If you are new to bitcoin then first thing you need to do is start investing without any further wastage of time. In start we need to be aggressive in Bitcoin accumulation until we have some decent number of Bitcoins in our stash and we must not look at price of Bitcoin in our initial phase of accumulation.
Emergency funds are also important and must not be overlooked because they are the one that will help you in holding your bitcoin for longer duration. Keeping this in mind, everyone must figure out that how much emergency funds are sufficient for him and also create a strategy to accumulate them along with Bitcoin accumulation.
This your advice is dangerous man. Bitcoin accumulation is not a race. I don't understand why you are telling new folks to rush into Bitcoin and be aggressive from the beginning. Beginners should first understand their cash flow, figure out discretionary income, split it into three…. One part for DCA, second for building emergency fund(which serves as financial buffer) and the other for discretionary consumption. You should not put everything into Bitcoin and then worry about emergencies later There is no need for a beginner to be aggressive just because he wants to build portfolio quickly. He can start small and decide to be aggressive later according to his financial situation, but be careful not to be over aggressive because of pressure. You cannot just tell folks to rush into investing without considering their financial situation.

Selling your bitcoin when you are still supposed to buying is wrong because doing this you won't get to your bitcoin over accumulation target and when you are use to selling you may sell all of there bitcoin one day and then stay with out holding bitcoin, those who should think selling some bitcoin holding are those long time investors that has accumulated bitcoin and has reached their bitcoin over accumulation phase.
What I need to ask is, where did such an idea come from to do it so boldly? Unless our income and situation are starting to show signs that we can no longer afford to make purchases, this is based on our income decreasing day by day, making it difficult to make purchases as usual. And there's nothing wrong with wanting to sell, because we've already accumulated a lot. So when the economic situation or income declines, one of the things we have to do to survive is to sell the small amount we've accumulated.

If you came to know bitcoin today, within a week time, you must have learnt all the basics of bitcoin, security, emergency fund and must have had a proper understanding on what volatility is about. if you don't understand these things, you might think that just because you bought a particular worth of bitcoin today that the next day your profiting is assured. just like it takes time to build wealth, to build your bitcoin stack also takes time.

What I don't usually get is how people frankly speak against selling when they know that you can not hold this asset till eternity. In one way or the other, you're going to sell it someday. Depending on why you're selling, it's not entirely wrong to sell some part of your asset if it's the last option you have to survive. Your investment is meant to provide for you in the raining days and not otherwise. If you're selling due to fear of market condition, then you are making the wrong decision and you shouldn't have bought it in the first place if you're not ready to hold even on rough times. Actually, there's no fix time to buy or sell, it depends entirely on you and your plan. The important thing is never to sell at lose.

So no one is saying selling of your holding is bad, but only do that when you have reached your goal, and even at that you can’t just sell everything, you can just sell some of it and set another target. Bitcoin investment is for the future, we can just be selling our holdings because we have accumulate much of it.

I think this advise is majorly for investors not someone who is not into investment and if you are not into Bitcoin investment there is nothing wrong with that and it is not an obligation or it is not mandatory that one must invest in Bitcoin else they won't make it or be successful in life that is not true but it is just encouraging and nice to invest if one have a discrestionary income instead of using It on things that are not necessary or things that won't bring a positive feedback.

Nobody said that you shouldn't sell your bitcoin whenever, you feel like it's necessary but it's wrong to start selling part of your bitcoin when you're still in your accumulation stage. There's time for everything time to buy and build, time for portfolio maintenance and time to sell which is the last but if you start selling too quick, you might end up becoming a trader instead of an investor. To avoid premature selling, you have to set up an emergency funds of at least three months of your monthly expenses to take care of any unforseen circumstances that pops up during your accumulation stage. Also, you need to set up a reserve funds too. Bitcoin investment isn't for the raining days but for your future when you can no longer work due to old age. The best time to sell is when you have reached your over accumulation stage and not during your accumulation stage because it will slow you down from reaching your bitcoin target. It's just like you're building and at the same time destroying what you are building

You cannot just tell folks to rush into investing without considering their financial situation. Starting to invest in Bitcoin does not mean that you have to pour a large amount of money into it and quickly build a portfolio. The first task of a new investor is to understand your financial capacity. Buying a large amount of Bitcoin without making it clear how much financial pressure you can handle can be risky. Especially, emergency money should not be combined with investment money. If someone does not have emergency cash in hand and has to sell Bitcoin to meet the need, then a situation may arise in which they have to sell at a loss during a market decline. Some people have more family responsibilities while others may already have enough emergency savings. Therefore, the amount of DCA should also depend on the person's cash flow and financial security. For some, regular DCA of small amounts may be suitable, while someone in a financially strong position can invest relatively more. Therefore, it is more responsible to strengthen your financial foundation and do DCA regularly rather than giving beginners the mentality that they have to deposit more Bitcoin quickly.

I believe that creating an emergency fund before investing in Bitcoin is a bad idea. snip
Maybe it's more accurate to say "forcing yourself" to set up an emergency fund before even thinking about accumulating Bitcoin... because even though an emergency fund is recommended when investing in Bitcoin, if someone has limited funds, they could try to accumulate Bitcoin first.. after all, the main priority is to accumulate Bitcoin first, because delaying accumulating Bitcoin is like missing out on a good opportunity, whereas an emergency fund can be built gradually over time. Someone doesn't necessarily have to build the entire emergency fund at once because you can keep setting aside a little bit of your funds for it while continuing to accumulate Bitcoin.. the important thing is that you really need to set up an emergency fund because it's something that can cover you when unexpected expenses come up, so you don't have to sell your Bitcoin.

If one decides to invest after creating an emergency fund, then it is definitely a waste of time. Instead of doing this, it is possible to create both continuous investments and emergency savings together, keeping both in half and half. Until the emergency fund is created, you can continue to invest with 50% and create an emergency fund with 50%. This way, when the emergency fund is completely created, you can continue to invest with the whole amount. But it is not necessary to delay investing just to create an emergency fund, and it should not be done. First of all, you have to start investing, after starting investing, everything can be created.
If you are new to bitcoin then first thing you need to do is start investing without any further wastage of time. In start we need to be aggressive in Bitcoin accumulation until we have some decent number of Bitcoins in our stash and we must not look at price of Bitcoin in our initial phase of accumulation. Inasmuch as people often encourage getting started instead of delaying time in a bid to acquire basic knowledge or build emergency funds. Telling newbies to be aggressive just because they’re starting is a wrong approach. You don’t need to put unnecessary pressure on the investor. Aggressive investing is based on the amount of investable capital available at your disposal, and how you choose to use your discretionary money. You don’t have to encourage people to go aggressive just because they’re starting. It can be misleading and cause new investors to go beyond their means.

Buying aggressively in Bitcoin investment does not mean that you will invest in Bitcoin with the required amount. Aggressive buying is the amount of discretionary income that is being invested. If you do not have a backup fund at the beginning, then first do the backup fund and DCA together, and then when the backup fund is full, it is better to increase the amount of investment in Bitcoin. Suppose one person's income is not stable and the backup is weak. For him, a small DCA may be more sensible. Another person's income is strong, expenses are low, and he already has some savings that can be used as a backup fund, so he can use a large part of his discretionary income to buy Bitcoin. Both are newbies, but the buying aggressiveness of both will not be the same because their financial situation is different. And here consistency is more important, which will be possible by following the DCA method and investing regularly in Bitcoin.

It is really so hilarious of you to think that once you have accumulate enough stash of bitcoin that you can start selling it reason been that you have enough stash of bitcoin, how many dollars worth of Bitcoin did you think those guys have in their portfolio that you're proclaiming that it's enough for them to start selling? Imagine strategy who has been in this accumulation journey for years probably decades still feel that the Bitcoin he has in his possession isn't enough, then why would a guy that I'm not sure if they have spent 3 years in This accumulation journey would think that they have accumulate enough of it? I'm not equating them with strategy rather they should try and grow their bitcoin portfolio to a bigger level before they will start looking into selling some portion to take profit.

The truth is that everyone with their your own goal , so you can’t compare others goal . Like I usually say everyone with their goal , some can choose to set a certain amount of bitcoin as their goal, some folks goal can be 2 BTC and more it just boils down on which suit you better as an investor of your capacity.

Telling newbies to be aggressive just because they’re starting is a wrong approach. You don’t need to put unnecessary pressure on the investor. There is nothing wrong with a new investor to strive to invest into bitcoin as aggressively as he can without overdoing it, and yeah, he has to figure out how aggressive that he is able to be without overdoing it. A newbie investor may well need to build his bitcoin investment and his back up funds at the same time, while also holding back some of his discretionary funds so that he can discretionarily consume too. Sure, discretionary funds are limited, so he has to figure out how much he is able to put into bitcoin and to put into his back up funds each week (or whatever might be his bitcoin buying intervals). Aggressive investing is based on the amount of investable capital available at your disposal, and how you choose to use your discretionary money. You don’t have to encourage people to go aggressive just because they’re starting. It can be misleading and cause new investors to go beyond their means.
Newbies do not need to be babied, yet sure, it is true that they might need to start slowly in order to get used to buying bitcoin every week (or whatever is their time period in which they are buying bitcoin). .. so for example, maybe a guy knows that he is able to buy $100 worth of bitcoin every week, but maybe since he is still getting used to the matter, he might start out with $30 each week then after several weeks move up to $60 each week and then after several more weeks move up to $80 each week before later moving up to $100 each week. And, yeah, if he is ongoingly buying bitcoin and paying attention to his cashflows, and maybe he is even projecting out his expected cashflows, he might later come to realize that he is able to buy $150 worth of bitcoin each week.

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

With the posts or replies i have seen here so far they are basically talking about how one can invest in bitcoin and hold for a very long period of time using the dca method which is very cool because with what i have seen in trading perhaps buying and holding seems to be the best and maybe these folks that are encouraging people have had very bad experience and they do not want any other person to... so i guess that is why and i think there is nothing wrong since it is not a force to do it, it is just a harmless suggestion.

I have so many replies here, although I can relate so well what we saying but so many persons make it sound like as if any user who sell his bitcoin jas done a great abomination 😁 but the truth is, if you are on the investment plan then selling off just for the course of entertaining pleasure is a stupid thing to but still some users might use selling bitcoin too as a strategy for their long term journey of getting to stash up bitcoin. But the founder satohsi himself would be surprised how people are all about saving now and not selling 😂
You have not done an abomination by selling your Bitcoin holdings mate, the only wrong or abomination as you called it I think that you did was trying to misled newbies and encourage others to follow your myopic opinion of selling premature when you have not gotten to your over accumulation status. At some point, after you have invested and held for years, you will want to sell, but it should be done wisely and systematic, just like sir jayguanjee systematic withdrawal plan JJG's Bitcoin Investment Ideas (Sustainable Withdrawal / Portfolio Maintenance). Please try to go through this thread, so that you can get a proper knowledge on how to sell, if you want to.

There is nothing wrong with a new investor to strive to invest into bitcoin as aggressively as he can without overdoing it, and yeah, he has to figure out how aggressive that he is able to be without overdoing it.
New investors more like newbies can try to front-load there bitcoin and become wimpy if they choose and feels comfortable to do it when they have that discretionary income, just like when I started my bitcoin investment, I did commit some blunders because I was more interested in buy some sort of dips I wasn’t buying consistently, but when I realized I had made some mistakes I had to go more aggressive with buying through the DCA, because I feel I can make up from some of the unnecessary lost times mistakes that I made while starting my investment, but I was comfortable with my aggressiveness, I need to strategically plan my over-load of buying bitcoin, I did it with knowing my limit as well, first of all i have to feel comfortable with becoming aggressive.

Sure, I'm not saying that everyone's goal is the same and or guys must get to a certain stage before they start selling their holdings. Perhaps you didn't read through the line i bolded, I know every investors must have set Their goals even before they start accumulating bitcoin. What I'm trying to say is that, guys need to focus on the ongoing buying of bitcoin for now, since there's an opportunity to buy cheaper. even though they have reach their investment target yet they can still make adjustment because the price of Bitcoin is not in the position where we will be talking about selling some portion of our holdings. So instead of them to keep fingers crossed and wait for the price to get to the point where they will feel that if they sell from that given amount they will be in a bigger profit, they rather continue buying while waiting for the price to get to that level.

What do you actually mean because I don't get it at all..? How can selling your Bitcoin be used as a strategy for there long term journey of stacking up Bitcoin? Do you mean that the more you sell, the more gain you make and then you re-buy? If that's what you mean, isn't that a waste of time and resources, because you might not know the next volatile nice of Bitcoin, wether after your sell, it will move upwards of downwards.. why selling in the fist place when you are still in your accumulation stage? Why not just HODL? People are not selling but HODLing because there is always a probability of Bitcoin reaching an ATH market price, and at that point, people who bought and held there coins will be at gains because Bitcoin has risen above there entry price. Unless you are a trader who is after immediate gains, if not, the best has always been to buy and HODL..
