It's hard to believe, but this is what happened. Arsenal completely destroyed Atletico Madrid with a huge score. The match hadn't even entered the 80th minute, but Arsenal was already four goals ahead. Is Atletico Madrid really this bad? Honestly, I didn't think Atletico Madrid could be this bad. They had previously beaten Real Madrid by a big score in La Liga. But what happened now? I expected a more intense match, with both teams actually returning goals. But Arsenal dominated strongly and scored four goals. Although Atletico Madrid also managed to launch several attacks, none of their shots were on target.

I am an Arsenal fan, but I never expected more than 1-0 or 2-1 in this match because of the nature of the game of both teams; Semionie’s players are known for solid defending which result to conceding less goals, and Arsenal defense is also strong, therefore, I was expecting a narrow win in this match but unfortunately it turns out to be another thing entirely which I am happy with the outcome.

After the first half, I was expecting a 1-0 late win from the gunners through set-piece as usual, but when the goals start coming, it surprises the world because Victor Gyokeress has broken the deadlock and has scored brace in this match, and the game is still going on, Arsenal can score again.
My next aim is a clean sheet, I will like Arsenal to keep clean sheet in this match as well.

I think no one expected this result in the end. After first half i was thinking maybe it would be goalless or something but Arsenal just destroyed Atletico Madrid in the second half. What is good for Arteta is the Gyokeres finally scored and he scored two in the end and hopefully that streak goes into the premier league aswell for them

Arsenal is at their best performance before they met Atletico Madrid so there was no way that Arsenal wouldn't have won that match but i didn't expect that high score of 4:0, Arsenal is now becoming trustworthy unlike in the past when they get to a certain stage in the season and they begin to lose form but this season they have tried to maintain consistency. When some people were talking about how Atletico Madrid defeated Real Madrid i was basically saying that since Arsenal defeated Real Madrid in the Champions League last season that they will also win Atletico Madrid, and they did it without so much stress.
      Bayern Leverkusen against PSG was a thriller result because the match produced 9 goals and PSG didn't leave any stone untouched as they scored at every opportunity they got. All PSG hit players registered their name in the score sheet, it was indeed an awesome result.

@Simcard with the way PSG were scoring you thought they were the host?, they were actually the visitors. Bayer Leverkusen were humiliated in front of their own fans in their home ground, this PSG side has Zero chills.
I wasn’t surprised by the number of goals considering Leverkusen isn’t as in form as they’re used to and thus PSG side is always on the hunt for goals 2:7 is a considerate amount of goals it could have been more .

I was so disappointed with Atletico Madrid, who in a space if 13 minutes conceded 4 goals from an all attacking Arsenal side, I always thought it was gonna end in a draw or a tight win for Arsenal considering they’re home.

With the way that Atletico Madrid has actually been playing this season or should I say since last season that I wasn’t surprised seeing them actually getting whooped by Arsenal because to be sincere this were two teams added somewhere this season, for Arsenal everything is looking like it will be their season this time to actually lay their hands on a major trophy after a long while, for Atletico it is pointing to the direction that they should consider having a change because it looks more like Diego Simone is worn out already, for the the Argentine should consider leaving when the ovations are actually loud enough and it is right now.

Upon all the games today which almost all except two games had an over 2 goals I think the most surprising game is the PSV vs Napoli game for Goodness sake PSV putting 6 past the Italian champions wasn’t something I seriously think was expected, I don’t know but that odd will be a fat one seriously. For me this game already confirms yet another reason why we all think Conte doesn’t knows how to play knockout competitions like this, like I say Napoli can still go and win the Seria A take nothing away from them but they will struggle in the champions league and other cup tie competitions too

The first goal Arsenal scored disorganized Atletico Madrid’s entire plan, and the moment Arsenal scored, I knew that they will play an open ply game which will give Arsenal further chances of scoring more gold and that’s exactly what happened; Arsenal were waiting for opportunities to brake their defensive line, and immediately after they achieved the first goal, their aim was successfully achieved because they knew that Atletico Madrid players will come for an equalizer.

If you check the overall statistics of the game, Atletico Madrid only have one shot on target while Arsenal have six despite how tight Atletico Madrid defense was; and Arsenal have more ball possession more dangerous attempts and less yellow card in this game, this shows that Arsenal of this season can can still try in the Champions League because only Arsenal and Inter Milan are the only two teams that are yet to concede a goal.

Who is watching Napoli match, the Italian champions have been destroyed with 6-2. They play like shit and might not win any trophy this season in both competitions. Napoli entered this season with an impressive form making all team bow to there fit in there league games but today got humiliated by PSV in a champions league game that they are supposed to win in an easy way.  So far this season napoli have played 2 champions league games with a narrow win against sporting SP and lost in today's game against PSV which clearly Indicates weakness and inconsistent performance in this seasons champions league games. All games are quite strong and will matter a lot, we should not be expecting them to change it too much. We should be seeing how things will change and not going to be all that complicated.

Think about it, we should be seeing this be a lot more important and can mean so much for them at the same time. I know it's not going to be easy to handle but we are talking about a team that is going to do a wonderful job. If they can do that then with the way Arsenal playing, they should be getting three points very easily, because they are very strong and should be able to beat Madrid without trouble.  It's funny how Bayer Leverkusen got so beaten by PSG. At some point you'd think that any shot taken by them would result in a goal! The both sides were playing one man short but you'd think that PSG were complete and the others were not. 7:2 score line is enough embarrassment for Leverkusen and if I'm not mistaken, they are yet to record a win in this champions league since they managed to score a late draw against Monaco the last time.

Early today it was reported that ATM were furious with Arsenal football club and they also filled a complaint against Arsenal. The reason for this might sound petty to some but it's really a serious issue, ATM players trained at the Emirates stadium but it rain and of cause they continued. After training they went to the locker room to have a hot shower but low and behold there was no hot water for them to bath with, considering the rain, it wasn't ideal to shower with cold water so they left with their drenched body to the teams bus. Just this evening, it's also reported that Arsenal has apologised for that  though.
It was just funny when I saw this news.

ATM shouldn't use this hot water stunt as an excuse not to perform well oh, we are all looking forward for a another champions epic encounter between them and Arsenal, if there is no hot water after their evening training, surely there will be one after the match 😅. But Then the Arsenal management staffs needed to have checked if all the facilities were working optimumly since they were expecting visitors. However I'm seating on the fence in this encounter, I cannot really place my head on which side that are favourite to win because ATM is one team that is always full of surprises.

Lol, it took minor to be used as an excuse because they had already finished training. If it was the training facility that had issues, it would have been justified but not this. Tomorrow Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool are going to have their games. Due to good difference of quality most chances English clubs will be dominated but still Liverpool is going to Germany which is tricky for them because currently they are having 4 games losing streak which is having huge impact on their performance.
Chelsea are going to play their game at home against bottom side Ajax which is terrible Tottenham have trip of Monaco which is also not good in first games, but they can bounce back which could be interesting for fans as this is balance game.

I knew that in the end a draw was the most likely result for them but I didn't expect the result where Arsenal were very capable of making Atletico look like an ordinary club with 4 goals in this match even though they were the favorites to win from the start but I didn't expect the final score.

Atletico really seemed to be taught how to play football by Arsenal in this match and for the first time I saw 2 Madrid clubs completely destroyed at the hands of Arsenal in 2 consecutive seasons because previously Madrid also felt the same.

Atletico actually played quite openly to compensate for Arsenal's play in this match, it's just that their chaotic defense made it very easy for Arsenal to tear apart Atletico's defense which made the match like without significant resistance.
