I would vote for it as it is not recommended to invest in alternative cryptocurrencies (Shitcoin or other cryptos) in such a situation. If one wants to invest in alternative cryptos he can do it from his personal advice, in case he suffers loss then he will be responsible for his own loss, no second party will be held responsible here. If you advise someone to invest in alternative cryptos, you will be responsible for their profits and losses. Even if you make a profit, you will bear the liability, even if you lose, you will bear the liability. I think no one would ever want to cause harm to anyone.

Investing in Shitcoins or alternative cryptos I see as gambling and I do not support gambling at all. Because, there is no guarantee of profit in short term or long term investment in these coins. Sometimes you will gain a lot and sometimes you will lose everything.

Bitcoin can guarantee you this. Bitcoin may not make you much profit in long term investment, but you are guaranteed to be profitable. No matter how you invest in Bitcoin, if you hold for the long term, you are guaranteed to make a profit. As a strategy, I prefer the DCA approach, as it always offers buying opportunities. It is impossible for you that is not the dev or an insider to know the life span of a coin no matter how long that you will take to make your research which makes it not a good option for one to invest on shitcoins but bitcoin. Why will you use your money for buy try your luck coin which the odds of running at loss is high. Those altcoins that you think are good will not last in the market but bitcoin is here to stay.

This is why new investors should disregard anything about shitcoins and only think of investing and building your bitcoin portfolio for 4-10 years above while they hodli. Hello mate, I actually don't understand what you mean by this statement that I made bold here, are you trying to say that their are shit coin that are reliable? Because I don't see any reason to do any research on any coin that isn't Bitcoin, and we actually need to understand that as long as cryptocurrency is concerned, almost all the alt and shit coin are just measures put in place to milk investors of their hard earned money, because the chances of most alt and shit coin investment being successful is like 98% to 2%, so tell me why it's not gambling?

Though doing research is not a bad thing, on the contrary it  enlightens you the more, but not on shit coin or alt, unless you just feels like gambling, if not, I suggest you focus on Bitcoin only, because it's the real deal.

I have carefully read through your opinion and that of the other three users, which I think you all have a point, but it seems to me that you aren't seeing the brighter side of their own explanation.

Firstly, you seem to be laying emphasis on shitcoins, while the other three users talked more about altcoin. But let me point out something very important here: All shitcoins are altcoin, but all altcoins are not shitcoin.

Some of us here, don't seem to understand the difference between shitcoins and altcoin, which has led us to categorizing both as same. Your statement emphasis on shitcoins, sounds as if you are categorizing them as altcoin, which I think it's not true. We have few altcoins, which I think are doing well, even without mentioning their names.

On the other hand, I consider those who buy shitcoins as gamblers and not investors. They usually purchase them at a very cheap amount, but in large quantity, hoping to make heavy profits from it in the future, but it turns out to be a failed project at the end of the day, leaving the gambler with dust.

Those altcoins that you think are good will not last in the market but bitcoin is here to stay.

And, I guess, the coin with the second largest market cap should have probably crashed a long time ago, isn't it?, Or is it not longer an altcoin?.

Why don't you check charts of some altcoins that experienced a dip along side Bitcoin sometime last here. They've also made some incredible price come back this year, even though we can't compare them to Bitcoin due to it's market cap and price different.

I personally don't encourage the buying of altcoin of any kind, due to their high level of centralization. Bitcoin is an ideal coin for any investor, but that doesn't mean that other coins should be ruled out from profitable assets.

Instead of looking forward for more altcoins, why not totally erase the thoughts of trying to invest on it again especially those shittiest among them all like meme coin which is currently a hot topic by some people.

I have also long thought Bitcoin is the best so buying more of it will always be a better option without having to sell it again sooner. Because for people who are too happy to continue accumulating Bitcoin will forget about when it is time to sell again before the price they want is reached.

I don't really understand "the go back past " but I think you  mean surpassing our current ATH which is very true with the current momentum it gained while recovering  eventhough we are heading to a strong supply zone, I hope there should be something new this time around because there's FOMO in the market, more investors are coming in which is no new actually  but let's hope for a break out...

Sure you might believe some shitcoins are better than others, but we are in a bitcoin thread, so your attempts to argue about which shitcoins might be less shitty is irrelevant, even if there might be some examples of less shitty shitcoins that you could argue, and so if you are comparing shitcoins where do you stop?  It is a never ending waste of time to try to proclaim some shitcoins are less shitty, and probably you should go to some other thread if you are going to make those kinds of claim.. and join the masses of other folks who are distracted into shitcoins, and yeah maybe there are a few of them who end up being financially successful in their involvement in gambling and fucking around with nonsense that is largely already correlated to bitcoin and just adding more risk in terms of any bitcoin investment that a guy might make.

I try to avoid controversies at all times which may be my habit even. The mention of shitcoins may come out of context but everyone should prioritize bitcoin more because that's where the thread is dedicated to bitcoin. You must give true and timely idea about any currency not as a negative so that the investors do not bear excessive risk and choose the right currency. If you prefer or want to invest in any other currency, there is a separate thread for that, which is definitely for expressing independent opinions. Bitcoin is the best from various points of view which could not even come close to the value and investment limits of other coins new or old so you should choose the best one so that you don't have to suffer financially. Yes when we are on a bitcoin thread we need to keep our art coin talks away. Because when we are in Bitcoin thread, we can only highlight Bitcoin's own characteristics and importance, it is better to stay away from discussing any other Alt Coins or Seat Coins. I completely agree with JayJuanGee brother, of course Sitcoin and Altcoin are the same thing for all practical purposes. If anyone wants to talk about other coins, they have their own threads about those coins you can go there and express your opinion independently, but please refrain from discussing other coins in the Bitcoin thread. When you are in Bitcoin Thread you only need to discuss Bitcoin. Personally I always try to stay away from Alt coins or seat coins. I am trying to attract myself to bitcoin as much as possible. Bitcoin from all other coins is the best and less risky in every case. So always try to invest in the right place so that the risk is much less than other coins, and that is Bitcoin. So attract yourself to Bitcoin and stay away from fake coins.

The only altcoin that do not have the chances of loosing value are mostly some of the top altcoins we already have in the market. Anything more than those, get to be under probability while investing, that doesn't keep the investor at peace because he never knows if the altcoin could worth more while holding or reduce to a point where even recovering back the invested amount is impossible. Bitcoin offers this comfort, no matter the price reduction, there will definitely be a good bull run and profits is made.

Profits do not only depend on the kind of strategy used, DCA or not as long we buy and hold Bitcoin, we must make profits by the end.

You already said that BTC can experience a price reduction, so therefore don't say that alts doesn't have the chance of losing their value. Even though they are only alts, they are still part of a crypto market and we know that this market is so volatile. So even if we picked up the top coins, there will still be a little stress that we can feel.

It's normal though and there are still practices to reduce or even prevent them from occurring. So as long as we gained an experience, things are going to be easy eventually. Bull run is for all and not just for Bitcoin, this is why it's also not wrong to invest on other coins or make a diversification, only if we want to pump our profit potential.
