Still confused on chelsea's performance in today's game against Leeds, at first it was a super dominance that made chelsea's goalkeeper had some excellent save and now its an unexpected goal with a great dominating force against Chelsea till the 40th minute of the game.
With chelsea's performance in this game i will say they have more work to do on there team to remain competitive in the rest of the game if not they may end with a bad finish this season.  As for today's game against Leeds United,  I will say its already a lost one because the Chelsea i see at this first half don't have what it takes to face Leeds.

There have been quite a number of changes here and we are currently leading 6 goals to 3, this is good in someway and another really difficult realization is the fact that this shows our squad depth is really lacking and among reasons we lost to Arsenal in the weekend.

Although Barco did well tonight and I hope we trust him even on big games before the next transfer window and then our midfield will be much better.

Chelsea are scary on the attack, and this their win is more than enough evidence to prove it...But what I really don't like is how they are conceeding goals..I mean it wouldn't have been bad assuming Chelsea won this game with a clean sheet... This is what affected them when they played against Arsenal.. They scored, alright, but they were unable to keep Arsenal attacker away from netting those 2 goals that gave victory to Arsenal... I hope Xabi Alonso is noting down all of this, coz honestly speaking, he needs to work seriously on Chelsea backline so they will conceed fewer goals...He brought in a new GK which is a good step, but more work has to be done defensively so they wouldn't struggle too much when they go against stronger teams like Arsenal and the the likes......

Chelsea is still having a lot to do, I didn’t expect them to concede upto 3 goals today. When Leeds United scored their second goal in the early minutes of the second half, I already gave up on Chelsea, because I didn’t even believe they will be able to equalize in the match.

What changed everything is just the substitution which Alonso made in the second half of the match, and they were able to score 6 goals in the second half of the match. Chelsea played well in the second half of the match, but honestly Chelsea still have to work on their defense, they conceding so much which is not really good, if they conceding like this in matches, they will find it difficult to equalize in some matches.

The match turned into a goal scoring festival by producing 9 goals. Xabi has seen that the second team are not reliable so he should be careful before making such decision next time. It almost cost Chelsea a defeat if not tha Cole Palmer levelled the score within a short interval into second half.
        Chelsea performed so well for overturning the result but it still sending a message to Xabi Alonso to take more of his time in addressing the defenders because that is still the area they are lacking behind. Conceding too much goals is a sign that there are huge lapses in the defense region which has affected them in all their matches this season. I like the way that Chelsea were all over Leeds players immediately after Cole Palmer leveled the score, that is the kind of energy they need in the Premier League also.

This is unbelievable, I never believed chelsea will make a come back in this game. You know if not for that substitute he made they would have loss this match to Leeds, because it was as if that squared they started with isn't strong enough and I love what xabi alonso did because if he had manage them feeling that things will get better definitely Leeds would have score more goals and then it would be difficult for them to equalize.


I think chelsea need to work or their defense because it is making them to concede alot of goals which is not meant to be so, xabi alonso need to work on that area it's very important.

Xabi Alonso is finally having a good start to the season. I will say that he seems to be a goal focused manager. The number of goals this Chelsea team now scores is interesting and this will make more fans to get interested in watching Chelsea games because it seems we'll always be promised many goal moments. Leeds took the lead until the 53rd minutes foul on Pep Chavarria which became the turning point. There was a lot of brilliance in the game, Cole Palmer's fitness is fully back for the season after suffering inconsistencies last season. Welbeck got a brace and I think he's arrival at the Stanford bridge doesn't look like an error anymore. His flexibility does not equate his age at all and it was a massive performance for the Chelsea team at the end.

In as much as it seems like our attack is scary we lack the squad depth and a effective midfield is also important, we saw how the game was going at first and without the creativity of Rogers and Palmer more especially then the attack won't seem this scary.

I'm glad we are not having much competition currently else we would have suffer from this, I will continue to say Andrey Santos was a wrong sale now we have to hold still until the January transfer window.

You cannot be doubting Chelsea's attacking force on a club without a strong defense like leeds. The first half was Alonso's experiment with bench players, although I would've preferred he started with big boys and subbed them off when the job is already done. The subs changed the game and gave Chelsea their required lead and win.

I didn't watch the first half since I knew from the lineups that it would be awful, I streamed the second half and only have memory of the outstanding performance from the boys, sorry I cannot relate with your distasteful experience watching the first half .

Chelsea played with their all of inexperienced players as their starting line up. They don't wanna gamble with Lavia and James who injury prone by playing them full minutes. So the poor performance in their first half was the result, though it's totally changed after Xabi did 5 substitutions at the 2nd half.
 
They might be having deadly fronts, but their defense are full with old players who always jogs anytime. This clearly says they really need to sign more world class defenders to sort it out.

I can't see they to finish the game with cleansheet when they play with the current line up in the next game against Hull City. A proper solution to their defense is obviously needed at this moment.

It was indeed a massive performance from the Chelsea players yesterday. From 2 goals down to 6-3 full time, it was absolutely something that we didn't expect from Chelsea, due to the fact that Leeds is not an easy opponent, but they were able to make a huge comeback and get a win in the game.

Honestly, I think it would definitely be something else if they had played with this massive performance against Arsenal last week, but I think it's not too late because there are still many games to play.

What if Alonso had started the game with the big boys and only when he thought he has gotten the results he needed and then decides to sub them off for the second eleven and all of a sudden they started conceding goals and probably lose the match because this thing is very much possible.  Alonso should be aiming for at least one trophy this season with Chelsea and also qualify for the top 4. Starting with those players he did last night almost cost him and the team that game and he was lucky enough that Leeds United is one of those average teams in the premier league if not Chelsea would’ve probably paid dearly for it. Alonso shouldn’t try that against a more bigger opponent, this season Chelsea are not playing in the champions league and at such they have every opportunity to play with their big boys in every game especially when they’re fit. This is not time to gamble yet, Alonso should take every game seriously and aiming for a clean sheets as well because the amount of goals they’re conceding is becoming too much despite the fact that they’re scoring a lot of goals too.

This Chelsea team is so unpredictable man. 2 goal down and then a 6 : 2 comeback. I think this whole unpredictability credit goes to Xabi Alonso because he is good manager and they know how things goes changes. Xabi Alonso had a very good career in Bayer Leverkusen and then in Madrid so basically he has a very strong background and they know things very well but do you know where they failed when a team didn't give him much time which xabi Alonso want and I think Chelsea know this and they gonna give him enough time to make this team to the European competition and I hope if xabi Alonso remain the manager of Chelsea next season they can give minimum of 1 trophy and a good position in EPL. Like we see the 2009 to 2015 Chelsea.

In the first half, we was more of the second squad starting the game, they struggled all first first but after that first half he brought on 4 first team players to help change the game. We saw Palmer scoring 2, Rogers assisting 4 and Neto scoring also. Chelsea were very dominant in that second half, it was a really second half display from Chelsea.

Chelsea advance to the next round, and since they are not playing in the champions league this season I think they will take this competition seriously. For me I will consider Chelsea favorites to win this competition, because others big teams will busy with champions league fixture and Chelsea can use that advantage to win the tournament.

There's nothing much to explain about the results of the game at the final whistle since the final scores are obvious for us to see.

What really interest me in this game was how Xabi Alonso was able to calculate the game and turned it around with the right substitutions he brought into the second. Giving us a comeback from 2:0 that was least expected that Chelsea could score 6 goals in the second half to book a slot in the EFL 4th round.

Chelsea's games have become cinematic, and it's unbelievable how good they've made their games to watch this season.

Chelsea 6 - 3 Leeds Utd

In that game, for example, the first half ended with Chelsea losing 1-0, and that was a result that could easily have been changed in Chelsea's favor. But then Leeds scored their second goal in the 48th minute, just 3 minutes into the second half, and not much time to concede a goal. It seemed like a guaranteed victory for Leeds. I even thought that way myself when Palmer scored for Chelsea in the 53rd minute, 5 minutes after Chelsea had conceded the second goal, and then the real spectacle began. Cole Palmer scored again, a second goal, a fantastic goal in my opinion.

Five minutes later, Pedro Neto scored Chelsea's third goal. Five minutes later, Welbeck scored Chelsea's fourth goal, and it seemed the game was decided. However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who came off the bench for Leeds in the 65th minute, scored Leeds' third goal just 10 minutes into the game, making it seem like Leeds could at least manage a draw. Then, five minutes after conceding the third goal, Chelsea scored their fifth, followed by Welbeck's sixth.

The funniest part for me in this game is how the Chelsea players exploited the weak side of Leeds' defense, They always pulled the ball to the right side of Leeds' defense, which was the side where:

-Jaka Bijol

But this strategy only worked when Xabi Alonso took off Estêvão and replaced him with Pedro Neto, took off Malo Gusto and replaced him with Morgan Rogers, took off Jamie Gittens and replaced him with Cole Palmer, took off Reggie Watson and replaced him with Reece James. This made Chelsea win the game. I think if these players had been on the field from the beginning, Chelsea would have scored many goals in the first half.



Best goal of the game in my opinion.
