They dominated the game quite alright but is this the Chelsea we want to see in this new campaign? playing a very slow game without being more aggressive when they see a smaller team, I believe that they will have to do more when it comes to playing against an EPL side because to me this performance was very dull, the energy to get the game frustrating for the visiting team in the first half wasn't there so how can they manage in the EPL? That is why I'm so pissed with how Chelsea played because Luton was clueless in that game, nothing to show that they are fighting for something in that encounter but Chelsea who was suppose to hit on them continued to joke around with them, can't wait to see the Blues lose their first game because that is when they'd take the season serious but for now let them enjoy the ride and someone would say they should give Chelsea the title already, very funny.

Fulham win with 3 goals without no conceding any goal, i did not watch the game from the beginning, but with the goals scored in the game, it shows that they have a good performance, Gonzalo Garcia keep scoring goal for Fulham, he was sub on for 73 minutes and he score goal, he scored goal against Chelsea last week weekend, the boy is very good and i believe that Real Madrid will buy the player back if he become a very good striker that every team wants to sign.

Gonzalez Garcia now have two goals in a role which is outstanding and hopefully he continues with his fine form. A big money move might be a such of inspiration for more teams to try if he actually continues with his form.

Fulham are having good game in some sort of ways and their next EPL game against Sunderland will speak for it better including for their new star man Gonzalo.

After Welbeck’s goal, Estevao created a great deal of chaos in the Luton goalkeeper’s box to force their defense into causing an own goal. He didn’t really give him much space and the only way he could have helped the situation was not having to touch the ball but, not knowing who was behind, the defender could only hope to get the right touch and that went so wrong to give Chelsea an own goal.

I enjoyed the game between Fulham and Wimbledon tonight. The game was so impressive that I began to think Fulham may also be a threat and in the first 30 minutes, the game heated up. Wimbledon obviously doesn't stand a chance  as they play in the league one and not even a league one contender. The first half two goals made me think that Fulham would make the goals up to 5 but only a late goal that got the score to a 3:0 win over the visitors.

Chelsea did great, Luton town is a stronger side and it reflected how they played game. Chelsea controlled the game and welback scored the first goal followed by an own goal. I was surprised that Luton town had one one shot on target in this game.

Most times it's hard to break the teams with low block set and and mentality, all they came to do was to defend Chelsea who totally outclassed them in possession and ball progression. Luton were just packing the bus because they know the only thing they can do against a team like Chelsea is to just pack the bus. Chelsea was by far the better team, but I was surprised when Chelsea drew them in first half of the game, I almost play them to draw, because sometimes, this Chelsea team can hurt in a way that you didn't imagine.

All the premier league side usually turn up when it comes to this EFL trophy, and they did exactly that yesterday too. The other premier league teams that will be playing today will also win their matches, and I'll be looking forward to watching them.

This game isn't test enough so it's true the next upcoming games will be the real test for Chelsea. Beating Brington won be easy but Chelsea still got what it takes. If they survive Brighton they have Arsenal next and it only keeps getting worse.

Of course, that game is not enough to justify Chelsea's performance at all, because they played against a lower division team and still found it quite difficult to score. However, Brighton showed a lot of work last week by trashing Aston Villa with 4 goals, while Chelsea narrowly escape Fullham with a 2-3 win.

So definitely we are going to witness a very strong match between both teams this weekend, and I think the game might likely end in a draw.

It was a completely one-sided match. Just as it must have been!    I expected a bigger goal gap than this though but a win is the most important thing in the end of course...

There was a little bit of a rotation in the lineup and it could have been more actually. Because the fixture is tight you know. In 2 days they have another PL match on the way.

So definitely we are going to witness a very strong match between both teams this weekend, and I think the game might likely end in a draw.

Chelsea looks like a different team from last season. I know people might say it Luton town, but it the way they play. Just like you said, they played with so much intensity, multiple runs, back tracking when they are not with the ball, quick decision making and moving the ball very fast to opposition half.

Now a real test come for them this weekend when they play Brighton, we all know Brighton is also a very good side, they are tactically sound. This will give the entire Chelsea team a good test to see if they can be a title contender this season.

So far I’m very impressed by what Alonso have done with the team, with Chelsea now getting Martinez to the squad I think they will look more dangerous and good this season.

Manchester city performance today was top notch. They dominated in possession which made crystal not to have more that 1 shot ok target. The only goal.wad from Donnaruma own goal, that guy needs serious improvement,he has been awful for sometime, especially with his clumsiness. This Maresca players are already getting their form back.

As we know Halaand, just give him the ball and he will deliver goals for you. I have been noticing that Ryan Cherki will play a very important role in this team, he has already delivered in the 2 matches he has played under Maresca. I expect him to always be in the starting eleven.

This is the wrong thread, it should be in the premier league board. Nonetheless, we can still discuss it because it is a match that was played today and Manchester City played really well more than the way they performed in their first leg. This win is a good statement win, they are now showing everyone on the premier league that they are still strong even without Pep Guardiola, they can still perform the same way they were performing even though it is still not stable as they were last two seasons.

Manchester City has now taken the lead in the premier league table with six goals scored and two conceded, they have started it the way they used to do because they like scoring as many goals as possible in order to goals advantage in the premier league table. But I don’t think they are still that strong to win the title this season despite having six points in two matches.

Why are a lot of people this surprised with how Manchester City performed tonight? Are they not the City we used to know?The They ended last season finishing at the second spot in the league table. And no doubt they played well but that's what that's expected of them, or did we expected Crystal palace to defeat City with their entire squad and even as they're just coming back from from last season vacation.

I am very certain that we would see a better attacking side from Chelsea this season because they have better attackers in the experience of Danny Welbeck, who played in the EFL Cup; Pedro, who has been in hot form from preseason till now; and Morgan Rogers, who was a steal for Chelsea.

In all competitions that Chelsea will play in, they should be doing very well well.

It is just unfortunate for Chelsea supporters and players this season that they couldn’t get qualification for the Champions League, a much bigger competition than the EFL.

This result is completely very poor if I may say because Chelsea where miles away from Luton statistically and with that what where supposed to see is over 5 goals as they had all needed to score but maybe because Luton where determined to face them without feaar was one great reasons the game ended in just two goals.
Even with a loss I will say Luton did a great job in the game because it is not easy facing a side miles away from them  statistically and other wise.

They need to make those shots and chaces count. I wish they will understand that these chances they get to create Don't come every time especially when they are playing with bigger clubs,so they have to make those chances and shots worth it, although luton goal keeper was good, but regardless I do feel they should learn how to score more goals.

Most importantly their defense is something they really have to strengthen, they have to get a very good and experienced defender that can be a good example to the rest.

I guess Burnley's saying goodbye this early is the only surprising incident in Round 2 of the cup. I didn't see anything unexpected other than that.

As for the next round, we have Liverpool - Tottenham and Manchester United - Brighton matchups in our hands! It's only Round 3 but tough draws are here already.

What are your thoughts? I favour home sides in both but I'm not expecting big gaps of goals.

Chelsea will be hosting Leeds United in the Corabao cup later today, it a game chelsea should win but I believe it will be a difficult one for them, they will have to give everything if they want to go into the next round of the league cup. Leeds is a very difficult team to play, we all saw how all the big 6 in the league struggled against them last season.

After losing to Arsenal last weekend, Chelsea need a bounce back, so a win today will put them again in that winning momentum. With Chelsea not playing in the champions league this season, Xabi should know how important it will be to remain in this competition.

I think I will gamble on Chelsea to win, I don’t see Alonso rotating much of the players that played last weekend. I know Barco will come in and Estevao will start considering his performance against arsenal. What do you think of this fixture.

Still confused on chelsea's performance in today's game against Leeds, at first it was a super dominance that made chelsea's goalkeeper had some excellent save and now its an unexpected goal with a great dominating force against Chelsea till the 40th minute of the game.
With chelsea's performance in this game i will say they have more work to do on there team to remain competitive in the rest of the game if not they may end with a bad finish this season.  As for today's game against Leeds United,  I will say its already a lost one because the Chelsea i see at this first half don't have what it takes to face Leeds.
