When people say "dont gamble in front of kids", I wonder how many times do you gamble at home in general? I think its one special day, like Friday night or Saturday. And not every week. So a kid will parents gamble just 2 or 3 times per month, and not every time the kid will pay a special attention to what parents are doing. I think it will be 10-15 times per year when parents gamble and kid spot it. And after a few times they see it, they get familiar with it and not give much attention to it. So is it possible to get addicted through seeing gambling activity just few times a month or year? If a parent gamble 24/7 365 days a year that is a different story. But if we really gamble rarely, is it that dangerous for kids? Personally I dont believe in that.

I am also strict, I don't let anyone even my kid to look at my phone and even my computer. I'd allow to use my computer if I am there to watch out what's being done on my computer. Just for games, it's fine but if there's something odd that I didn't know, I'm telling already to stop doing it because it's not good and good thing that I am being heard and obeyed.

So, to the dads out there. It's very important not to let the kids do their own thing as if they know what they do. We're still the ones to maneuver what should be visible to them and what's not. If we allow them to do what they want, it's for sure that they'd be doing something bad at all or much worse hide things from us without our consent and do it, we have to be vocal but at the same time friendly to them so they won't feel that they're being strangled by us to anything they do.

That is it because it's always common that children loves doing research and immediately they have that access to start operating our system or anything other systems at home they would go make their personal findings to know what their parents are using that particular site to do and if they does then practicing begins because they would want to understand how the system entirely function and, immediately they discovered that there are games that are more familiar to them and they knows they could stake to make money out it they don't mind developing more passion for it. Provided they would make profit from it and without knowing how the overall system of gambling works, by the time they discovers that they lost what they stake they would want to go again to prove that they knows the games naturally.

Yeah, their curious mind takes all of those research and want to touch everything that we own specially the gadgets. Kids today are intelligent and can easily navigate gadgets that many adults can't do. Gambling is gambling, regardless of how profitable they could be based on their words, it's not actually a good one for them to show or let them see things related to it.

Although I don't think gambling is that profitability because the lost in it is much more than the profit we make from it. For instance out of 99% of people gambling every day there is every tendency that only 2 to 5% of people who manages to secure winning and out of that percent few may likely cash out due to their instincts not too strong on that particular game.

I mean, it depends on what time frame you grew up, but I also grew up in a time where we didn't readily have all these great consoles, super fast internet etc.  My first gaming system was GameBoy, and then PlayStation. 

As a kid I was all about growing up playing outside.  Whether it was my friends and I playing baseball, basketball or football, playing in a local creek/pond etc.

I think kids today are lazier than ever and it comes down to parenting.  There's nothing wrong with gambling in front of children as long as you teach them when and when its NOT okay to be doing so.

Yeah, I can hear you and understand the childhood that you've come from. I guess that we're on the same age bracket when entertainment wasn't that much on our days. But luckily for me, I was in the middle of it and able to still enjoy like those games that you've mentioned but the early ones like the second generation next to atari, mario bros, etc.

Sometimes people have their own methods of raising their children, the problem of casinos and children who see them playing, well, it is delicate, if they get to see, then they have to be explained why they play and why they have to play when they are of legal age, and that they understand that money is what we should take care of the most, that it is not easy, that the casino is a game for adults and that for children there are other kinds of Games like PS5, I am sure that if a child has a PS5 he will not be Interested in a casino at all.

Yes totally depends on parents, so if parents could take care of their children and watching over them it makes it very easy for children and limits themselves from certain things. This is not only applicable to gambling but in general aspect of life we shouldn't have all discussions in front of our kids maybe we think they aren't getting what we are doing but they turns back to practice every single thing we have done both in he secret and open place.

This reminds me, few days ago was counting my money withdrawn from bank but at some one my child has to seat close to me while I continue doing what I was doing, after I finish I put it inside the drawer and I stepped out to sitting room I never knew he wasn't following me back there, so I began to search for him and I step back inside bed room, to my greatest surprised the whole money littered on the floor while he was trying to do what I did.

Yeap, they are like sponge, but they dont consume everything they see. I wish they would copy me (and be as cool as me lol), but she is very shy with making new friends. Cant teach my girl that vegetables are better than sweets and snacks. Why, if I eat salad with meat all the time, she prefer french fries and maybe a tiny bite on the meat? teaching children about goodness such as making them able to make good decisions certainly does not mean that parents have to show all things that are actually not recommended. parents will definitely keep their children away from things that are likely to be bad, that's for sure. like when parents fight, of course their children don't want to see their family fighting so they put the child in their room first or even someone else takes the child so they don't witness their parents in conflict.

Exactly, they will try to imitate us curios if why we are doing something especially if they see that we are enjoying or being entertain of what we are doing in front of them, gambling is not exempt as if they see us and watch us while we are engage and they see or feel the excitement that we are producing while playing.

As long as you're a gambler it might get into you child to be a gambler that's if he wants because the world today is just exposed to so many things, you hide it from your children doesn't mean they won't learn it from outside and they might even be a bettter than you are if care isn't taken.
