100 to start would be tough on most and also press ups are harder for some then others.    I used to do 200 years ago but I considered that alot and I didnt start off with that much.   Anyone skinny has an advantage on this one as you literally have to lift less weight then anyone heavier build.  There is also the consideration women are possibly at a disadvantage also but some equivalence could be put into the idea.
    Mostly because Im too lazy but also I've done this much before so I dont feel too guilty but I will say 100k pricing could take years to occur.  You are going to end up looking like Arnold perhaps so its a win/win perhaps but I dont presume 100k this year or even the next so this is maybe 700 days commitment, I will have to wuss out on this one sorry.  Sure I think 100k does happen, timing is the maybe imo.

Ok.  You lured me into a response.  I think that $100k this year is more than 50% likely - which makes it bettable... I don't feel really strongly about this, and it is quite amazing to even consider 50/50 odds with such a high number...makes me feel kind of like someone who is overly optimistic, to be suggesting that some kind of an asset has greater than 50% odds to go up right around 2.25x of our current price $44,550 in the next 10.75 months....

So if $100k does not happen this year, then the odds of it happening by 2025 must be a little bit higher than 50%.. so maybe will have to say 55% or more.. surely bettable

At some point I am going to have to work out my odds for this cycle (like I did in my previous post on the topic).... .

Regarding pushups, I started on February 5th..

and so daily I did pushups: 1) 50  2) 70 and 3) 50 so far  = total = 170 

I am going to keep my discipline more loose, even though I was able to do more push ups from the start than I thought that I was going to be able to do at the start - but I am experiencing some soreness in my chest.. .. so for some of us there can be some value in pacing these kinds of matters.. to attempt to push ourselves, but without over doing it..

and yeah, nothing wrong with modified push-ups, even though I am going to try to continue to do regular pushups unless I hit some kind of a barrier in this process, and I am not even against the idea that maybe even various other exercises could be decent substitutes for someone who might be adding some kind of an exercise to their schedule rather than doing something that they already do.. and even the person who does a certain number of stairs, might still want to push for some push ups too.. based on stairs being cardio and push ups being resistance training.. yet if you had not really been exercising, it might be better to start with lighter kinds of activities and work your way up and even stairs might seem like resistance training in the beginning of getting used to it..  and also based on trying to stay in the spirit of the idea (not that push ups are exactly a fair standard for some folks.. including the girl disadvantage that was mentioned) - absent some kind of physical limitation..

And, @phil I cannot cannot completely let you off of the hook in regards to the planking thingie-ma-jiggie, because I am not against it.. I looked it up and it is a core strength building exercise, but I think that maybe there could be some pushups thrown into the mix, too.. especially if you are already ready, willing and able to plank for 100 seconds per day... your starting point is not whimpy at all... #justsaying... but your assertion that "can't do push-ups because too elderly" just does not seem to pass a logics test.

I am thinking "dear elderly person" (more elderly than me) that maybe some modified pushups to start, such as 5 or 10 modified pushups for each planking session, and I am not really sure if 100 seconds of planking is very comparable to 100 pushups.. and I would not dispute planking for 100 seconds may well be more difficult than 20 or 30 modified pushups... but if you are able to carry out 100 seconds of planking right now, then I would suggest and cajole that maybe there might be some attempts for uie-pooie to increase your number of seconds (is this coming off as abuse to the elderly?) or to add in some pushups (or modified pushups) into the mix as you build up your strength?  and then maybe you might be able to make it to 92 as you had been suggesting in an earlier post of yours..

JJG I am rested and relaxed at the moment. Just got out of the shower and typing in bed on the ipad mini.

My exercise today was three planks adding to 102 seconds.
Two twenty minute stationary bike rides.
Fifty rubbber band belt pulls each arm while pedaling.

I could rip some pushups, but I doubt I can do ten or fifteen in one setting.

I am too old and probably wouldn’t even be able to do half of these push ups a day. And even if I managed to do 100, I would probably stop after the first day.

It’s a good challenge it will keep you fit, however there should be other ways of celebrating bitcoins price if it tops $100K. I think more important is the security of your crypto. Don’t keep it on an exchange, use cold storage, watch out for scam contracts and extensions.

Imagine bitcoin hitting $100K and you get it stolen due to poor security due to SMS 2fa or some password that was reused.

yeah simply can’t do a lot due to the umbilical hernia repair.

As I push upwards I feel too much tension where the mesh is sown in.

Still I can knock out the planks as I don’t need to do that pushing up to position the plank. The stress inthe core area feels more correct than the stress the pushups do.

Though bitcoin might not hit $100k anytime soon, but I still feel it's important to use it as a medium to keep the body fit.
I was doing push up some months ago and I got fed up because I had no motivator. But this challenge is like using an imaginative mind to keep pushing. Like the more you push the more you have the feeling that your push up is helping Bitcoin growth quickly. I could remember when I use to do push up, if am tired at almost in conclusion of my end counts I will take my mind to something that will make me conclude the number of count.

Though I will give it a trial. But I know the first week will be difficult, because it's been long I did it. However I will not do the 100 push at once hell no. But I can do 20 push every 20 minutes making it 60push in one hour 100 push in 1 hour 40minutes

Who's in?!?!?
I am in. Will like to take a trial but the challenge would have been better if picture of before and after photo will be posted here to see if actually people did it lolz 😂. Like posting your image as someone who have accepted the challenge, and post another one after the end of the challenge let's see how the new body looks.

I have done this before, the secret here as you have said is to break it down like this,

10 pushup x 10 times.

So what I did is that I will time it out, like

7:00 am upon waking up, do 10 pushups, then maybe next at
10:00 another 10..

and so on until you make 10 per day = 100. Of course you will feel pain and that's what we call Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS), but as you get used to it and become stronger, then it will be easy and make you need to target more, like 150 pushup.

I've been mostly doing 5 sets of 20, but have gone 10 and 30 a few times.  I'm looking forward to the day I can do 100 at once, perhaps by the halving.  We'll see...

Woah, 100 push ups all at once ain't easy to achieve and I admire people who can actually do that.
I think for a beginners, 100 push ups a day might be too much, it might cause them some terrible muscle aches that could make them quit in the next couple of days. Well, I guess that also depends on the age. The younger the person is, the more the body can absorb all the stress of doing the 100 push ups even on the first day.
I'm thinking on participating on this challenge and maybe I could start on how much "K" the bitcoin price is currently on, but I gotta do some cardio exercises and a 1-2km jog everyday first for a maybe a week, because I really have a weak stamina for not being able to do a workout for quite some time now.
By gradually increasing the number of push ups, I guess by the time bitcoin hits 100k, we all hopefully can make the 100 push ups all at once.

Bitcoin is headed to $100,000 and that's not speculation. OK, maybe it is, but the 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K challenge is real and has been echoing throughout the community for a week now, so I thought I would make a thread here for those of us who want to try and hold ourselves accountable.

Well, i do not see this push up challenge to be realate to the bitcoin price action as the two of them are completey different things. I do not discourage your idea but i have another idea for this challenege.

How about everyone of us do the DCA in bitcoin unless bitcoin reaches 100,000$. For example, everyone can invest 5$ a day in bitcoin and keep on doing this activity for 100 days or for any number of days until bitcoin reaches 100,000$. Interesting Idea ?

Also, i do not know what could be doing the beneifts of pushup for X number of days, but doing the DCA for X number of days will surely make your portfolio look a lot more better on the day when bitcoin is 100K.

Or I guess I'll twist it because I'm the type of guy who exercises at least once a month. What I mean by exercise is by running, or the common exercise that we know.

What I will do is that, starting from next week, I'll do 1 push for every 2K of the price of Bitcoin until it reaches $100,000. For ex. the price of Bitcoin right now is $44,000, I'll do 22 push-ups for the day and since I'm not a type of person who does push-ups on a daily basis, I might do it on halves (11 on the day, 11 on the night).

What for? I guess just to motivate myself, I just wanted to participate, and to be a little bit strong I guess. Cheesy Anyway, I'll start it next week, nevertheless.

I hope everyone is also keeping track of your push-ups (I'm currently at 540 which will be 560 by the time you read this).  It would be cool to list a total number of push-ups done by the community in this thread once we hit $100,000.  Also, don't be ashamed if you can only do 10 a day to start, or even if you have to do modified ones.  Get after it!  I'd love nothing more than to hear about someone who started this challenge doing modified push-ups only to end it with 100 real push-ups a day by the end.

Cool, it's hard though to get that 100x straight, maybe if you really do it consistently. 5 x 20 is already doable, as I have said I started 10 x 10 and then move up as I grew stronger. Yeah, I do modified it everyone, on how it will fit in your schedule. If you have regular jobs, then going on the floor and doing a push up, your officemate might find it weird,  Grin. I have my training logs with me, writing it down, but I think there are health and fitness apps that you can download and track it everything for you by just plugging in the numbers.

Good luck to everyone, it's going to be a big challenge in the beginning, but it's all a mental game.  Grin

I also did try this challenge many years ago, and I'm fitness on and off in the last 2 years. But I was surprised to see this again. I guess some crypto influencer made this challenge to the public. Currently, I start another journey, going to the gym at my age this year as this is one of my goal for this year. Did do it 1 month straight, but it seems my body is hurting right now so I have to take 1 week break as I also not feeling well because of the weather. In any case, I can't insert it in my regimen, I'm more on strength type of training, lifting heavy, 3 sets of 5 heavies, sometimes singles and doubles on deadlift. But I will encourage everyone to try this challenge, obviously, it's going to hurt on your chest or your triceps as this is a body weight exercise. But just watch Youtube clips who have done this before and maybe you can draw inspiration from them.

This is a really awesome challenge, would be awesome if you've got a YouTube channel where you post this though, added engagement too. I do think that the 100 push ups is a difficult number but that depends on how you're with push ups, have you been doing push ups consistently? Or this is a spur of the moment thing because if that's the case then 100 is too much, maybe even 10 push ups is already going to be difficult especially for non athletic people that don't have much activities with their body, push up may look straightforward but it's a difficult thing to do especially if you want to do the proper one.
Is there any other option out there? Cheesy
Do 100 mile run in a week, 100 squats in a week (100 daily isn't recommended unless you're not going anywhere and you don't mind using your legs for a few days), 100 triceps dips, the 100 symbol is the important thing here after all. Or maybe even plan a workout routine that will set you to go to 100 daily, much better for your body than only one exercise.

How about everyone of us do the DCA in bitcoin unless bitcoin reaches 100,000$. For example, everyone can invest 5$ a day in bitcoin and keep on doing this activity for 100 days or for any number of days until bitcoin reaches 100,000$. Interesting Idea ?

What makes you think that every person in the community can afford to invest $5 a day in Bitcoin? Or you don't want everyone to participate because if it's about money, maybe not everyone can participate. Doing pushups or any other exercise is for everyone, it's free of cost and anyone can participate regardless of their financial status or anything else.

Also, i do not know what could be doing the beneifts of pushup for X number of days, but doing the DCA for X number of days will surely make your portfolio look a lot more better on the day when bitcoin is 100K.

Benefits? Health and fitness! Don't you consider being healthy and fit to be beneficial? They say health is the biggest wealth one can have, even if you have the whole world, it's of no use to you if you are not healthy or fit because you won't be able to do anything in that situation. So you can't say that this activity wouldn't have any benefits, it's not always about financial gains.

@OgNasty, I'm in, though I can't promise that I can keep up until the day Bitcoin hits $100k, but I'll do the best of my abilities.

It was a great moved to see the changes in the crypto market and it has made it clear that $100k will be possible before the end of this year because, the 100 pushups a day put more smile on the faces of long term investors and short term investorso of what is about to break out in the market soon.

 I know that $100k has be many investors challenge which is the target of many hodlers right now and, according to some experts prediction, it look like the bull run is approaching to take over the market if this candle light continue till weekend.

OK, maybe it is, but the 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K challenge is real and has been echoing throughout the community for a week now, so I thought I would make a thread here for those of us who want to try and hold ourselves accountable.
Well, i do not see this push up challenge to be realate to the bitcoin price action as the two of them are completey different things. I do not discourage your idea but i have another idea for this challenege.

Of course, anyone in their earliest times of BTC accumulation might find some reasons (or excuses) to either increase their BTC accumulation efforts or to just keep going down that BTC accumulation path, but some of us who have been in bitcoin for a while might not be in that stage, even though for solidarity purposes, we might still choose some kind of an ongoing BTC buying, but if we already have a lot of BTC, then it does not seem to make as much sense to be buying with one hand and selling with the other. ...although there could be ways to structure to sell less on the way up and to buy more on the way down, if anyone is employing a kind of ladder system.. which seems to frequently be what I do in terms of selling less on the way up and buying more on the way down.. but then there can some times be contradictions with that too... yet I have frequently had a philosophy that involves selling in such small amounts on the way up that I am still enjoying plenty of compounding of my BTC value as BTC prices go up, so there could be some efforts to just think about keeping the quantity sold on the way to $100k to be even smaller than usual.. and these kinds of techniques ONLY work when we might have already reached our BTC accumulation target levels.

Or I guess I'll twist it because I'm the type of guy who exercises at least once a month. What I mean by exercise is by running, or the common exercise that we know.

What I will do is that, starting from next week, I'll do 1 push for every 2K of the price of Bitcoin until it reaches $100,000. For ex. the price of Bitcoin right now is $44,000, I'll do 22 push-ups for the day and since I'm not a type of person who does push-ups on a daily basis, I might do it on halves (11 on the day, 11 on the night).

What for? I guess just to motivate myself, I just wanted to participate, and to be a little bit strong I guess. Cheesy Anyway, I'll start it next week, nevertheless.

First:  Part of the purpose of this idea is to add something new to your exercise.  So most of us are adding something new when we decided to get into this push up challenge.

Second:  it sound good to limit your number of push ups in the beginning, but you can probably build up your number higher, and maybe even doing modified push-ups, which means doing them from your knees rather than full body.. and there may also be some other ways to modify them and to make them easier, but if you keep doing them every day, even if you start out with 22, you should be able to increase your number over time... maybe add to the quantity or some other way of adjusting the amount of pushups to your physical limitations.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

If you do have time to spare with some physical activities (which it doesnt really much) then it isnt really bad to consider on doing such act.
Just like on what others been saying above that there's no connection about the two but if you are really that mindful with your physique then its not bad to consider.
There would really be some exemptions like having those physical conditions on which you wouldnt be able to do so.

Its not necessary if you cant be able to perform that 100 yet this is a lot of push ups. Even myself cant really be able to completely done it on one go,
maybe i would be able to make 30 or more at my best but having that gradual increase is your way to go.

I don't care if people keep up with the challenge or not.  I only care about letting them know it's going on so that they too can become stronger individuals.  If you want to fake that you are participating, I'm fine with that.  You are only depriving yourself and with faking it maybe you'll inspire someone else in the process, so I still see it as a positive.
Sound epic and fun too, though being long I actually do some serious pushup or exercise, and was actually planning to start but seeing this thread I'm now more motivated in hitting the pushups think I would also love to give it a try ( ain't going 100 ones I would try hitting the recent price first which is around 44). And it would also help in building an healthy body, as he said better money Better body Grin

I assume everyone is doing this anyway.  We should all constantly be accumulating Bitcoin.  Otherwise, why are you here?  I've been mining crypto and getting paid in Bitcoin for more than a dozen years now and continue to do it to the tune of a few dollars per day.  Many of us also are enrolled in paid signature programs.  This post alone acts as a $4 DCA buy for me.  Yesterday I made a sale of goods that netted me $165 in BTC.  I think it's important that people who are here for this birth of a new asset class take part in it's growth.  Don't just watch from the sidelines.  Get involved.  Same with this push-up challenge.  Don't just post on this thread and watch everyone get so strong they can bench press a car.  Get involved!  Join us on our march to health and wealth.

If 100 a day is too much, maybe try to start with whatever "K" the Bitcoin price is at and work your way up to 100 along with Bitcoin.  Smiley

This new challenge will be a way to promote fitness amongst bitcoin enthusiasts because if an enthusiast can be disciplined with the challenge and keep up with the push-ups, it can just be the start of a fitness journey alongside the investment journey that we are already on. The 100 push up a day can be the reason why this challenge gets ignored, maybe because some people need another exercise routine and not push-ups. If you are not interested in push-ups, I think it is permitted to use another exercise routine like squatting or planking as substitute and continue until bitcoins gets to $100k.

Interesting too, maybe I'll try 20 push ups first because I'm fat. Push ups are the same as lifting our own body, if your body is thin it is very easy to start with large amounts. Because my body is fat, I try to start with push ups 20 times in 3 sets a day, namely in the morning after waking up, in the afternoon, and at night before going to bed.
And I will try consistently and when doing 20 push ups a day 3 sets works some days, I will add 25 times a day 3 sets too and so on I will do it gradually until I reach 100 push ups I will do 3 sets a day and I am confident my body will be ideal and muscular if I achieve it.

I think this push up method is good to apply in Bitcoin investment, especially the DCA strategy.
Do it gradually according to our abilities and there must also be an effort to increase the number of purchases so that we have more Bitcoin if we can do it consistently.

It's great to hear that but I'm too lazy to do 100 pushups a day but why pushups only we can do something that anyone can follow not only a few people. Here's my take on it, I will walk 100 minutes a day without taking breaks until Bitcoin reaches $100k.

I'm sure walking 100 minutes a day is much better for health than 100 push ups, and it can be done by anyone even the old guys. I believe Phillipma1957 and others can also follow the walking challenge as that will be helpful for their health also.

so that's 90 seconds of plank today edit Total 100 seconds of plank

also did 20 minutes on the stationary and pulled rubber bands for 3 of those 20 minutes.



I ate a huge lunch today
