I also would have thought Liverpool will win the quarterfinals against Atalanta even after conceding three goals in the first leg of the game. They were the better team and a comeback wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone at this stage in football again. But it has to be put into perspective now, seriously! Yes, I was as shocked as everyone else when Liverpool lost that game at home 0-3 against Atalanta. But look at their development after the landslide victory against Sparta (6-1).

They lost in the FA Cup against Manchester United, first title gone. They then had 2 ok wins against Brighton and Sheffield, which was nothing impressive, but still ok and important. In this competition, AS Roma is Leverkusen's opponent in the semifinals of the Europa League. as I often said in previous posts, these two teams met again in the semifinals like last season.

Well, I don't see any changes occurring due to the matches played by the two teams in their respective domestic competitions. whether it's Leverkusen drawing against Dortmund, or Roma losing to Bologna. In fact, if we refer to the available odds, there is no change regarding the odds even temporarily. Leverkusen remains the favourite, but has quite an ideal opportunity. meanwhile, AS Roma has slightly higher odds because Leverkusen is superior. even though the first leg match will be held at home to Roma, in terms of consistency throughout this season, Leverkusen is better than the opposing team.  We all thought UEL would be fair enough to make an encounter between Leverkusen and Liverpool but we also forgot that football can't always be as it seems as Liverpool, the big team who were projected to stay longer in tbe contest were eliminated by a smaller team who really stands little chance to bring down Leverkusen if peradventure they get to go up against each other in the final game.

 This weekend, Leverkusen would still definitely maintain their unbeaten track record and 99.9% still uphold this record in the domestic league till the season runs out and for their UEL race, the chances to maintain the records are still feasible. Truthfully, so far this season, Leverkusen have been remarkable and they're a team that the football community is proud of.

The Roma vs Bayern Leverkusen match in the semifinals should be the most interesting match to watch, both teams are just a better fit for each other and will give each other a very tough time before a winner is decided in that match.
