https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-conviction-countries-banned-canada-uk-b2555313.html Donald Trump’s felony conviction now means he’s banned from a host of countries including Canada and UK
There are 37 countries that bar felons from entering, even to visit.
So, how does this work for international relations then? Trump is still a felon even if he wins the elections or tries some "me pardons me" manoeuvre of shorts? In theory, many say that he cannot pardon himself for state crimes, such as the one in NY for campaign fraud. This is going to be an interesting situation - many countries will simply say no to him entering. Donald J. Trump is now a felon in New York State, and presidential pardon power does not extend to state cases Full list of countries that restrict visits from felons Argentina Australia Brazil Cambodia Canada Chile China Cuba Dominican Republic Egypt Ethiopia Hong Kong India Indonesia Iran Ireland Israel Japan Kenya Malaysia Macau Mexico Morocco Nepal New Zealand Peru Philippines Singapore South Africa South Korea Taiwan Tanzania Tunisia Turkey Ukraine United Arab Emirates United Kingdom But not Ruzzia, that is good news for Putin, as he can go there to get his cheques.

While Trump can't pardon himself from this, supreme court could complicate things and just end democracy in US as we know it. And those muppets in US have some weird enough ideas to keep rest of us on our toes. I just watched that new "Civil war" (movie), and honestly, as horrible as it was, it was something everyone is secretly just waiting. Hopefully it won't come to that. But if it comes, i would find it kind of liberating that rogue wanna be dictators like trump might split the country instead of ruling it. Next to watch is "The Apprentice" biopic, that trump team tries to block. Freedom of speech doesn't mean anything to them.

Next to watch is "The Apprentice" biopic, that trump team tries to block. Freedom of speech doesn't mean anything to them. Of course, at a certain point Trump may be able to do nearly anything. He is already filtering a number of Civil Servants that will be removed (e.g. someone who posted a pro-democrat stuff in their Facebook) to be replaced to pre-selected people who will not oppose to even his wildest dreams. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/12/20/trump-civil-service-00132459These days, though, Stier is increasingly preoccupied with what he sees as a fundamental threat to that work: former President Donald Trump’s sweeping proposal to convert thousands of career civil servants into political appointees if he wins a second term in the White House. That plan — which has won the support of powerful, Trump-aligned conservative think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation and the America First Policy Institute — is modeled on an executive order from Trump’s first term that redesignated 20,000 civil servants in policy-related positions as “Schedule F” employees, thereby allowing them to be fired unilaterally by the president. There is a good reason why the Civil Service is not dependent of the flavour of the moment in most countries in the world. You need a state to have a state. The trials are the occasion to at least show him for what he is.

His whole "fire all the federal employees, dismantle the FBI, independent agencies will follow my every order" can be translated as "I'm going to try to destroy the country". I don't think it would be as easy as he thinks, and I know they are already implementing policies to make it even harder...but you really have to be quite ignorant to think his plan is a good one. Even from Trumps view, sure the first few months might be fun, but it won't be long before things just stop working and the crisis' start stacking up. There are republicans that have been calling to abolish the IRS for years ffs...it's like they can't think one step past "i dont like taxes".

He has to publicly maintain the opposite version that he has to deliver to the officer. Wonder how he responded when asked "have you recently associated or do you plan on associating with any convicted felons or anyone that has been charged with a felony awaiting trial?" Also how ironic is it that after all these years of constantly talking about Hunter Biden, the day he's convicted it actually doesn't make sense politically to mention him since it contradicts the current false narrative being pushed. "Don't vote for Biden, his son is a felon!!!!!" lol Even saying "The Biden Crime Family" doesn't work anymore.

There seems to be news related to Trump's claims of "being immune from any prosecution while in office". The Court has agreed that he is immune when in official acts. However he is not if unofficial. Now it is for the lower court to decide what were official acts and which ones were not. While this confers a degree of victory to Trump, he also get a way in which he can be prosecuted. This means that any future president - as long as acting in his official capacity could very well kill his political opponents. I suggest that given this ruling, Biden could in his official capacity, order the SEALs to kill Trump... you know... official acts so ok... https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-supreme-court-due-rule-trumps-immunity-bid-blockbuster-case-2024-07-01/The justices, in a 6-3 ruling written by Chief Justice John Roberts, threw out a lower court's decision that had rejected Trump's claim of immunity from federal criminal charges involving his efforts to undo his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden. The six conservative justices were in the majority. Its three liberals dissented. So, from now on it is absolutely OK for any president to send a murderous mob to the Capitol or the Congress... it is all fine, just do it.A lawyer for his office told the Supreme Court during arguments that the "absolute immunity" sought by Trump would shield presidents from criminal liability for bribery, treason, sedition, murder and, as in this case, trying to overturn the proper results of an election and stay in power. I wonder what the Supreme Court is fuc**ing thinking. The court analyzed four categories of conduct contained in Trump's indictment. They are: his discussions with Justice Department officials following the 2020 election; his alleged pressure on then-Vice President Mike Pence to block congressional certification of Biden's election win; his alleged role in assembling fake pro-Trump electors to be used in the certification process; and his conduct related to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters. The court found Trump was absolutely immune for conversations with Justice Department officials. Trump is also "presumptively immune" regarding his interactions with Pence, it decided, but returned that and the two other categories to lower courts to determine whether Trump has immunity. So it is OK to plot to overturn an election and not certifying the new president.

Or he could just plan on having Kamala count some fake electors and ignore the real ones if he needs any electoral votes to secure second term so that the country (and Trump) can get the trials they deserve. Actually, even if Biden does win legitimately, why not just have Kamala give Biden the electors she prefers from....Texas, Florida, and maybe Mississippi or something for the lulz. Won't even need to attack a bunch of cops and break into the capital.

These judges gift to America is to create a dictatorship - which seems to be ok with large sectors of America. The only reason why the Presidency can have huge powers to act is precisely because it is well determined what falls outside that range of powers. Now a President can exceed these at leisure knowing that there is little chance of having to pay for it.

Trump is gradually pulling out of further accusations, even though it looks like he is being accused further. NEW: Judge Chutkan Issues Highly Unusual Saturday Order, Sets August 16 Hearing in Jack Smith’s DC Case Against Trump https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/08/judge-chutkan-sets-august-16-hearing/Jack Smith's January 6 case against President Trump is now back with Judge Tanya Chutkan following the Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling. The Supreme Court last month ruled 6-3 that Trump has absolute immunity for his core Constitutional powers. Former presidents are entitled to at least a presumption of immunity for their official acts, according to the Supreme Court. The case was sent back to the DC Appellate Court after the Supreme Court issued a ruling on presidential immunity. Judge Tanya Chutkan issued a highly unusual Saturday order and set a hearing for August 16. ABC News reported: The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's federal election interference case has set a hearing for Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. Trump is not required to attend. This will be the first time in seven months the parties will appear in Judge Tanya Chutkan's courtroom. Chutkan also denied Trump's motion to dismiss the case on statutory grounds. She says they may refile the motion once issues of presidential immunity are resolved. ---------- 🇺🇸Mike Davis 🇺🇸 @mrddmia· Follow DC Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan, after getting reversed by the Supreme Court in one of its most monumental decisions ever, issues a highly unusual Saturday morning order. Chutkan really, really wants Trump in her courtroom--instead of the campaign trail--this fall. Marxist Justice ---------- Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 @julie_kelly2As expected, Judge Chutkan wastes no time in restarting the proceedings in Jack Smith’s J6 case against Donald Trump. She filed this order this morning. Status hearing set for August 16 with status report due this week. Here we go again… ...

Wow, I had no idea there were countries who actually banned felons and people who committed serious crimes from entering to their soil even if their comply with other requirements. I knew there were people who could not travel because their status as HIV positive, but this is a very different thing. Also, it is true what you say, Trump would love to be able to pardon himself, but he won't be able to, that is why he mostly scared of state cases against him, instesd of federal charges. Still, if he managed to get reelected in November, I assume the leaders of those countries which restrict the entrance for felons will somehow make an exception for Trump, or try to hold their official visits in other countries. To me it is more ironic Trump cannot own a gun, being the de facto leader of the pro-gun party of the United States.

That is actually a funny fact yes, you cannot go into the US or become citizen if you have pending convictions or have been convicted of crimes, etc... but it is absolutely ok to become president I honestly thought that the US would never be this divided. The Roman Empire could only fall due to divisions, greed and corruption around the emperors. The Supreme Court has made the President some for short of Tyrant that answers to none and I see some resemblance to Rome's faith.

I though maybe it was all a coverup that he was doing, just so he could fall back on the 'insanity plea' if he was ever charged with stealing an election. But for you to admit that you are the "OP stupid" is simply shocking. I guess I am just too serious about things.

I was wondering, how will Trump look like when he starts the racist speech about all Mexicans being criminals? He is now a convicted criminal. Is he ahead?

It's difficult to tell. data shows a very close race, to close to 50% to even call any result considering the polls margin of error, but yeah, you have described the typical Trump voter base. Then there are those who may choose based on their economy or what they perceive is best for the country and have some degree of thinking. If you want to understand Trump's base, those that do not care about anything just look to this thread and see who is says what and the degree of reasoning that goes behind it.

What will you see when you do this? Well, you won't see Trump. Why not? You will be too shocked at the cruelty of the Dems to see much of anything for a while. Once your vision starts to return, you will se that Trump is an absolute good guy who has been harmed by a corrupt Dem-directed system... and that paxmao is constantly trying to hide the good that Trump is.
