Chelsea need to handle their opportunities because many will no longer come their path. What's the tangling angle of the Blues in the UEFA Champions League this season? I don't think they're ready for the competitive race because there are other elite teams that have been eligible and ready for the big games. Enzo Maresca should bend on taking gokd care of his team because they're now looking like a weak team that won't survive the clash against elite rivals. Facing Benfica in next UCL game, this is an opportunity for the Blues to bounce back to winning ways but I don't think they're ready for the outcome of Benfica.

Chelsea should gather all confidence and the backlines should improve because the main reason they're conceding more goals is because of the defensive errors committed by the defenders. Next, if they want to qualify, Chelsea should clean sweep the remaining matches for the league. But Chelsea's opponents are not easy, there are Atalanta, Barcelona, and Ajax. If Chelsea loses to those 3 clubs, I am a bit pessimistic about their chances of qualifying.

I think the rankings were absolutely correct. There's also the fact that the Champions League opponents are much stronger than the Europa League. There's a huge difference between the last-place finish in the Champions League and the last-place finish in the Europa League. I'm excluding the Conference League from this category anyway. It's a trophy that can be watched as a third-place trophy, but the teams are generally mediocre. It's like a tournament designed to encourage Premier League teams to become champions.

Beneficial is a solid team in their league but their recent performance is not one in which can give anyone the confidence to believe they will be able  to beat Chelsea and evening they may have a chance at that, it dies promises to be a tough one that may come with fewer goals but as it regards Chelsea, except  they are still in the euphoria of the most recent loss they suffered, I think they have a better chance in this  fixture and they are considered the favorite by many.

Were Chelsea actually having an Aura moments before the club world cup! I don't think so, in the league they struggled to be in top 5 and after that, I wouldn't really talk about the conference league because they were undoubtedly the best side I'm that competition. I'm the Club world cup they had few good games especially in the finals were they neutralised and embarrassed PSG. That was the match that people felt Chelsea was in their best moments and thought they have awakened. We are now back to reality though.

The league start was not really encouraging seeing how Chelsea played, but towards the end of the season, their best form came out and that performance was also replicated in the club World Cup. So saying wasn’t in their aura moments is not the lame truth. They’re battled and eliminated top teams in the club World Cup before finally humiliating PSG in the finals, so I can’t but believe that they were in their best of forms and that will show in them this season also. A poor start to the season doesn’t mean a poor finish to the season, till will tell about Chelsea’s performance this season.

Are you been serious here, did you realise there was a point in time last season that Chelsea was in 2nd position in the league table? Or have you forgotten? After that drop, they started struggling, yes, Chelsea was struggling. Chelsea's beat form last season was never towards the end of the season as you say because they struggled to qualify for top but their best form was in the first half of the season when they were in second position.

Benfica and Chelsea appear to be evenly matched, so I think a draw is still possible in this match. It is impossible to compare the performance of both teams in their respective leagues, and because this is the Champions League, the potential for maximum performance is very high.

This ranking is only valid in terms of numbering; if you look at the actual quality of the tournaments, it would look roughly like this:

I think I share the same sentiment with you, benfica is a promising team but I don't see anything that should stand as a point of validation that they will defeat Chelsea, I understand that people might be saying this things because of Chelsea recent performance which is not bad but one thing we should look at is Englsh team against Portuguese team and we know what Chelsea as a team can do here, personally I don't think benfica beating Chelsea will see the light of the day, Chelsea will not want to take things softly with them, though we might see tighter lock horns between both teams, the aspect of them being the favorite side in that match, I don't agree to that but lets watch what they have to offer then.

I dont like so much this "new" calendar, where Champions League is played in a whole week (tuesday,wednesday and thursday) and the europa league in the other one, i know with the new format and more games something has to change but somehow i like the past one, where tuesday and wednesday were champions league days and thursday EUL and conference.

You can not choose a favorite team by checking the statistics about these matches. Chelsea is a strong team. And this is their home match. Also, Chelsea is  in better form than Benfica. Chelsea failed to win against Bayern munich in the first match of the Champions League. So the team will want to get back on track by winning  against benfica. Chelsea will try their best to win this match. I  am interested in betting on chelsea to win. My prediction is  that Chelsea will win this  match by at least 2 goals.

Chelsea played badly against Bayern Munich, especially in defense,  but Benfica has not been at their best this season and traveling to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea will not be an easy match for them. My prediction is Chelsea winning the match, but I also see Chelsea conceding in that match, because they have a very poor defense right now.

Yes, Chelsea's victory in the Club World Cup is now just a sweet story for Chelsea. In reality, Chelsea is back to its original state, which is in a slump. So, right now, we can't expect too much from Chelsea, especially in a major competition like the Champions League, which features great teams. Chelsea's current performance is truly erratic and they're struggling to get positive results. Therefore, let Chelsea play to the best of their ability, and let's not overestimate them.

Furthermore, in the second week of the Champions League, Chelsea will face Benfica. I don't think Benfica is a particularly difficult opponent for Chelsea, so Chelsea should be able to get a good result even with their current form. Benfica's previous match was less than ideal and suffered a loss to a less favored team. So, with that in mind, I think Chelsea should capitalize on this momentum to regain their confidence. Despite a flying start to the new Premier League season but maybe everyone has already observed that the English representatives were completely defeated by Bayern Munich in their UCL group opening match of the new season. They were just lucky last season, yes they managed to make it to the top four in the English premier League after they had a very tough season it was a do or die affaire before they could made it to the top 5, and even at the conference league they were undoubtedly the best team in that league but yet they still struggled yes they lost draw and won they didn't just have a smooth sail in the European conference league then even at the FIFA club world cup they had a very high chance of making it to the finals because they didn't really play a tough team and in the finals that's where I was kind of sure they could win because truth be told Chelsea is a team that always do the unthinkable so that winning didn't surprise me.
