I tried my best today to push myself to a new limit since I've just been doing mostly 50 to 100pushups daily, so I did a total of 140 pushups at the gym because that's the only place I can get the motivation I need to pass my limits so did 4 varying numbers 1st was 30, 2nd was 40, took a 30mins break then the 4th was 35 and the last was another 35, and then I did little lower body workouts, 30 squats, then toes stands for 2mins on each leg, started heavy ended it feeling energetic and great.

So now I'm home and I saw my last report so I did extra 10pushups to make a round figure 150

Wish my arms could feel like jelly... joint exhaustion/discomfort comes before muscle fatigue, sadly. TLDR joint issues.
Kind words. Its just a matter of time and consistency and I'd have me some muscles on my not-so-skinny frame. Indeed, it's not the end!

Some of us were never built for bulk. Many years ago I tried to load up with eggs and milk and meat for weeks and gained nothing, but got sick every day haha. I've since learnt not to worry about BMI too much (I'm underweight, even with my dad pouch emerging) and to listen to your body Wink
Even though some of us were never built for bulk, I believe if we engage ourselves in bodybuilding, we will see little improvement in our body, and our strength will increase. Loading yourself up with eggs, milk, and meat isn't a guarantee you will gain weight. You need to do exercise if you want the eggs, milk, and meat you are loading yourself with to help you gain weight.

Working out is very hard to continue especially when you're doing it alone, it seems like you're doing nothing or there's no competition. Sometimes I wish I had someone to push me to that limit where I'd do something I haven't done before like a number of push up, let's say like 500+ in different sets. Well, no need to mount any pressure on myself but it becomes more funny when we have people around doing the same thing we're doing.

Surely, this thread provides a vehicle in which many of us can continue our push-ups as if we were to have someone physically next to us.

Of course, we do not have the physical presence to contribute to the pressure - which has its plusses and minuses.. which is the same thing that we experience with deceptions in other assets, such as gold.  In recent times, there have been folks who have been distracted by the appearance of value in gold based on its physical presence - yet the physical presence has a cost too, which is part of the explanation why so many folks end up buying paper gold and also not even realizing that paper gold is part of the reason why gold had historically been losing its value in the physical space.
Of a truth physical presence matters a lot when it comes to pushups exercise and it goes little beyond the motivation we get from the Pushups table and virtual companionship we get from this thread. This is why most times I wish that every day would be weekends because that is the period I use to be sure of meeting friends who usually come out for our weekend workout of which we usually start with jogging through about 2 to 3 km followed by various other exercises like leg works and weight lifting even though I'm not very good at weight lifting and don't also like engaging in it. Doing pushups alongside your friends can push you to go beyond your limits most times in many ways which could come as a bet or as a challenge.

Again, engaging in push-ups with other physically present friends do allow someone to gist and while away time and also rest together while also discussing businesses and other life circumstances.


I am not doing a good job of this attempt to relate matters back to current dynamics in the bitcoin space, even though at the same time, there are likely so many of us (perhaps even all of us) who are participating in this thread who would not either be doing pushups or would be doing way fewer pushups if we did not have this place to log our results in a social way... even though none of us can specifically verify which of us are doing the pushups we claim to be doing and which of us not, even if we might have some level of confidence in regards to some of the members participating in this thread doing the pushups that they claim to be doing.  

We also have quite a few newbies, and it tends to take time before any of us are going to have some level of confidence that the newbies are doing the pushups that the claim to be doing.. and even at the same time, the mere fact that some of us have years and years participating in this forum, there still should be some level of skepticism that some of us might not be doing the pushups that we claim to be doing, which is also to highlight that representations in this thread are on the honor system.
I have earlier suspected that some people would not be true to their reports but since the benefits of engaging in pushups is completely personal, I didn't see need for any drag. Anyone can make a report to have engaged in a million pushups anyday, but he can only have the benefits of engaging in a million pushups if he had actually engaged in it. One thing is that anyone who understands pushups exercise and the benefits one can get from it will not in anyway lie about engaging in push-ups when he's not actually doing it. Last time when I sustained sprain during one of my pushups exercise, I realised later during the healing process when I started pressing the palm hard on the floor to get some pushups even though it was always less than my usual numbers ; I noticed that engaging in the pushups was assisting in the healing process.

There are numerous benefits that are not defined that one gains from the exercise which until you start engaging in the exercise, you won't understand it. So anyone who wishes to be playing around thinking he's deceiving anyone might just end up wasting his time at the long run.

By the way Sexylizzy2813, don't get me wrong.  There is something value about the physical space, so our virtual space cannot completely take away from a certain value that comes from physical verifiability and physical interactions with real people in meat space, so for sure, I am not saying that I have the balance figured out, even in my own real world physical interactions.
Physical interaction is motivational but if you use it as the only reason to engage in pushup, you may end up not engaging in pushups when you change location or get separated from your folks. So I believe that this thread should go a long way to motivate anyone to push further always.

Monday started too early and I was able to get 5 sets of 20 pushups so far.

After asking few questions last week here in this forum about how to go about my push ups, and getting few clarifications from one the members here,  I had wishes to start my push ups immediately, but bits of delay because I wanted to get my mind totally ready for this daily exercise, am now am ready and mind made up.

The plan was to finish up my push ups in the morning and report immediately, but was carried away with a duty call I had that early period. But this is the report here now.

Since I had been away from push ups for not less than a year now, I has managed to complete just 60 push ups. I pushed 20× for just once, and then 10× in four different sets after intervals of resting. I know with time I would improve.

Even if this cycle is over, it's important to start preparing for the next one now. Bitcoin is no longer as volatile as it used to be. Even if we enter a bear market, the drop won't be massive.

I do understand that we can only invest with what we can only afford to lose with our discretionary income incase if the bear market happens anytime and pushing continuously is ever our goal and we that is newly in the forum should continue buying Bitcoin little by little using dollar cost average, i have made up my mind to continue pushing as my old age can carry me in this push-ups challenge.

From study, observations and history of Bitcoin, it is clear that Bitcoin tends to be more rewarding to investors that buys and Hodl for long term(4-10) years or even more. I believe that investors all over the world who plans of having great future rewards from bitcoin should know this and must and/or should have plans meet up with such decline in price period of bitcoin so that they are able to Consistently buy Bitcoin and Hodl without pressure to sell immediately because of the fall in price.

So the advice to keep up with your investment by acquiring Bitcoin bit by bit consistently by EFS is a good one and must be followed. At least, the more consistent one stays in accumulation, the more stash is owned in the next circle of years. Keeping up with daily push ups too is sacrosanct for daily fitness and health benefits too

BTC is back up to $110,000, a little more, almost $111,000. There's no way we're going below $100,000, so keep it up.
Today was my push-up day. I did push-ups, diamond push-ups, dips, and archer push-ups. A total of 100 reps.
After the workout, I worked on my core, then had a sauna and a shower before leaving the gym. I hadn't been in a sauna in a while, it's nice to go there when the weather gets colder.

I totally agree with you sir, in the fact that some members here are not actually doing push-ups that they claim they are doing, and this particular thread is for individual benefits which the push-ups exercise will help some one with their physical and mental health and if their are members that is here that is not doing push-ups daily and claims that they are doing pushups, actually those sets of members are doing their self and missing allot of benefits from the push-ups exercise, and that is why sometimes on the process of doing push-ups routine i will take myself picture to always stand as an evidence of me doing pushups and if there is a way that thread can be modernize for us to always through before reporting our push-ups then we will certain that when one reports his push-ups exercise is truly doing it.

I don't think your push ups are going to stop. I heard that the price of Bitcoin will start to rise again. If that's the case, then maybe you'll have to continue doing push ups every day for a few more months. But I'm not sure. But your morale is strong.
Who is stopping push up? If it stop here doesn't mean you also stop doing push up.
I think bitcoin has rise little and it will rise in the future so the is best thing to do is to keep buying bitcoin and don't always be cheeking on the price but focus on buying more bitcoin and hodl.

Today along with 200 push-ups, I worked on my legs. This is probably the most disliked workout, but we need to train the lower body as much as the upper body. It's essential for a balanced physique.

BTC is back up to $110,000, a little more, almost $111,000. There's no way we're going below $100,000, so keep it up.
Today was my push-up day. I did push-ups, diamond push-ups, dips, and archer push-ups. A total of 100 reps.
After the workout, I worked on my core, then had a sauna and a shower before leaving the gym. I hadn't been in a sauna in a while, it's nice to go there when the weather gets colder.

We came to this thread in February-ish 2024 based on various ideas floating around amongst various bitcoiners in and out of this forum in regards to the whole idea of working up to being able to do 100 pushups per day to have an aspiration for the BTC price to break above $100k.. and that was USD.. which is our context and referenced currency pair.

It continues to be retarded for OgNasty to spout out dumb-ass ideas in regards to changing the reference, merely because the BTC price went above $100k in December 2024.. and has spent almost all of its time above $100k since early May of this calendar year. There are almost no bitcoin forum threads or other popular talking points in which any currency other than the dollar is discussed in any kind of meaningful way as the general reference point.. so OgNasty remains distracted, just like anyone who adopts such a non-dollar pairing reference as if it were meaningful and/or agreed to, even though the distracted twat is the owner of this thread, so sure, he can do all kinds of of dumb shit out of spite or whatever his lame and distracted motives for such.

Earlier he had proclaimed that he was changing the thread topic in order to be in compliance with some appropriatness of topic, since some forum members were making a stink about this thread.

In regards to any other reference currency, sure there can be some fun in that, but not to take seriously as if it were the goal of the members who have been participating in this thread.  Surely in recent times, there has been a lot of discussion of gold - yet that is likely a wee bit of a distraction too.. . even though at least gold has had some historical attempts to serve sound money purposes in the past.. and the mere fact that the british pound "used to be" the world reserve currency has nearly no bearing on any kind of need to reference it, rather than referencing the dollar..

I went for a modified pushup my pushup will be more modified pushup because it's more easier to do and there are exercise women (girls) shouldn't do so they won't get muscular like men (boys).

Thanks for the advice JayJuanGee and OgNasty suggesting a modified pushup for me it was a little easier to perform my two knees was on the floor my legs a bit up while my two hands was also on the floor then i went down up, the first time i did 10 modified pushup while 8 the second which was the last, so i have done 18 pushup (modified) on my first day.

It is easier if you are working from a computer rather than a phone.

Just type up your first response, and perhaps delete out the portions of the post that you consider to not be relevant to your draft response, then you can draft your next response in another window, and once the draft to the second post is finished, then just cut and past the second response at the end of the first response.

Of course, you can review how your post is going to look prior to posting it by clicking on preview, and preview does not really do anything except to provide a draft of your post (above your working area) prior to your posting it... I think that preview also allows the the draft post to be saved to your browser memory, yet you might still lose it if you close your window prior to posting it.

I tend to draft posts and then just keep the window open until I am done adding all of my responses.  Sometimes I will break the posts into two if to me it is starting to feel that the drafts are getting to be too long. and/or too many topics.

Of course there also might be times in which you post, and then you see that you made several mistakes after you had already posted the message, and so you can go back through an edit your post, to fix any mistakes that you might have noticed that you had made after your already having had posted your message (or perhaps several messages that are all within the same post).

That sounds good. .. I recall when I started I was sore all over, especially in the beginning and the soreness has not completely gone away, even though I am way more accustomed to pushups now as compared in the beginning when it took me nearly two weeks to get up to 100 pushups in a day, and likely the main reason that I was even able to do 100 or more in a day was based on my spreading the pushups throughout the day and allowing my body to get used to them and to recover.

It is possible that after several weeks, you might start to conclude whether you like pushups being in your daily routine (or however frequent that you are going to do them) or if you might want to abandon the idea and perhaps do some other kinds of an exercise that you find to be more suitable to your preferences, whether it is your strength preferences or your appearance preferences.

Your pushup report seems to be missing a separation between the date and the total quantity of your pushups.. perhaps you meant to write 14,450.. You have about 16 hours to fix it prior to DirtyKeyboard's script running and putting the contents of your report into the pushups table.
