Lolol they prolly symphatize for him for how badly he was treated by Dana White and the UFC.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  There could also be more secret MMA fans here at BCT than we think and they're quietly voting for our guy Ngannou...  Cheesy

Seriously tho, Ngannou has a puncher's chance.  More so at the early rounds.  But after around R3, he'll start to fade and Fury will take over and win.  So a live bet for Fury is prolly the best way to go about this.  Hopefully Ngannou makes it competitive at the first couple of rounds or even get a KD.

I agree, it would be a matter of stamina since Ngannou is not familiar with long rounds of a fight. He might be gasping for air after 3 or 4 rounds since UFC is know to have 3 or 5 rounds.  Another concern is that Ngannou is used to boxing gloves, he is more use to grapplers glove it is way lighter than what is used in boxing. This will consumed way more stamina than the once gloves Ngannou used.  I also think that Ngannou may have the chance on the early round but once it goes the distance, we will see how Fury dominates him.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It seems to me that the issue is not the length of the rounds. He has enough physical strength to jump-run for an hour or two, I'm sure of this, the problem is that Fury will constantly hit him, including in the body, and this will greatly reduce both Ngannou's speed and his endurance. As for Ngannou's blows, they are unlikely to reach the goal, but one blow is enough, so there are chances.

Francis Ngannou started out as a Boxer but he never competed instead took the MMA route as it was fairly new and it was easier to get recognition and money and the glove size is not at all an issue, once you wear them you will understand the difference.

Surprised that many think that Francis Ngannou have a chance in the early rounds against the best Heavyweight boxer of this generation and arguably could be listed among the greatest Boxers ever  Cheesy.

Most likely it's because of the power the Francis possesses, and with that many are given him a chance to win. But as you have said, Tyson Fury has this uncanny combination for a HW, very fast, technical, can move with his fight and then he has the power.

So it's really hard to see how Francis will offset that. Maybe he can hit Fury, once, but for sure, with his foot work, it's hard to target a moving object even if it is as big as Tyson Fury.

"Francis punching power". Did anyone ever see a heavyweight with weak punches ? Cheesy Like I've said, many just watched Ngannous knockout compilations on YouTube, UFC has created him an image of scary beast. And compared to fat and chubby Fury he sure looks more profitable. I think people who believe in Ngannous victory are away from boxing. And they never seen a real boxing monster with knocking power (like Forman, Frazier, Tua or Ibeabuchi).

For me, what makes Fury able to validate that he is the best in the heavyweight division was when he beat Wilder. The latter was the strongest guy, as he had knocked out all his opponents before facing Fury. However, Fury was strong enough and found a way to beat the beast. So, you are right, Ngannou might have a lot of knockout highlights, but we cannot change the fact that Fury owned the heavyweight division in boxing.

I agree with you.
I am sure first two rounds will be good for Ngannou, unless he runs like a bull without thinking and lands on fury fist  Wink
He sure has power and he could create some damage to Fury, but that can only happen if Fury doesnt take him seriously at all.
Whatever happens in this fight they will both come out as winners with multi million dollars earned, but maybe we could earn something along the way.

Yup and here's the thing, if Ngannou makes it a bit more competitive after a couple of rounds, check the live odds.  If you could get Fury at the decent price, like around 1.50 or better or even 1.30 or better, that's an auto bet imho.  And for big money as that's almost a 100% win for a discounted line.  Ngannou will prolly just have around 5 to 6 rounds of boxing in him before he gasses out.

And yeah...  Ngannou should be happy with the money he's getting.  I hope he's so happy that he'll go for a one match contract with the UFC to fight Jon Jones.  We the fans deserve to see it.  Grin

But don't forget the Ngannou early finishes market tho.  Have a feeling he'll touch Fury's chin at R1.

But don't forget the Ngannou early finishes market tho.  Have a feeling he'll touch Fury's chin at R1.

The odds would probably be like x100 if he manages to KO Fury in round one. We know he is a KO machine, but that's too much to expect because Fury is not a careless boxer, and he also knows how to stand up when knocked down. Well, we can never know; this is boxing, and Ngannou has the power to KO an opponent, so it's worth taking the risk if you are going to bet.

Francis would no doubt fight Jones but it's out of his hands now. He's contracted to the Pfl and there's no way Dana would do a cross promotion. Best we can hope for is for Francis to quickly run his contract down by blitzing everyone in the pfl then hope Dana will put his ego aside and do the one off mega fight or even re-sign him. I think Jones has 7 fights left on his contract so it will be a long time before he ever gets out of that. The ufc hasn't even got 7 heavyweights I'd like to see either. I suspect Jones will make easy work of Stipe.

I doubt it will be 100x bigger but I'm certainly wanting to put a Ngannou first round ko bet on. If he's gonna do it it will likely be early and I think his best bet is to just come out swinging and try smother him.

I doubt it will be 100x bigger but I'm certainly wanting to put a Ngannou first round ko bet on. If he's gonna do it it will likely be early and I think his best bet is to just come out swinging and try smother him.

I definitely wanted to make such a bet (Ngannou's victory by knockout in the first round) but now I understand that I will not succeed - too many people see this option as possible, which means the odds will be far from interesting.
I hope that if the knockout does happen, Ngannou will not “let go” of Fury and finish him off. Fury has good experience of continuing the fight from a disadvantageous situation (for example, he defeated Cunningham who knocked him down in the second round).

Of course, it is a big issue because UFC fighters are not trained to be boxers where they have to survive 12 straight rounds per fight or even in their sparring rounds, they are taught differently because stamina is not that big of a deal in UFC but in boxing, it is.

I know that Francis Ngannou does have a chance, but those chances are only much greater in the early rounds where his stamina is still at full level but when it comes to middle and late rounds, it will be a challenge to him to stay focused as he just cannot catch up specially against an experienced boxer where they are trained to preserve their stamina even if they are being hit constantly.

The odds would be x100?  If that were really the case then point me a bookie where they offer Ngannou to win via KO at R1 with those odds.  Grin  That would def be a sweet deal and a super +EV bet.  And if ever there was such a line, I don't think it would last more than a few hours before the sharps start putting some money in and cause the line to move...

Mmm..  If Jones would beat all comers at the UFC HW division, he's prolly be open to a cross promotion match up like the UFC almost did with Amanda Nunes vs PFL's women's 145 champ Kayla Harrison.  But Nunes ended up losing that match vs Pena so the match up with Harrison was scrapped.  But yeah...  Could happen if the timing and possible reward from such an event are right.

But if not, I'm fine seeing Pavlovich fight Jones then Aspinall.  I think Aspinall will be the future of UFC HW.  Overall great guy, good fighter and smart.

It seems most people think Francis has zero chance but that's why it's pointless putting money on Fury to win because the odds are shit and there's always the chance of an upset. I personally prefer high risk high reward and there's no excitement if you're not winning big. Personally I think Francis could knock anyone out on the planet and Tyson isn't going to be able to dodge everything Francis throws at him so its worth putting something on. If Francis can't get a KO though he'll almost certainly gas out.

Let me know when bookies start giving odds on the first round KOs. Skybet has nothing yet just win, lose, draw.

Hopefully Dana is up for at least considering fighting Francis. Francis has taken a stake in the PFL as far as I'm concerned so I'm not sure if he will ever leave it and given Jones has 7 fights left on his contract I'm not sure we'll ever see it. Jones might not even make it to 7 fights given his age and lack of opponents. I'm sure he will fight Aspinal next year if he keeps winning.

Not unless Blaydes is around, Aspinall has a lot to munch. They couldn't just skip Blaydes and just straight right away with Pavlovich or Jones. It's a steep climb for Aspinal seeing there are so many heavy hitters in the division.

Ngannou vs Jones might happen first. Dana wouldn't want to miss the opportunity since Ngannou is a celebrity. Once Ngannou is already a HW champion in PFL, the cross-promotion will happen for another HW BMF.

I think that Ngannou also has a good punch, but he is a fighter of a slightly different plan, and Fury is a professional boxer and you should not underestimate him, he has a very strong punch. Perhaps the fight will not be 12 rounds, if it takes place at all. And I doubt that this fight could have been discussed if Ngannou had not found himself in the situation in which he is now. Anyway, it's more like a show than a real fight.

Maybe you're right, but still it seems to me that both boxing and UFC are both closer to a marathon/middle distance than boxing = marathon and UFC = sprint/medium distance. The only question is how you are doing in the ring. If you are a boxer and your wrestler opponent is dragging you down the canvas then you will get tired already in the first round (UFC).  If you are both boxers but your opponent is constantly hitting you, then you will be tired long before the middle rounds (boxing). And I have no doubt that it is Fury who will constantly beat Ngannou from medium and long distances while remaining almost invulnerable.

It seems most people think Francis has zero chance but that's why it's pointless putting money on Fury to win because the odds are shit and there's always the chance of an upset. Yes, I also hate small odds (like +10% at the risk of losing the entire bet). The bet on Ngannou here looks the only reasonable one.
You are right about Ngannou, but by the way, it is not known what shape the greedy belly is in, he often had problems with sports mode and I am not at all sure that he will be in good physical shape (especially when assuming that the fight will be easy).

Haha certainly! Grin I feel you because I would definitely bet on that specific line if in case something like that will be listed by the sports bookies.

Although it's quite impossible to think that there would be a x100 odds but I reckon that somehow it would be around x20 to x30 to KO Fury in Round 1 because it's no wonder anymore that bookies will list Francis Ngannou as an underdog because first and foremost, he will fight Tyson Fury in a game where the latter have more experience, professionally.

The latest news is Mike Tyson agreed to train Ngannou in his up and coming fight against Tyson Fury, he followed his promise that he would train Ngannou if he had a boxing match coming and this is it, Ngannou had a big knock out punch if Mike can train him to polish his boxing skill and put a good timing in his punches he has a good chance of beating Tyson Fury.

I really thought this thread will come up from time to time as the date approaches. Mike stepping up to train Ngannou will really give Ngannou a high chance of making it up there with one shot opportunity. It's gotta be the one shot Ngannou needed to have the greatest story ever for a UFC fighter to climb up to stardom.

I thought Mike to train Ngannou was just an idea but they were indeed started training already.

Now, Francis Ngannou's chance in this bout did increased evidently because of that compared from the last time where people are expecting that he will not last that long in the ring against Tyson Fury because there is not much to show against a boxing champion who is also undefeated. But now it's different because Mike Tyson's now has surfaced and will personally train the UFC star who is already packing a lot of punching power in his fist. This has gotten more interesting!
