Pakistan were favorites early on, and they performed well in the first few matches. But now, it looks as if they have run out of steam. Their pace attack was feared by everyone, but with injuries to Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, it is not as threatening as it was before. But that doesn't mean that Sri Lanka are the overwhelming favorites. As we saw yesterday, they wasted a very good chance to defeat India. The target was very small (214), but the Indian spinners (especially Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja) made life really difficult for the Lankan batsmen.

Absolutely Right at Start of Asia Cup and first win against Nepal Pakistan is favourite to win this Asia cup but after A big defeat against India by 228 runs India is favourite to win this Asia Cup. No doubt Pakistan has best pace attack in the world but after two main fast bowlers injured  Naseem Shah ruled out of Asia Cup 2023 and Haris Rouf ruled out match against Sirlinka. I think Zaman Khan will replaces Naseem Shah in playing 11 against Sirlinka. The tomorrow match between Sirlanka and Pakistan is Semi final winner team will qualify for Final and face India in Final of Asia Cup.

Chahal is not in the WC squad anyway. All this monkey balancing (in a good way) is going on because of batting depth and also 3 front-line seamers don't make sense in the Indian conditions. 

Bumrah+Siraj(Shami based on form)+ 2 seam allrounder Hardik +Thakur + 1 spin all rounder Jadeja + Kuldeep combination when pitch is fast, like Wankede or Dharamshala.

Leave Thakur out and add spin allrounder Axar into the playing XI when a pitch is spin friendly (Axar+Jadeja+Kuldeep+Hardik+ 2 seamers). We will witness the same pattern in WC.

This combination sounds good. But then, Bumrah needs to be fit. In case Bumrah gets injured, then the equilibrium will get disrupted. I guess in that case the seam combination would be Siraj+Shami+Hardik+Thakur. Anywaym the team balance looks good, with the presence of so many allrounders. Seam-bowling allrounders were always a rarity in Indian cricket, but now there are two of them - Hardik and Shardul. And then Venkatesh Iyer is waiting in the sidelines. For spin-bowling allrounders there was never any scarcity.

I have a different opinion on this. I would rather say that a potential injury to Bumrah will not be much damaging for India's prospects. Bumrah can be replaced with Shami. He may not be as quick as Bumrah, but he is also a wicket taker. And if multiple bowlers get injured, then there is a good backup strength in the form of Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan. Right now, India should not be bothered about some of their players getting injured and becoming unavailable to play. The team balance is looking really good at this point.

Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan
The last match of Super Four, Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, is going to be the most interesting game in this match. Today's match is going to be exciting for Sri Lanka but very sad for Pakistan as they might have to exit the Asia Cup today. Today's match though Pakistan is most likely to win but still Pakistan will not go to the final, to go to the final they must beat Sri Lanka by a huge margin which is never possible. If Pakistan somehow wins today's match, they will be knocked out of Asia Cup and Sri Lanka will go to the final, and Pakistan will have to beat Sri Lanka by a huge margin to make it to the final. Today will be a great fight between the two teams. If Pakistan can bat well in today's match, then it is possible to beat Sri Lanka, but there will probably not be many in the final. In the match Pakistan's NNR is -1.892 and on the other hand Sri Lanka's -0.200 so if Pakistan win against Sri Lanka today then they will have to beat Sri Lanka by a huge margin to make it to the final, but I don't think it will be possible.

The team that will win the toss today would be batting first. As early in the day this pitch does help the batters and later on it becomes spin friendly.

Dunith Wellalage and Shadab Khan are the players to look forward today. Both are good spinners and have the ability to bat. I am still not aware whether Naseem Shah will be playing today. If not then it would be another blow to the Pakistani bowling attack. Hoping to see another thrilling match today.

I can understand what you are saying about Wellalage, but Shadab Khan? He is the primary reason why Pakistan lost to India. Pakistani spinners were completely out of sorts and the Indian batsmen treated them like club bowlers. I don't understand why it is so hard for Pakistan to find quality spinners from their domestic setup. This is the same country that once produced legendary spinners like Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed and Danish Kaneria. Even Shoaib Malik and Yasir Shah were good, but now they have ordinary spinners like Shadab Khan.

I see no need to focus on Nrr in the match today. Because both Sri Lanka and Pakistan teams played 2 matches of Super Four and won 1 each. Both teams have 2 points, the team that wins today will have a total of 4 points. The team that wins the match today will directly play in the final. If Pakistan's Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf are missing in today's match then it will be difficult for Pakistan to win the match. Today's match is a do or die match for both teams. The game will be really interesting and competitive game today.

It's a really crucial match for both team because victories team will be quiality for next stage and loser will be eliminated, it's really high pressure match for Pakistan because they already has insufficient quality player due to injury which will really impact thier results, but we can hope that paksitan has always dominance over them and recently they won series too on thier home ground with most of thier player were same so we can expect that they will delivered same as our expectations. Let see how Pakistani new player can make difference at such a high pressure game.

I think you are underestimating a quality all rounder like shadab no doubt he has bad performance against India but you can't ignore his previous best performance for behalf of single match performance, most of the time he took important wickets for Pakistan and show his class and I am sure that he will comback stronger and will shut mouth of all haters, it's true every player has bad time but it has limit and soon it will over and he will again shine like a star

It is plain and simple. The difference in run rate is so great, and in case Pakistan want to qualify, then they need to defeat Sri Lanka. There is no other way for them to qualify. Yes, you are right. Sri Lankan run rate is better than Pakistan and Sri Lanka is in good position. And it can beat Pakistan . If Pakistan win only by few runs,then chances to qualify for Pakistan are least. But if Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by a huge runs, Pakistan will qualify for final. India is in final and India is a strongest side. So Let's see what happens. SriLankan players are in form, it is hard for Pakistan to beat Sri Lanka with high Marin.
