And now the father of Tyson Fury, wanted to go after Mike Tyson.

Quote
"[I'd like to fight] Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson, I’m going to the top of the tree. And he’s a traitor, and I’m going to tell him so in Saudi next week. Next week, he’ll be told," John Fury told Fight Hub TV.

https://www.boxingscene.com/amp/john-fury-plans-confront-traitor-mike-tyson-during-fury-ngannou-fight-week--178598

That is a very bad idea, even at Mike Tyson's age, he is still very scary as hell. And perhaps this is just to hype the fight as we all know that John Fury wanted to get into the limelight as well when his son/s have fight.

And I guess there's nothing personal on Mike's side, maybe he just wanted to train Francis Ngannou, who he might see himself when he was starting his boxing career. Power in both hands but very raw.

John Fury called Iron Mike a traitor because they used to have good relationships. Tyson Fury is also named after John's idol Iron Mike. But this is nothing personal though and Iron Mike is probably invited and paid well by Ngannou's team so why not? Or it could be that the promoters or organizers hired Iron Mike to make an issue out of it which is somewhat corny. Or who knows this is set up by both teams to make the public buy their upcoming PPV.

John always tries to get attention as always although I guess he was one of the reasons why the Tommy Furry-KSI and Logan vs Dillon event became successful to the casual fans. If the ultra-conservative Saudis allow John to make extra stunts like smashing and throwing the tables and chairs in their conference and weigh-in then I guess it will once again draw popularity to the public.

And just like any other father-fighter relationships in this sports, it more of the father who wanted to get more attention isn't it? Teo Lopez Sr, Angel Garcia (Danny's father), some that comes to my mind. So I'm not surprised by John Fury as he has this kind of attitude and antics to the media. Like you said, in the Tommy Fury-KSI fight, there's even a glass window barrier between the two, but what did John Fury do? Smash it and even to the point of head butting to try and break the glass.

So let's see what his going to do when he met Mike Tyson personally in Riyadh, it could be funny though if we see Tyson smacking him in front of the media. But I don't think he can come near Mike Tyson though. Mike can take care of himself that's for sure.

But this statement could really be good to hype the fight even more specially that they have involved Mike Tyson's name here.

If Ngannou manages to beat Fury, he will need to do it twice because of a rematch clause. If he manages to defeat Fury a second time then it will pave the way for him to fight any other boxer. There have been many rumours that never resulted in confirmed fights for example of Joshua vs Wilder and Fury vs Usyk therefore Wilder vs Ngannou is just another one.

In my opinion, Fury will score a win over Ngannou and that should mean the remaining top fighters will stick to fighting professional boxers.

If there really is a rematch clause for them, it will be good for Ngannou. I think he is also eyeing to fight Wylder, legitimizing his boxing path and probably going into boxing while also into PFL.

So, imagine Ngannou taking on Fury, who's considered the heavyweight boxing champ. This could be his ticket to the top, opening the door to even bigger fights. Those names you mentioned? They'd give someone a challenge, especially Wilder. He's a knockout artist, and that alone makes it a match worth watching.

But hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves. These are just possibilities, and we can't ignore that the odds aren't in Ngannou's favor. If he manages to beat Fury, that'll silence all the doubters and prove he's the best. It's kinda funny how Fury looks less in shape compared to Ngannou. His physical appearance is a complete opposite to Ngannou's. Maybe that's why, at first glance, people might lean toward Ngannou as the favorite.

They have a rematch clause in the contract? That is strange and unusual. Because for the boxing world, Ngannou is nobody. He has big name, fighting record, he is familiar as a vicious knockout artist and people would pay to see him fight. But he zero ranking in boxing. I really doubt that boxing promotions will let their champion fight unranked guy twice. I would even say that boxing association would simply forbid that, because their fight slows down whole division. Their second fight means that other boxers must wait 6-12 months before champion will be ready to do his obligatory title defence.

Ngannou said that there is a potential rematch clause. More likely, the scenario is, since everyone expects Tyson Fury to win, if he wins, there is no rematch but if he loses, then there is a rematch, that's what I read in article from mirror.co.uk.
By the way, boxing and MMA, these fighting sports and not only them, are totally on profit making. Is there money made? Everything is possible and none-money making people or matches are less important. Money may kill European football too. At least, our favorite and lovely players are leaving EU and moving in Saudi and the USA.

Although Tyson Fury has denied it, there are news that are floating around that indeed there is a rematch clause. It's understandable though, maybe the camp of Fury just want to make sure that if by small chance they got defeated by Francis here, there will be a second fight and Tyson Fury will be able to get back his belt and obviously the money is still going to be in the table.

But in seems though that everyone is already looking past Ngannou because they've said that a Fury vs Usyk is going to happen next in the Middle East as well. Just a couple more days for this fight. Everything is already set up, and obviously good marketing by the promotional team behind this fight.

And it feels good when Danny lost to Thurman and Teofimo humiliated by Kambosos. I would also be glad if Ngannou all of a sudden lands something big that won't allow Big Belly to stand up. Cheesy

John is all talk, Iron Mike can still knock him out. They should face each other in the main undercard to make this event more popular. But John Fury's professional record isn't good to hear though, 8-4-1 KOs. Lost almost half of his fights, suffered knockout outs in half of his fights, and has only one knockout in his wins. So John's punch can hardly crack an egg. Cheesy

Cheesy

the promotion will still not allow them to fight even i they started to have this john vs mike fight. the insurance policy will not allow them and Saudis wouldn't want blood on their hands if any of them suddenly just fall and die in the ring. this is just to hype the hype.

while it's not worth to try betting with just 10usdt for Fury, i would just pick Ngannou for this throwaway amount to maximize the win in case of an upset. way to go Ngannou by KO 9.00!

It's very obvious that John Fury is only hyping his son's fight by involving Mike Tyson. He should know better not to get Mike angry with what he says to him. And so I don't think that it will go that far to say that someone will die here, it's just absurd. Does John wanted to get knockout?

And for sure Mike Tyson is not going to stoop down on that level and verbally or physically attack John. Doesn't make sense for him. He will understand that this is all for the hype and promotion of the fight just for selling the tickets, nothing more.

With the odds paying out so small for Tyson Fury, it’s hardly worth betting on. I think even with Tyson being the massive favorite and in my opinion will be the winner, betting on Francis Ngannou is a more attractive bet just because there’s at least the chance of a decent payout. This just doesn’t seem like a good event to bet on unless you’re pairing it with another bet.

Regardless of whether Ngannou wins the fight or not, it is quite possible this could be the catalyst that indicates the decline of the very names I mentioned previously (Joshua, Wilder, Usyk and Fury himself). How much longer can these boxers continue as they head towards their twilight years?

But hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves. These are just possibilities, and we can't ignore that the odds aren't in Ngannou's favor. If he manages to beat Fury, that'll silence all the doubters and prove he's the best. It's kinda funny how Fury looks less in shape compared to Ngannou. His physical appearance is a complete opposite to Ngannou's. Maybe that's why, at first glance, people might lean toward Ngannou as the favorite.
Fury has a habit of turning up in the big fights and winning, regardless of the way his physique looks. What I found interesting in their face was when Fury stated he trained for double the usual time for a fight simply because he had to

the promotion will still not allow them to fight even i they started to have this john vs mike fight. the insurance policy will not allow them and Saudis wouldn't want blood on their hands if any of them suddenly just fall and die in the ring. this is just to hype the hype.

while it's not worth to try betting with just 10usdt for Fury, i would just pick Ngannou for this throwaway amount to maximize the win in case of an upset. way to go Ngannou by KO 9.00!

according to the interview, Helwani sometimes throws some intriguing questions which could give you the impression they really are into crazy shits. it was Ngannou's idea which irks Fury if Mike is in his camp while Fury is named after Mike.

i did not look at it that way at first but now it makes sense why John is going nuts. he is Mike's fan that he named his son after Mike. anyway, i changed my mind and rooting for Fury instead, there are signs people have seen that the result could be Fury by decision.

I am curious why John Fury started to talk a lot only now, when it was known long time ago that Mike Tyson is helping Ngannou to prepare for the fight. The persona of Mike Tyson plays an interesting role in that fight actually. John Fury uses him to hype. And with Mike Tyson in Ngannou corner, Ngannou let everyone understand that he is not interested in winning, but is interested only in those 10millions he gonna get. If Ngannou really wanted to win this fight, he would have hired a real coach. Mike is not a coach, his style is totally different from Ngannou is used to.

He has waited for the right time, yes, we all know that Mike Tyson will be in the corner of Francis, but maybe he didn't believed it in the beginning. But when videos of him began to surface and Mike Tyson giving pointers for Francis, maybe John thought that it's going to be a good idea to used this to create more noises on this fight.

Not sure though if fans here are going to bet on the ML for Tyson Fury as it is not worth it.

Maybe others are looking at to what rounds will Fury knocks out Francis Ngannou? The over and under is 5.5 rounds if anyone is curious though. And probably that's where I'm going to put my money on this fight.

I think it going to take less than 5.5 rounds (less than a half of a fight) for Fury to win. Dont know why, but I just dont feel that Ngannou is ready for whole 10 rounds. He isnt used to having long fights. In his mma career he has been knocking guys out in first or second round, while in fights that last longer, he often breathed heavily. Ngannou is ready for explosive attacks, while Fury just flies in the ring. Look at how Ngannou moves. Imho his footwork is no match for Fury. Its either Fury will let promotors and sponsors insert more ads during their round and fight him longer, or Ngannou face going to turn red in second round.

John is full of shit. One week he says he's a fighting man and will fight anyone anywhere then the next day he's saying he's too old and his fighting days are behind him. Mike would kill him. He was never a good boxer and just lives vicariously through his kids.

If Ngannou manages to beat Fury, he will need to do it twice because of a rematch clause.

Tyson will probably have one just in case he loses. It's pretty much standard for the champs to do this these days but just clogs up the division with rematches.

Just put some money on Ngannou getting a KO. I think Tyson will probably win by a ref stoppage or something when Francis gasses out but I think Francis is going to try very hard to KO him early on so it's worth putting something on the upset in my opinion.Francis has won most of his fights by KO and in the first and second rounds so I'm sure that's what he's aiming for here.

Wow after watching this video I realized that Fury is going for an easy ride, check the training video of Ngannou his jabs are fluffy, weak, and slow, his mouth is wide open he is having a hard time pacing himself and there's no lateral movement, he's like a mechanical robot.

All Fury has to do is circle him do a double jabs and tire him then go for the big punch, with how Ngannou throws those telepathic jabs and punches, Fury can easily get away before  Ngannou punches' landed halfway, Fury can easily moved in the other side or angle and counter punch.

Ngannou is also flat-footed so Fury can easily tire him, I don't even know if Mike Tyson teaches him how to hold to defend himself, he is going to do a lot of holding and embracing once Ngannou pour a lot of punches.

Francis Ngannou pad work ahead of Tyson Fury fight

Joshua, Usyk, Wilder and Fury can just keep fighting amongst themselves for several years to come. Any combination of those fighters would be an interesting matchup. It just depends on their motivation and whether they are still capable of taking punches. Wilder and Joshua seem closer to the end but with the amount of money they can make it would be really tempting to continue for a while longer.
I do agree with you that the names are blockbuster attractions that will bring excitement to boxing fans and immense riches to the boxers and their promoters/agents. These are the heavyweight boxers which attract most attention and focus but the moment a younger talented boxer comes on to the scene they will not be able to keep up.

If they want to cement their legacy they have to move on in the right direction by setting up Fury vs Usyk (and probably Wilder vs Joshua too) otherwise boxing fans will lose interest and they will become irrelevant.
