That is not the case at all. Chelsea played nearly one full half one man down, but then they were equal number of player son the field due to Casemiro. So Chelsea could have won, second half they only had to score one more goal than they did, and they failed at it.

I honestly believe they are not as good as people think they are, and it was a mistake to send Nico Jackson away too. Jackson is one of the worst strikers I have seen in my life, but at least he was a striker, he was still scoring, and being terrible at it is still better than not being there.
