What you call enjoyment in gambling might just be another form of gambling addiction.  I have been in a situation where I feel so incomplete and restless until I gamble. Then I only find happiness in the gambling house irrespective of if I win or lose. With time I realised this was an addiction I had to deal with to reclaim my peace. Many people might be experiencing this yet calling it having fun while gambling.

Maybe other forms of gambling addiction vary depending on how someone interprets it. And when we only find happiness in the gambling house, maybe for us, it is a gambling addiction. But we must be grateful if we can realize that we are addicted to gambling and want to cure our gambling addiction. But when we place sports bets and feel we are getting pleasure from watching the game, maybe it is not another form of gambling addiction because we are watching the game just to know how it is going. We also want to get more information from each team to get more knowledge about each team. This is useful for us because we can make special notes about each team, which will be used as material for our consideration later when those teams compete with other teams.

Things becomes addictive on the time that you are already doing it that on a severe manner on which there would really be people who would really be sticking out on doing things just because they do really enjoy on what they are doing and there are ones who could really be able to deal with in moderate manner on which it isnt really an issue whether they had put up some money or not on a particular thing in speaking about  gambling scenario or situation. Fun thing? It would be always on depending whether they had put up money on a certain bet or not, we do know that it do really adds up some thrill for those  bets which do really involves money. Having to bet sounds like a danger signal, maybe some sirens going off there :p   Bet every other game, collect research on the team you bet etc.   Nobody can win every time so in theory not betting some games does actually improve your win ratio and overall profit, its just knowing when.  For sure a break is good sometimes as you may observe more when not biased in your view to win or not.  If not a skip then half the amount bet could be completely wise decision to take.

But with experience gained in sports betting, I believe that contributes to the improvement in gambling. Since these bettors always used to place a bet, they were able to create automatically what's the best match to bet and the options to choose. It's possible that the OP doesn't really enjoy the match so his mind is only focused on winning the bet, even though he already knows that sports betting is also full of risks so he should understand that it is part of gambling, so the OP should be able to just enjoy the match as if he had never bet. so you become more relaxed and can enjoy the match without having to complain about losing.

For me it's watching with bets because you have something to gain or lose when the team that you're rooting for wins or loses but to each person this is going to be different since we have different levels of care for money and finances, some of us don't mind losing some money to bet on our favorite teams or the teams that have a favorable odds while others see what we could've spent those money so we have a hard time having fun while betting.

I would probably draw a line between someone who likes to have some least amount of skin in the game in order to make something more exciting or whether has to place excessively high bets on a regular basis. I can understand when people place little bets as it is sometimes like adding some spice to your food and it doesn't necessarily mean someone is addictive. I mean most people also play for a few bucks when they play poker because, you know without any money being at stake playing poker isn't fun. But does that mean someone is addictive already?

I assume this could end in a lengthy discussion as the topic itself is complex. Where does addiction start? Is addiction always connected to negative consequences in some shape or form? But if OP asks the general question whether it is more fun to watch a game with or without skin in the game, I would say that placing a bet is more fun unless someone bets an amount that can destroy the fun when the bet is lost.

You would really be having indeed that kind of improvement on the time that you would really be making involvement with sports betting on which you might be that not that
successful or really that winning that much but the experience and knowledge that you are getting is really that contributive on the things that you would really be doing in the future.

    It is naturally to feel some kind of way when you are watching the game you place bet in lose. Generally nobody likes to lose especially when money is involve. Gambling being a thing for fun still gat people feeling sad when they lose money, because when they think about the different things they would have spend the money it’s saddens the heart. I believe that what’s meant to be will be, for you sanity it’s is best to stay off watching the match you place bet on. Because expectations will be so high and once they are not delivering as usual it’s becomes an emotional game.
    As a game chance, it should be known that any thing can happen and the game can go against you, and if you are a person that can control his/her emotions you see your actions reacting to the game. I love to watch most matches I bet on. It gives me hope that my prediction can still be right especially when the team I bet on is playing well. Also it help me to make a live prediction on that same game. This live prediction may later be the one that will win and give me back the money I have actually bet on the game before the match.

Each bettor must have his own way, some see completely what is being bet there is also with the final result only.
I myself tend to leave what I have bet because my psychology is still not enough if I see the whole match every minute. so I decided to put a bet and leave it. if I'm lucky maybe I can win and if not, I don't bet also for my mental health.

Someone with that kind of mentality could most likely watch a game in which they made a bet and not get frustrated if things do not go their way, and if anything they may enjoy watching the game even more as now they have something at stake other than their personal feelings about which team they may like to win, however I am not going to deny there are a lot of people that are very passionate for sports that take everything to heart, and losing a bet while watching the game in question will probably ruin their day.
