Di number of garbages dat we don report e don too many, we Don tire to report sef, so di best thing now is to submit the shit/spam posters to Global Moderators to ban and negative feedback (tag) nd to delete so dat di remaining users go restructure demselves. I know shit posts are useless to the board and am also against it, but I think it’s better we look for a better way to fight this than reporting them and tagging their accounts. I am just against reporting and tagging accounts, even if what they do doesn’t benefit the LB. We shouldn’t just be tagging their accounts, let’s look for another way to tackle that.

If you are opposed to this way, please make a better idea, but please keep in mind that reporting to the moderator is an old method that was ineffective. This list will be used as a reference for any subsequent action. I'm not going to tag any account that's not how I operate, the list would help us to mass report but I can't tell what would happen if this list get to someone who care more about the forum than us.

If you will be tagging accounts, I know a higher percentage will be newbies, and I hope you know everyone started as a newbie and  we started growing with time. I am sorry to say, but check your post history and compare when you joined the forum posting pattern with your current posting pattern. Then you will see the difference. If your account was tagged, will you have gotten to your current position? Let’s just think about it twice before starting.

Some people are just joining the forum and lack proper information, and they don’t have anyone to guide them. If there are DTs on the LB, it is not a bad idea if they tag any shitposters who have received warnings for a long time but have refused to take corrections. In my suggestions, if a shit poster is tagged, it will cause them to improve in their post quality, and if the DT members see an improvement in the tagged account, they can consider removing the tag or giving it a new remark.

In my suggestions, if a shit poster is tagged, it will cause them to improve in their post quality, and if the DT members see an improvement in the tagged account, they can consider removing the tag or giving it a new remark.

This is also not a bad idea; last year, I tagged two spammers on this board, and both of them were banned not because of my tag, but because they were later proven to have many plagiarism offences. I may not have been tagging spammers on the gambling board like I did last year, but that doesn't mean it's out of my reach. I have a simple template that I follow, which is to send many PMs and then take action if there is no solution. Last year, I tagged numerous accounts on the gambling board, and it encouraged many of them to put more effort into their contributions. At one point last year, several Managers refused to accept individuals on my list of gambling board spammers, but I became tired as the moderators on the gambling board were not as effective as they are now, and many of my reports went unsolved.

Agbe will create the list to give us insights of who these OP are and for us to have access to them, talk to them and see if we can find solution. Our people say "when you beat a child with your right hand say make you carry your left hand take them."

I remember a post that I saw in the past, about a user that was banned and he appealed for the ban. The account was not unbanned because he was plagiarizing. He evaded the ban and his alt was known and banned again and it was noticed that the alt also plagiarized. A member on this forum posted that not that his account is banned, but that the user himself is banned. If a newbie can not cope on the local board, definitely he can not cope on the English board. a local board should not be a spam den but it should have quality posts like the English board.

In regards to what everybody have discuss here about how we plan to eradicate shitposters and spam from our local board, I just came across this few statements by "1miau" which I think will be of great help to anybody finding it difficult here on this forum to use this as a guide to level up his/her post quality by applying the suggestion made below.. Because this issue of spam, we are not the only local board experiencing it, but how we are able to handle it amicably will determine the faith of our local board in the near future. You can get massively (more) Merit by following simple rules:

For new topics:

• Presentation of guides / tutorials / insightful topics where many people could be interested in
• Innovative giveaways

Comments in existing topics:

• Is your comment helpful for OP?
• Contributing interesting content and providing insights instead of just rehashing what’s already been said / uninteresting fluff / guessing needlessly

For new and existing topics:

• Dividing your article / topic into meaningful sections, using sub-headlines, highlighting important parts. Nobody wants to read a text block of 10-15 consecutive lines
• Exposing and removing spam and scam ^[1]
• Using pictures / tables / lists, to visualize complex content ^[3]
• Good Memes.

Well, as much as I believe all that Agbe have said and also confirm that they are all true, for I have seen several of this shitposts myself, I would also like to emphasize on the fact that as long as Nigeria is concerned, local board is where most of them begin their forum journey as newbies, and newbies are bound to make series of mistake as they progressively learn from them as they grow.

I myself in one of my threads on this board emphasized on the need to discuss about bitcoin, altcoins and cryptocurrencies in general more, than we discus politics, economy and other diverse challenges our country and we ourselves are facing, but someone users (even high ranking ones) said that as long as the local board is concerned, that it is open for discussion of any type of topic, as long as it relate to Nigeria and we, as the citizens of the country, I kukuma keep quiet, make person no come say I dey form.

Anyways, I wish this course a success, I personally will be glad if I begin to see really quality bitcoin and altcoin discussion thread coming up here more frequently than all this politics, economic, news shit we have been seeing for a very long time now.
