Scottish School Will Accept Bitcoin Payments, May Launch BTC Reserve Lomond School said it’s moving forward with accepting BTC payments after families asked it to. A school in Scotland has said it will be the first in the UK to start accepting Bitcoin payments. Lomond School in the town of Helensburgh said that it made the choice to accept the cryptocurrency after a number of parents—both local and foreign—made the request, The Times reported. The private boarding school has a number of international students. https://decrypt.co/314558/scottish-school-accept-bitcoin-reserve
Accepting Bitcoin will have all sorts of benefits, the school will see it build up a Bitcoin reserve and will play a bigger role in the acceptance of Bitcoin in the UK. But the most important thing for me is that the parents of the students have spoken to them and they have agreed to accept payment in Bitcoin. This is how Bitcoin can play a role in every institution these days, you see how interesting this is when every parent of a student, whether they are from home or abroad, can give their consent, of course it is reasonable.

Going back to topic, good news: http://Https://x.com/RepKeithAmmon brought on this bill New Hampshire is the fourth State to have the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Bill approved in one chamber: This Bitcoin Reserve Bill will have the highest opportunity to accept Bitcoin after it is passed, and if they can accept Bitcoin at this time, they will definitely be able to buy it at the lowest price and hold it for a long time, so they will continue to invest for a long time. This reserve bill must have several qualities for it to be successful, one of which is the vote, 192 representatives voted in favor of the Hampshire Bitcoin Reserve Bill, and 179 representatives voted against it. The Hampshire Bitcoin Reserve Bill won by a total of 13 votes, now they can only take advantage of the opportunity if they get permission to wait for time. You can access the link here to find out more detailed information,: https://decrypt.co/314412/new-hampshire-house-bitcoin-reserve-billThe passing of the Hampshire Bitcoin Reserve Bill reflects the growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies in financial policies. But the narrow margin of victory winning by 13 votes still shows that many legislators are skeptic about it. Representatives behind the bill should know how to act properly into acquiring bitcoin at what may be a lower price. Relying in timing alone has a lot of risk since no one can accurately predict Bitcoin's volatility. They should pair the initiative with clear direction for holding and managing their Bitcoin reserves ensuring public trust. It's important for the bill to succeed to have transparency and strategic planning. If Hampshire demonstrates economic benefits and stability through long-term investment, it could pave the way for broader adoption across different regions, further integrating Bitcoin into governmental financial systems.

Panama City Approves Bitcoin and Crypto Payments for Taxes, Fees, and Permits. “Panama City council has just voted in favor of becoming the first public institution of government to accept payments in Crypto. Citizens will now be able to pay taxes, fees, tickets and permits entirely in crypto starting with BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT.” This decision sets Panama City on a more progressive path, enabling residents to interact with their local government using Bitcoin for everyday transactions. Mizrachi also explained how this was achieved without the need for new legislation, a hurdle that had stalled previous efforts. “Prior administrations tried to push a bill in the senate to make this possible, but we found a simple way to do it without new legislation. Legally, public institutions must receive funds in $, so we partner with a bank who will take care of the transaction—receiving in crypto and convert on spot to $. This allows for the free flow of crypto in the entire economy and entire government.” Full news and image source

Spar Supermarket in Switzerland Starts Accepting Bitcoin International retail giant launches bitcoin lightning network payments at Zug location, signalling potential wider adoption across 13,900 global stores. SPAR has begun accepting Bitcoin payments at its Zug, Switzerland location, marking another milestone in Switzerland’s progressive approach to bitcoin adoption. The implementation uses the Lightning Network through DFX Swiss’s OpenCryptoPay solution, enabling instant transactions at the point of sale. Lugano, in particular, has made headlines with its “Plan ₿” initiative, which aims to make bitcoin a de facto legal tender in the city. The plan, supported by Mayor Michele Foletti, has already enabled bitcoin payments for taxes, public services, and at hundreds of local merchants. The city has also partnered with Tether to establish a technology education centre and startup fund. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/spar-supermarket-in-switzerland-starts-accepting-bitcoinGradually, more shopping malls in Switzerland will accept Bitcoin payments, because it has brought so many benefits at the moment that those who have used this Bitcoin payment are the only ones who can prove it. This SPAR location is the first supermarket in Switzerland where you can check out Bitcoin transactions using LNURL. This implementation paves the way for SPAR's network of 13,900 and more stores in 48 countries and is able to serve around 14.7 million customers every day. If you can notice, it will definitely be ready to serve more customers in the future, and it is gradually moving towards a higher level of popularity in various supermarkets.

ARIZONA'S STRATEGIC #BITCOIN RESERVE COULD BE APPROVED IN FINAL VOTE MONDAY Source Monday have been fixed for the final vote to be taken and if approved would be sent to the Governor. I am super Bullish that the house will vote in one accord and that will be certainly in favour of Bitcoin and if signed into law by Governor Katie Hobbs would allow the state to invest 10% of the state funds in Bitcoin.

sweden is examining whether Bitcoin could become part of the country's foreign exchange reserves in the future. This is the bigger story I was looking for not just one country and I know USA is a big deal and all that but with Bitcoin its always the global perspective and the growth of its status, usage and ability to serve the world. I know the IMF were dead against the usage of BTC in El Salvador as a currency and I honestly cant say for sure where BTC will be best used, how and by who but I like that its being considered valid increasingly and tested for its benefits. Now the job is to make it as usable as possible and it wont be straight forward to facilitate that usage by a plain user public but it has to be possible and even profitable to do so in many cases I imagine, good to see progression anyhow.

Congratulations to the good citizens of Arizona for making the right decision at the right time. Arizona is leading the race https://www.ccn.com/news/crypto/us-states-strategic-bitcoin-reserve-2025/ on all states pass a bill towards creating their own Bitcoin reserve. We can also see in the article the latest development about their Bitcoin reserve plans, It's sad that it failed in Oklahoma since they didn't get enough vote and it seems there are still skeptical officials are there which stop this reserve plan to happen. Looking to see more good updates on their filed Bitcoin reserve bill and hopefully all of those states file a Bitcoin reserve will succeed then move to next phase which is to start accumulating Bitcoins.

To me, the biggest hurdle is not the AZ governor's signature, which she is keen on doing anyway, despite the local political brawls. I guess the bigger hurdle will come from the federal government. I do not remember if they said anything about being front-run by local government. As described in the OP, the BITCOIN Act, by Senator Cynthia Lummis, allows individual states to store their Bitcoin holdings within the federally managed reserve under segregated accounts. This arrangement offers states a secure option for establishing their own Bitcoin reserves while benefiting from federal infrastructure and oversight.
The point is that I cannot see every state rushing to buy Bitcoin before the federal government does the same. I bet the order will be the other way around: the federal government first, then a single state pushing Bitcoin North.

While we thought Arizona was leading in the bitcoin race for reserve adoption Roswell city has taken an instant step adopting bitcoin as a municipal reserve asset. Perhaps, a federal ratification of bitcoin reserve will drastically propel more adopters at both State and local levels respectively.

I urge North Carolina Governor not to hesitate in signing the Bill into law once it gets to his desk. I am super Bullish that more states will start getting full approval from there legislative houses soon than expected. Details

But I believe that what their head official like to implement it will happen but although its its expected that there will be opposition but majority of legislators would provably approved it especially some of those politician serves the pleasure of their President. There is an article before that explains compliance implication of Bitcoin strategic reserve Federal Crypto Ownership: Compliance Implications of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile They need to fix those concern and have proper coordination so that they succeed to approve and implement the Bitcoin reserve plans they want to do. Also for sure that IRS,CFTC and SEC have conflicting views on it and its big challenge for Trumps administration to work for. But I'm positive that they can work this out especially that they have knowledgeable people working for this Bitcoin reserve plan to happen.
