Get jobs, get more jobs if you can, if you can't take another job on top of what you have right now, learn a skill or a craft, preferably one that is not as time consuming, not stressful, and not something as major as your current employment, look into baking, writing, tutoring, all that stuff. From there, hone your skill, master your craft, and build a clientelle. I think when you are a young kid your parents are very strict and they wanted you to get high grades or else you get punish I think that sinks into your mind that is why you are scared of you mum. For me i never experience that kind of strictness to my parents they let me study and do not force me to get high grades they do wanted me to enjoy my studies and they did not set any grades to reach because they do know how stressful is studying. I am thankful to my parents i did not feel scare about them if i did not excel in school instead they are more supportive what ever grade i got. It's true there's no mentioned if @OP's wife pressured him, but @OP said he's scared when he want to go home. I get your point, but it's not as easy as it sounds. This may be someone who barely makes enough to take care of his family, so where will the money for saving and investing come from?
On the other hand, he may be someone who makes an adequate amount of money, but an idea of others is what he wants. If he makes a fairly good amount and is unable to take care of his family with that, then the problem is on him.

Chill out man, your life isn't over yet. Hardship doesn't make you weak, if you can overcome this, it will only make you stronger. They should support you throughout all your situations.  Trust me I have faced the same situation in life. To a level where I was dedicated to killing myself. Life was so miserable back then. So I took a break and went back to my family. After some hard work, now I am doing quite well.
One thing that I have learned, you should never give up. Situations like this will come and go. But the people around you should support you in every ups and downs in your life. I will tell you what you need to do to make a lot of money and it is lawful and ethical. Since I do not know what your level of education is, I would assume that you have a diploma. You need to increase your sources of income through upskilling. You may choose to go into tech where you are sure to be paid $50k - $70k for entry level positions. You could also try digital marketing, or maybe consider learning crypto or forex trading whichever appeals to you the most. If you have some cash, buy some credit card machines, take it to a restaurant or a coffee shop and whenever people pay through the machine using their card you get some commission. Yes, every problem has a solution. Just like after the night will definitely change with the day. So, he must be more patient and continue to strengthen himself and must be able to get through difficult situations that he may indeed be experiencing. I don't think he was influenced by his childhood, maybe he was in a situation where he was forced to have a lot of money that he didn't explicitly tell us about. There are lots of good jobs you can do or works you can take up online and make legit money. There is such a good word - diversification. It applies to many areas of our life. It also applies to income generation. I strongly recommend not to "cling to one job", but to look for additional options of income, from active (for example, outsourcing some tasks) to passive (investments, buying land, accumulation of cryptocurrencies). This has a lot of advantages - you develop your skills and knowledge much more extensively, you get rid of the fear of "getting laid off" or "getting a pay cut," and you become more free. That's true but everyone thinks differently when they are in an urgent situation, sometimes people have to do everything they can to be able to bring home money otherwise their families can't eat anything, so indeed these things must be avoided from an early age to be able to build access as well as relations to the right job so that it will be a little easier when we are in dire need.

I think the OP can't forget his childhood stories and it's because of overly strict parents who put a lot of pressure on his childhood, and when new or current stories have something in common that makes his past come back to him.

The things we do today are likely going to be repeated by those we give birth to or we foster. The OP didn't speak clearly about his situation and misled many people. It can be said that I have had the same difficulty as him when not being able to earn enough money to provide for the family's main meal and coming home after a day of work is a terrible thing. If you have been in that situation, you will understand when you come home from work and see your children standing at the door waiting for their father, but then you will disappoint them after that. As a father, it is an indescribable torment. But luckily, my life has improved a lot now, and I have almost everything I need.

It seems that you grew up in a negative environment. As a grew up my i never experienced to be scared on failing my grades because my parents did not set a very high expectation. They just let me study and supported me weather i get a  high or low grade. They do not demand and pressure me to study very hard and get this grades. This is just a suggestion do not do to your children what you had experienced when you are growing up. Being in that kind of situation it can affect their mental health and the fear deep inside them will grow and it will stays in their heart and mind forever. A little funny reading this thread, why, yes considering my almost similar childhood. I don't remember the details, but the upbringing of parents then and now is very different. we are taught not only about formal lessons at school, but there are many values ​​of life, whether ethics, culture, religion, hard work, desire, intention, and whatever it is we must have good grades. if not, there will be consequences of punishment from my parents. my parents' upbringing patterns in the past, embedded in my personal life.

It seems that you grew up in a negative environment. As a grew up my i never experienced to be scared on failing my grades because my parents did not set a very high expectation. They just let me study and supported me weather i get a  high or low grade. They do not demand and pressure me to study very hard and get this grades. Being early is good but its not really that something that should really be forced on doing so because if you do able to do such thing then you would really be definitely be able to stir up their minds and might be ending up

Cause if you'd ask me, provided that you're still young, if your parents are putting you in too much pressure like that I'd say you're better off leaving them the first chance you get. No child should feel this stressed upon reaching dreams that their parents set up for them. You're not an insurance plan. If you're putting this upon yourself, I'd say you should actually take it easy my friend. I'm guessing you're at a point in your life where you don't have to really go through so much stress and pressuring yourself like that isn't going to help you ace your exams or whatnot. It sounds like you've been living a lifestyle that is quite unhealthy for quite some time. If you are scared to go home, that's troubling to hear. Home should be your sanctuary, no matter what your situation or stress. If you aren't making enough money and you need to make a change, home should be the place where you adjust your plan or make a new one to be able to improve the future. The way he was raised was way too negative for a kid to be raised and what he is going through is evidence for what he has been through in his childhood. According to him, it was his mother who has been so harsh on him which is another thing one cannot believe because generally it's fathers who are harsh on their children so that they learn the things the hard way and have a better future but this is something different.

I think that your childhood traumas were caused by your parents or other authority figures making unrealistically high demands of you because they were taught the same way and they think that such an upbringing must somehow be right. You just have been conditioned to be fearful of failure. But failure is important. It teaches us and makes us greater. Would your family starve if you had to find a new job? There are situations in our lives on which it is really that something that affects us totally or generally because we arent get used to things like this or like that. For some people then it wouldn't really be that much of

People are usually busy earning money because they are happy with their family and when their means of earning money is stopped while earning money, that person realizes how difficult it is for him to manage his family. Here OP mentions that he used to earn a lot of money with which he used to live well with his family but suddenly his money income stopped due to which now he is looking for ways to earn money like before and he says he will not return home until he can earn good amount of money ie he is now desperate for money income. The OP didn't speak clearly about his situation and misled many people. It can be said that I have had the same difficulty as him when not being able to earn enough money to provide for the family's main meal and coming home after a day of work is a terrible thing. If you have been in that situation, you will understand when you come home from work and see your children standing at the door waiting for their father, but then you will disappoint them after that. As a father, it is an indescribable torment. But luckily, my life has improved a lot now, and I have almost everything I need.

You need help man, your problem is not just money, you are scared about life and you need to see a therapist to help you out, the forum cannot help you out on that aspect. I don't object to what you two are saying. But the problem is when we are at that age, we never think about our career or our future, we get carried away with friends, the pleasures of youth. I believe that when we were young, our parents used to give such advice, but how many people will listen and follow? That is the instinct of youth and almost all of us have to go through it.
