I don't see it as luck, PSG were actually holding the ball and possessing Tottenham but couldn't penetrate. The whole of the first half, they registered no single shot on target but had 60+ ball possession which simply meant that they only controlled the ball but didn't create scoring chances. The last 20 minutes, they controlled and created chances for themselves. Going 2 goals down and equalising it by scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes says it wasn't luck.

It's impressive but it's good as they eventually not only dominated the match but also beat Tottenham and won a first ever European Super Cup for their club history. PSG have been in golden era of their club from domination in Ligue 1 and first titles in Champions League and Super Cup. With young players in their club, they can have good growth in this season as well as coming ones.

PSG were having almost 60% possession as at the time they were losing when the stats was shown and it was clear from the start that Tottenham were aware that they wouldn’t be having much of the ball and they decide to give it to the PSG players, for me it worked for me and they should have sticked with the plan. I saw that PSG manager actually named a weak midfield, he was missing Joao Neves due to suspension from the club World Cup final so I was expecting him to actually start Zaire Emery with the usual duo of Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz but he benched Ruiz which made the midfield a Little bit not compact like before.

With tactical philosophy of Enrique from Barcelona to Spain and PSG, I don't feel too surprising when he forces PSG players to perform with high ball possession. It's like his favorite basic tactic and he only becomes more flexible and let his players doing attacks more directly and quickly at proper moments within a match. He is no longer too obsessive with only ball possession but know importance of quick and direct attacks in order to get goals.

This trophy is a good start for PSG and Enrique in a new season when they will no longer have Donnarumma at their club. The goalkeeper is no longer in Enrique's plan and he is nearly at the exit gate out of PSG.

I was shocked by the fact that extra time wasn't played and the match went to penalties. It seemed so strange to me that I was shocked, but perhaps they did it to avoid tiring the players too much given the heat. If it had been played longer, things would have gone differently in my opinion.

After the Super Cup ended at full time without a winner, I was expecting PSG and Tottenham Hotspur to settle their differences in extra time, but I was surprised when they went straight to a penalty shootout without playing extra time. Maybe UEFA knows best why PSG and Tottenham Hotspur didn't play extra time in the Super Cup.

I was not aware of this rule and was surprised. For Tottenham, this match is like an unexpected defeat because they played impressively for almost the entire match but did not win. I was surprised that PSG did not give up until the end of the match to win even after being two goals behind. Winning the penalty shootout by paying two goals at the very last moment made it even more lucky for them.

This is going to be an interesting match because it very difficult to predict since both teams are not in the same level, PSG are more stronger than Tottenham in time of everything but despite that I still don't have hope for them because of what happened against Chelsea, it was a shock to me, but let see what will happen at the end of the match.

This is definitely going to be an interesting match, meaning both teams are looking to win this UEFA Super Cup final. But in this match we see several changes from Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, namely they have changed their well-known goalkeeper for this final match, indeed they have added Chevalier to this closely fought Super Cup match. I think that lost of concentration from the Tottenham team towards the ending of the game caused them this game because this was a game that they were leading by 2:0 as of the 85 minutes of the game so giving away such a lead is just to show that Tottenham has alot of areas to improve on especially the defense line and attack be they wasted many chances

Tottenham missed the chance of lifting the UEFA Super Cup trophy, and that was a small team mentality of winning the trophy. Imagine having just 5 minutes to lift a trophy, and you conceded two goals in those five minutes. Tottenham will always remain the team that doesn't have the mentality of winning trophies and being seen as a big team. When I said that PSG can not win the Champions League this season, I meant it because of their performance, and if you look at PSG yesterday against Tottenham in the first half, you will realize that PSG is not the same team that won the Champions League last season.

A lesson I have learnt to never trust a poor team to give you an outstanding performance anyday. Their poor winning mentality will always get the best of them. PSG actually dropped form in that game compared to how they played right from the UCL quarter finals to the final against inter Milan, which was an opportunity for Tottenham when they scored those two goals it was as though the form drop of PSG was still by far the best of form of Tottenham.

Yea I was expecting same thing too only for me to check back and see that PSG has already missed one penalty kick and I would say that was suppose to be a big advantage for Tottenham Hotspur to utilize it but it was quite unfortunate for them. Even though they played that extra time the pressure PSG exerted on them was really crazy and they would not have maintain the draw, I believe PSG would have even score like 2 or more goals in that extra time because Tottenham Hotspur players was already bias and frustrated, just imaging conceding 2 goals in 10 minutes to the end of the match when you are already winning.

I was surprised with the rule but I think maybe they have made such rule already before the match started they did not just make it when the match was going on maybe they have made the rules since, Tottenham did there best I was even surprised that they played a draw match with PSG I was thinking that PSG will win them with a lot of goals but it did not happen and I believe if there was an extra time Tottenham would have won the match because they were very determined and focused on that match they believe that if Chelsea can win PSG they can also win them and that was why the almost won them, Tottenham is not good in penalty I knew that they will lose in that penalty kick, Tottenham needs to build a strong defense because they don't have a defense if they had a strong defense I don't think PSG would have the opportunity to score them so they should make sure that their defense is more strong if you achieved it I believe they will be more inform and strong however congratulation to PSG they have done well but they should improve.

Congratulation to PSG for using this trophy to prepare the mind of their coach ahead of the UEFA champion league trophy and other trophies, because they did perfectly well to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the penalty shootout.

PSG new goalkeeper help the club to win the first trophy in this pre season game that will create a good relationship between him and their coach, because there will be confident on the goalkeeper whenever there is a penalty in any of their game, for the goalkeeper to show his talent yesterday to help the club secured the trophy, show that PSG will go far next season in UEFA champion league game and FIFA club world cup game through this keeper.

PSG has a very good squad, and their goalkeeper looks quite good. They could easily advance to the title this season without any problems. They have a much stronger team and squad than Tottenham, and I think the match going that long, even going all the way to a penalty shootout, was something that shouldn't have happened.
Of course, every final is very difficult and very valuable, but they could have done better. Let's see how they perform when the season starts

I was supporting Tottenham since the beginning of the match despite the fact that I am an Arsenal fan, I wanted them to protect the dignity of the Premier League clubs against PSG just as Chelsea did in the FIFA club World Cup final, when the trashed PSG 4-0 in the final.

Chelsea is different from Tottenham Hotspur, so you shouldn’t expect them to be the same in this match, not even Arsenal may be able to stop PSG if they’d met in the super cup yesterday. PSG met with Arsenal before in the Champions league and they were not able to do anything, so I wouldn’t expect anything different in this case. Chelsea happens to be the only team that PSG met as an English team and could not defeat, thumps up to them and that’s why they are the best club in the world, a one they will hold for the next four years.

The English team took the spotlight of the team but were notable to keep up with the performance and has to finish in a very poor state in the end. I commend them for a start of the match well organised but they were unable to keep up to their pressure and failed to win the trophy in the end which indeed cancelled out their initial performance in the start of the match. They should do better when the season starts, conceding two goals back in the final minutes of the game was very poor of them and would say they needed to do better as a team.

You're not far from the truth, of recent psg cannot recreate their exploit of last season in this present season that is about to start, looking at their performance in recent games and how they have now been struggling unlike before I don't see them as that team that teams were afraid of. If you watch the tottenham you will notice that psg could not open up spaces in the tottenham defence, this is something that they normally do with ease last season even if they are against big teams. If psg did this against a team like barca I'm very sure they would have lived to regret it

Leaving the Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma out of the squad in this game shows that the club has limited interest in him. They want him to leave the club because Lucas Chevalier is seen as a worthy replacement.
