The ball formation Liam uses 3-5-2 was one of the reasons Palmer wasn't in the lineup of tonight's match against Arsenal because Chelsea wants to control the tempo of the game from the midfield which I have seen, they have successfully achieved in, holding Arsenal to a draw match(0-0) in the first half.

Maybe in the second half changes in the formation to bring in Palmer might happen but I don't think Liam will do that since Chelsea is controlling the game in a better position

That formation doesn't scream controlling the tempo of the game,  it screams defending, it's screams not attacking and pressing with your midfielders rather than sit back and hit Arsenal with his overlapping fullbacks but the likes of Timber and Hincapie did well to join the midfield battle to halt that. Maybe Cole Palmer should have started after all. Nice game nevertheless, it was an interesting show of action for both sides. First finals for Arsenal since 2020. Nice one Mikel Arteta. Arsenal is very aggressive, it seems like no one can stop them, but in this match it is very funny in my opinion, whether it is Arsenal playing at home so their chances are bigger, the funny thing is that the added time was only 6 minutes, and Arsenal scored in the 7th minute 🙃

The media and others were waiting to banter Arsenal if we had bottled this qualification to the finals. Arsenal showed that we can defend when needed. We did not play the best football today, but we got the result we wanted.

I did not quite understand Liam Rosenior's formation in the game; he came with the plan to defend and maybe catch Arsenal on the counterattack, but Arteta was able to adjust quickly.

Good to be in the finals; we await either Newcastle or Manchester City.

Something interesting is that this season, across all competitions, Arsenal has only suffered one home defeat, which was against Manchester United. Their worst home result was a draw; they hadn't lost at home until Manchester United beat them. Today Arsenal plays at home again, and I hope they can beat Chelsea. I wonder how many people are betting on Chelsea to win and how much they're betting on, and it's a very high odd, with a profit of over 3x.

I’d consider three meaningful betting options for their clash today. The first is Arsenal to qualify, the second is Arsenal win or draw, and the third is BTTS. I’ll probably go with the second one, but I still have time to think it over. Betting on Chelsea is definitely profitable, but way too risky given that Arsenal are playing at the Emirates, where they love to win. To Chelsea’s credit, they’re in good form right now, so it won’t be an easy task for Arsenal.  So they might want end up in a draw which may undermine their attacking performance.

And the game ended with Arsenal winning, who had a good defense. If Arsenal hadn't had a good defense, perhaps they would have lost. Fortunately for Arsenal, the opponent wasn't efficient in attack either. Chelsea spent a lot of money on signings and I'm not seeing great results. It's true that they won the conference league and the Club World Cup, but I don't see them achieving anything relevant this season.

Chelsea is struggling in games from time to time.. They outperform themselves in some games, sometimes international matches before failing in others. This time, their journey in EFL Carabao Cup came to an end. After all they lost against gunners.

I was waiting to see if they're back to their losing streak right after they defeated leeds in their last EPL game before this one, but it's a different outcome anyway. In the semi-finals, leg 2 of 2, with an outstanding aggregate of 3:2, Arsenal only needed to secure their win and Chelsea had no business in an outright challenge. They only hoped that they could manage the game to a draw, then the penalties.
It was a tough one, with so many missed chances for both teams. Chelsea has lost its credibility if they still accepted defeat against the same team that lords over them in the EPL, even when their results are not usually consistent.

You can't wish both teams success at the same time, I know it's Arsenal that you are wishing to triumph at Wembley. You have to come out straight so we know who you are supporting. First I have to congratulate your favourite team Arsenal for making it to the final by defeating Chelsea. You guys played very well by shutting out Chelsea. Chelsea were just chasing shadows throughout the match as they never pose any threat against Arsenal defence. I wasn't surprised though, because I knew they were never going to win at Emirates stadium.

I wonder who's going to get the first goal in this encounter (Arsenal vs Chelsea), both teams haven't made use of their chances if you ask me and we haven't seen much of the Arsenal side that are always forcing defenders back to defend till 90'mins. I feel the Gunners will become serious if Chelsea get the openerbof this game. From how both sides have been playing I feel the game might end in a draw if the Gunners don't step up to punish Chelsea.

Arsenal are really disappointing me in this match, I thought they would've been ahead in the first half but they weren't even looking intimidating to Chelsea at all and the blues can almost read their every moves and stop them from making any damage.

Both managers have a great deal of work to do both changing tactics and bringing players that can execute with precision. Chelsea's bench looks good as well as Arsenal. The first half was very boring to me, I hope we see a more entertaining football from both teams in this second half. Maybe if Chelsea scores first, Arsenal would wake up and show exactly what they've got.

True, same annoying feelings I had in that game even if Arsenal won they still allowed Chelsea to enjoy themselves in their home in a game they're leading with a better advantage. As of 70-75'mins that was when the game started becoming interesting to me and Chelsea only needed a goal to extend the play, if you ask me I'd say Arsenal got lucky on this one because if Chelsea had gotten a goal that would be the end of every struggle and hard work.
For the Chelsea manager is like I'm seeing Enzo Maresca as the manager because how would you be looking for a win and still drop some of your best players especially Estêvão, he kept him on the bench and that's the same thing Enzo Maresca would do and wait for almost end part of the game to bring the young man on.  Now Arsenal moves to Wembley courtesy of him, I do not agree with your cast on him. Not every player that gives the expected performance that commensurate their transfer fee worth.

Havertz gave Arsenal the dying minute goal to put them straight into the finals. The match was just a boring one that lacked goals. Chelsea did not play with a lot of energy, it seems that it was in the second half that they understood that they have to work hard if they are to qualify. But they started doing it very late and they could not score even a goal. The dying minute goal by Arsenal was not a surprised to me because I knew it would happen. I was literally shouting out Chelsea players all left their defense in order to have a late minute ago. I have known Arsenal to be that chiki and they succeeded.

The dream of Arteta not to go trophyless this season is fast coming to pass. I wish him and the rest of Arsenal success this season. If they don't do it this time, it will be difficult for it to happen again.

It has to be ex Chelsea man to put his current side in pool position for the trophy against his previous team. Should I say bitter sweet, that's what came to my head right now to use in describing this. A Chelsea manager again fails to beat Areteta since his appointment as an Arsenal coach, that's a very good feet for him. After the first loss to Arsenal at home, I wasn't expecting Chelsea to beat Arsenal in the Emirates and over turn the score as it was a mountain too high for Chelsea to climb. Even though I also wasn't also expecting a goalless game up until the dying minutes of extra time, I had hoped for some resistance and a fight from Chelsea but it didn't happen so, at least a 2 - 1 loss again was my expectations but this time Chelsea didn't even score at least to motivate Arsenal to play better and score more goals.

This is the 10t game played against Arsenal, the 5th coach that has played against Arsenal but none have able to win Arsenal. 7 win for Arsenal and 3 draw. This is even more regretful for Chelsea as well as their fans because the goal was created from the feet of Kai, who in fact was at their club even on several occasions this player was always underestimated especially when he chose to go to Arsenal in the early days of his move from Chelsea.

Although we know that this has been going on for a bit longer but still it will be a bit of a bummer when the goal to kill the game (even if it doesn't go in Arsenal still qualify) is scored by their own former player.

Arsenal are now on a good path and it remains to be seen if the final will end well for them especially since the final will likely be against Manchester City as their aggregate in the first leg was very much enough for a step in the final and playing the second leg was only to defend the lead from Newcastle.
I hope it will be an ideal final and it can be realized if Manchester City can maintain the first leg advantage in today's match against Newcastle.

Rosenior should have prioritized this match and, as a new manager, must demonstrate his aggressiveness, even if it's only an EFL match. Realistically, Chelsea are highly unlikely to win trophies in other competitions like the Premier League and Champions League. I agree with you that the current situation at the Blues remains very chaotic, even under the new manager. He completely lacks understanding of the fans' true needs and demands. He should have been able to respond effectively, especially since matches against Arsenal are always must-win games.

If Rosenior adopts an open, attacking style, Arsenal will struggle greatly. Arteta is also very cautious about this match, as he doesn't want any of his players to suffer injuries and is actually only interested in maintaining the aggregate score. Unfortunately, the Blues manager failed to recognize this gap and lacked creativity in his strategy.

Arsenal was already ahead by one goal advantage, and Chelsea mentality in that game was to get a win, but I don’t know what they were doing for the entire 90 minutes without scoring a goal. And Garnacho said that they would beat Arsenal at the Emirates as long as Manchester United was able to defeat them. He was so confident that they would win, and football is not like that, he was brought in 75 minutes and couldn’t save Chelsea to qualify.

However, if Chelsea aim was to win the match, I didn’t expect them to have only two shots on target throughout the match. They played like a team that was tired of the season already, since Garnacho scored two goals in the first leg, he assumed that any team club could beat Arsenal, Chelsea have lost another chance to win a trophy this season.
