It is common for people to return to gambling after winning or taking greater risks. In my current environment, there is a recent case of a worker who ended his life due to a gambling addiction. He left a note apologizing to his family for failing to be a good family member. One of the risky actions he took was selling his father's motorcycle just to gamble. I heard from his friend that he took such a big risk because he had already won a large sum of money, but it all disappeared again. as a result, he harbored a grudge to win again, but his actions had already become irrational.

It seems that we are in the same country and I think this condition is becoming a little more common in the country we live in today because this is not the first case that happened when someone even committed suicide just because they could not accept the final result that did not match their expectations in gambling even when they had risked all their money even with other people's money such as family or closest people still unable to make them return the capital that had been spent (because it was impossible to happen) which ultimately ended up with the worst possibility of death.

The pattern is the same where when the gambler wins with a slightly larger amount that makes them feel confident that gambling is one of the solutions when it is a trap and they are too naive to think about it further.

In fact, I would like to say here that the most common thing that you will find noticeable in every addicted gambler is that they basically have a high greed level and because of this high level, they spend more time on gambling and at the same time spend an amount that they cannot afford to lose.

The expectation of people to achieve success never ends, it is not about to end, rather it is an infinite process, the more success you achieve, the higher your expectation will go, your expectation will never end, this happens in any case. Yes you are right gambling addiction has lead so many to a depressed state to the point that they want to take there own live. You're right, gamblers who already earn money from the gambling games, they are unlikely to stop playing. It even triggers them to gamble with bigger money, they are trying to earn more money.
