I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?

learning theory doesn't take long. maybe in 1-2 weeks you can find out the ways and strategies in trading. but using the trading strategy you learned to make a profit, takes longer.
I don't know for sure, but it was probably more than a year until I was probably comfortable enough in trading. Don't ever calculate how much you will lose because it might make you give up at the beginning before you enjoy your learning process.

Weeks... or I think it only took days before I learn trading.
Don't take what I said seriously. Yes I learned trading in only a few weeks, but I didn't make myself profitable while doing it. Cheesy

TBH, I don't know how much an aspiring trader will take for them to be an expert. I guess the one who can answer this are the ones whom they can consider themselves as experts in trading. What I know is that, as long as there's a strategy that's working for you then you can get yourself profitable already. Correct me if I'm wrong with this one though. I don't believe that it takes 9 months before you learn trading. You can spend those 9 months learning trading, but in the end, you can't get yourself profitable in trading still.

Overall, there's no exact number on this one. As for me, I don't want to spend months learning trading. It only took me weeks, and I failed. Cheesy No regrets though.

It's been 2 years, and I am still learning. there is no limit on how much you can learn. so I don't think you get all the ideas about trading only in 9 months. maybe the basics or something that you can make profit from. and it depends on your capability of learning. I myself I always forget things. if I learn something today I would most likely forget it about in a week or two. so I have to constantly keep on learning or reviewing what I have already learned. and there is no shortcut in learning.
and when it comes to learn how to trade, it's a bit more complicated. if you think that you have learned everything about trading then you are wrong. The crypto market is always evolving and in order to stay up to date with it, you need to create different kind of strategies on your own based on the situation of the market. so I don't think you can learn all of it in just 9 months. you need to keep on learning in order to be a good trader or to be the best. but 9 months is a good amount of time to learn the basics and master it. by doing this later on you can come up with your own strategies based on the market situation. so I don't think it's a bad idea. you can give it a try.

To be able to trade I only need 3 days. At that time I was taught in full for 3 days by my friend, from registering an account to placing buy and sell orders and immediately making a profit (still under my friend's instructions). At that time I traded with the DOGE/BTC pair in 2014 before I knew Bitcointalk. However, to be able to fully carry out technical analysis, get to know doji, market structure and so on, I need more time, even now I still feel lacking and continue to learn. Because there are many new things we need to learn in trading and in every situation there must be a different strategy even though it is basically the same.

I think it shouldn't take long if we dare to jump straight in. The problem is that usually we have too much theory so we try too much before trying. I don't think it's wrong to jump in with the least capital first. Then, slowly, you will understand how trading is and that's the time to reap profits.

That's right to learn a theory maybe it won't take long enough, one or two weeks is probably enough to understand everything there and also along with some basic strategies. And yes I agree that what is very difficult is how to place or use the strategy, the market is very volatile, anything can happen there including losses. Therefore, in my opinion, it is indeed familiarizing and adapting to the market that is the most difficult, especially when we want to open a position, of course it requires a lot of consideration to make the right decision, none other than that just for the sake of the profit we always want.

Agree, trading involves money in it, therefore when the process of learning and adapting I think losses are familiar, especially when we are at the learning stage. In trading we will not be able to completely avoid losses because there are so many factors that will influence and certainly lead us to losses, it doesn't matter and the point is I hope you can make that loss a very valuable lesson. It is common knowledge that if you want to get progress then you must be able to learn from mistakes, so that such things do not happen again.

not long. it should be 3 months. I only studied the main RSI and then the candle patterns, how it is resistance and support. After understanding a little I immediately tried it. I know this is still not enough, but if I don't start now I think I will waste a lot of opportunities. Therefore I will continue to learn directly from my own trading experience.

Trading education will largely depend on you, the amount of time you can spend and the amount of knowledge you can acquire to learn trading. If you are stupid or ignorant it may take years, but you will not learn trading. And if you are an intelligent or wise person, then you can be successful only after few months of effort. It will depend on you to take your education, so you can easily learn about trading if you learn carefully. Or if you want to keep trading with constant advice from an experienced person, gradually you will understand about trading.

At that time, I learned trading for about a month at least. For me, it is not easy to ensure I have sufficient knowledge to start trading properly. The hardest thing to learn is technical analysis and the way to determine the exit time (when to take profits). It requires some weeks to understand it, it is difficult to to master in a short time. It is because those matters are quite complex and very technical.

Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?
Sure. Professional/experienced traders know which matters to learn first for newbies/beginners. They already spent a long time in trading, it makes sense if they know well everything about trading.

You can learning about trading quickly but to master trading, you must practice it enough and it's hard to generalize how long it is enough to master Trading. Most of traders like 90% fail in trading so to be master Trading, you must belong to 10% of successful traders. It's a damn hard task and even a newbie trader starts with high optimistic attitude for his trading adventure, let's prepare for unhappy results.

Because with that caution, I hope that newbie trader will trade more carefully.

Awesome Crypto Trading.

I think, you can use one month or two months to learn crypto trading and start profiting through out your trading because the most important thing there is to know how to read to know the type of wallet you are going to use for your coins that will guarantee you safe when the time comes to trade your coins to make a good profits. But those that used weeks to learn crypto trading are not professional like those that used months to learned crypto trading to know everything concerning crypto trading and how to observe during the bearish season to know what to do not to experience loses from the market. I think, it hard for professional crypto traders to get panic whenever there is a bearish season because they know that it will not last forever, but those that used weeks to learned crypto trading will start panicking at the moment.

As a child, my teachers used to say that there is no end to learning. My school master told me like this that if you read a subject 10 times you will learn something new ten times and after reading ten times when you read that particular subject again 11 times you will learn more new things. It is clear in his words that no matter how much we know about a particular subject, there is much more to know. There is no end to learning about trading, the more you know about trading, the more you will improve your trading skills and you will be able to trade in new ways. I also noticed that after starting trading with a rough understanding of trading, I slowly gained a better understanding of trading from real experience and I think I have a lot more to learn and I will learn a lot more in the future. So I think we don't have any specific target for learning trading.

Learning to trade is a process that varies from person to person. I can state that this process varies between a few weeks and a few months depending on the person's learning ability, speed of gaining experience and interests. The process of learning to trade varies depending on analysis skills as well as the process of gaining experience. Additionally, it is important to remember that trading is never something that we can learn completely because financial markets are constantly changing which means that no one can learn trading perfectly.

In order to learn introductory, intermediate and advanced trading, it will be sufficient to have knowledge about the interpretation of financial markets, the use of indicators and analysis methods. However, as I mentioned, unfortunately, it isn't possible to learn trading perfectly due to the structures of financial markets. In addition, it is very important in this process to constantly gain experience due to the many mistakes a person will make regardless of their knowledge level and to increase the level of experience without repeating these mistakes.

Finally, I would like to remind you that it isn't enough for an entry-level person to simply learn how to use indicators or analyze how to conclude that "I learned the trade". Learning, emotion management, budget management, transaction management and the use of SL-TP levels is also very important in order to conclude "I learned the trade".

In trading, it is very important to learn from your mistakes, if you know that you are obliged to use a stop loss in every trade, then this should always be done without any exceptions. This is just one example, but it is important to understand that every rule a trader uses must always be followed in every transaction, otherwise you will not be able to become a successful trader and no new knowledge will help you succeed in this matter. As you acquire new knowledge, you can adjust these rules, but compliance with them will be mandatory in any case.

not long. it should be 3 months. I only studied the main RSI and then the candle patterns, how it is resistance and support. After understanding a little I immediately tried it. I know this is still not enough, but if I don't start now I think I will waste a lot of opportunities. Therefore I will continue to learn directly from my own trading experience.
In theory, it doesn't actually take months to learn, but in practice it will take a lot of time. The problem is that when we understand the theory, it doesn't necessarily mean we can apply it directly and run smoothly. That's why many have difficulty learning to trade not from the theory but from the practice.
Yes, learning from experience as long as we trade will be very helpful for the development of our trading skills, but we must be prepared for the big risks that await us. If you want to learn from experience, then you should do it with as little capital as possible.

Basically, of course, it only takes a short time but what takes a long time is when you start learning at a higher level including strategy and also how to finally become an expert but in my opinion you have to always learn to be able to keep getting profits, but the most important thing is from trading what cannot be learned from a textbook is controlling emotions, sticking to a set strategy and only changing it when you have evaluated it because winning once is not enough to prove that the strategy is more effective than other strategies, and what is no less important is to start practicing with capital that suits your pocket and your ability to lose.

Learning about trading depends on dedication, determination, and your ability to grasp, there are fast and slow learners, so the category in which you fall contributes a lot to the time you spend on learning about trading. Learning about trading continues even after you have stopped learning from your mentor, and that's when you start to learn from your personal experience with trading, particularly the practical knowledge of what you have been taught by a mentor and the one that requires your personal experience.

It depends on the person itself, people have different paces when they are learning something it could be they are more fast-learning person or the opposite. If slow-learning person wants to learn more about advanced strategies then it would take really long time to actually grasp the strategies really well. It just depends, we don't know how well that person is to learn something, it actually took me more than 2 years to actually understand something but still it far too become perfect and I still suffer from the losses.

Self learn!

Everything could be found in youtube and if you do have that time and effort then you could really be able to learn up trading and not really that long.If you do prefer on having a mentor then its up to you but of course it wont really be coming free or having no cost.So its up to you whether you would really be willing to pay on someone who could really be able to guide you up or would really be just simply learning trading for yourself without having anyone to follow but somewhat this kind of path is hard since you dont have any idea on where to start but doesnt mean that it is impossible. It is really just that there are people who are really that eager to learn without needing to pay a dime into those people who are really that keen about spending.

In my case, it didnt take up that long or having that 9 months learning for me to have a good grasps with trading. It did only have that 3-4 months as far as i remember on which i have known different sets of indicators on which you could really be able to make use or something that would really be relevant into your trading career. Its not really just that things to be fast and if you are that a type of person
who does have that short temper then for sure it wont really be something that wont really fit on you.

That is his program of teaching but for me, that is enough to make someone become knowledgeable enough in trading unless, he mentioned for for someone to just learn about the basics. Just imagine that becoming a professional is never made too quickly nor it be done in just a few days or weeks but it takes months to years. Now, if you are asking for shortcuts, that is impossible. If you think about being a profitable trader, then think that there are a lot of things that you need to understand and learn which is impossible to shorten instructions otherwise, you've never learned it fully.
