I don't think that it was the goalkeeper that made PSG victory possible. It was a collective efforts from the team. PSG should work more on the team because their performance yesterday wasn't that impressive compared to what I expected. Tottenham need to have a focused mindset when they are playing a big match because they played better yesterday but lost their pace in the second half which led to their defeat.

We got to see PSG win in tie-breaker. Now the question is if PSG has to struggle so much to win against Tottenham then how can they perform against the big teams in the Champions League next season.

By big teams I am talking about Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and other teams. They have to try to perform better and keep this in mind so that they do not lose in any important match of the Champions League next season.

From what I saw yesterday, PSG needs to do better this new season if they will win the UCL again. There are many teams who will be stronger this new season, and Enrique pattern of play has been exposed completely, all thanks to Chelsea, and we saw a glimpse of that from Tottenham yesterday. Many team can stand up against PSG. Anyway, they only have to give their best but it wont be that easy this time. Liverpool, Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal., Chelsea will do better next season. I am predicting the UCL to come from an England team.

Yes, many teams that will participate in the Champions League competition have definitely reinforced their squads again. The situation will definitely not be like last season. The playing style and tactics of PSG have certainly been studied by their opponents, and other teams are ready to thwart them when the competition starts. PSG needs to improve and change the way they play. Those who can dominate the Champions League surely have a very strong squad. But PSG is not like that at the moment. Every team continues to update its performance.

Tottenham Hotspur is the most useless team in the EPL I have seen. How can you be in a 2 goals advantage after an impressive performance only to give it all away in less than 10 minutes to full time of the match. This is disheartening and heartbroken.

Do they now expect to win through penalties take outs? It's just useless to my bet as I handed them a straight win in my bet slip.

PSG was the victor in the end. A comeback win for them is an excellent one for the coming Champions league competition which will be more competitive.

All things said I think I do agree that this is just PSG players redeeming themselves from the humiliating defeat from Chelsea and now Tottenham wanted to rewrite it on the faces of their fans. PSG just gave us a reason to see why they are deserving as the UCL champions.

This victory and additional trophy to the French team and the role of Dembele in that assist  in equalising that scores has just increased dembele's chance on the Ballon d'Or and there's nothing stopping him from winning that award.

Aside this fact, both games against Chelsea and Tottenham shows while challenging PSG can still be fearful, they are not infallible. Their invisibility view after defeating Inter Milan in the Champions final and Real Madrid in the CWC semi with a huge margin and keeping a clean sheet has been somehow neutralize, they no different from any top team that can still be beaten.

Give Mourinho a "win or go home" game and just watch him destroy other teams' man. Even though he hasn't been at the top level like he used to in a while now, he is still Mourinho, and he still has that sharp tactical brain that allows him to play those important games in a different light.

Jose Mourinho is one of the coaches who has a good reputation in the past and always tries to increase consistent performance and disciplined attitude.

Yes, it's true, Jose Mourinho has no equal in these matches and I have to say it even when he coached the teams I supported and seeing him as an opponent I have to say that he is truly terrible, he is truly fearsome and he will try in every way to bring home the result as he has always done.

Their opponents in the next round will be Benfica, a very strong Portuguese team from last year. Fenerbahçe could potentially eliminate them; regardless of who's eliminated, they'll be among the best teams in the Europe League.

Chelsea tactic, performance and good result against PSG can be a very inspiring case study for many big clubs that consider PSG as a potential competitor for Champions League title. Not all clubs can repeat success like Chelsea but there will be likely more challenge against PSG in this season. Defending Champions League title has been never easy and historically only Real Madrid defended their title successfully.

History shows that not only PSG but also many clubs have big troubles to defend their titles and it won't be too surprising if PSG won't succeed in this season. They must play against many big clubs, strong opponents to defend title successfully and risk of failure with this task is high enough.

There are several team names that I have rarely heard of, such as  Ferencvaros, Qarabag, Pafos, Sturm Graz, and Kairat.

It looks like there’s only one match in this list that I can’t predict the outcome of, Basel vs FC Copenhagen.
In my opinion, these two teams are of the same quality, and I’m not sure which will win. Since I’ve seen FC Copenhagen more often in European competitions, I’d give them a slight edge at 55%.

Fenerbahçe vs Benfica, I wish Fenerbahçe could reach the group stage, but this time it will be very difficult for them.

Here are my thoughts on the rest of the matchups. I believe these are the teams that will advance to the group stage:

Yeah I think I will support you on that because it was really strange seeing Tottenham going ahead by a huge two goals lead and if not that Tottenham were fully exhausted and couldn't hold on to anymore I think they would have clinched their first ever trophy with the new coach but it's quite unfortunate for them and also a huge kudos to the psg team and mostly dumbele who tirelessly worked and force the assist that lead to the equalizing goal.

You're right and thats the only thing Totenham was able to prove again yesterday, the only reason why I am unhappy with Totenham is that they relaxed a bit, they should have not allowed that equalizer, this is one thing I somuch love Chelsea for, although they weren't meant to win, luck was not on their side, atleast PSG will now know that some team can battle them in a match to the very last moment, i will say this, with what I saw yesterday in that match, i don't see PSG retaining the UEFA champions league, unless they will improve more, this was not the PSG that won inter Milan and Realmdrid although I never wanted to mention Realmadrid because they weren't in their good form last season.

Of course, Chelsea did expose Erique in some ways, but I don't think that fundamentally changes much about PSG's status. It's actually quite normal for a top team to lose some games, and often these losses occur in important matches.
 The same thing happened to Liverpool, they were very strong in the Champions League last season but when they faced PSG, they were knocked out of the competition and same goes for Inter Milan.

The true beauty of football was truly revealed in that match as Paris Saint-Germain had to fight back because as far as I know the drama of this UEFA Super Cup final match was completely touching. It's true that the French club struggled in the group stage of the Champions League but they were able to snatch the title, which they also did in the final match of the Super Cup. However the most important thing is that despite their initially uncontrolled performance, they were able to regain momentum and end the final match in a close fight. I don't think anyone wanted to support any team other than PSG in this match but still the English club took the spotlight of the match on the field.

I think PSG's golden era is over. After winning the Champions League last season, they looked unstoppable. But in the FIFA Club World Cup, they unexpectedly lost two matches. The most surprising of them was the final match against Chelsea.
Yesterday's match was also unexpected. Although the good news is that PSG finally won, they had to fight hard for that victory. I thought PSG would get an easy win and start the season great. PSG did not  play well in the fifa  club world cup final. Yet , we have seen that they won easily against giant teams like Madrid, Munich and Atletico Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup. But we have seen PSG's defeat against Chelsea in the final. Even though PSG won the super cup against Tottenham, I am not satisfied with their performance. PSG's performance needs to improve further if they want to do well in the Champions League.

I was shocked by the fact that extra time wasn't played and the match went to penalties. It seemed so strange to me that I was shocked, but perhaps they did it to avoid tiring the players too much given the heat. If it had been played longer, things would have gone differently in my opinion.

After the Super Cup ended at full time without a winner, I was expecting PSG and Tottenham Hotspur to settle their differences in extra time, but I was surprised when they went straight to a penalty shootout without playing extra time. PSG were having almost 60% possession as at the time they were losing when the stats was shown and it was clear from the start that Tottenham were aware that they wouldn’t be having much of the ball and they decide to give it to the PSG players, for me it worked for me and they should have sticked with the plan. I saw that PSG manager actually named a weak midfield, he was missing Joao Neves due to suspension from the club World Cup final so I was expecting him to actually start Zaire Emery with the usual duo of Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz but he benched Ruiz which made the midfield a Little bit not compact like before.

Tottenham actually started their midfield with players that are good at ball recovery, Papi Mattar Sarr was doing great with Palhinha and Bentacut only for the manager to actually ruin the game with his substitutions. Personally I think he should have left the midfield untouched and actually added a new midfield by substituting an attacking player because Enrique was adding more midfield options. For me this game showed that it was very wrong to sack Ange and bring in Thomas Frank.
