This is as a result of peer pressure. And this point out to the fact that children might learn the habit of gambling outside of the house. This is a good point even as it deviates from the context in the OP, and I could remember that I'd shared a view like this before on this thread but it was in an advice note. Fine, parents cannot be following their children everywhere at all times, they have their lives too, but if any child got to learn something that is adult-related at a younger age externally, the parent is absolved of that, after all, the parent could be gambling but since he knows that the child could be affected by it kept it from him/her. By conscience and by moral/good upbringing, the parent has done his part.

Once you are doing all those things in front of your children, they will surely be gambling and smoking which I have witness such thing from some family in my environment, where  all the man children are smokers and gamblers because their father was doing it some years ago in front of his children that made them to copy it from their father.

You should also take it in consideration that kids learn faster in anything they are curious about so yeah it really is very wrong if kids are in front of us while we are busy doing our thing in gambling. All the things we do might be absorbed by their young and weak minds so beware of it as it might influence them way too early in that vice.

True, and one of the reasons why a child cannot distinguish what is good and what is right, or what should be done and what should be avoided is because their mindset is still unstable or maybe I can also say that they cannot think carefully and cannot make rational considerations to be able to make decisions that are really right. And this is why a child is usually more likely to follow the various actions taken by the adults around him such as his parents, and this is also the reason why we as parents must always set a good example and also direct them to positive things which is none other than the goal so that the behavior of a child is also good, while on the other hand I think we all know that gambling has a bad impact, especially when done in the wrong way, sometimes even adults who have a mature mindset cannot always avoid various impulsive decisions, well let alone a child whose mind is still unstable, therefore it is clear that gambling in front of a child is an action that should be avoided, because after all there is always the possibility for them to follow everything that is done by the adults around them.

Adults are like role models to kids, and every action a parent exhibit in a child's presence seems adequate to the kid because they learn from adults. Hence, it's crucial for grown people to set aside gambling impulses that erupts while in a child's presence. It's even proper to excuse yourself from the child and gamble privately if the urge is too strong that it can't get subsided. Teaching our children the ways of gambling at a tender age is a disaster to the society.

Children now have gadgets for learning purposes and same device have access to casinos, if a child gets to see that his dad or mom uses their gadgets for gambling other than reading, he'd think using his for gambling would be the right thing.

As you said, kids can't make adequate decisions themselves. It'll be risky if they get entangled to gambling due to their inability to pick good choices. They'll also blame their parents for not stopping them from gambling because of the repercussion this could cause the child in future. Maybe as an adult. Providing the best parental training for our children should be the main aim of every parent. It's not something to neglect. Also parents should work on their limits and fix a stable gambling time mostly when the kids are asleep.

Yes, of course, because as I said before, adults are usually always used as examples by children in any case, and as you said, if we do as much as possible we should put aside our desire to gamble when we are around children - children, nothing else must be done as a precautionary measure. And I am sure that if parents love and care about a child's future then I am sure they will definitely take various preventative measures so that their children do not fall into gambling.

And yes, it is true that now many children are quite proficient in operating gadgets, none other than because they grew up in a very modern era, plus now a lot of learning is done using the internet so that it is easier for people to understand. A child is compared to listening to the teacher's explanation in class and this means that a child has the ability to operate a gadget which allows them to try to find a gambling site when they see their parents gambling using the same tool as you described. And the point is simple, try to gamble when you are at the right time, such as free time without other activities and also when you are away from the sight of children.
