I thought this was a joke, but I would not fool around with Mike Tyson, he is very fit as he is working with Francis Ngannou, and at 57 he is punching better than most man.
Accepting to fight 30 years younger Jake Paul is crazy, but this is going to be more like exhibition fight to collect money and attention.

When I saw the announcement of this fight I said to myself that Jake chose the wrong guy to fight, that's because despite Tyson being an advanced person, he hasn't stopped practicing boxing, even though this practice is in training and not in real fights, you can still see Tyson's features when he was young and notice the power of his punch, probably the problem could be if this fight went on for many rounds, if that happened it would only benefit Jake, that's why in My opinion is that Tyson will do everything he can to attack Jake with full force in the first rounds of the fight so that he can win early and looking at Jake and the fights he's had, I don't think he's a tough guy when it comes to suffering. heavy punches and resist

He just beat Ryan Bourland recently who looks like not willing to fight and Jake is up again for another.
They should call this a fight but an exhibition but believe it or not is happening. You think Mike is done after Roy Jones but Jake wants to pull him again for he just needs recognition from the boxing community.

Jake Paul is set to fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match that will be livestreamed on Netflix.

The bout is scheduled to take place on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas and will be available to all Netflix subscribers. Additional information, including the co-main event and undercards, will be announced at a later date. It is being produced in a partnership between Netflix and Paul’s and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

This will not be the first time Paul and Tyson have appeared on a boxing card together. Paul fought in the co-main event of the pay-per-view that saw Tyson fight an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which was Tyson’s first boxing match since 2006. Paul defeated former NBA player Nate Robinson via knockout in the second round in what was Paul’s second professional boxing match.

I saw a twitter post a few minutes ago talking about how shameless Jake Paul is for forcing this old legend who's 60 years old by the by and is walking with a literal cane for support to fight against him for money and clout, but then again this is Mike Tyson we're talking about so if he pisses him enough to really bring the old tiger out of the cage then we might see Jake Paul dying this match (in the metaphorical and possibly literal sense).Never liked the guy and never will, the fights he set for himself are heavily rigged towards him and he usually just goes for the weak fishes or the old dogs so his wins do not mean shit really, this time it could be different, since as we all know Mike may have gotten soft from all these years, but he's still a ferocious beast regardless and we could see said beast come out if pissed off enough.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm looking forward to this fight considering Mike's opponent's a literal Disney Channel graduate, and thus far I've never been really impressed with Jake Paul at all, but this is Mike we're talking about, so we might just see something really cool happen.

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda piqued by this. Tyson is still a beast and can throw even at his age, but his boxing acumen may override Jake's youth and of course his relative inexperience. I think this is 50/50 right now for me. Personally, I would have liked to see Mike fight John Fury but I suspect John is all talk and wouldn't step up for it. Jake should either be going for the Tommy Fury rematch or the KSI fight which is probably the biggest fight for both of them.

July 20. Hmm. This is still far away and yet I am excited to see what will happen. This will be the first time I will watch Jake Paul fight at full length because, on his past fights, I was not really interested so I just peeked and turned it off. This though I will not miss, not because of him but because of Mike Tyson. I have been a big fan of that dude ever since his dominating era.

Yes, old age might affect but still, just one punch could end it all. Tyson ain't like other boxers that will play with him in the ring, he will definitely attack once the bell rings and I hope Jake can avoid all the haymakers that he will throw.

The number one thing about Tyson as I understand it was the technique he was gifted at an early age by a teacher who never even lived to see his story and success play out but thats how early he was taught to move right and defend right.    At the tail end of his years now I dont think he has forgot to move right where as Jake Paul probably never learnt.    Sure a younger man has advantages but if you play your advantage wrong then nothing can help you out of making a wrong move.

Cant believe that even as a show match this would happen but congratulations to both of them if they pull it off and make enough money to be satisfied with the result no matter what.  I thought it was all just a hype based rumor really but I can believe its profitable for sure to play out something, an actual honest fight not sure but show match covers many possibilities.

I absolutely do not like Jake Paul and how him and Logan are not going up the ranks traditionally so I have not supported them by buying any of the PPV events, but I will 100% purchase this 1 and hope that and aged Tyson knocks the snot out of him. Tyson way past his prime and prob alot slower than he used to be, but the guy has some massive power and if he connects a few good hits its goodnight Mr. Paul.

Yes, it's all for the money, big backer behind is Netflix, maybe they poured like around $100 million just to make this fight and do promotions. So I guess everyone was surprised to see this fight isn't it? But then again, Jake Paul started all this craze in the pandemic and he is a master promoter and making shitload of money? He had one exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr years ago, he looks like he did some training, but we all know at that age, really hard to go back to fighting shape. Although he could as active as of late because he did train Francis Ngannou.

For sure, Jake has been in his best shape, he is young, so obviously he can train as hard as he can become huge. And he just have his last fight a week ago so he is still very much into shape. I'm more interested on Tyson's training. Although we knows that he is a pro boxer and know the regimen, but I do hope he trains to win and not just go to the process of this exhibition fight for the money.

Even at his current age, I still believe Mike Tyson is still a monster in the ring and he will prepare everything well, especially stamina.
Mike Tyson has strength, speed, skill, strong defense, combinations, parrying and many others. While Jake Paul was just an amateur boxer who had never faced a real boxer in his entire career, Mike Tyson had it all and was also the greatest and strongest boxer of all time in his time.
Jake Paul's favorite, maybe because of age or it could be regulated. But if the fight really takes place purely I'm sure Mike Tyson will destroy him.

I don't believe this fight will be a serious and professional fight, for me it's more of a spectacle to raise funds... Like a friendly match and people can see Tyson fighting live and in person. Nothing high performance.

Imagine challenging a guy who is aging and seen as Rocky's coach while training Francis to a fight. Think he turns 58 in June so that is even worse.

Quite of a turn down for him 'coz he should be fighting fighters on his level. Although it is an exhibition match we cannot hide the idea that their 'names' are on the line with this one. If it is with age then for sure there is a mismatch, same thing with experience but we cannot call this an equal fight.  Jake is labeled as a fighter who takes advantage of his opponents but I doubt that regardless of his age, he would give this fight easily. No boxing organization holds his ass yet so there is nothing that stops Jake from doing all these exhibitions. The funniest part is that these fights are recorded as if they were professional fights.

Yup I have noticed this pattern that he aims to battle mostly veterans and retired boxers. Perhaps this is the norm nowadays that these people do- exhibition matches as this garners attention, viewers, and money at the same time. No wonder there has been an influx of exhibition matches being offered.

Easy money for both fighters, this is a real exhibition fight but if there's a winner and odds are available, I think I will bet on the younger and active boxer.
