

It looks like this Arsenal team might do back to back premier league title win. I still don't understand how Brighton was able to beat them, because these guys are looking formidable.  Although they are poor in attack, but their midfielder and defender's are solid. I don't see any team that can beat them again for now. My thought was that since this game is being played at the  Anfield then Liverpool should have an advantage so either Liverpool wins or draw the game. Currently Arsenal are better than Liverpool and others. I wonder how deadly this team would have been if they had a strong attacking side. They will become deadly like Paris Saint Germain. Pep guardian has retired, Arteta now wants to begin his own premier league dominace.

Good performance from Liverpool, unfortunately they couldn’t take their chances in front of goals, they lost to an Arsenal team that is playing defensively, that is what happens when you don’t take your chances, Liverpool played good game more than Arsenal who was just defending all throughout the game, Liverpool could’ve easily scored 1,2,3 in first half, but the result didn’t show the performance of Liverpool, it was a high intensity game from Iraola’s team, they have to try and convert their chances more when facing bigger opponents, Liverpool can’t win a Premier League title playing this kind of football that they’re not converting their chances. They deserve to lose for not taking their chances in front of goals.

Arsenals defence is just too good, even PSG couldn’t crack it last season. Liverpool really tried honestly, they pressed very well and made the game interesting but unfortunately they couldn’t convert their chances. Anytime they had the ball in the box it’s almost as if they were 15 arsenal players in the box together with them, so many shots blocked before they could even create any threat. Liverpool deserved better from this game. If not anything a draw would have been a better result considering the amount of effort and pressing they showed from minute 0 to injury time. Kudos to arsenal for taking their chance and very solid defending, this game went as I expected it would, can’t lie though I really wanted Liverpool to win this one.

I have never been a fan of Arsenal but as lover of good football football i must commend the Arsenal team, lately they have been so composed defensively that they now remind me of the old Chelsea squad, back then when Chelsea had coach Mourinho, when Chelsea was known as a defensive team.

Arsenal holding a 0:1 lead few minutes into the first half till the end of the game is highly commendable, especially against an attacking team like Liverpool, it shows the level of work that coach Artheta have put into boosting the confidence of his boys, if Arsenal continue this way defensively, they would definitely win either the EPL or Champions league or even both.

liverpool lost possession while trying to build up play from their own half. they actually ran back quickly, but couldn’t get into the right positions. havertz scored off a cross from rice. arsenal looks more effective in the first half.
liverpool has been very inconsistent this season. they just haven’t been able to find any stability. there’s still a long way to go in the match. but with the way they’re playing right now, liverpool can’t win. iraola needs to try something different. he just can’t keep up with these mind games against arteta.

Literally you are right Arsenal were able to capitalize on City's defeat as they moved to the top of the points table for this PL season by winning today's match. You also need to see that they were knocked out of the EFL Cup in the fourth round after an unexpected penalty shootout defeat to Fleetwood Town but even though this team lost that match, they turned things around brilliantly today in the Premier League match against the experienced Liverpool.

This competitive match was held at Liverpool's home ground, but the team was able to play with more confidence after an Arsenal player scored in the 16th minute as we can't really deny that the Arsenal players put in a top level performance which saw them pick up their eighth win and the team managed to collect 24 points this season.

So far it's working, they’re good to go. They just broke that barrier that's been stopping them from winning at Anfield for many years now, with Arsena's current form it would be tough for them to drop from the first position, Manchester City that's their biggest contender has lost form after losing back to back.

 Mikel Arteta is gradually turning out to be the best manager after Pep Guardiola's era, his consistency is top notch and he's drilled the team to be so organised and good defensively, maybe I'll start supporting them to win the league again this season.

Liverpool has really dominated the first half and couldn't score, infact they didn't have a single shot on target after 8 attempts, with the way they have been playing and running over Arsenal it's as if they have more players on the pitch than Arsenal. Arsenal played well when the match started and scored early and since then Liverpool has been in control without any goal. Although I wonder why Liverpool didn't get at least one penalty from the 2 clear penalty incident. That shit pulling on Isak when he was about to head the ball, that actually pulled him back from getting to the ball but neither did the referee or VAR intervened, Gakpo pull back was another incident as well, I won't be particular about that Mac Allister own because I really don't see it as a penalty offence.

It also came to my mind that Liverpool had been quite attacking in the first half. After witnessing their tactics after trailing in a pitch such as Anfield, I believe it's become a regular occurrence in their game. But it was once again proved that making more attacks and making good chances in the goal is not the same. If Liverpool did indeed have 8 attempts but failed to put any in on target, it demonstrates that it is not just about luck, it is about the decision making process as they approached the goal and the accuracy of the shots.

On the other hand, Arsenal, although they could not keep the ball in their possession for a long time, were able to take advantage of the opportunities at crucial times and move forward.

That’s what you would expect of every good coach. Aside from having to study your opponent and strategize on what best means to approach the game, studying the game as it goes is just as vital too. This is how you’re able to make tactical substitutions and be able to bring in players that would be effective on the pitch.
Mikel hasn’t only built his name about his defensive strategy in having to concede very minimum goals but, has being able to manage games the ensure his team doesn’t lose.

The job was to take first lead, reinforce the defenders and leave the midfielders and forward to do the job and that is what they did. He knows that to win in Anfield, he has to be careful, like he didn't even struggle in this match even when Iraola was substituting players when it was getting to end to equalize, he didn't panic to make any exchange of the players, he trusted his players to defend and counter attack and they kept it cool until the end.

Like joke now, they are back at the top of the table and everyone suddenly has gone quite including me. I was afraid for Arsenal that they have no hope of winning this league again the way they were inconsistent and I thought Manchester City are back to their strong days but they couldn't. Even Haaland looks tired, I'm not sure if it's the Balon D'or award or there is something he is fighting, he is not doing well recently.

It does not matter how long a team keeps the ball, if you fail to make good use of the ball when in your possession, you may regret the next minute when it gets to your opponent. I am not happy with Arsenal even on the day of their victory. We applaud them for their success against Liverpool today, but if their defense had somehow failed, we would have blamed them for playing too defensively. They did the same thing in the Champions League final, they started playing defensively after taking a 1-goal lead. They did not become European champions because of just one mistake.

I mean, Arteta should aim for at least two goals. It is very difficult and risky to survive 70-80 minutes of a match with a 1-goal lead. So he should try to defend the match after taking a 2-goal lead.

This strategy of Arteta and Arsenal is not a new one, they have been using it for so many seasons. They will just score one and lock up, and when you examine their performance, you will not be convinced that they are in a top form. Clubs will keep underrating and keep getting punished for it.

If Arsenal won Liverpool by 4 goals, the next team to play them would have been very fearful and plan well. But since it's just a goal, they will have a mediocre performance and ends up getting whipped .

Arsenal may likely win the EPL again this season considering that Manchester city is facing some legal crisis and more. Arsenal is also a good contender of the champions League.

Seriously, I did not expect this kind of result from Arsenal today against Liverpool. Visiting Liverpool at Anfield, scoring an early goal, and still managing to defend that one goal lead is impressive. Seriously, Arsenal's defensive line was so crazy today, And the funny part is that they did not even have a shot on target at Anfield.I did not expect Arsenal to be able to win this match because it has been a very long time since Arsenal last had the opportunity to win Liverpool at Anfield. So, my belief was that even if Arsenal tried harder, the best result they could get would be a draw. But surprisingly, they collected all three points from Liverpool today. That is a very good job from Arsenal! Now, they are back at the top of the table.
