Crypto is mostly unexpected and we don't know which token will give us high profit. sometimes we expect a big pump in the token and we believe that this project has a lot of potential but this token performance remains low throughout bull and bear season just like DOT and Cardano while some coins we often called them scam and spam pumped hard like ORDI, Pepe, Floki. It's all about trend when trend end then no one want to buy these coins.

In my opinion, better to understand the market and adjust according to the period to be able to benefit from both sides. Now you can see what trends is happening in the market and most smart investors are apeing in to make quick cash to invest on long-term projects.

There is no straight line to make money in crypto, you just have to be smart and recognise opportunity and utilise it. I hope you noticed what is currently happening in solana blockchain? There are many such opportunities but it all depends on how we view the market.

Altcoins investment is a good way of making money provided you are able to recognise opportunities and exploit them properly.

Why should choose one? why not both? I have to be honest that I don't like altcoins that are only based on trends or hype, but I also have to be honest that I have been happy because I have made x50 from investing in altcoins that move because of trends or hype.

So, I'll choose both by diversifying them, making special percentages for long-term altcoins (with good fundamentals) and also hype altcoins.

Long would be nice option, the only problem many people want to invest with a long term. However, we can avoid the temptation example like keep watching the market and see our bag getting gain %.

I don't follow coins that are trending because they are not suitable for the long term, but it's like gambling, it's better for me to buy long term coins even though my portfolio doesn't increase that significantly compared to coins that are trending, it can increase up to 1000x but it can also make our money disappear. Just invest in coins that are long term and have a good future because we also invest with the expectation that sometimes investments do not make a profit or loss but also maintain our own wealth. Do you agree with my opinion?

Well, in altcoin investment, as long as you are willing to risk losing some funds,  you can carry on investing in any token that you think will definitely do well during the bull market. It's true that some altcoins do pump very much during the bull market; that's also how an investor is not 100% sure which or which particular coin will pump and which one will dump so badly. While expecting an altcoin to give you a 100x profit, don't forget that it could happen the opposite way. It doesn't matter which altcoin one is investing in; only invest the amount that will not affect you when lost.

You can actually do both but for me, I'm choosing the long term projects. I'm not spotting trendy coins but I am sure that I know that I can also cope up with them. Seeing people that are making that much money with these trending coins makes me interested on them.
But anyway, I'd just leave it to them with that strategy of being long term. This gives me more peace and lesser stress because I don't have to do such things in a hurry which is being done usually by the people who spots trends.

Long term investment for the good altcoins and do a trend strategy for the projects that are still new in the market, you can just follow the hype and secure your profit after. We know there’s a cycle in this market and now we are on a bullish cycle where we aims to create a new ATH with Bitcoin and after this for sure corrections will start and the bear will suddenly appear, so make sure you understand the cycle.

this is the very reason why it is hard to trust alts especially the new players in the market. you have no assurance that when you wake up they are still in the market as they can easily go down the drain without prior notice.
just look at those meme tokens, only few are still surviving because most already exited once the dev team pocketed some funds. they don't care if their holders lost their savings. because they don't really care about these things.

Long term investment would've been more suited when everyone was fearful in the bear market. Now it just feels like one would be buying 2023's top which isn't a bad idea as BTC and alts are poised to go higher in the coming months. Shiba did really made a lot of people grow their capital and that's why it's like a domino effect that even if it's no longer that much in the trend these days. The impact that it has made to many lives are being kept even until now, there are still a lot of people hoping that shiba will still be the one remaining at the top of these meme coin pumps.

I was interested in this in 2017-18 when there were a lot of hype projects and i could make money on them without much effort, after that the excitement went away and now I prefer to buy something for a long time.

That's true, those were like the times when every project on the market becomes successful and you can make money with almost everything you invest in. But not until 2018, the bear market existed and that has made everyone lose their hope on it and maybe this time, the entire market is going to be alive again just as what we're seeing it pump again.

Market doesn't care about fundamentals, or if your project is good or not. It cares about hype potential, and if the project is exciting enough. Fundamentals are good to sell when they are rebellious enough, tech is cutting tech, revolutionary and easy to market for newbies. And newbies don't care about tech that's few years old. It cares about tech that mirrors their way of life. Something that's fun, does barely exist yet. Something that's more of a promise of what's to come, then something that already exist. That's easy to sell. It's exciting because it doesn't make sense or old farts don't get it.

That's why nfts were big, that's why memetokens were big. That's why monero, DEXes, farming and others were a big thing.

wise decision but I think $10-$20 wouldn't suffice for good profit even in altcoin that fluctuates a lot personally I think if its below $100 then its better to keep saving until it reached $100 but that might just be me.
personally I would do the same, putting majority of investment into bitcoin and ethereum and the rest for rather volatile investment that i could still afford to lose because we all know that 90% of altcoin are gonna fail anyway.
but in the recent events i've seen many coins that has partnership with the like of coinbase as for example always gaining success that it make me think whether its worth it to allocate more and more money to these alts since future are promising and the investment company behind it are ensuring smooth listing in various exchange that it'd be great if i could make some profit that surpass 100% just by holding half a year.
current bullish truly shows the potential of these coins tbh.

If you are in for trading, go for trends. Who would wait for years when you can double your money in months.
If you are in for investment and have no time for the hassle of watching prices move everytime, find a good coin and put some money in it and wait till it x5.
Both strategies have its pros and cons. And you can go with both getting the fruits of both trees.
Another way of passive trading+investing is grid trading where you get the profit of price fluctuations till your coin gets to the desired price.

Before answering that question, you need to ask yourself, what are your goals on this market and how do you plan to accomplish them?

I say this because those strategies belong to two different approaches to the markets, investing and trading, if you are an investor then you need to take a long term approach to the market and invest your money only on good coins, that even if they may not present good profits now, eventually they will, however if you want to become a trader you need to look for the most volatile markets, even if this means that sometimes you will have to buy shitcoins that you know have no long term potential.

exactly, i am also thinking so, long term investment is no doubt one of the best and secure investment but the better strategy is to buy 50% long term coin and 50% for trend base coin. we should not miss any earning opportunity. our mind should set for acquiring all earning ways regardless of long term or short term.

So many airdrops , staking and other activities active in solona network and the project gains so many attraction of investors, airdrop hunters and stakers. SOLONA is now one of best project who pumped 3x in this bull market. If anyone say that this is just trend and I doesn't want to invest in trend base project then he will miss huge profit
