They are indeed 4 points behind, but they still have 1 match ahead of Leverkusen, assuming they can win that 1 match, then they will reduce the gap to 1 point, it is a very tight distance that can change in just 1 match.
I have no doubt that Bayern Munich will be able to continue to press and overshadow Leverkusen, but I still have concerns about Leverkusen. Not underestimating them, because the closer to the end of the season, the greater the pressure they will get. I like your opinion on this because in reality Milan and Roma do not have as strong a performance as Liverpool and Leverkusen even though we are too early to speculate but we are here to say about the fact that Milan and Roma's chances are very small if they only use ordinary performance because of Liverpool and Leverkusen is currently in a very strong condition and if they really want to compete with these two strongest clubs, Roma or Milan should show a slightly more consistent performance but it is difficult to appear consistent even in the domestic league. It is worse that what you mentioned here. It is not only one or two of their key players. Leverkusen is quite unlucky about all the players that have to leave the team for the African Cup. I think it is a handful of players, maybe five or six and all of them are important. This is really not the best timing for Leverkusen as they have had a wild ride during the first half of the season. I am curious to see how Leverkusen will cope with this situation, but if they can handle this, I think they are ready to handle all the problems they could be facing during the season.

Jose Mourinho was able to guide them to the final of the competition last season before they were beaten by Seville in the final and I think if they continue to perform to their full strength, they can still reach the final again this season.

These two teams are really being taken into account this season because both Leverkusen and Liverpool are equally strong this season. That's true, Xabi tries not to be arrogant about their current performance, and I think the way he conveys this opinion is very diplomatic for every listener to interpret. As a manager, apart from focusing on the development of his squad, Xabi is also required to manage the players self confidence well, so that they don't get too big headed when they receive praise that makes them complacent.

I think that in the European League, Leverkusen status as the favorite team to win is unshakeable, because we have seen their impressive performance by being unbeaten so far. Right, I agree with what you said. in football it is not only based on data and statistics. both on paper, and theoretically. in the end, the final result is determined when the match is held. moreover, the two teams only had two meetings to advance to the next phase, the team that is the most prepared and consistent has the potential to advance to the next round. however, if one of the players underperforms. or let's say one of them makes a mistake, then the result can have a big impact on the team.
for now, Liverpool and Leverkusen are the favorite teams. however, when these two teams play the match, it is possible that they will be defeated by the Underdog team. there are many factors that cause this, it could be because several players are injured, tight schedules and luck.

In football luck do happen at times but a teams performance is vividly centered at the ability of the teammates to understand each other and bring forth their best in other to achieve a favourable result and it's also dependent on the qualities of players such a club has like if you take a look at some of the bigger teams like, Manchester city, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and others you will observe that they do excellently well as a result of the tactical and quality players each club has so players quality also improves club's performance. Injury also is a factor that affects club's performance because when some of the key players are injured the club normally finds it difficult for a replacement that will suit such a position.

If only the goal difference had been greater, Milan might have been able to qualify for the round of 16, but it turned out that Milan had to end up in the play-off round of the European League. But I think Milan can get through this play-off round and enter the last 16 because their opponents are not too tough.

Roma has a coach who is very experienced in his field even though Roma is not very consistent in the domestic league but Roma is still quite stable in the European league, it's just that he is unlucky because he has to repeat himself in the play off round like last season, but I am quite sure that Roma can qualify in this round because it looks like Jose Mourinho has prepare a good strategy to break his opponent.
