I believe announcing the Fury-Usyk fight in Saudi adds more hype to this fight. If they want more hype, Bob Arum should've tried to put a Mexican or a Latino in the undercard to cater to their huge boxing community.

The Saudis don't have much experience in promoting major boxing events. They are more familiar with entertainment. This fight is being marketed more for a casual audience than die hard boxing fans. That's why they made it part of the Riyadh Season festival. The card might not be the most appealing but people will still watch it for the same reasons they watch Jake Paul fights.

Yes, and that's why promoters like Bob Arum's Top Rank and Eddie Hearn's Match Room are in the desert promoting those events in Middle East or specifically Saudi Arabia. Because there's a lot of money out there obviously and saw this boxing promoters have somewhat 'exploited' the riches of that country.

So still a win win for us boxing fans, regardless for the Saudi's that this is just entertainment for them because they have a lot of money to burn and just why not boxing for their population?

Bob Arum and Frank Warren are the ones handling this event but it seems like the Saudis are the ones demanding a set of explosive undercards. After the AJ-Ruiz II, Usyk-AJ II, and Fury-Paul went into the distance without knockdowns, the Saudis and the tourists are now treated with knockout artists fighting in the undercards. With the amount of money the Saudis are spending, they could've gotten more exciting fighters like a world title fight in the undercard or some top 10 fighters facing each other. But as @FinneysTrueVision mentioned, this event is more focused on the casuals as its targeted market.

And this is the very reason, they have a lot of money, and then want to be entertained. And what's more than boxing itself. Although I must admit that in the beginning when there are fights being held there, I thought it was a bad idea because of the time zone I guess and there's no boxing fans in that part of the globe. But it turns out to be a good idea for boxing, as the Saudi's allowed boxers to fight in their country and of course they are getting entertained and the promoters and boxers are getting paid handsomely. So it's a win win situation, and maybe in the next coming years we might see some boxers as well coming from Saudi Arabia and becoming a world champion.

So it's a win win situation, and maybe in the next coming years we might see some boxers as well coming from Saudi Arabia and becoming a world champion.

the day of the fight is approaching, something that keeps me wondering as I hear that some sporting event is going to take place in some Arab country like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai and that in these countries the laws are based on religion, they are extremely strict when it comes to to enforce their laws, and hardly forgive any offender, and without wanting to stay here judging the fighters' behavior, many of the fighters have bad behavior in their daily lives, things like a lot of sex with a lot of women, a lot of alcohol consumption, nightlife in bars and restaurants, casinos are the lifestyle of many fighters, especially using bad words like "fuck".

So I'm wondering how these fighters will behave in Saudi Arabia? because from what I saw on TV and in many newspapers, in many hotels there are even prostitutes ready to serve rich men, and the fighters after the fights really liked to stay in luxury hotels that have this type of services, that is, after the fight. fight, the guys drink a lot and hang out with a lot of prostitutes in hotels. So do they also have an exception in Saudi Arabia and allow this?

According to google and several other sources, prostitution in Saudi Arabia is a crime punishable by imprisonment, so my opinion is the following: even though the Arabs pay well for these fights, I still don't see how their customs will adapt to the the customs of most fighters, I honestly wonder how long it will take organizing these fights in Saudi Arabia before something goes wrong

Honestly, I am more accustomed to the events being held in Las Vegas than having them in Saudi or England because of my time zone conflict, I missed some of the top fights like the Ruiz - Joshua 2 match but I'm not going to miss this match even if I wake up in the early mornings, so much is at stake on this fight you want to be there to see how it happen.

Personally, it doesn't really matter to me what time it is in my timezone; if there's a free live stream available, I'll definitely be tuning in to watch the fight. Especially for those big matchups that I just can't afford to miss because there's something about watching it live that adds to the excitement, far beyond just catching the highlights. The fight is creeping closer, and Ngannou seems super prepared, while Fury, well, he always looks pretty relaxed, but we all know he's in top shape even if he doesn't necessarily look like it.

So far I never missed any of Fury's recent fights it's hard to miss it especially if it involves a big name like the Wilder fights and now this Ngannou fight, especially this fight because Ngannou is the badest man in the other arena, it is fun to watch fury you can't underestimate the guy even if he looks out of shape.

Well, we always see him look out of shape in all of his very important fights, their face-off looks unusual a muscle guy looks down on a guy who looks out of shape but looks is really deceiving the fighter who looks out of shape will knock out the guy who is well toned.

His opponent shouldn't underestimate him when he shows that huge fat and sluggish movement every time he trains because the truth of the matter is, his techniques and skills are some of the most lethal weapons in heavyweight that outsmart his opponent every time he gets in the ring. I think Ngannou has already known this and he is training more than him to beat him in his own game because this is a life-changing opportunity for Ngannou since he left UFC and he could never get some unique opportunity like this if Fury declined the offer.

Have you seen Fury vs Ngannou recent promo ? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyIKXXMNol9/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA. Looks awesome. Funny how both agreed to make this more fun than serious.
Find myself thinking that I am excited to watch this fight. Previously I was kinda confusing about their challenge, but now I cant wait to see how Ngannou gonna perform in boxing. How he managed to switch from MMA base to pure boxing.

They just released pay-per-view price for Fury vs Ngannou and you can watch it for $79.99 on ESPN+ and other pay-per-view providers.
Some people complain price is high, but this is similar what people usually pay for some UFC events, so it is not bad, but I am sure there will be other ways to watch this fight live or as recording later.
I am setting my reminder in calendar for October 28. 🥊

I think odds are dropping on Fury:

That price might sound pretty high to some individuals, but it's not really meant for everyone, especially in places where illegal streaming is more common. If you're in the US, the EU, or other developed countries, the cost might not seem so bad. And when you've got a really exciting showdown between fighters, it kinda justifies the price, you know? It's like when Mayweather fought McGregor, and the PPV was almost a hundred bucks, but did individuals really gripe about that?

Yeah, I think it's not that bad price though, the Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis fight peg the price of PPV at $84.99 if I'm not mistaken. It is huge price, but guess what, it is the highest PPV sales for this year. Which means that if fans are intrigue by the match up, they are willing to pay that much to see in PPV or even in live.

So just like in this fight, although for boxing fans we might see Fury winning here, there could be still who thinks that Francis can win with his big and power punches. And with Mike Tyson training him and we have seen a lot of video circulating with Francis and Mike Tyson, for sure there could still be hype around this fight and so there are fans that's willing to pay that huge PPV price.

Ok, it's Warren and Bob Arum at the helm of this fight. But what I'm seeing is that Eddie Hearn too has performed in the Middle East and it seems that he has a lot of close friends as well, very influential and rich Saudi willing to host those fights specially HW.

Maybe what the Saudi's want is to be entertained and they only know HW boxers for that matter. But if this big promoters can set up fights like in the welterweight division, which is again one of the best weight classes we have, then sooner or later every big fights are going to be held in the ME and it will make more money to this promoters and boxers are going to be paid what they asked for.

That's one fun and eye catching promotional video. It emphasizes the intensity of the heavy weight fighters punch, of course in a funny way. Though even without this promotional video, their names could be enough to gather the attention of both boxing and MMA fans.
This is indeed an exciting match as Ngannou has a background in boxing, only thing I am worried about is whether his stamina can keep up against a pure pro boxer like Fury. This has been the issue for most of the MMA fighters stepping into the boxing ring.

That's a pretty unique approach. I initially thought the theme would revolve around Fury's eating habits, while Ngannou stays dedicated to his training. That would've been fun too. You can tell this fight is no joke; they're really going all in with the promotion. And with the way the PPV rates are going, I'm guessing both of them will make a pretty decent income from all the promotional work they're doing.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/fury-tyson-v-ngannou-francis-64ad95be3c9b7eafa4377281

The price is just enough for promotors to earn and boxers get their paycheque  Grin

There are also going to be some fights that night:

David Adeleye vs Fabio Wardley
Joseph Parker vs Simon Kean
Martin Bakole vs Carlos Takam
Arslanbek Makhmudov vs Agron Smakici
Moses Itauma vs TBC

I am only familiar with Joseph Parker. He is the guy that it would be worth spending 80 bucks on an event. On the other hand, this looks like to be the most expensive non-title fight if we take PPV price and fighters prize money. Btw, it cost around 35 bucks to watch Fury vs Chisora 3 in 2022 Cheesy

There is zero way Ngannou underestimates Big Belly. It is actually Fury who is underestimating Ngannou by laughing and making jokes. The way Tyson Fury signed the Usyk unification fight means he is looking at Ngannou like a nuisance. Even the Saudis, Top Rank, Warren, ESPN, and the Usyk team have no respect for Ngannou's chances of winning by continuing their negotiations and even finalizing the deal before this fight happens.

Nonetheless, I still wish that Ngannou would shock the world by landing his deadly hooks and putting Big Belly to sleep. Cheesy

They both underestimate each other, Ngannou on Fury's belly and Fury on Ngannou's skill let's see who will laugh last in their coming fight, it's a big mockery for Ngannou that their fight is not yet happen but Fury already had a contract to fight Usyk, I think this will fuel Ngannou's desire to beat Fury.

Everybody is underestimating Ngannou, the press, and the boxing community if ever, Ngannou beat Fury it would be the biggest upset in boxing and this will catapult Ngannou's popularity in boxing and that means more money coming in.

Cheesy

When you take a good look at the two fighters, there's a noticeable contrast, and Ngannou appears to have a dominant presence. However, when you dig into their records, Fury consistently holds the upper hand against a non-professional boxer. This isn't to diminish Ngannou's skills, but let's be real here - my personal take is that Ngannou might be a bit overhyped.

Of course, Ngannou will be overhyped by the promoters of this event to mislead the casuals. It's business for them so they need to market it like it is the real deal and that Ngannou is a monster with a vicious knockout punch looking to endanger the undefeated and defending champion Tyson Fury. It's even funny there are promotional images where Fury is dressed as a king but he looked slimmer than the real Fury. Cheesy

I actually thought that putting Tyson Fury's dad in the undercard against any celebrity would make this event big. That old man knows how to market a fight. Here is a short video where he smashed Tommy Fury-KSI and Logan Paul-Dennis Dillon's press conference by flipping and kicking the tables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz276erTAVI:D Cheesy Cheesy
