Bologna is a small club while Juventus is a big club, a most successful club in Serie A. Thiago Motta successfully built up a good and competitive team in Bologna with limited budget and he did it within only 2 seasons. That success brought him to Juventus where he will face with bigger challenge as this is a biggest coach position he takes so far.

Thiago Motta has a successful player career through which he worked with many great coaches and possibly he learned many helpful management things from these coaches like Mourinho, Prandelli to Ancelotti. His success in Boglona proved it and I hope Thiago will continue this path in Juventus.
That's definitely going to be a tough one, doing what he did with Bologna will not be enough for Juventus, they have to realize that it's either the title or a bust. I know that Motta will try his very best to make sure that it works, but at the same time it is not going to be that easy at all, we are going to face some issues when trying to do that. This is why I believe that we are going to see some issues with this, because Juventus could be a good team, but the squad doesn't seem good enough to win the title, and while Motta seems like a good coach, I do not think that he will be capable of closing up that gap that easily.

There is a possibility that he could just end up with nothing at all. He could finish the league like lets say third place, and that will not be considered good at all.

I believe that we are going to see some issues with Motta having trouble with some players too, because it may not fit his system that well, we need to make sure that it could get different in the end. We need to consider how we could make it work, we need to make sure of that. This will of course not be that easy, we need to make sure that it's all going according to plan and could make some good results for Juventus.

Thiago Motta now has more opportunities and there are high expectations for him. It is not easy to come to a new club and succeed here. He has gained from the experience of many coaches and he needs a good squad to use this experience. I think Thiago Motta will be successful if he is given a good squad.

It is not easy to be successful in the Italian league, but it is not impossible. That's why I'm curious to see what Thiago Motta can do at Juventus this season. I think Thiago Motta will get the best out of the players he has.

Will selling Osimhen cover all the crisis Napoli is experiencing? Even that is not enough to cover up the problems that Napoli has, it is quite surprising to hear this news but like it or not, Napoli has to do something, apart from selling Osimhen to a big club, no matter what price Napoli will charge, at least Napoli has the money saved to get him. an even more valuable player like Osimhen..

President De Laurentis needs to lower the asking price of Victor osimhen so he can go elsewhere to continue playing. Napoli not selling him this summer is going to be a problem next season for him as they might not be capable of selling him again as high as they'll get as he is constantly declining. He didn't perform as expected last season and hasn't been doing very well for his country too. PSG is a great destination for Victor Osimhen and they will not be selling him to a direct competitor therefore I don't understand why the deal hasn't gone through yet. Lukaku will do very well under Conte therefore it is going to be a win situation for every party.

I personally still think Juventus have had a good squad in the Allegri era, especially when Juventus managed to bring in Vlahovic from Fiorentina and also Milik from Marseille. But unfortunately, Allegri failed to make Juventus better, and also the case that befell Juventus might make him also fail to focus on improving Juventus performance in his coaching era. Because anyway, when Vlahovic and Milik were successfully obtained by Juventus, at least many observers also predicted that Juventus would be able to get the Scudetto at that time.

But anyway, what happened Juventus still failed and entered the next season Juventus also managed to appoint Thiago Motta to be the head coach of Juventus. Of course, with Thiago Motta's success in making Bologna have good results last season will be a great hope that Thiago Motta will also succeed in making Juventus back into a team that has dominance in Serie A. Because after all, basically Juventus already has players with great potential and thus, it should not be difficult for Thiago Motta to make Juventus better.

Yes, I also think that Allegri didn't do too much harm, in fact I don't understand all the accusations rained down on him.  We had many misfortunes, punishments, injuries and in any case he kept the team going.  In my opinion he was treated too badly by everyone and he didn't deserve it.
Now I hope Thiago Motta makes fireworks!

Even Saudi Arabia is said like an option for Osimhen lately. I would never want to see him going there at this age.  Sad  He is still very young for that. I know there are young and known European players preferring to go there instead. For example Saint-Maximin played for 1 year and now he is back in Europe. However he is on loan now.

I believe that Osimhen is a special striker. He deserves to play for a big European team. De Laurentiis shouldn't be stubborn. Otherwise he might even have to lose him for free in case he stays this summer.

Exactly good, well said.  Which obviously our dearest president De Laurentis hasn't understood or doesn't want to understand.
He would like to dictate the law not only with the coaches but also with the market, which is obviously absolutely not feasible.
He tries, failing and doing a lot of damage.

I would say that you are both right and wrong. I think he was worthy of getting sacked, Motta seems like a better manager so when you find a better manager, you end up sacking your current one and getting a new one. That is the part where you are wrong, he wasn't good enough to keep the job, he wasn't good enough, and him leaving is fine, I agree with that part.

However, what I agree with is the fact that he was "attacked" too much, from fans, from media, from social media, even from management. He didn't deserve that much neither, it has to be something in between, like "we thank Allegri for all he did, and we wish him the best in the future" type of parting ways. If they did that, then it would have been a lot better and we wouldn't really face any issues.

In the end, he is gone, and Motta is here, so they should learn from their mistakes and shouldn't treat Motta this way as well, keep him happy because he is your manager. Just constantly complaining and whining about the manager doesn't make anything better, a manager seeing all of those doesn't suddenly become better, just cheer him on, and tell him you expect great things and he will be hyped and happy, which will make him win more games.

Thiago Motta is a potential young coach for any big club after achieving impressive results with a small club like Bologna. It takes time for Motta to work more, improve himself and show his ability at big clubs, start with Juventus. Some young coaches succeed in small clubs but later fail with big clubs like Andre Villa-Boas, Frank Lampard but Motta will not have to fear about anything. Trust himself, work hard, and move on with Juventus next season.

Yes, I also think that Allegri didn't do too much harm, in fact I don't understand all the accusations rained down on him.  We had many misfortunes, punishments, injuries and in any case he kept the team going.  In my opinion he was treated too badly by everyone and he didn't deserve it.

Allegri was treated unfair even he failed to win titles with Juventus in his second term there. It's quite normal in football like we can see nearly the same thing and bad treatment of the club on their coach in Barcelona. They got big problems, poor performances, crisis before they got Xavi as their head coach. He helped them to win La Liga but after all, they wanted more and stopped working with Xavi.

There is difference but the similarity is bad treatment of clubs on coaches who helped them to gain acceptable results and temporary ended crises in these clubs. Being too greedy and over requiring more, sometimes they will succeed with more success from new coaches but sometimes they will fail and gain worse results with new coaches. We will see how Barcelona and Juventus gain with Flick and Motta next season.

I do hope the same because years are passing by and Osimhen needs to find another team to level up his game because if he stays at Napoli I doubt they will create a winning team around him or even fight for Serie A championship.

It will not be easy for Saudi Arabian clubs to recruit Oshimen because I am sure this player does not want to play in the Middle East, he still wants to pursue his career in football as a European star player, especially since there are still many things that Oshimen has not achieved such as the individual Ballon d'Or title and also the Champions League title, he definitely wants to feel it if he continues his career in Saudi Arabia then his struggles so far will be in vain, he just needs to be patient in Napoli waiting for a top club that is willing to recruit him.

Oshimen's contract at Napoli still has 2 years left so if Oshimen is not sold this season there is still a chance next season for Napoli to sell him but of course the price will drop and that makes it easier for other clubs to buy him, be it Arsenal, PSG or Chelsea.

Victor Osimhen is a young player, I don't see why he should go and play in the Saudi championship now, it doesn't make sense.
It's not a problem of money now, but a problem of career and titles, the boy rightly wants to win something before retiring for the last few years to make money in Saudiland.

I agree with that. Allegri wasn't a bad coach for Juventus. How could a manager who lifted Serie A trophies 5 times with the same club be a bad one?  It doesn't make sense at all honestly. Sad

He was in an unlucky time period this time. He dealt with serious injury problems and he didn't have good amount of money to sign new players to make the team stronger too. What could he do more in this situation?

Motta is lucky now. He has a good budget to make signings. He looks like a promising young coach at the same time. This makes me hopeful about him but we will see. Being prejudiced wouldn't be wise.  Grin

I need to clarify, I'm happy that we took Thiago Motta as coach, I find him promising.  Exactly as you say, however, there was an unprecedented attack from everyone towards Allegri who, in my opinion, did his duty well with what he had at his disposal.  Let's remember two seasons ago the miracles he worked with a team full of injured players.
I say, ok it would have been changed in any case, but I didn't like the way, Allegri didn't deserve it.

Grin

He definitely looks promising. And it also feels like the problems that Juventus were facing are going to be behind them from the upcoming season. Hopefully they will be able to bring good results. I understand that a lot of people think Allegri has been able to win the league title with Juventus many times and that’s why he cannot be a bad coach.

Actually, we also have to understand that a coach is not going to be able to bring in the same results always. Same tactics or same coach with even different tactics might not work for very long period of time. Probably that’s what has happened with him. But that is in the past. Juventus will have to look at the future now. And the future does look very exciting. But a big challenge for Juventus is going to be keeping all the players healthy. Since they phase injury problems very frequently.

Dean Hujsen is shown like he is a "defensive prospect" for Juventus but set to sign for Bournemouth on the other hand. Even for only 18 million euros. How much do you know about him? I hope they aren't losing an important talent.

Juventus needs every single skilled player as of now. They are in a new era with Motta. If Hujsen is also skilled for real then they should loan him the most, not sell him permanently. There are so many centre-backs in their squad of course. Maybe the player also wants to leave because of thinking he wouldn't find much chance in the near future. Maybe after gaining some experience in the Premier League he would return to Italy stronger.  Smiley

Juventus has a bad habit lately to sell great defenders right ? We all remember how they had Dragusin ( now Spurs players ) on their academy and simply let him go to Genoa where he developed massively in just half a year and then they sold him to Spurs for quite amount of money + Bayern were also on the line to transfer him but he chose Spurs. So yea , let's hope they didn't make a huge mistake and the kid will be able to develop in Premier League and catch a big transfer next year for a top 4 team in Premier League.

In recent years, you may have noticed that Juventus' results have not been the best.  You may have noticed that in two years we have accomplished nothing or won anything.  If a team like this doesn't win and monetize, it practically dies and goes bankrupt.
We need a change of mentality to fix things: Thiago Motta.

He really looks super young, he has the face of a little boy here.  Exactly if they want to chase away the old era they have to target young talents while also trying not to ruin them, it doesn't take much to ruin a young man permanently (if you remember Balotelli the teams ruined him, namely Inter)

Still I don't see another centre-forward speculation on Milan's agenda, interesting. I guess they are thinking of creating a duo with Morata and Jovic then? Morata had better not be the only forward ahead. He isn't good with that responsibility.  Sad

Giroud's contribution to the team has been enormous until now. He was great last season too and now he has left. Milan needs to make their plans accordingly not to get less productive.

By the way it is sad to see De Ketelaere leaving Milan by not contributing properly. He is actually a talented midfielder but I guess he had problems on adapting to Milan. Because he was great at Atalanta last season which must be why they wanted to make the deal permanent.  Smiley

For most people betting on friendly matches is something absolutely crazy but I couldn't resist when I saw the tempting odds. Cheesy

Napoli win
Bologna win
Torino lose or draw

This is a short prediction from me because we can't see how much the chance of victory is like this but in my opinion the option I choose will provide a decent profit for me.
We can see the previous performance of Napoli and Bologna who always scored more than 2 goals in every friendly match and for Torino actually their performance is almost equal to Lyon and anyone can choose both clubs to score to get odds @1.47

--cut--

Milan AC is strangely silent in this signing season, I'm not really understanding their strategy in this regard, it seems like they're keeping everything a secret.  I don't understand why but that's okay.  Of course I agree with you on Morata, we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
