Except for people who are not really into gambling, I don't think there is any idea that can make one quit gambling or gamble responsibly. Doing any of this is a matter of decision taken by the gambler. A gambler who is not willing to do things right will not take your recommendations no matter how persuasive you become. The only thing that can make some gamblers gamble right or even quit is when gambling almost ruins their lives. There are lots of sensitization out there about responsible gambling,  so no gambler would say he is not aware. Sometimes it is best we let them learn the hard way.

It's more of an individual willingness thing than it is a help thing, most people think that asking for someone to be responsible in gambling habits can help the gambler to change his gambling ways if he is going toward negative directions and experiencing setbacks in the gambling journey, but if the gamblers himself is determined and willing to follow-up with their gambling steps making sure they gamble respectively and within the set limits they won't fall into problems along the way.


Gambling should be done in a more predetermined manner and at that gambling within the responsible limits such as how much time you gamble and what you stake and aim from such gambling time, all this makes up for your overall gambling realities.

It's better to never try if you're afraid of getting addicted and have a hard time stopping - I think that's the best advice for anyone new to gambling. Many addicts are basically those who are initially curious about how gambling works - but because they like it for some other reason, they will continue it for the reason of just wanting to have fun. Almost all games will make us curious - but the most annoying thing is when we have to trick ourselves into saying we are not addicted.

It takes more than reading articles online or books to actually stop gambling, there are people who have actually gone through therapy but they still find themselves gambling, this is actually an addiction or dependency issue, some do it as an escape from reality. Gambling for fun is actually the best mentality to have otherwise it can become an addiction along the line, people who mostly get addicted are people who try to make it a source of income. No one with this mindset can become successful with gambling because they get desperate and this is an emotional imbalance that can lead to irrational decisions. The best way to stop gambling is by having self control no one do that for you, it's a personal discipline.

It's not that easy getting rid of such a behavioral addiction especially from one of the most difficult diseases to deal with clinically.

Most gamblers turn to be an addict with time.  It seems gambling come with a spirit. Often first time gambling wins, then this push them in as they think winnings will keep coming. After which they keep losing, then in other to make up for their loses, they keep playing till they get addicted.

Unfortunately, you can't manage once you hit the addiction stage of gambling, unless you stop and attend medication. Gambling is majorly about aiming for profit and when that profit isn't coming, it gives no joy anymore. So you can't stop gambling if you are earning profit because even your family will be in peace with you but you are likely to lose your wife and family if you are always losing, not taking care of the family because you use money for the family to gamble.

I believe bad gambling experience is the reason that an addict gambler can stop gambling that is if they don't add drug addiction to it which will be very difficult to take care of because it is a double jeopardy.

Your point is straight no one get to the point of losing wife in gambling with ordinary eye it's either as a result of been addicted to the process, gamblers with self control is always a close death sentence to various perspective it could be loss if properties or lovely family with gets into trouble of no peace as they will no longer been in support, as everyone knows it's only when the system of gambling is sufficiently solving problems to the family that any gambler with received support from the love one and family anything contrary will always be a tog or war, in my opinion gambling that exceed normal way to gamble should be properly check and control because it could damage one personality around it's environment.

Because the food choked them to death, driving a car is a great pleasure but many have died in the process, and this has not stopped people from buying and driving cars, how about aeroplanes and plane crash?

Why then should people stop gambling simply because it carries some risk? All we have to do is to do it carefully, by adhering to all gambling rules that ensure we are doing it responsibly, so, we don't end up addicted to it or losing amount we can not afford to lose.

It's a difficult thing to do, especially if you are not a patient person by nature, because it all depends on how much patience and self-control you generally have. If you don't have any, you will barely be able to control the addiction, and the odds will probably be against you if you get addicted to gambling with that nature.

If you are someone who gambles for fun and does it as a habit that they are not actually addicted to, then you are good. However, if you are someone who gambles for money and profits and can't get rid of it because you find the urge to gamble to be too strong, then you need to do something, and that something is only possible if you have a patient nature.

Generally, it's very difficult to get out of gambling addiction, but it's doable.

Almost every casino do have a section or part on their website where they take the time to explain in details the risk involved with gambling, and how gambling responsibily is very important.
Like if you visit Stake.com for example, and you click the user profile area in the top right corner of the website, you will find a link titled "Stake smart" in the list of options, if you click it, it will take you to a page where stake explained the risk involved with gambling, and goes on to explain how to gamble responsibly.

should be knowledge such as that obtained from books or online articles related to gambling addiction or how to prevent it owned by gamblers before they are really addicted. so gamblers have time to prepare themselves to make limits with their logical thinking so as not to act until addicted. unfortunately, gamblers will not care about that. they will realize that the gambling that is done eventually makes them trapped to not be unable to leave gambling.
