Personally I don’t think that traders know that long term holding is the best, most of them think and believe trading to be better and it has become part of their psychology. The patience of long term holding seems like a waste of time and opportunity for them and their greed level is high especially if they’re able to making little profits despite the losses, they’ll always feel they can win it back big. That’s why I often liken traders to gamblers but some people say they’re different.
They may know that accumulating Bitcoin and then hodl for long is best but they need quick money and also inpatients to be able to hodl for a long time, another thing you should know is that every body can never be a Bitcoin investors there will always be traders who are there for short time gain, those who were lucky enough to make some little profits from trading Bitcoin thinks that that's the best way to make profits from Bitcoin and most of them also losses huge money while trading. Those accumulating Bitcoin and hodl will surely make more profit than those gambling around with their Bitcoin investment.

To me comparing trading with Bitcoin seems a bit irrelevant. In my eyes Bitcoin is a long race horse. Just looking at its past you can understand why so many people accumulate it for the future. It is more sensible to build a position over time than to chase short term price movements.

Yes some can profit by trading but looking at the big talk and lifestyle of traders on social media you cannot understand the whole picture. In reality how many can profit consistently is the real question. Most traders end up losing money in the end hoping for quick profit.

And one good thing about Bitcoin is that it is not just for high income people. Even someone with $10 discretionary income can start according to their ability and someone with $100k income can also invest according to their capability.

Ultimately patience consistency and a long term mindset are more important in Bitcoin investment. To me accumulating slowly rather than chasing quick profits is a more practical approach.

Psychologically, not even that traders don't know that long-term holding is the Best but being carried away with quick gains or profit irrespective of what is best has been one major reason why there are traders not minding the unavoidable loses that has always been experienced by many traders. History can't be changed even if people tell lies about it, history has it that long-term holders or investors are usually flavored making long-term holding the best irrespective of the intrigue for quick gains.

Of course traders are aware that holding Bitcoin for a very long term is the best and safest yet they decide to be fucking around the market trying to make the thousands and millions a single day or sometimes even some few minutes which doesn't work all the time because no matter how reliable and effective your strategy is, price will not respect or obey it all the time and in such cases they incur loss unlike when you are holding your Bitcoin, you don't care what is happening immediately because your focus is on the long run.
I think most of this traders are individuals who are more interested in making quick profits, they know that trading isn’t safe, but they will intentionally want to try their lucks with trading, however people who are interested to invest in bitcoin for a long term would feel more comfortable with buying and holding bitcoin compared to people who are interested in quick profits.

People who always have the time to watch the market and speculate about the market are people who I think are interested in buying bitcoin through the buying the dip.

Making investments actively does not imply engaging beyond your income, purchasing Bitcoin on credit, or investing for everyday expenses. Given your financial condition, invest a considerable amount of the money that remains as discretionary income after paying your basic expenses and obligations. If a person's basic needs are low, their discretionary income may be higher, allowing them to invest more cash. On the other hand, if their expenses are considerable, their disposable income may be severely limited. In this instance, a minimal investment is justified.

Active investment does not guaranty the same quantity of profit to everybody. It is related to the individual's financial abilities. If you wish to invest aggressively, you should first build a strong financial basis. Cover your essential bills and obligations. Then, based on your disposable income, calculate how much you can invest. Starting small is not a weakness. And spending extra does not guaranty results.

People who always have the time to watch the market and speculate about the market are people who I think are interested in buying bitcoin through the buying the dip.

I also think the main difference here is mindset. Those who want to make quick profits can try short term trading or repeatedly catching dips. But for this the market has to be observed regularly entry exit timing has to be fixed and if it is wrong there is also a risk of loss. On the other hand those who see Bitcoin as a long term investment do not need to sit and watch the market every day. They can accumulate slowly from their discretionary income by DCA and hold it for the long term. There may be an opportunity to buy extra when the dip comes but waiting for the dip to come or when it will come is not very practical for me.

In the end no one can say for sure in advance where the market will be the lowest or highest. So for me it is more sensible to accumulate in a disciplined way and let time work in your favor. Being a long term Bitcoin holder is a much more peaceful approach than predicting the market for quick profits.

This is the fact, as we have long-term and short term investors, not everyone will prefer long-term investment even though they know that, it is what is suppose to be.
There are people whose main purpose in Bitcoin is to make quick money, they don't care to know if they can achieve that aim or not, what they know is that, they want to make mone, which is there primary concern, these set of people has been there, right from the beginning, but the reality is, Bitcoin is a serious asset with potentials, and if anyone wants to get involved with Bitcoin, short term mentality needs to be replaced with long-term vision, for a good returns to be realized.

I think even traders knows that holding bitcoin for a long period of time is more profitable and less risky but that urge of making quick profit won’t allow them to leave trading, they see it as part of their daily routine. Another big reason why a lot of people tend to involve in trading is that they need something to solve their immediate problem and investing seems like something that will take forever to them.

A lot of people are very much aware of the risk, they know is very similar to gambling but then it not something they can do away with. At the end I will always say It a matter of preference or choice. Everyone knows which Is more risker and they always have a choice.

Everyone have their role to play as a longterm and a shortterm investor. There will always be those that focus on short term profit , and also those that focus on both . Like I usually tell folks , there’s nothing bad being a trader but make sure your investment is different from your trading money , balancing both your short term goals and your long term investments, because you can’t completely tell someone that has been trading for years now to just stop but you can advice them to have some portion of bitcoin stash in their wallet for long term investment.

You are right to some extent but hope you know that will take a high level of discipline likewise responsibility, first before someone will go into trading they should have this self discipline knowing when to say no and when to say yes, knowing when to let go of the market after loss because if you do not have discipline you can not stay away after incurring loss. And if you can not..,, you can decide to sell your investment to chase loss if you have blown your account so it can be a distraction and it will affect your long term investment. I will advise to focus on one.

Those who are patient enough not to hold on to the ideal trading for a long time prefer short-term profits. It is true that there is an opportunity to identify long-term investments and short-term ones. Without looking bad from the strategy, the investor becomes unrealistic and seems to lack uniqueness. Based on the market or technology rather than hunting for his own property. If someone is involved in short-term trading for many years, he gains knowledge and ends up because of this I have no reason to stop him. Investment is everyone's personal decision. If someone can organize by trading, it is his choice and success. Remember that someone is not successful because he is investing long-term. Many investors are long in the middle. No strategy is a complete lesson. So personal initiative should be taken.

Ohh Stive0 nobody is comparing trading to bitcoin, we all know which is best. Your tone of message indicates you didn’t understand the direction we were going even as some of your comments are making sense. We are merely talking about traders and the mindset they have.
You know that some traders call themselves investors just because they buy bitcoin but that’s not the only criteria that makes an investor.

As long as you are trading, what you call discipline can only last for a while afterwards a time comes when you will eventually start getting it wrong as a result of having a mentality that is following after immediate gratification and not long term satisfaction.

Rather than trying to be too smart with your investment and gambling things out, it is better to set a clear investment strategy and stay true to it regardless what the short term market sentiment points at. Till you have reached your investment goal, selling your asset should not be a part of your investment decision because it is completely going to frustrate the possibility of reaching your investment goal fast enough.

Everyone has the right to pursue what interests them in Bitcoin, whether it is a short-term or long-term investment. However, the problem some people have with Bitcoin investment is that they want to invest to earn good profits quickly.

If one is interested in short-term investments, it is better to understand it and know how to go about it. Likewise, if one is interested in long-term investments, it is also important to understand it and know what to do while investing. The kind of profit one wants from an investment should determine the type of investment to pursue.

I understand your points, who compares Bitcoin investment with trading no one except traders themselves, perhaps because of their immediate objectives, and when these comparisons are made, we owe it as a duty to put them through, so don't that they will understand that such mindset are not needed in other not to misdirect newbies I believing their fallacy and holding into their misconception, Bitcoin investment has not changed from being a long-term investment, these are fact, it is practical, many of us have experienced it, so if anyone is still doing it the other way round, we can't force them to change, maybe they might decide to the right thing when they are been hit because of their action.

You should always move forward with a goal, and no matter what the situation is, you should never deviate from that goal. Whether the market situation decreases or increases, you should never sell your holdings until you reach the time frame you have set. You should set a clear strategy and stick to it in the long term. Those who change their strategy and goals with the situation can never succeed, because they cannot survive in anything. And if you do not manage things perfectly, you will not only not have a chance of success, but you will definitely lose more. So, in the case of Bitcoin, move forward with a long-term goal, keep your purchase consistent in any situation and continue it for 8-10 years according to the goal, then you will see that you will achieve much better success at the end.

Ascertaining the possibility of success in an asset that is extremely volatile such as Bitcoin isn't very realistic...TBH, success isn't guaranteed in Bitcoin even when folks accumulate consistently for a long term periods.. So it is best to erase from your mind over any kind of over expectations from Bitcoin and rather just invest with the mindset that is open to various possibilities... Long term investment is still good anyways since it has higher chances of placing folks in a much more better position as opposed to trading which reduces your chances to let me say the bearest minimum due to how high it risk is...

The uncertainty is the risk we have to take , yeah you are correct there’s no guarantee in bitcoin just like any other investment too . We can’t tell if bitcoin will continue to perform well and beat folks expectations , like it did years back . But the truth is that there’s still room for growth , bitcoin is quite still in its early stage so you won’t want this opportunity to pass you by , accumulate with what you can afford to lose and be ready for any outcome like a true investor.

To me comparing trading with Bitcoin seems a bit irrelevant. In my eyes Bitcoin is a long race horse. Just looking at its past you can understand why so many people accumulate it for the future. It is more sensible to build a position over time than to chase short term price movements.

See it as them trying to defend their choice instead of acknowledging that the other is better and less riskier, i believe that traders do admire investors a lot cause more people succeed in holding than speculating with Bitcoin. Holding for long term is not very easy but those who take the bold step and do it deligently always have good experiences to share.
However it's never easy with traders, it more tough for them than it is for investors, you can make it big out of luck today and lose almost everything the next day, that’s how tough trading is. Sadly, you can't even tell if your choice is right but just make a decision and rely on luck. Such shouldn’t be compared with holding Bitcoin.

i agree with you but not completely because if profit is been removed in bitcoin, you will agree with me that no one will be investing in bitcoin anymore but because profit is involved people will always try to invest and hoping for a better outcome even though it is not guarantee. what i  am saying in essence is that ascertaining the possibility of making success in bitcoin is very realistic to a very large extent. however, it can only be unrealistic when someone is hoping in becoming rich overnight.

In the short term, my algorithms point to a "sell." But if you aren't too concerned about that, the best answer is "buy." Time always favors the BTC BTC bull. Grin
