People can doubt Mike Tyson as much as they want, Jake is not even a boxer, literally a youtuber, and I feel like it is not going to be even close. What you guys do not understand is that Jake is young and he has more stamina so he could run around, and every trainer in the world would tell Jake to just punch and run constantly, BUT, if there is even ONE punch from Mike Tyson that hits Jake right on the chin?

The match is over, it is not even close. Mike Tyson is no joke, even at 57 years old he is not a joke. In fact, I think he is going to be able to "tire" Jake a lot as well, he doesn't need to run around that much, he just needs to turn and take a few steps right at the middle of the ring, whereas Jake has to move around the whole ring running away constantly, so by the later rounds, I feel like Jake could be tired.

I feel you might be right here, but the only thing I see is the endurance. I think that makes a huge difference as they are 27 years and 57 years. A 30 years gap is unbelievable huge. But one hit from Tyson in the right place and it is game over. I am not fully aware of their weights at the moment, but it is probably something around 30 pounds difference I would guess? Even 25 pounds are huge in boxing.

Has it all been set up as to how many rounds they will go? Ah, I checked google and no surprise that is the one question most people obviously want to know. It is 8 rounds with 2 minutes. I think for a 57 years old guy that is quite a distance. I saw some training scenes and he looks fresh, but it would be wrong assume that it is representative. 8 rounds still makes quite a difference compared to filming one quick cut of a whole session and upload that.

So yes endurance would be the one thing here that speaks in favor of Paul, but Tyson doesn't even have to move. Paul has a bit more range though, but if Tyson smartly saves his energy for some explosive attacks, I wonder how Jake would defend against it. Although I l kind of find this fight a bit stupid due to the difference in age, i am still interested in the result.

Anyone thinks they have any secret agreements like not knocking Paul out until there is no tomorrow? Because if Tyson gets in range and bangs him twice or three times with full force, man I don't wanna be Paul. Only for the money though as I think there is a lot of cash involved.

Yeah I read the same but even so it's got me thinking about Mike's health.  He looks good sparring and obviously knows how to box.  Will his health keep him from fighting I don't think so.  Hopefully not I need to see one more mike tyson fight.  I got tyson winning by knockout but that has to happen in the early rounds.  The longer it goes, the longer it goes the more likely these dudes will just be wrapping each other up.

yeah ulcer is a bi**ch can't have good life with it but good that now he is already feeling great.
honestly though I think its not gonna affect the way he fights, as far as I know, it'll only flare up when he got stressed or when he eats something he supposed not to eat, thats the disadvantage of old age, too much things preventing people from enjoying life, but honestly does it also mean that mike himself didn't really do a great diet with his upcoming fight to keep his health or he is having too strict of a diet it affects his ulcer we don't know for sure.

I believe his age will affect him a lot, but he basically just needs to breathe to last the entire fight. Other than that, it's just a case of remembering the moves and devising a strategy. Other than that, I don't see many difficulties.

Yeah, he can't back out as Netflix has spend millions already with the promotion and most likely they have Mike going into testing before they can go ahead with this fight. Unfortunately, there are unseen circumstances like this one specially in his stomach. And as others might have known, if you have serious stomach issues, there could be other underlying health problems that might arises and also due to his age.

30 years of difference between fighters is a lot, it’s hard to argue with that, but you need to take into account not only that, but everything together. Mike's punching power will most likely be better, Jake's speed may be better, but that's not for sure, endurance, the will to win and many other factors that will influence the result. But since Mike is a professional, I think that just one good blow may be enough for this to end this fight.

When I read this news I was shocked, the title was very sensationalist... I thought that Tyson had had a heart attack or something more serious, as it referred to an emergency with landing for treatment or something like that...

I hope he recovers soon and the fight takes place normally, although I think it will be a fake fight, it's always good to see Mike Tyson in the ring.

I feel quite confident in Mike Tyson in any case. Ulcer is something my grandmother had, and while it is a pain and terrible feeling when it flares up, unless he has it flare up during or before the fight, then he should be fine on regular days.

This of course is important information, because lets say he had it flared up that day, he wouldn't be able to fight properly at all, no matter what you do, it is not a single day fix, so it would impact the fight, but we have long time until the fight and if it doesn't bother him on the day of the fight, then this means nothing at all, even punches to the gut doesn't make it flare up, so it should be fine. I still 100% believe that Mike will mop the floor with Jake no matter what happens.

Yes, I also thought that it was something big when it comes to his health and my initial reaction is that the fight might not happened this July. But when we read it, a ulcer flare up, I mean everyone could have experience some dizziness when we travel or have this kind of symptoms before. Maybe Tyson's age has let his body deteriorate that's why he is very sensitive already. Also I thought that this could be news to hype the fight even more? Stomach ulcers can be really bad, in extreme cases they can cause a perforation in the stomach walls which can lead to death as stomach acid is extremely toxic. He’s going to need to be pumped full of antibiotics. I have a family member who had bad stomach ulcers, he lost a lot of weight and was shitting out black blood.

As per latest info, Mike looks ok now, maybe he didn't end for some extended period of time that's why he experience a ulcer flare up although it could be painful at times. And I don't see it a like that will be a big threat on his life, so yeah the fight is still a green light, everything could have been settled already by the team behind this fight and preparation in full swing.

His doctor will just have to make sure that he will be 100% in this find. However, he is still the underdog in this fight as most likely his age could be the big factor why the odd makers is putting the young Jake Paul by a slight favorite.

Ulcer can be super serious, a friend of mine had that when we were teenagers which is not at all normal and he required hospital treatment for it.  I believe untreated it can cause death but its whats causing the ulcer that is probably most important.

  If the medical problem is solved and it can be treated before the fight then it wont be any disruption.  However if they dont really know why this happened and diagnosis is ongoing then it could be enough reason to end this fight, presumably it can get worse as well as better.

Now I think about it I remember a kinda documentary on this condition and 1 Doctor having to fight off the traditional thinking that Ulcers are from stress.  He was very keen to prove and did succeed in finding antibiotics are relevant treatment:

The fight will just be an exhibition with a few punches, as I said here. So, his physical health is not that important, as I'm sure he won't get hurt in this fight, it doesn't make any sense for him to accept this at his age.

Until then there's time to undergo treatment and fight... I think it's difficult for him not to want to fight even if he's sick, everything that's involved, all the money and sponsorships... it's not so simple to postpone or cancel all of this... How It's an exhibition fight, he could very well go into the ring when he's sick for a few minutes, throw a punch or two and in the end, everyone is happy.
