It's great to hear that but I'm too lazy to do 100 pushups a day but why pushups only we can do something that anyone can follow not only a few people. Here's my take on it, I will walk 100 minutes a day without taking breaks until Bitcoin reaches $100k.

I'm sure walking 100 minutes a day is much better for health than 100 push ups, and it can be done by anyone even the old guys. I believe Phillipma1957 and others can also follow the walking challenge as that will be helpful for their health also.

I am not against your idea of walking, but you likely need some resistance training too, and pushups are good for that...and sure there might be some guys who have to substitute the kind of resistance training that they can do... but walking is not generally considered resistance training and sure it is better than nothing, but if that is the only exercise that you do and you get old, you might have some difficulties keeping up enough muscle mass... yes some parts of exercise might not feel good, especially if some of us might have had periods of less activity or maybe even neglecting certain kinds of exercises that remain important even if we might not feel like doing them... but of course, it is up to you if you are able to do any resistance training, I think that would be more in the spirit of the idea, even if you might not like the idea of pushups, you surely can substitute... such as body squats or stairs.. but stairs might ONLY be borderline resistance training.

Here are my to-date push-up numbers:

Date   Total P_Ups   RunTot
2/5/24   50             50
2/6/24   70             120
2/7/24   50             170
2/8/24   64             234

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

I have been on 25 push-ups per day for a long time now, although not motivated by anything but just the need to keep fit. With this new challenge and Bitcoin as a factor, I'm completely in. I do not think I can start with 100 push-ups at first because adjusting to x4 might strain the body so much as I'm used to 25 push-ups like I said before. When I started the 25 push-ups, it was a little painful at the initial stages and I almost stopped at the third day due to muscle pains from my body weight; I don't want a repeat of that.

Maybe I will do it in an arithmetic progression manner which is a daily increase of 5 push-ups until I achieve the 100 push-ups. This way I wouldn't encounter any muscle sprain. So 25 push-ups first day, 30 push-ups the next day, 35 push-ups the following day and so on.

So I ended up doing the first 200 push ups of life today. lol it was a whole lot of experience.
Got so much pain from yesterday push up and I had to take some energy drink to get myself up in class.

Today I did 50 in the morning although not straight 50, I had to split 10 for every 20 minutes and succeeded with it. after my classes in college I went home got some rest and hit up again 25 and now 25 again. I'm freaking tired right now. OgNasty this challenge is pretty much painful but no one forced me so it's on me.  Cool

Right now I'm already experiencing some strains.. but it's matter of time will get over it, another beautiful experience was increasing my little stash of Bitcoin at least I have to grow in health and wealth  Grin

Too old for 100 pushups a day but I will plank for more than 100 seconds every day starting today.

Oh no, here in Africa we call your caliber "Papa" so you should stress yourself with this kind of challenge.

Well hope you get more good health through your planks, I'm really impressed and motivated with your decision sir! if you could plank in this challenge I guess I should add more push up to myself. lol

ohbase on what you just say doing plank was the right choice. Though plank still ain't easy but still more preferable than push up for someone like your age range. Like back then when u was still engaging in various exercise I remembered that plank was not as easy as it's seems mostly when it's come to side plank. But still is Very Effective and helpful to your health in many ways.

left side plank for 17 seconds
right side plank for 33 seconds
pushup plank for 40 seconds edit did this for 50 seconds

so that's 90 seconds of plank today edit Total 100 seconds of plank

also did 20 minutes on the stationary and pulled rubber bands for 3 of those 20 minutes.

I ate a huge lunch today

4 bratwurt sausages
broccoli
salad
sauerkraut

and a cheat cheese cake with whipped cream this was a happy birthday to me dinner

I will skip most of my dinner tonight and go back on the bike.
Damn the fact that many users is taking this more serious have got me all pump up (but not as the way bitcoin gonna pumps or increase in the next bull market because is gonna be massive)  but still am pumped up. To be honest philipma1957 you are really hitting it, wow this nice all this plank ain't no easy task but you still pulling up such age that prove that yah really strong as say plank is also not a easy task so don't over work your self out. then I guess I got to try and make some good progress on my pushups. Am hitting bitcoin today  price range at first ones have get the hang of it then I will try 100 pushups  Grin wish you all the best and good health.

We’re all feeling the pain together brother but I think if we fight through it we’ll be glad we did. I’m not a doctor though so if you blow out your shoulder then this thread never existed. Smiley

I just hit the 666 push-up mark and decided it was a good time to take a break and eat some pizza while I take in this Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin.

i broke the votes as a Tie breaker and voted for "Giving a Shot" but will start with at least 50k till I reach that 100k
because I have been making push up a day but it is 30 reps per day and that is enough for me before going to
shower and head in to work but this challenge will give me more motivation as I believe 100k is around the corner.

100 push-ups a day is such a huge number. If achieved and done until post halving, it simply means we all will be physically fit to enjoy the bitcoin ride. Before bitcoin finally hits $100k, those of us who will join this challenge will be bearing large chests, huge muscles, daring strength and most importantly deep pockets BTC Cheesy

It is just a matter of working out ways of achieving this, bearing in mind our individual peculiarities such as health status. Indeed, this is yet another great innovative idea by @OgNasty, a good gift to the bitcoin community.

Interesting too, maybe I'll try 20 push ups first because I'm fat. Push ups are the same as lifting our own body, if your body is thin it is very easy to start with large amounts. Because my body is fat, I try to start with push ups 20 times in 3 sets a day, namely in the morning after waking up, in the afternoon, and at night before going to bed.
And I will try consistently and when doing 20 push ups a day 3 sets works some days, I will add 25 times a day 3 sets too and so on I will do it gradually until I reach 100 push ups I will do 3 sets a day and I am confident my body will be ideal and muscular if I achieve it.

I think this push up method is good to apply in Bitcoin investment, especially the DCA strategy.
Do it gradually according to our abilities and there must also be an effort to increase the number of purchases so that we have more Bitcoin if we can do it consistently.

Do it slowly if you can't have difficulty. Also take long rest if needed. If you can't make 20 a day, then try for 10 first. Don't force your body as you will be sore the next day. Just try to improved daily, it's doesn't mean that you will go 100 in the first day.

It's a challenge so yeah, at least it can hit two birds with one stone. We improved our fitness and our body and even our mind because it also involved disciple. And then we invest, DCA until BTC reaches $100k this year. So it's really doable.

Og nasty, basically I do 35 to 40 push up a day but today I tried going past that number but I almost broke my waist Lol but however, am gonna continue trying to pass that number but Og Nasty by then my muscles must have added ×2 but it is worth it because looking at the price of Bitcoin as at now it's $46,187 and from how it's been moving faster since yesterday, it's very obvious that $100k can be obtainable hence it should be something that should boost everyone's morale and confidence spirit to be part of this challenge.

I think I've got a new task now to fulfill each day but Og Nasty if I break my waist be ready to take me to the hospital Lol!

you know I saw this thread yesterday and I didn't reply anything because I was thinking how possible would that be? Just a kind of illusion, that how on earth can a Push up be a driving force to Bitcoin growth? But after seeing this thread yesterday I also start noticing that bitcoin price has started pushing up gradually as if  @OgNasty is a suit sayer. How on earth can this happen just from yesterday till today bitcoin price was able to move from $43k to $46k what an illicious reality. Anyways I am going to make a trial today. Anything that will make the price of bitcoin pump is my pleasure and priority. Let the push up begins. Although I know it might be a very big task to me but I will try, for the sake of Bitcoin I can do anything.

Bitcoin is headed to $100,000 and that's not speculation. OK, maybe it is, but the 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K challenge is real and has been echoing throughout the community for a week now, so I thought I would make a thread here for those of us who want to try and hold ourselves accountable.

The first video that comes up when you do a quick search for this is Jae from Proof of Work Fitness, so I'll give him credit for kicking off this trend until someone corrects me with better information.  You can see his video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPrsA7gBc3U

I myself started this challenge on 2/2/24 and hope to inspire other Bitcoiners to take this step to help build some muscle in the community.

Here's a video showing you what happens to your body after doing 100 push-ups a day for a month and gives some tips on proper form: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euPXf2hqU3s

My only real tips would be to not worry about trying to do 100 push-ups at once.  Break them down into as small of sets as you need to keep from hurting yourself.  I also prefer doing push-ups on my knuckles as I think it saves my wrists from a lot of stress.

If 100 a day is too much, maybe try to start with whatever "K" the Bitcoin price is at and work your way up to 100 along with Bitcoin.  Smiley

Who's in?!?!?

Sounds cool to challenge yourself with this aim and for sure we became more healthier with doing that while waiting for bitcoin to reach up $100k price.

Its undeniable that lots of us here doesn't have any exercise routine since we are busy hustling online especially on what we do on crypto space. So no wonder many would like the idea about this challenge and for sure will consider to join about this challenge.

For sure there will be many people got interest about this challenge since this is new topic to talk about by people.

Well I already have a work out routine.

Due to diabetes I effort to ride the stationary 20 minutes after every meal.

All the while pulling rubber resistant bands.

I also walk two to four times a week.

My new doctor wants me to add core work.

He suggested crunchs but they feel wrong where my mesh was added under my umbilical hernia.

Pushups are also a solid strain on the mesh.  But side planks and pushups two handed planks seem doable.

I feel the core getting worked but I don’t feel too much strain on the mesh.

off topic anyone watching San Remo 2024 music festival?

I might be right there with you.  I can't say I've experienced any waist pain yet, but my elbow is feeling the pain a bit.  I broke it last summer and it was out of commission for a couple months but I thought I'd rehabilitated it enough to be good as new.  Apparently not as I can definitely feel it now.  I'm going to push through it though and see how it goes.  As long as I don't need pain meds to function, I'll stick with it.
Today's push-ups seem like they're going to be a bit of a challenge, but I'll get through them as if Bitcoin's rally depends on it.  $47K!

did the bike 🚲 and the rubber bands. going to plank next.

It's not really an easy task though. after accepting the challenge yesterday my mood change After I did 100push today. My arms and elbow has pass through hell. As a matter fact I was sleeping throughout today after I did it. My body is like a seperated motor part that needs to be fixed. But I believe consistency will keep the moving trian on track.

yeah do not push to hard.

I just did a 36 second right side plank
and a 36 second push up style plank.

I need to do a left side plank for at least 28 seconds and I will be at 100 seconds of plank for the day.

and did a 30 second left side plank.

brings me to 102 seconds of plank.

they are not as long as I can do at the moment.

but 100k may take time so with luck maybe I can do

40+40+40 by march 1 and then 50+50+50 by the ½ ing.

off to my home made chicken soup for lunch.

working on the diabetes. i finally needed meds. dropped a1c from 8.4 to 6.8 looking to get to 6.0

also looking to drop cholesterol  form 105 to 70.  this is the bad number as there are 3 numbers that make it up.

Bitcoin at $100k is approaching, won’t it take too many months to do push-ups with this situation?

I would agree to another challenge: 100 push-ups a day for 100 sat a day. Smiley

I myself started this challenge on 2/2/24 and hope to inspire other Bitcoiners to take this step to help build some muscle in the community.
Great. But it seems to me that here inspiration would be more effective in influencing the bitcoiners with the help of donations for each (100) push-ups. Smiley It is impossible to imagine the magical BTC effect has on the community. Smiley
