He can also negotiate for his next fight which can happen as early as April next year and then start training by January.

That's the reason why he announce his retirement since Ryan already know his faith regarding on the investigation happening to him and he maybe get a hint about the possible result so to ease up certain controversy regarding when the result came he create a scene so people would ever forget about that issue and people will stick on his retirement announcement. But I believe there are less boxing fans believe on what he's saying since for sure after the ban will be lift out for sure he will be back on the scene and find another big fight since that's how boxers earn a living so for now as you said he provably get a good rest then think about better plan for his comeback next year.

As for Haney, he is mentally damaged. I believe he will stop boxing for a year or even more and contemplate on that embarrassment Ryan did to him. And it's good that the WBC made the mandatory defense for Sandor Martin who deserved a long overdue title shot.

According to him, he was meted with a one year ban in boxing by the NYSAC. That's a long sentence but it is what it is. He now have a lot of time in his hands, yeah, why not fight outside of the US go to Saudi and look for fighters like Conor or even Suga Sean O'Malley?

Devin Haney was badly humiliated in that fight despite the biased officiating by the referee and the judges. Because of the bad officiating, more people sided with Ryan while Haney's memes and the speculations of him taking a shit on his pants circulated around the world. They Haney's are full of pride so it not surprising that they are mentally affected.

@bisdak40. My prediction for King Ry vs. Devin Haney 2. Yes they will fight again after 2 years, however, this will be in welterweight division where the will be comfortable with the weight. Devin Haney will be holding 1 or 2 of the welterweight championships already and King Ry will have a tune up fight which he will win with a knockout before the rematch.

His baby to be exact. The father loves his baby so much. He's hurt when his baby is hurt. For Bill, babysitting is best for babies up to 30 years and beyond. LOL!

Devin's a different boxer now. However he wants to believe that he's still undefeated and that he's only been cheated, it was an actual experience. Well we can understand where Bill is coming from, and we have seen a lot of father and son tandem in boxing and probably this is one of the closest in the last couple of years that he knows how his son is hurt and so they want to extract more from Ryan Garcia so at least to alleviate that pain that his son is suffering. True even in the early years of sports, everything is business, but it was evident in the last 20 years are every one wanted to get a lot of money fighting. After all, there capital is their fist and they train almost for the entire year for their life and they put their lives every time. So it make sense that they will demand millions in every fight. However, I don't think that Haney will experience 8 figures again in future fights unless it could be high profile like Tank at 140 lbs or Teo Lopez.

And with that, does it mean that Sandor Martin vs Devin Haney is not going to push through? And he forget one important thing, that is Devin is not going to get huge money fighting Sandor Martin. And it was Top Rank of all the promoters that bid here, not his Match Room that won and so it was a slap on Haney's face that Eddie Hearn chooses to bid small and not interested to set up the fight.

So good for Puello to be elevated as full champion. But then again, WBC is one of the most corrupt if not the most corrupt governing body in boxing with the Sulaiman's on top for many decades already.
