UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season

For the match against Bayern, I expected Bayern to beat Chelsea, but I didn’t place any bets on that game because Chelsea can sometimes deliver very strong performances. The next match, the second round of the Champions League, will be between teams that lost their first games, and while Chelsea lost to a strong Bayern, in Benfica’s case it was something unclear. In the opening minutes they were already leading 2-0, but in the end they somehow managed to lose by conceding three goals.

What I can say about Benfica is that for now I’m not sure they can beat Chelsea away, that’s what I think. Chelsea didn’t start this season in the best way, but the team has great potential. Benfica played two matches with Mourinho, and in the second one yesterday they let the win slip in the last minutes, drawing 1-1 with a fairly weak team, so I don’t know what to say. I think Chelsea won’t lose the home match, Benfica are solid enough in defense, so I think they will try not to lose this match. Again, it’s a difficult match that I definitely won’t bet on.

Considering that Chelsea was coming fresh from a global competition where they put up an extraordinary performance, it will not be out of place to believe that they will beat Bayern Munich. But it turned out otherwise, thanks to the coach and players. Underrating clubs in the UCL might be counterproductive because almost all of them are top-class clubs. But Chelsea are clear favourites in the match against Benfica.

Mourinho has lost his special one because he has not been impressive in his former jobs at Roma and Fenerbahce. A new coach, he is still understudying the players which might be a disadvantage in the game against Chelsea. Although nothing is certain but I will place a bet that Chelsea will win.

One can say Chelsea are full of surprises anyway which I would agree. But they can't always do it. The thing they did to PSG in the CWC finale for example...

Most fans and sports journalists felt Chelsea would come blazing this season after winning the FIFA World Club competition. Beating the best club in Europe for the trophy was an indication that they would be a team to beat. But this was not the case. Chelsea has not lived up to expectations, both in the EPL and the UCL.

I think Chelsea will win this game too, not just because they have lost to bayern Munich in the first game but Benfica too are not doing well currently. Benfica played yesterday and everyone including me thought they would blow Rio Ave away but they could only manage a draw.

Chelsea desperately need a point in this campaign, they are the world champions and as such there is so much expectations from them so beating Benfica should be a good test for them. They played Benfica in the club World Cup and beat them in extra time so I believe they would do the same this time around only that Jose morihno will be on the touch line for Benfica this time around.

Chelsea are a good team and they definitely have the potential to do well in the English Premier League as well as in various European league tournaments. If the top four or five teams are selected for the Champions League, then Chelsea must be included because Chelsea currently has such a team and they have been performing like that recently. Maybe they lost against Manchester United in the last English Premier League match, but that is not a big deal. Sometimes it is seen that a very big team loses against a weak opponent. Chelsea should forget about the performance they performed against Manchester United and plan well for the upcoming matches, especially the Champions League matches.

Chelsea have certainly learned a lot from Bayern Munich's defeat in the first week, especially regarding their fragile defense. Furthermore considering the vastly different squads between Chelsea and Benfica, Chelsea is far superior. Both teams started their first matches with defeats, but Chelsea has the advantage of playing at home, so I don't understand why people doubt Chelsea's ability to win against Benfica in the second week, especially given Benfica's unstable form.

Chelsea will certainly be chasing their first UCL win against Benfica anything can happen in football. However if we analyze the squad depth, the venue, and the mentality of the match, I have no hesitation in betting on a Chelsea victory.

I agree that Chelsea's performance has improved so far, but they aren't the favorites against teams like Bayern Munich and some of Europe's other top teams. Chelsea certainly tried their best, but Bayern Munich were still the team more capable of dominating the game and capitalizing on their scoring chances. Chelsea's loss wasn't surprising and was perfectly understandable, but some gambler may have taken a bigger risk by betting on a Chelsea win.

For the upcoming match, Chelsea are the clear favorites. I'm not underestimating Benfica, but this is a home match for Chelsea that they can't afford to miss without taking maximum points. Chelsea need a home win to secure all three points and that's what they'll need to do if they want to advance to the next round.

In this match Chelsea is the favourite to win. They will be playing, and they lost their last match against Bayern Munich, so they need to put in work to win this match to secure three points in this match. I think it’s so important for them so they won’t get too far down on the table.

Which nice football did Chelsea play, so what will you then say Bayern Munich played? Bayern Munich that was all over Chelsea, pushing them back to their own half while they controlled the game. Even if they happen to meet again in the knockout rounds, Bayern Munich will still beat Chelsea home and away.

In the Chelsea vs Benfica match I'll be betting on Chelsea. I'm not underestimating Benfica but I believe that while Chelsea aren't a superior team, they are a team that can always bounce back and succeed in their own way. With the squad they have now, they have a good base for this season's UCL. Enzo just needs to provide some sweet touches to make their performance more creative and varied, creating opportunities to score and win.

It's fair to say that Chelsea recently returned to the UCL, so it's understandable that they lost their first match against Munich. However in the second match against Benfica they won't repeat the same mistakes and a home win is a must. The defeat to Munich in the first match will serve as a lesson for Chelsea, requiring them to work harder and remain solid.

Sincerely, Chelsea ought to win that game against Benfica. At least for the fact that they are at home plus they lost their first match, am pretty sure they will be giving all they have within them to keep all the 3 points to themselves. But I fear only two things, and the major is Benfica's new coach, the former coach or Chelsea, Jose Mourinho. He would be so happy that he would take at least a pint or all the points from Stamford bridge that day.

We all know his kind of person, he would want to show himself, say some works and prove his credibility as a coach. So, Chelsea should be up for a fight. And secondly, Benfica too, they have been battling bad times, they lost previously at home, and now they have a new coach, not just an ordinary coach, a well know one at that. I believe Jose has brought new hope and strength into the team. Am sure there heads are high and full of expectations.  With all this, I wouldn't confidently say it's a win win for  Chelsea,but am sure of a serious contention between the two teams. Benfica is not a small team to some extent that Chelsea will get to defeat easily. Even if Chelsea are in a good form, I don’t think they will have a smooth win here, this is Benfica we are talking about even though quality wise they’re not as strong as Chelsea. The champions league is a very tough competition that you can’t really tell what the outcome of a team will be no matter how stronger they are than their opponent. Bayern Munich was a bigger challenge for them, even though they’re coming up and getting themselves back on track. It was not an easy one for them but they’ll learn from there to make their challenge tougher for their coming games.

Chelsea still remains one of the contenders of the champions league trophy, so I’m not seeing them going in the wrong path but in the right direction while still improving in their games. Chelsea has been impressive for a while now, from last season till now is an improvement towards progress for them, so they’ll definitely be up to the task and deliver well this season also. The group stage matches will be full with a lot of challenges and until we see to the end of the match can we again confidently tell teams that will make it to the next round of the competition. The knockout stage is where the real deal is, I can’t wait for the competition to get there to know the best teams for the trophy.

I think this will be an easy win for them, atleast they can use this to get back on track because Chelsea just as you sighted are also not in great form, I really don't know what wrongs with the team but they have really lagged behind and this game against a Portuguese side would really helped them that's if they can utilize the game and make it a win because Mourinho and his new team will definitely come out looking for the points too.

Even if Chelsea are in a good form, I don’t think they will have a smooth win here, this is Benfica we are talking about even though quality wise they’re not as strong as Chelsea. The champions league is a very tough competition that you can’t really tell what the outcome of a team will be no matter how stronger they are than their opponent. It a win-win game situation, any team that qualified for the champions league competition can't be underrated, Chelsea aren't stable in their form right now, out of their 3 straight matches, they drew 2 of their Premier league games and lost 1, and in the Champions League they lost to Bayern Munich, they haven't won any game since their last 4 matches.

Chelsea's performance this season has been very unpredictable and if you are this kind of person who is going to stake on a Chelsea win every other game, then you are bound to get disappointed. In fact, Chelsea bets should completely be avoided for now in the sportsbook.

Most people got blinded by those UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup wins, but we are going to see Chelsea that is almost similar to the one of last season. Totally unpredictable in certain games (win hard games, lose easy games)
