Don't forget about "buy the rumor, sell the news". There will be lot of people anticipating a price increase during the halving. They will all start investing as much as they can before the halving. The price will start going up. And when finally the halving happens, there will be people selling their coins to take their profit, cause the price to go down. So yeah, in the short run, there is a chance the price might go down a little after the halving, but in the long run, it will cause the price to go up. Same goes for altcoins, but in this case the altcoins are more volatile and riskier. Go for the top altcoins that are well known if you want to risk less and always invest what you can afford to lose. Don't get greedy and spread your investments!

After halving that would be too late if you want to buy from the bottom. I would start buying now until halving and then wait for the top.
The problem is there are too many altcoins and only a few of them are promising. It doesn't make sense to spread the investment across many coins. I prefer the bear season because it clears proper details of the projects and what we prepare to earn. The bull season is only for those that had solid foundation in bear season. The bull season is usually the best period to trigger best selling prices of our intended projects and trades. The altcoins you see are pumping are probably from result of news and perhaps big news that's worth having the attention of investors. Right now, I don't think it's the right time of altcoins. The main focus now is on bitcoin and that's because of halving + ETF approvals. If that happen, the bitcoin mining reward is going to be half and the bitcoin adoption in US will increase because the likelihood of it getting ban is outshine already and that's because Blackrock controls US stocks.

Altcoins will comes after this two and I want you to pay attention close very well. Some altcoins will want to recover from the last bull run collapse that happened, it's better you watched out of this coins especially the ones under the watch from FTX, they are waiting patiently for this coins to recover fully so they can dump them in the market, they already have an approval to sell them just that they are waiting for green flag to dump them. As much as I want to be profitable with bitcoin, then so do I with altcoins. And for me to maximize the future profits, then I'll do investing in altcoins before bitcoin halving takes place. However, it also depends if I have enough budget to risk for altcoins as I'm usually all in for bitcoin. But I know even a small amount will do, as it doesn't really need a huge amount but just do DCA while increasing the right amount of altcoins in my portfolio.

However, it's easy to say to invest in altcoins but the question is if we are investing in the right coins. Unlike with bitcoin there's only single bitcoin in the market, but there are bunch of altcoins in the market that some looks too good to be profitable. Now, DYOR is the key. The appropriate moment to take profits during the bullish era really needs to be researched and understood. Sometimes if we have lost a moment, it will be very difficult to achieve it again and in the end it will be too late. Also be careful with our unstable emotions and tend to be greedy during the bullish era. This quite often happens when we become more greedy when we see the price of the altcoins we hold getting higher and we keep expecting the price to soar again without a good strategy, such as setting the price at some target. So even if it turns out that the price of the altcoin doesn't reach the highest number we set, at least we will have gained from the previous take profits.

While any altcoins might be successful, of course there are no guarantees because these are altcoins. But at least, we need to get the top altcoins, not altcoins that rise because of hype, these may be very valuable but their risk is also very high, and not at all recommended for newbies.

After the Bitcoin halving, the Bitcoin market grew along with other Altcoins. But currently, other altcoins are increasing along with Bitcoin, so those who have enough desire can invest in altcoins of their choice right now. Some altcoins are currently at a stage that an investor can easily invest in but when the price of these altcoins increases there may not be enough opportunities to liquidate these altcoins. I'd rather start now. Because the current price in my analysis is still far from the high price.
There are still many altcoins that have large market caps but have not experienced significant increases. So buying from now is still good enough for me.

But I've also been buying from lower down. So I don't worry that I will experience losses when the market corrects slightly. Because this is an altcoin, we have to be prepared for the risks. And we have to believe in the analysis we have made.

For me 5-10 top CMCs can be considered, the sweet effect of altcoin multiples will be felt during the pump even if it's just a correction, I think people who rejoice at that time (bearish trend) are people who hold a sense of ego in themselves today, if you want to be part of them you should be able to set aside even just a glass of coffee every time you eat (the amount of money converted to dollars) and be able to shop once a week, if the low budget version. Saving money for me is a consistent attitude so that the habit becomes something to strive for, even in small amounts. It depends on when I can avail them but if I invest, I'd do it before the halving happens. Just as bitcoin does, most of the altcoins are also going to move anyway after Bitcoin's reaction after the halving. If you have a better choice and you're able to buy at the same season then that's much better. You have an interesting point of view on a possible halving scenario. But for example, last time the price fell before the halving and then started to rise. Not necessarily that it will happen again this time, but usually altcoins started to rise when bitcoin was already finishing its growth.

Well, before I will answer your question, I just visited Binance app today and checked the number of coins on gains and the percentage and check the number of new listings and I discovered that almost all the new listings were on gains. I just wished I learnt to standard how to trade. I believe that this period is the period that day traders will gain. If I know how to enter and when to exit, I could play around with some USDT.

It's not that we expected that the market will be green but many of us are only optimistic at all times. It is because this is where we bet our money at. And maybe most of it too. Our optimistic level have gotten even higher if we see a market condition like this. Add in other factors like we are now on the last month of the year, we are now close to halving, and so on... . The only funny thing is, that most of the times our expectations can go against us.

This is why I never expect too much, as it may cause me some psychological problems. Halving time as you said is going to occur in April next year. It was almost 5 months away which can be a short wait for some so they can choose to wait. But if not, I would disregard these increases only to buy a coin.
