Not every successful person has a mentor. Some people succeed on their own initiative. There are many people in the world who are successful but they did not have a mentor. However, almost everyone has a mentor.

And they have played a lot in our lives. However, we humans are ungrateful so we forget them after we become successful.
In almost all of our lives, parents, relatives or friends play a role in our success. We should all remember those people who have played a role in our success in our lives. And express gratitude to them.
Achieving success is certainly not easy, there are different directions needed, but it is also true that there are many who have grown up on their own initiative without any guidance.
However, when we usually look at things, we understand very well that achieving success becomes easier if there is guidance for success.
And we should never neglect those from whom we receive these directions.
Because if we did not follow the directions given by them, we might not have been able to achieve success so easily.
So we definitely need to express our gratitude to them, and I completely agree with you.
Those who have helped us with guidance in times of danger and through whose guidance we have been able to achieve success better, it is always our responsibility to stand by them in any danger.

A mentor helps, but it’s not mandatory plenty of people grow by learning from books, communities, and mistakes.
Mentorship is not limited to being directed directly by someone but through books it can also be said that you have a mentor, namely the author of the book you read, that falls into the category in my opinion, every knowledge from other sources other than those found by yourself can be said that they are teachers if it is a science for the development that you do even though they do not supervise you, for me it is the same as a mentor, from the books I read the author is one of my indirect mentors.

Everyone have what works for them, there people that one of the best thing they did was to get a mentor were they will go word to word and they will also do the practical aspect of everything, and this because it is very easy to learn that way compare to when you are doing self learning because it will even take you a longer period to learn on your own than having a mentor but everyone have a choice of what they want to learn and how they want to learn.

And mentors know there place and they don't even expect anything after they have done there part and that is why it is called teacher for a reason and a lot of them are happy celebrating the winning of there students because majority of thia mentors are already made, so they are not bothered about the winning of there students, which is suppose to be that way, am sure a wise student will show appreciation definitely. It shows how responsible they are going to be,  paying respect to the person that thought you.

They're people who become successful without having a mentor, i believe that those people who became successful without someone direction or instructions, they're people who make use of their intelligence and become creative, so base on that, i concur that anyone can be successful without anybody help, but the thing is that, is very difficult to before you can detect such kind of people, the major thing is that most people who are successful in what they are doing, became successful through the help of people, but its few that was successful without mentor.

For someone that is starting a business, they need to have a mentor if it is a large scale  business that need employed manpower and mechanical tools to make the business a successful one.

A lot could be gotten off the pages of books, a lot could be gotten from having someone you emulate and a lot could be gotten from having to work based on the directives of others.

Mentorship doesn’t necessarily mean you get directives but, you might as well study the procedures or strategies used by a successful person of interest and you emulate that to build your fortune. It might be common practice amongst individuals seeking growth but, there are those that works completely outside the box of mentorship and still attain success.

You do not need to have a mentor before you can become successful in life. There are many successful people in life that does jot have a mentor.

Some people only like after a role model and they may want to be like such people and work towards it.

But know that success is not about having a mentor or looking after someone as a role model. It is about how smart you are in achieving successes. Opportunity and exposure are also very important.
You may be right to a good extent that you do not need a mentor to be successful yet one thing people who have succeeded fails to tell people is the fact that they need someone to help them open the door to success it may not necessarily be your mentor but such person automatically becomes a mentor or role model, looking at the successful people they have someone who linked them up to what gave them the grounds but they will never talk about it. it's not always online for you to know but there is some only give acknowledgement to such people in a way that it's not obvious just to gate keep the real deal.

But however it's not important but at least a lot of people have someone who inspired them and the worked towards even though they may even become more successful than those who the model after.

Most successful ppl had someone open a door at some point intro, opportunity, guidance, timing. Call it mentor, connector, role model, whatever. Even inspiration counts. That early push matters more than ppl admit.
Many don’t talk abt it either, sometimes ego, sometimes gatekeeping. Acknowledgment is often subtle or skipped entirely.

Mentorship exist and has help many successful people, but truth remain, that some human strive and succeed without a mentor and become a case study to some who can't do without mentorship. Nature has it gifts on human, what Mr A will need assistance B may do it perfectly well at first trial without assistance. I place my assertions on those who on their own carry out some discovery who are to reference as their mentor, automatically they become a mentor to those that learned through them, of which their mission of discovery is successful making them successful in area of focus.i see mentorship as two sided which may not work for everyone based on some people articulating level and perception towards things around them.

Humans aren’t built the same. What Person A needs step by step guidance for, Person B might nail on the first try with zero help. That’s just how life works. Some people learn best through guidance, others through raw trial and error.

Mentor always give you lessons because he know to path from which you will travel and he will guide you how to be rich . People are not ready to make a mentor because that is not easy to hear the words of the mentor because they will give you bad words which is not good for you . If you want to be successful in your life then you should learn from a person who is successful in a field. Ever unsuccessful person has not mentor and he is following the person who is not qualified in his field. In my country, mentorship is not common and people want mentors but no one is ready to guide them and in this way they will not be successful in their mission.

I would like to discuss this here to understand how many people decide to take this step to find a mentor?

I asked myself this question because in almost every book or interview with successful people I come across a mention of them having, or even currently having a mentor who guides them, helps them develop, and perhaps points out mistakes that will not allow them to grow.

And I was interested in how many of you at some point decided that you needed a mentor, how difficult it was to find one and how did he help you? I suppose that few people use this, maybe even out of fear, because for example I don’t even know who it could be and how can I ask my future mentor about this if I manage to find such a person.

And maybe some of you have been a mentor for other people? Share your experience too, if it is not too much trouble for you.

Having a mentor might suggest that somebody is there to guide you through all the trials and tribulations that you'll encounter throughout life or business. Very few people have this sort of direct relationship because it would actually be quite draining for the person having to steer you all the time. I actually think it's possible to learn many skills by yourself, using a variety of different sources, purely from the internet because of that vast wealth of information currently out there. You might learn new things from different people because we all learn differently, somebody might explain something in a complicated way which becomes much easier when broken down into language you understand. So the idea that everyone must have a mentor to be successful is slightly misguided.

Well, I won't deny any of your statements, because you may be speaking from your perspective and I don't know what made you think that way. I know that they are some books that can serve as a guideline for someone to achieve something tangible. But they are things that require physical interaction. I will rather choose a well developed skills and experience with professional high standards person as a mentor, rather than depending on books.

Books mentoring has limited role to play when it has to do with mentorship compared to  physical, although all has there unique way of operation but i don't support channelling all hopes in books. Its clear books works as a powerful mentorship tool with vast knowledge and easily accessible but always limited to the information provided in it while having a skilled and learned mentor may provide solutions according to the desired answer that best suits your questions as he will provide detailed explanation to what so ever that is given at a specific point in time.

Humans aren’t built the same. What Person A needs step by step guidance for, Person B might nail on the first try with zero help. That’s just how life works. Some people learn best through guidance, others through raw trial and error.
We all have mentors and none of us would persuade to move into poverty. There are complete different human being. There have been some that find it really hard to make it in life and others just have easy access to make out alive. What aspect do you prefer? Making it in a hardway or providing crucial paths to making it.

It doesn't require physical interaction, but rather a clear mental explanation of what's written in the book. It's certainly difficult to understand the author's message, but it can be considered the same, and the right term is indirect mentoring.

Mentoring certainly requires an intense approach. I admit there's nothing wrong with that. Because through intense interaction, we can communicate the problems we face, and the mentor can provide solutions so we can correct any errors in our thoughts or actions. This way, the path to success can be much brighter, like someone shining a light in the darkness and guiding us to our destination.

A guide can always make the path of a person easier, just like a teacher helps a student understand his/her studies. If a successful person provides guidance to a person to achieve success, then success is easy for another person. Just as a coach helps players improve their performance. Just as a tour guide makes the path of a traveler easier, a guide helps in the path of success. It is truly a matter of luck to find a guide who provides the right guidance to guide a person on the right path.

Your point is very solid about mentorship. Most people think mentorship is a face to face guidance but actually it has many ways like  books that serve the same purpose. When we start learning a book gradually we understand the thoughts of the author and we also start learning from the author's experience and wisdom so in this case indirectly the author becomes our mentor. In actual any kind of knowledge from any resources that contribute to your improvement can be considered as a mentor. When we  start learning from others we actually save our time and it helps to avoid repeating mistakes that our mentor has done. So the learning point is that we should always improve our personality and for that purpose every kind of thing which helps us to shape ourselves is our mentor and it may in the form of knowledge, books or personality.

If we get guidance, we can make any goal a bit easier and reach it some easily. But the main thing is to continue with your efforts, because if you do not maintain your efforts towards achieving your goal, then no matter how much guidance you are given, you will not be able to succeed in any field. Success does not depend only on guidance, to be successful you first have to set a clear goal, then you have to create a mentality of continuous effort to achieve that goal, and you have to keep working hard, you get guidance or not, if you do not get guidance, there is no problem and if you get guidance, then it is an advantage, but your own efforts are needed first of all.

The mentor narrative is often overstated, mostly because alot of the success stories are being told in hindsight and cleaned up for clarity. Alot of people did not 'find a mentor' as a deliberate step but they found reference points, people whose thinking, standards, or feedback influenced them at different stages. Most of our growth will come from observing how others operate, asking specific questions, and applying what makes sense, not from a formal mentor-mentee label kind of situation.
